Chapter 7
It was Saturday. Cadence and her sisters were out shopping. Some of the popular girls saw Cadence. They started whispering.
"Okay knock it off. What are you all even whispering about?" Prue said, starting to defend Cadence.
"Oh, haven't you heard? Of course not." They snickered. "You haven't been in this school."
"What is it, you bottle blondes?" Phoebe began.
"Rude. Mine's natural."
"I'm guessing so is that nose job?" Paige started.
"Anyway, what's your problem with our sister?" Prue began again.
"She looks nothing like you. What if the brown hair really is a wig? And what if she is a blonde. What then?"
Piper was fed up, but she held back the urge to blow their brains out of whack. "You better watch it. She is a brunette. Just because she has brown eyes doesn't mean anything. Phoebe's eyes are brown, too. So are Paige's and mine. Prue's eyes are green. So, what? We're related."
"And I don't care if she was blonde. Get out of here." Phoebe warned.
"Or what?"
Cadence found a surge of protective energy, and she went limp for a second. She looked like she was asleep standing up.
"Hey, what's wrong, Cadence? Are we boring you?"
"Are you hearing me, Cadence? You better watch your... AH!" The first blonde fell against the back wall as if she had been shoved.
Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige knew what she was doing. Astral Projection. "She doesn't mess with bullies and you girls most certainly are."
"I feel like I've seen a ghost!" Another blonde squealed.
Cadence woke up from her 'sleep'.
"Oh, gosh, we're out of here!" All the blondes left in a hurry.
"Now, that was fun. Come on, let's finish this and go home."
