Sarah looked at the picture in front of her. She never was one for doing art herself. But when things that happened to her and her little brother, she wanted to get it out of her mind. And the ways she was able to do that was writing it all out in a diary and drawing it out.
She did a few art works. Some she kept, and some was to just get out of her memory. Things she wanted to get out of her for good.
The good things were her friends, Hoggle, Sir Didymus and his 'brave steed' the shaggy dog Ambrosius, Ludo, and that cute worm she met for just a moment.
They were the ones she kept for herself. The ones she quickly put up in the attic was something similar to what she just finished. The dark side of her adventure. The Labyrinth itself. The hands. The other goblins. And the worst of all.Him.
Jareth The Goblin King.
Sarah frowned as she looked at it. She was unable to finish it. She had tried but couldn't. She stood grabbing the canvas and headed up to the attic. She put it with the others she hid up here.
She put it behind the picture she did of the Labyrinth. She sighed and shuddered rubbing her arms before heading back out of the attic.
That's it. She won't try to finish it and won't go back to it. Toby is safe. She is safe. She isn't in the grasp of the dreaded Goblin King. And she wouldn't ever be again. Never going to the Underground again.
Sarah's name was called, and she headed to the kitchen.
She saw her stepmom Susan in the kitchen. "Yeah?" Sarah asked. "Can you take Toby and his friend to the movies? Your dad is staying late at the office and a friend of mine is about to have a baby. I'm so sorry for asking, I know it's your day off. I'll pay you back." Susan said.
After the Labyrinth, the two had worked on their relationship. They were friendly. But like roommates more than family.
Sarah gave a smile. "Yeah, I can. I thought that Carol was due in two weeks?" Sarah said watching Susan. Susan nodded. "We all did. But I guess the baby wanted to come early. The movie is at four. It's Julia. You know where the house is? So, you can drop her off?" Susan asked.
"I don't think I do. Just text it to me just to be safe." She told her. Sarah left the kitchen to get things to head out.
After the movie, Sarah smiled as she listened to Toby and his friend Julia talk about the movie excitedly in the back of her car.
They had seen the new marvel movie and were dramatically chatting about it.
Sarah followed the GPS to the house that Julia lived. Sarah soon pulled in and parked.
She got out with the two kids. Going to the door as it opened. Sarah froze a moment as a handsome man opened the door. His blue eyes looked up and met Sarah's green ones. He smiled. "Hello. You must be Sarah. I'm Adam." He introduced holding out a hand for her.
Sarah gave a smile, taking his hand in hers. "It's nice to meet you." She didn't know it yet, but this was the start of something that was both wonderful and horrendous.
