Hey babes! Back again with a new one for ya!

If I'm being honest, I think I'm starting to run out of song lyrics from We Three to use as story titles, lol. My goal was to use just We Three lyrics as story titles (for whatever reason I can't remember) so I may have to switch to something else soon. We'll see what happens.

Enjoy!

Doing her best to maintain the professional smile on her face, despite the sudden wave of nausea that takes over and turns her stomach, Skye approaches the tall woman standing a little ways down the carpet, a microphone held in her hand and a smile on her face. She fights back the urge to rest a hand on her stomach, knowing the eagle-eyed fans online will pick up on it and start speculating before she and Grant want the news to be out there for the world.

"Hello everyone," the carpet host says into the camera in front of her as Skye gets closer, "and welcome back to tonight's live orange carpet coverage of this year's Teen Choice Awards. Right now I'm being joined by one of the nominees for tonight, Skye. Thanks so much for talking to us." She smiles over at the actress, focusing all of her attention.

Skye smiles politely back at the woman. "No problem. I'm glad to be here."

"So, you're nominated for an award tonight."

Skye nods and breathes deeply. "I am, yes."

"And how does that feel?"

"Honestly? It feels pretty great." She laughs quietly. "It's not my first time doing something like this, but I'm still really excited about it. I'm being nominated for playing a character that I love so it's a great acknowledgment of all the work that I put into portraying her. Even after all these years, the fans still love her, and knowing that they've voted to even get me this far is a pretty great feeling."

"That is nice. And if I'm correct, this is the first year since you started working together playing Daisy and JT, that Grant Ward has not also made it to the final round of nominations alongside you. What's that been like over the voting period?"

"It hasn't been too bad," Skye admits. "He's been so supportive of me throughout this whole thing. Every chance he could find he was online and either voting for me or encouraging all of our fans to vote for me. I think he's a little excited to play the role of 'proud husband' instead of 'nervous nominee' for a change."

"Well, that sounds very sweet."

Skye smiles at the thought. "It is. And I love it. He's been absolutely great about all of this. I think he hopes I win tonight more than I do." She lets out a small laugh.

The interviewer laughs as well. "Well, I'll let you go now so you can head inside. But I wish you the best of luck tonight."

Skye smiles. "Thank you." She gives a quick smile and wave to the camera as she steps down off the platform, handing her microphone to a guy standing nearby.

Walking away from the platform, she's greeted by Grant smiling softly at her and holding out his hand. "You were great up there." He gives her a quick peck on the cheek. "Just like you always are."

"Thanks." She smiles back at him, taking his hand and interlacing their fingers together. "I still wish you made it to the final nominations too, though. It's way more fun when we get to be excited for each other and tell everyone to vote for the other one."

He smiles. "I know. But it's like you said, this time I get to play 'supportive husband' instead of 'nervous nominee' like you for once."

She points a finger at him. "Hey, I never said anything about being nervous."

"But you know you are."

She sighs and drops her hand. "Yeah. Why am I so nervous? I've done this so many times before."

"It's natural to feel nervous, no matter how many awards you've won. How are you feeling, though?" he asks, his eyes drifting down briefly to her still-flat stomach.

"I'm good," she tells him, fighting back the laugh at seeing the pained look in his eyes at not being able to openly touch her stomach like he does at home. She grabs his hand and gives it a small squeeze. "Just a little nausea, nothing I can't handle."

He smiles. "Okay. Now come on, let's get inside." He gently tugs her in the direction of the auditorium doors. They smile and wave at some of the fans they pass by on their way inside, stopping for a few pictures along the way.

Skye has been a bundle of nerves all night as she's waited for her category to finally be reached. Thankfully, she's had Grant by her side the entire time and has been able to hold his hand tightly for that extra reassurance. It's so much easier to seek comfort from him in public spaces now that the world knows they're in a relationship.

Soon enough, after several categories have gone by and other actors and singers have gone up to the stage to receive their surfboards and give a speech, it's finally her time. Well, her category's time. There's still a chance one of the other actresses will win. And she'll be perfectly happy for them.

"This is my favorite category to present for," the young man on stage says into the microphone standing center stage. "Choice Actress in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show. Two of my favorite things: strong female characters and Sci-Fi/Fantasy." The crowd cheers.

"You're not the only one who loves this category," the young girl on stage says with a smile. "There were a ton of votes coming in for this category during the voting period. But before we reveal the winner, here's another quick look at the nominees."

"Choice Actress in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show," the overhead voice rings through the auditorium. The names and clips of all the nominees are shown on the screen one by one, being announced by the voice. Each nominee gets its fair share of cheering and shouting from the crowd.

The screen fades out once all the nominees are announced and the two presenters step back toward the mic, the young girl holding the envelope that contains the name of the winner.

"And the winner for Choice Actress in a Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show is...Skye!"

Beaming, Skye happily accepts the hug and kiss from her husband, her head still reeling. Despite the few awards she already has under her belt, she never goes in thinking that she will one hundred percent win, she always likes to keep herself realistic. It almost makes it all that much better when she does win.

She quickly stands from her seat when Grant gently nudges her, accepting hugs from some of the people around her, and then makes her way up to the stage. Her smile widens when she registers the cheering from the fans in the audience, smiling and waving at them as she passes by.

She accepts the award being held out to her by a young girl and gives quick hugs to the two presenters. She moves to stand in front of the microphone and smiles out at the crowd, glancing down briefly at the surfboard in her hands.

"Wow. This is...amazing. I've been playing this character for a few years now, and every time you guys show me how much she means to you it truly makes me feel like one of the luckiest people on the planet. Thank you so much for voting for me, your support means the world. And an extra big thank you to my wonderful husband for just...everything. I love you, Grant, thank you for constantly putting up with and supporting me every step of the way. You are my everything and I'm so glad we have each other. Getting an award like this never gets old, so thank you to all the fans. You truly are the best fans in the world. Thank you."

The smile remains on her face as she walks off the stage into the wings, waiting for a commercial break so she can go back down to her seat and rejoin her husband.

He immediately pulls her into a tight hug, his lips planting a kiss on her cheek. "I'm so proud of you," he says in her ear. "You still amaze me every single day."

A blush creeps up her cheeks and she's thankful for her face being buried in Grant's neck so no one can see. She blames it mostly on the hormones, though, for her blushing like that. It's absolutely all the hormones' fault.
