Most students had arrived at U.A. with dreams of becoming heroes. Itsuka Kendo had only one small, meager hope: to finally get a break from her father.

All for One had spies all over Japan. From a young age, Itsuka had become accustomed to clerks at stores greeting her by name without being introduced and asking her to pass along their regards to her father. Surveillance cameras popped up around her dojo and her favorite park. When she walked to school, she was escorted by local thugs who appeared out of nowhere. All for One had bribed and controlled every single one of her teachers.

Itsuka had studied like mad to enter U.A., the only school with such high security that her father couldn't breach it. She didn't care about becoming a hero. She just wanted an escape from having her every move recorded on camera for her father's home videos. Once she reached the age of majority, she could flee to another country. For high school, a little privacy would allow her to keep her sanity.

On the first day, the students of Class 1-B each stood up and introduced themselves. Itsuka listened carefully. It would be nice to make her very first friends who didn't owe her dad a favor.

A blond boy stood up. "My name is Neito Monoma! I'm the unquestioned best in this school, number one, the center of the universe—"

Itsuka karate-chopped Neito in the neck.

As Neito collapsed, Itsuka winced. "Sorry, you reminded me so much of my father that I smacked you by reflex."

In the cafeteria, Neito leapt up on a chair to taunt Class 1-A. "It's embarrassing how you haven't yet realized your inferiority to me."

"All for One! How did you invade my school?" Itsuka hit him from behind.

Class 1-A applauded.

Looking down at Neito's fallen body, Itsuka said, "Oh, it wasn't him, it's just the blond kid again."

Seriously, could she be blamed for being fooled? The tone of voice when they monologued, the pose with a hand on the forehead, and the aura of ego were all identical!

Neito lunged, grabbing the last donut on the counter. "Mine! All mine!"

"Don't be greedy, Dad." Itsuka karate-chopped him. Then she blinked and rubbed her eyes. "Huh, I must be half asleep, I thought I heard my father hogging the last donut again." She stepped over Neito's body without noticing him.

In the middle of a training exercise, Neito copied Itsuka's quirk. As his fist swelled up, he cried, "My ability is the strongest, because I can access all quirks."

"AHHHHHHHHHHH! You even have Dad's power! Give back my quirk!" Itsuka punched with all her might.

"We're on the same team! What did I do this time?" Neito wailed from the ground.

Itsuka ducked into an empty classroom and locked the door. After triple-checking that no one was around, she called her father.

"Finally you call me!" All for One cried. "I've been going into withdrawal. I've never been so long without being able to watch you over a hidden camera. I told you to call me every hour, my strawberry."

"Yeah, and I told you I wouldn't do that." Itsuka rolled her eyes.

"How's your training with One for All going?"

"Dad, I didn't inherit One for All." She resisted the urge to karate-chop her phone at the sound of his smug voice.

"Ah, yes, you're still trying to keep it secret." All for One chuckled. "I understand."

"You don't understand anything." Itsuka groaned. "I'm not particularly interested in being a hero, and I've never met All Might."

All for One continued as if she hadn't said anything. "It's great to have my brother's quirk back in the family again, even if we're destined to fight. That's how it works with family."

If she could be a decoy for the real holder, then at least that would be slightly useful. Itsuka gave up on trying to insert reality into her father's strange brain. That was always a lost cause. She took a deep breath. "Dad, I need you to be honest with me. Do you have a secret son named Neito Monoma? I won't be angry, I promise. You and Mom never dated, I overheard you admitting years ago that I was an accident. You didn't cheat. I just need to know."

"What are you talking about? You're my only child."

"Are you certain?"

"Given that I'm infertile, you're a miracle, my strawberry."

"If you had one child, you might have another."

All for One sighed deeply. "I run a background check on everyone I sleep with and monitor them for months afterward. I'm certain that I have no surprise children."

"Ewwww. You are such a weirdo." Itsuka groaned. "I should have attended Shiketsu High School."

"Great idea. I own their principal."

"Dammit!"
