'Thoughts'

Parseltongue

Another Upperlander

(With Harry)

Harry was in his room meditating. The doctor had recommended it to help with his magic. Since he wasn't using it as often as before it was restless. The green eyed teen never realized how much magic he had been using beforehand and wondered if his magic was the only reason he was still alive.

'Was it always healing me and I never noticed?' He wondered.

"Harry?" It was Tyva.

"Yes?" He looked at her.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

"I'm having a hard time meditating." He answered.

"Do you know why?" She asked.

"I can't turn my thoughts off." He said.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.

"With my magic being so restless it makes me wonder." He said.

Tyva sat down next to him. She knew this was hard for him. She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. He gave her a shaky smile.

"What are you wondering about?" She asked after a couple minutes of silence.

"Well my magic was never restless before. In fact I didn't even know I was a wizard until my eleventh birthday." He revealed.

"Okay." She nodded.

"The doctor said that my magic was restless due to not using it. I wonder if my magic was always healing me and that is why it was never restless before." He said.

"I see. How does that make you feel?" She asked, 'I feel the need to find your relatives and kill them.' She thought.

"Sick. It makes me feel sick." He answered.

"As it should. What they did to you was sickening and wrong." She said.

"But-"

"There are no buts. No matter what a child does they don't deserve to be abused." She said.

Harry sighed. "I know. It's just hard telling myself that. I spent so long believing that I was a freak and therefore deserved it all."

"I know." She ran a finger down his cheek. "That is why I will remind you as much as you need that you are special and deserve love."

"Thank you." He sobbed.

"You're welcome." She hugged him close.

She let Harry cry. Eventually he cried himself to sleep. She cleaned his face and tucked him in. She kissed his cheek and left the room. Tyva then went to the kitchen. Everyone was there. They looked so pissed.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"We heard what happened." Tarrant said. "Poor thing believes he deserves it."

"Sickening." His father said.

"I know." She said.

"What can we do?" Tarrant asked.

"Just show him love." His mom said.

"Too bad we can't kill them." Paloo muttered.

"Or torture them." Pimlick said.

"I agree." Zanik said.

"As much as I do agree with that we can't. Let's just focus on getting Harry to heal and realize he deserves love." Tyva said.

"You're right." The others said.

"I'm going to let Chessur know. That way he is aware to choose his words wisely." Tarrant said.

"Alright." His dad said. "I am going to let the queen know."

"Okay." They said,

Later that day Harry woke up. His head was pounding. He went to the kitchen and found Zanik. He took one look at his ward and knew he was in pain. He grabbed the painkillers and gave Harry one pill.

"Thank you." He said.

"You're welcome. Are you ready for lunch?" He asked.

"Yes please."

"Great. I'll start making it. Make sure you take your vitamins." He reminded the child.

"I will." He said before taking the painkiller.

"Good." He smiled before making the food.

Harry went to where his vitamins were and quickly took them. He then sat down and waited. Zanik soon gave him a bowl of soup and a sandwich. He then grabbed some for himself. He sat down next to Harry and they began eating.

"Where are the others?" He asked.

"The kids are out with friends and the adults are getting some shopping done." He answered.

"Oh okay." He said.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Physically I am feeling better. I never realized how much pain I was in until now." He answered.

"I'm glad you are feeling better physically." He said, hating the pain the child was in beforehand.

"Mentally…well…" He trailed off not knowing how to continue.

"It's okay. All that you went through and all that you are learning can put a major strain on your mental health." He said.

"It feels like a rollercoaster." He admitted.

"Rollercoaster?" Zanik had never heard of those.

"Oh um, it's a ride." He grabbed a pen and paper and quickly drew one. "Like this. This cart will take a person along the tracks."

"I see." That was interesting and he wished to learn more but that would have to wait.

"Sometimes I feel good, other times bad, and sometimes I feel like I'm going through a loop or going upside down." The wizard said.

"We expected that. Luckily you speak to the doctor tomorrow. Make sure to tell him about this." He said.

"I will." He promised.

"Good."

The two finished eating and Harry went back to his room. He tried meditating once more. This time he was able to clear his mind. His magic caused him to levitate, as well as levitate a few things in his room. He also glowed a soft emerald color. That was how Zanik found him when he went to check on him.

'Wow.' He was shocked. 'Beautiful.'

He quietly left so as to not disturb the child. When the others returned home he made sure they stayed quiet. They all checked in on him and thought it was beautiful. They then left him alone. A couple hours later Harry came out of his meditative state. HIs room had returned to normal and he was no longer levitating or glowing.

'I feel a lot better.' He thought.

Harry left his room and found the others in the kitchen. He took his vitamins and meds and grabbed the plate handed to him. Tarrant was the first to speak to him.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"A lot better." He answered.

"That's good. When you are given the all clear to use magic again, can I see it?" He asked.

"I don't see why not." He said.

"Great." Tarrant grinned,

"I won't do anything too advanced. I never even finished my first year at Hogwarts," He said.

"That actually reminds me. I ran into Aquarius Black." Tyva said.

"Oh? Wait, isn't she from Upperland? Like Harry?" Her husband asked.

"She is. She is also a witch. I told her about Harry and she is interested in meeting him and possibly teaching him." She revealed.

Zanik looked at Harry. "How do you feel about that?" He asked.

"I wouldn't mind. I do want to continue my education." He said.

"But it terrifies you." He picked up on it.

"Yes." Harry admitted.

"That's okay. We will be here and support you on whatever you decide." He said.

"She did say it was up to you." Tyva told him.

"I want to meet her." He decided. "As long as you both are there."

"We will be." The two said.

"I'll send her a letter." Tyva said.

"Okay." Harry said.

The rest of the meal they talked about the tea party Tarrant was planning. Harry was even going to be there. He just couldn't eat any sweets. He would be having sandwiches instead.

(One Week Later)

Harry, Tyva, and Zanik were in the living room. The others left but were nearby just in case. Soon Aquarius arrived. She seemed familiar to Harry. Like he had seen her before but he knew he hadn't. She smiled at him.

"Oh my goodness. I thought I recognized your name." She said.

"I'm sorry?" He looked confused.

"No, I must apologize. You may not know this but my brother is your godfather." She said.

"Godfather?" He looked shocked.

"Sirius Black?" She looked confused.

"I don't know him." He told her.

"He was your parent's best friend." She said.

"I never knew my parents. They died when I was a baby." He told her.

"Oh." That was a shock. "Can you give me your hand? I have a special ability that allows me to see your memories but I must be touching you." Aquarius informed him.

"O-okay." He shook as he held out his hand.

"It won't hurt." She promised.

She lightly touched him. She ignored the flinch as memories flooded into her mind. The woman scowled as she removed her hand. Dumbledore was going to pay. Just as soon as she figured out a way to return to Upperland.

"Oh sweetie." She said, "I am so sorry." She then told him about his father's friends.

"If I had a godfather, why did I go to the Dursleys?" He asked.

"I have no clue. Once I figure out how to get back there I will be finding out." She vowed.

"Thank you." He whispered.

"You're welcome. I'm sorry I wasn't around to take you in. My parents believed I was a squib since they never saw me do any accidental magic. They actually did but believed it was my twin brother, Regulus, that performed it. They abandoned me in the non magical world. I was adopted by another family. My name changed to Penelope Andrews. When I received my letter I dyed my hair brown. I met my brothers and they recognized me. They kept my secret so that our parents couldn't have me again. You were two months old when I fell down a rabbit hole." She told him.

"I fell through a mirror." He said.

"I saw that." She said.

"So you can teach him magic?" Tyva asked.

"Yes. I have a mastery in Runes and Potions. I was top of my class back at school and had been planning to teach. I also have my old school books. I was on my way to sell them when I fell so they came with me." She explained.

"Well the doctor wants to hold him off for another week." She said.

"That's fine. I want to take a bit to set up a test. I want to see exactly where he is at. I only got snippets. Most I know is that Snape bullied him and didn't teach him properly. You see Harry, Snape and your mum used to be friends. James used to bully Snape for being friends with her. One year he called her a mudblood. It is an insult for muggleborns. They stopped being friends and soon after Lily started dating James." She told him.

"I knew he had it out for me!" Harry exclaimed.

"He did. It also didn't help that you were muggle raised. There is a class all muggle raised children are supposed to take to help them learn about the wizarding world. Unfortunately my year was the last year that class was offered. Many purebloods wanted to alienate muggleborns and so they voted to have that class removed." Aquarius said.

"That is awful." He said.

"It is. Now do you remember what your grades were?" She asked.

"Potions was Acceptable, History was poor, Defense was Outstanding, and the rest was Exceeds Expectations." He told her.

"Okay. Give me a couple weeks and I will have a test made to assess what you know." She said.

"Okay." He was excited to learn. "Um…." He trailed off.

"Yes?"

"Could you tell me about my parents? Specifically my mum? No one talks about her and all I hear about my dad was that he was this perfect person. Well, except for Snape. He just says he is a bully and I am just like him." He said.

"Of course. I will also bring the few photos I have of them." She said.

"Thank you." He smiled.

"You're welcome." She smiled back.

Soon after she left. Harry went to his room to meditate. His foster parents went about their day. When the others came back they were informed what happened. They were all pleased with the outcome.
