Adam only packed half of his things when packing to go on his trip, usually he packed extra things to go on the road and not return until the next holiday.

A day or two passes and Adam takes a drive out to a Minneapolis library to pick up the last of his research material before leaving for the trip.

Once there he gets lost among the books, sometime in the afternoon as kids start coming out of school, Adam snaps out of it. Adam goes to the front desk to get his material but just then chaos erupts.

In what seems to be school children from all over come rushing inside the library. While the librarians are trying to calm the children down, they're screaming that there's a villain outside burning everything down.

The few adults that have their phones on them are already calling 911 and video taping everything they can see from the front door. Adam is lost for words and actions.

Suddenly the temperature in the library shoots up as the villain comes crashing through the windows into the library.

As the villain hovers over all the innocent civilians, he starts ranting about the public injustices that are plaguing America. It didn't seem that he wanted to have a discussion since whenever someone would say something, he'd threaten to scorch them to death.

Adam was still standing where he was as he watched the villain hover over innocent with confidence.

Eventually someone asked who this villain was.

"You can call me, The Firefly!"

There were some snickers, which didn't seem to bother the Firefly but when a child tried to throw the villain with a book, he took that seriously.

As the Firefly took aim at the child, just before the flames of his flamethrower could reach them, a heavy satchel knocked them out of the way.

The Firefly looked at Adam and through the mask, Adam could tell the Firefly was disgusted and angry.

The Firefly started talking at Adam as if to scold a child, putting himself at risk to partially save someone else.

While speaking, the librarian Adam was speaking to ran for one of the doors. The Firefly wanted to immediately use her to show Adam that saving people was futile.

The Firefly took aim but before he could fire, Adam had jumped between the lady and the flamethrower. The Firefly was surprised but decided that he was still going to fire and burn a hole through Adam.

Before the Firefly could pull the trigger, he was knocked to the ground by a mace. As he landed, he was shot with an arrow that flung a tightly wound net over him, making it impossible for him to move.

When the Firefly finally got his bearings again and looked up to the two heroes standing over him, he cursed under his breath.

Adam was still standing with his arms stretched out waiting to be burned alive. So he was very surprised when a hand rested on his shoulder with the words: You've done enough.

With a fright, Adam opened his eyes to see Hawkman congratulating him and Green Arrow standing over the villain.

Adam didn't know what part to tell his sister first, or whether to tell her.
