I had this idea in my mind, but never thought much of it. i wondered how others will react at it. Tell me about your thoughts and views over it.

Hope you all like it.

Her crimson eyes watched the corpses with pity and anger. The armor she wore belonged to the Legendary Class, one rank lower than the Divine Class. Yet, it was not weak enough to take blows and shatter into pieces.

Shalltear Bloodfallen was beyond pissed. Not only she was confused about her whereabouts, the fact that the only intelligent creatures she found so far were humans, was disappointing. They attacked at her first, and while she could have survived their puny attempts to make her submit, Shalltear was not an patient girl... vampire.

So, either out of mood swing or self-defense, she obliterated their futile efforts with her Lance alone. The blood and HP they provided were extremely small, courtsey to their weaknesses. She hardly registered the drain ability of hers on them, as they did not rise up to fight back. They had died, way too easily.

"Bunch of trash... it was a wasted effort, but atleast I have confirmed that this land did not hold a candle against me." Shalltear surmised.

As she was about to leave this place, she attempted to check the area one last time. Just out of curiosity. If there were prisoners, especially the intelligent ones, then she would not mind their company. A quick info was what she needed right now.

"[Life Essence]"

The world around her changed as different auras of HP welcomed her sight. There were no survivors in this human hideout. Either the prisoners had died, or they never had any. It explained why they suddenly attacked at her.

Her thoughts got interrupted as she heard noises from the bushes.

"Who's there?!" She demanded.

Her gaze sensed a presence, a living one, hidden in the bushes. She quickly leaped towards the bushes and demanded, "Show yourself, otherwise it won't be pretty."

Her Lance directed at the bushes as the newcomer slowly came out of it.

Tanned skin, spiky black hair with green streaks, and on top of that, clad in green attire. His round hazel eyes watched her with fear. For next few minutes, none of them talked to each other. They only stared at one another, either with curiosity or terror.

"Well, are you going to introduce yourself, or should I start puncturing you like them?" She pointed her finger at the now dead humans as a part of scaring the boy. Though she could just mind control him to get the information of this unknown place, she found the idea of playing with her food way more entertaining.

The boy in question was honestly not good in controlling his emotions, as fear crept at his face. Or, he was just that good of an actor. Shalltear would never know.

"M-My name is G-Gon Freecss."

"And where are we?"

"Y-You are at the Whale Island's forest..." the boy quivered in her presence as her bloodlust was totally directed at the boy in question. Though she must commend his bravery for standing this long in front of her.

"Hmm, Whale Island? Never heard of it. Do you know about YGGDRASIL? Helheim?" she further enquired.

"YGGDRASIL? Helheim?"

At her questions, the boy was visibly confused as he could not comprehend what she meant. His eyes showed no essence of lies, or he was really being truthful with her. She could not tell.

For next few minutes, she asked various things from him, but none of the names sparked any response out of his innocently confused face. The only term she got out from him was the "World Tree", the tallest tree of this world that many people had yearned to climb at. But it was not sitting well with her.

After few more series of questioning, she lost any sort of interest she had in him. It was like the boy had nothing interesting to say.

"Tch, I do not really get it. Why the hell am I here? I should be in Nazarick. Not this forest!" She exclaimed. Her patience was running thin.

From what he told her, the humans that she had killed were poachers killing innocent creatures of this forest to make easy money. She was not moved by that. She was not just in Nazarick, she was completely ignorant of her whereabouts as well. Her father, Lord Peroroncino, had left the guild for reasons unknown to her.

Well, it was not just Lord Peroroncino, but also the other Supreme Beings except Lord Momonga, who abandoned the Tomb without any cause. Sometimes Lord Momonga came to her floors to speak with her about how much he missed the time he spent with Lord Peroroncino. Shalltear understood that the Supreme Ruler of Nazarick loved every member of the guild and cared for the welfare of Nazarick. She respected the Lord of her Lord, the master of Tomb and from the deepest part of her dead heart, loved him so much.

Unfortunately, he was also not here with her. She was officially lonely and homeless at this point.

"What's the point of this life if my father is not here? To think he abandoned me, I should have just died." She concluded her next course of her action.

If the Supreme Ruler had discarded her out of the Nazarick, then it was obvious that Shalltear had committed a sin that even made the Overlord of Nazarick to sent her away.

Though she could not kill herself that easily, she chose to remain inactive until she would find a perfect way to kill herself.

However, someone else was here too, who quickly interjected at her proposal.

"Wait!"

The evergreen boy was still here, watching her with sidelines. While she could have killed him for being a nuisance, she decided to hear him as well. If the boy had some interesting knowledge, if this human could give her something that might interest her master, then she would not getting interrupted by him a thousand times.

"You must not harm yourself! I have lost my father too. He abandoned me as well, but that did not give me a reason to kill myself!" Gon reasoned with her as he told her a part of his history.

Shalltear blinked at what she had just heard.

This boy was abandoned as well, and yet he had no problems with it? What was he talking about? Did he not love his father, the one who brought him into this world?

"You don't love your father?" she asked with a surprised tone. At which, Gon shooked his head.

"No, I do love him. But... I don't know why he'd left me. I want to know the reasons for him leaving me. I want to follow his footsteps to better understand the reasons for why he left me. So that way, I may be ablebring him back to me." Gon told her about his plan. The plan which piqued her curiosity as well.

His plan was excellent. If she followed him, or his plan, then she might be able to find Peroroncino as well. By knowing his preferences and tastes, which she was already aware of, she could make herself better than her current self. To be able to stand with him and even adored by him.

"Your plan is good..." She could not help, but said it aloud.

"And what your father's cause for leaving you? Do you have any idea?" Shalltear asked.

She herself had known that his creator had passions for lust and had a lot of money to buy new concubines into his harem. But he did not do so. Therefore, he seemed to be invested into some other form of passions.

Gon smiled at her question and immediately replied.

"Yeah. He is the world's most renowned Hunter. I will do the same and take part in the Hunter Exam."

"Huh? Your father is a... hunter?" she asked like it was the most unexpected type of work.

The son was clearly against of poaching and animal hunting, but the father had no issues for hunting or being a hunter. Just what kind of logic was that? But again, she never understood how the human mind worked at all. She could not judge him.

"You want to hunt animals or beasts, right? Why not start hunting the animals of this forest then? It will be a good exercise."

"Wa-Wait! That's not what I meant!" Gon stopped her with a flabbergasted face as he explained the term "Hunter" to her.

In this world, Hunters were similar to that of players who travelled to the depths of the unexplored regions of the World. They hunted for treasures, foods, unknown places, rare minerals, fight criminals and exotic creatures. They were more like explorers than the actual hunters.

And the organization which orchestrated this whole Hunter business was called Hunter Association. They examined the new applicants and provided them the Hunter License, a symbol of them becoming a Hunter. It was a special card that granted both the free information regarding the places one wanted to visit and the places that were restricted to the general populace.

Shalltear liked the way that they provided the free information to the Hunters and how the exam was generally held. As for transportation services, she had various means to reach the distant locations.

She thanked the boy and asked one last question to him.

"So, how do I join this Hunter Exam?"
