Adam could still feel the shoulder of the translator as he pushed him away, however in the blinding blink of an eye, the translator had vanished.
Adam was standing on his own in a type of building he'd never seen before, and he didn't know how he'd got there.
Before Adam's brain could process even breathing, he threw up. Adam then proceeded to have a type of reaction that was very similar to having an epileptic episode.
Through shaking and having no control over his body, he saw some people that didn't quite look like people approach him. Just as the two shapes stood over him, he noticed one indicate to the other not to touch him.
They spoke and decided it was best to leave Adam in his state, convulsing and throwing up.
Eventually Adam passed out, between fits, hoping for death.
When Adam came to, he was laying down on an elevated bench that seemed like it was supposed to be a bed. Adam struggled to even lift his head, but as he eventually managed to rise up, he noticed that he still has on his vomit-covered shirt on.
The texture of the vomit indicated he'd been passed out well into twenty-four hours. As he touched his collar bone, Adam noticed that he was wearing a metallic collar. Tightly wound on his neck but not constrictive in any way.
While fidgeting with the collar, Adam finally took a look at the space he was in. Wishing that the vomit was a dream would be nice, but then he'd have to ignore the amazing sites of what was in the room and outside the room.
Within the room, Adam saw many contraptions that he recognized from his travels as alien technology. The technology however that he saw clearly had been aged, whereas the same technology here was in prestige condition.
Adam finally looked out what can be called a window, except this was clearly not like what he'd grown up with or ever seen. The 'window' was so thick, it looked like it alone was a foot in width. Yet it was also so clear that the only way Adam knew he was looking through something is because the 'glass' had holograph information on it. Most of the information he couldn't read though.
Eventually looking pass the glass, and in between the information; Adam looked out in a great beyond.
Adam saw that he was in a type of high rise building but definitely not on Earth. He knew he wasn't on Earth because a few hundred miles away, between the 'city' he was in and the next city, was a dying star over a black hole.
Immediately, Adam heard someone enter the room, startled, Adam turned around and balled his fists.
The person entered and noticed that Adam was not relaxed so they came in with their hands raised in surrender.
Adam tried to communicate questions and statements. The other being who, now that Adam could comprehend what he was seeing wasn't even a human, was speaking and signalling with their hands but Adam couldn't clearly understand.
Adam's vitals started escalating so the being motioned for patience. As Adam calmed slightly, they moved closer and Adam thought the being looked slightly effeminate.
Once the light properly caught the being, Adam noticed that they were also slightly bluer than a normal human being would be.
The being motioned towards the collar on Adam's neck, then to their wrist; which Adam noticed had a type of watch or metallic band on.
Adam became irate thinking that the being was showing that they can control him. At this the being was about to touch the wristband when Adam rushed the being, knocking them to the ground.
As the two struggled on the ground, three more beings walked in, all of them looking as effeminate as the other. Between looking at the one on the ground, Adam looked up to see the one in the middle double tap her wrist and move the band until it was on their throat like his collar.
"Please take your hands off of my student," she unholstered her side-arm "or I will have to incapacitate you for another couple of cycles."
"You can speak English?" Adam was surprised.
"No, you're speaking Rannian" she points at her throat "and I've switched my device to actively transpond and translate. My student would've done that too, if you gave them the chance."
Adam looks down embarrassed at the student. The student is nervous as it holds the base of its neck on the left, supposedly smiling.
