Adam tried not to give any sign that he was weak, for fear of being probed and any other type of harm to himself. But Adam did get off of the student, he feared his weight would seriously hurt him.
The physiology of the aliens were perplexing, Adam could tell they all were effeminate but not all of them were female. What Adam would call hair, not all of them had but when they did have it, it wasn't just the females.
The woman that entered with the other students eventually introduced herself while the students slowly vacated the room.
"My name is Alanna."
"Adam."
"What is an 'Adam'?"
"What," Adam takes a second to realize "my bad, I meant my name is Adam."
"Where are you from, Adam?"
"Earth, a little planet you kidnapped..."
"We know which planet you're from," Alanna interrupts Adam "I meant where on the planet are you from?"
"America. The United States of America."
"Is that your allegiance?"
"I suppose so."
"Was this where we found you?"
"No, I was in Caramanga when your beam took me."
"Yes, we know that place."
Adam starts feeling uneasy, but not like vomiting. Adam decides to ask a few questions.
"Why did you guys kidnap me?"
"Why were you in Caramanga?" Alanna asks, almost like she didn't hear his question.
"I'm an archeologist, I was there on a dig excavation." Adam was concerned "Are you interrogating me?"
"You're not being held down or attacked unnecessarily." she shoots him a look like this is his fault "Does your species value your own excrement?"
"Of course," Adam was about to scream in disagreement and then realized that that may be false "I guess, it's not universal but those people are considered outliers."
"Do you like your own vomit?"
"No, why?"
"You haven't taken off your shirt or tried to clean yourself in anyway." she points at her fingers "We researched that some Earthlings roll in dirt, some like themselves then produce a hairball. Others have mates or members of the society clean them for them."
While Alanna goes on about the different ways 'Earthlings' clean themselves, Adam starts to think if she's not talking about every living thing on earth and not just the people.
"Well, humans can only do so much for ourselves."
"Noted, on average; how many children can your species produce?" a student comes back in the room to call Alanna out.
Adam wants to allow her to leave but Alanna waits for an answer.
"We don't have any twins in the family so for me, it'll depend on the amount of attempts." Adam felt a little vulnerable at this answer.
Alanna left without saying a word, another two students entered the room to ensure Adam didn't leave while Alanna left with the student who came to fetch her.
So time later, a student of Alanna arrived with new clothes for Adam, however, he had to change in front of them.
Once cleaned and dressed, Adam was ushered to another floor within the building. Once he entered the room, there was a soldier stationed near the back and an older man working on something, these men still looked more effeminate than most human females.
Adam's ushers left him at the door.
"My name is Sardath, do you know that Alanna dressed you like a pilot?"
"Excuse me," as Adam approached the older man he realized that the old man doesn't have a band around his throat "what do you mean pilot?"
"Well, you see we don't like our vomit as much as you do," Adam rolls his eyes "but we do value purpose."
The old man walks closer to Adam.
"What do you value," the old man puts a hand on Adam's shoulder "besides vomit?"
Adam notices that the old man doesn't have a band on at all.
"Are you speaking English?"
"Yes, and imagine my surprise that you're speaking back to me in Rannian."
"Rannian?"
"Yes," the old man ushers Adam to the window and the soldier steps aside "here on Rann, we speak Rannian. Maybe one day, your people will speak Terran."
