Hey, everyone! I've been gone for a while but now I'm back. Writer's block is a bitch!

The word count is 917 words. Warning for male pregnancy and mentions of cheating. I hope you all enjoy Life Finds a Way (And Love Saves the Day).

"Life finds a way," the male voice breaks me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?" I asked, blinking in confusion.

"Life finds a way," the dark-haired male in front of me repeats himself looking at me as though I was some kind of monster for not hanging off of his every word.

I nodded as though I knew what he was talking about. I feel the flutter of something in my stomach and look down knowing that the subject was me.

You might be asking why I, Oliver Wood, would be the subject of whatever conversation was happening around me. The answer in short was that I had somehow managed to do something that was thought impossible.

I, Oliver, was pregnant. Yes. You heard that right. I did indeed say pregnant. I know how ridiculous that sounds because men can't get pregnant. It's not something that they are able to do.

"Oliver, love," my lover of three years, Percy says, turning toward me in concern, "I thought you would want to listen to what the Healer is saying."

"I was listening, Perce," I told him, rolling my eyes feeling every ounce of the monster the Healer thought I was. "Life finds a way. What exactly does that mean?"

"It means that you, my friend are a miracle," the Healer, a man who was the same year of Hogwarts as Percy and myself, answered as though this made things any easier to understand. "You are—"

"Do you have any idea how this child is going to come into the world?" I asked, hoping he wasn't going to make me go through a natural birth like a woman would have to go through. I know it's an oxymoron that men are babies when it comes to pain. But it's true and I don't plan on feeling what that pain would do to certain parts of my anatomy.

"Ollie," Percy said, exchanging glances with the Healer, "we're working on figuring it out."

"Mr. Weasley," Percy's secretary said, knocking at the door and peaking her head in, "your wife Audrey is flooing to talk to you."

That felt like a slap in the face. I loved Percy very much and I knew that he loved me too. He loved our little family. But he wasn't ready to give up Audrey and their little family either. It started to seem that whenever Percy and I were with the Healer she usually came looking for him.

"Could you tell Audrey that I'm in a meeting, Jocelyn," Percy told the secretary, causing tears to spring into my eyes.

I knew he wouldn't be telling Audrey he was with his lover. Or for any matter that his lover was male. He certainly wouldn't have told her that his male lover was pregnant with his child either. But did he have to say that he was in a meeting? It made it seem so formal. Much more formal than trying to figure out how I had become pregnant in the first place.

Jocelyn left and we could hear her speaking to someone but they didn't sound like they were in the fireplace. No the person sounded like they were standing in the hallway. As though they'd followed Jocelyn to the office room where Percy had scheduled our meeting with the Healer so as not to draw attention.

The door slammed open and the shocked face of Audrey Weasley came into view as she stormed into the room. She seemed more surprised to see me than I was to see her to be honest. I could tell from the look in her eyes that she wasn't shocked at my condition.

"Audrey, it's not what—"

She turned her storm cloud grey eyes on the Healer who shrank back at the look on her face. "Oliver is pregnant, isn't he?" she asked, sounding angrier than I'd ever heard anyone sound in my life. Even angrier than my father had sounded when I'd come out of the closet to him after I'd graduated Hogwarts.

"That does seem to be the long and short of things," the Healer answered. "We don't understand how that could have happened though."

A sinister smile twisted Audrey's usually pretty face. She knew perfectly well what was going on here it seemed and it was making her happier than it should.

"I understand how that could have happened," she answered, smiling smugly at Percy and then at me. "I knew you were cheating on me, Percy. I knew it. That cupcake I baked four months ago had a certain potion of my own concocting. I knew you would end up giving it to your lover, who I assumed was another woman, and they'd end up eating it."

"What did you do?" I asked, looking at Audrey surprised that she would care. It wasn't as though she didn't have her own lover. Everyone knew that she was seeing Penelope Clearwater on the side.

"Did you think I was going to sit idly by and let Percy make a fool out of me with you?" Audrey asked, putting her innocent facade back in place. "The potion I concocted would impregnate the eater of the treat in which it was baked." She laughed looking me up and down. "I guess it worked perfectly well if the results are to be believed."

"Life finds a way," the Healer said, sounding like he could appreciate what Audrey had done to me. "But now we must find a way to keep Oliver alive."

I hope you all enjoyed Life Finds a Way (And Love Saves the Day). I'm planning on making this a multichapter story and hope to have chapter two up soonish.
