One Month After Leaving with Jiraiya

Naruto woke in an familiar place the moment he closed his eyes to go to rest, surrounded by water and malice. And yet, when he looked around, he was greeted by a stunning red haired woman, dressed in Ninja clothes, armed with a sword. She drew him in, startling him with her fierceness, her beauty and the raw force of her gaze. A goddess of war made manifest.

"Naruto... I am your mother, Kushina." She said, her tone stoic and cold. "And we have so much to discuss."

Naruto went to hug her, eager to finally feel a mother's love... but she stopped him with an open hand. "Mom?"

"Naruto, we have little time. I can only manifest myself for a few moments should you not agree to my deal." He frowned. "You are no where you need to be in order to be a ninja..." She sighed. "Naruto, what is Chakra?"

"Oh, I know this, Iruka once told us about... Catra?"

She sighed. "Chakra, Naruto... you've failed the genin exam over and over again for so many reasons, partially due to neglect, but mostly due to your own laziness. It is going to get you killed, your ignorance." She growled. "It is time you become the predator in your own life, not the prey. All your life, you were the world's bitch. Everyone walked all over you, still do. None more so than the Third Hokage!"

"But he-"

"Failed to take care of you, assign you a caretaker, or do anything for you! He is a weak, doddering fool that deserved no more mercy than a swift death! But enough... we have to work on things. I need your help, in order to stay and help you, to make you the greatest Ninja, one that can survive and carry on your own peace. I need you to undo this seal."

She gestured behind her, making Naruto flinch as he saw... "The Kyuubi?" He was sealed behind a giant cage but the Fox did not look at him with hate as per usual... but confusion.

She sighed. "Sealed in the Leaf for a century. We Uzumaki have been it's vessel for that length of time... and in that time all but you have abused him. I realized, through watching your life, that he deserves and deserved better. I aim to make amends to him and you."

The Fox looked stunned. "Kushina?"

"Yes, I am sorry, Kyuubi... I did many evil things, you deserved better. I WILL make amends, but first we must prepare my son. We both for what."

The Fox nodded. "I can sense your honesty... very well. I will put my hatred the back burner... so to speak."

"I appreciate that. Naruto, tear off the seal, or well, half of it. I will keep him contained so the rush of chakra is not fatal to you. Then I will use his chakra to revive myself enough to mentor you. But Naruto, you must be silent on this. If anyone knows of this, they will try to extract me or kill you. The Leaf hurt me as a child, they will do it to you."

Naruto shivered at her tone, he couldn't argue when faced with his mother and her scary eyes. "Yes, mom..."

And as he tore of the seal binding the Fox, a rush of orange chakra rushed through the water, only his mother seemed to absorb it like a sponge. She ran through handsigns before slamming her hand on the ground. "Soul Retrieval Jutsu!" And Naruto watched as a purple energy erupted from nowhere, sinking into his mother, before settling her presence. She seemed stronger, more real then...And then she hugged him, tears falling down her face. "Now that I am not at risk of being disperse or expelled... I love you, Naruto and I will never leave you."

They held each other for hours before she let go. "Mom, how are you even inside of me?"

"Well, Naruto... that is a long story but one you need to know. Sit down, we have time...and then we will start you training."

And so Kushina wove the tale of the Fox, His birth and the monster that tore the Fox from her body...

And Naruto knew hate greater than before... "I will kill him, Mom! For you and Kyuubi..."

"And you too, Naruto. None deserve their peace more than you..."

"Yes... for me too."
