Chapter 1

Located between the Hoenn and Alola Regions lies the mysterious Sevestar Region. Though newly discovered, the region remains largely unknown to the general public. Only a select few are aware of its existence. What sets Sevestar apart is the unique mix of Pokémon from all over the world—Alolan, Galarian, Paldean, and even Legendary Pokémon are said to inhabit this land.

Recently, the Sevestar Region has opened its doors to the other nine regions for a special occasion—the long-awaited reveal of its Prince and Princess. These two figures, who are also the Champion and an Elite Four member, have kept their identities secret until now. The world is now rushing to the region, eager to witness their emergence.

A sleek ship, adorned with the emblem of Aether Paradise, cuts through the waves toward Sevestar. Onboard are Misty, Brock, May, Dawn, Cilan, Serena, Lillie, Goh, and Chloe. Each of them holds an invitation in hand, inviting them to attend the wedding of the Prince and Princess. The air inside the cabin is thick with confusion.

"We don't even know them personally," Dawn murmurs, frowning as she reads the letter again.

"Exactly," Brock agrees, leaning back against his chair. "Why would they invite us?"

May glances around the group. "Maybe they know someone we know? This whole thing seems too... mysterious."

Misty crosses her arms. "Or maybe it's a trap. We don't know who the Champion or the Elite Four are, and yet they're inviting us to their wedding?"

"Still," Serena says softly, gazing out the window as the island of Sevestar comes into view. "I think we all know why we're really here."

There's a pause, and everyone shares a glance. Unspoken but understood, they are all hoping to find a certain raven-haired boy—someone they haven't seen in five long years.

Back then, they (excluding Lillie), along with Tracy, Clemont, Bonnie, Iris, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles, had traveled to Pallet Town. An incident had occurred—one that changed everything. The boy had lost his mother, and his mentor had fallen into a coma. Though the true culprits, Team Rocket, had escaped, the boy was unjustly blamed for the catastrophe. Labeled a criminal by his friends and community, he disappeared without a trace, leaving behind a storm of regret and guilt.

The moment his mentor awoke and learned the truth, he was furious. The boy—his savior—had been wrongly accused and ostracized. But by then, it was too late. The boy was gone, and despite their efforts, they never found him.

As the group steps off the ship and onto the port, they are immediately met with the hustle and bustle of Sevestar's Otem Town. The streets are lively, filled with the hum of people, colorful market stalls, and a gentle breeze from the nearby ocean.

Dawn looks around with wide eyes. "This place sure looks lively."

"I agree," Cilan adds, his voice filled with awe. "It truly is a spectacular place. The atmosphere feels... different."

Misty turns to Brock, who's studying a guidebook intently. "So where are we, Brock?"

Without looking up, Brock replies, "According to this guide, we've landed in Otem Town. It's not a big place, but it's important. The Prince and Princess's castle is here, as well as the Professor's Lab."

"This place has royalty?" Goh asks, his brow furrowing in surprise.

May grins, nudging Goh lightly. "It could be! Maybe the prince is really handsome."

Brock sighs dreamily. "And the princess... she might be the most beautiful woman in the world."

The rest of the group collectively sighs at Brock's usual antics, while Serena shakes her head with an amused smile.

Chloe clears her throat, trying to get them back on track. "We should probably head to the lab first, right? We'll get answers there."

The group nods in agreement and begins walking toward the lab, leaving the lively port behind as they set off into the heart of Otem Town, each of them quietly hoping this journey will bring them closer to the answers they seek.

As they approach the lab, Lillie steps forward and knocks on the door. "Excuse me? Is Professor Eve home?" she calls out, but there's no response.

Misty tests the handle and, to their surprise, the door swings open. "It's unlocked," she says cautiously.

They exchange glances before entering, only to find the lab completely empty. The beeping of machinery and faint hum of electronics are the only sounds in the otherwise silent room.

"Looks like the Professor isn't here," Goh says, glancing around.

Before anyone can respond, a voice cuts through the quiet. "No! Crabominable! Please be fine!"

Startled, they all turn toward the sound coming from the backyard. Without hesitation, they rush outside, where they find two figures. One of them, a young trainer, is in the process of recalling his fainted Crabominable.

"I lost so easily... How could this be?" the trainer laments, frustration clear in his voice.

The victor, a black-haired girl wearing a lab coat, offers a reassuring smile. "Just because I'm a Professor doesn't mean I haven't focused on my Pokémon battling. I'm also an Elite Four member." She adjusts her glasses slightly before adding, "But I admit, you gave me a tough battle with those Fighting-types. I hope we can battle again someday."

The defeated trainer nods, his expression still a bit downcast, before hurrying off with his fainted Pokémon.

With a soft sigh, the Professor turns and recalls her Grimmsnarl into its Pokéball. "Thank you for your help, Grimmsnarl."

Lillie takes the moment to step forward, calling out, "Professor Eve! I brought the guests here."

The woman turns, her face lighting up as she recognizes Lillie. "Lillie! It's been a while, hasn't it?" She approaches the group, her expression warm and welcoming. "And who might your friends be?"

Lillie gestures to the others. "These are the guests you invited."

The Professor nods, smiling at them all. "Welcome. My name is Eve Urup, and I'm the Professor of the Sevestar Region."

Lillie steps forward with a smile. "Professor Eve is also the second-eldest sister of the Princess who's about to marry the Champion. It's huge news."

"Wait," Dawn says, eyes widening. "Your sister? Your sister is the strongest Elite Four member in the region?"

"Of course," Eve replies with a proud grin. "She's our perfect Ice-Type Master. She's made our family proud."

Brock, still processing the information, asks, "So, who's the Champion? And why exactly were we invited to his wedding?"

Eve turns toward Lillie, an eyebrow raised. "You didn't tell them about him?"

Lillie frowns slightly, hesitating. "Well… my brother told me not to tell anyone until we got here." She turns to the others, her expression more serious. "The Champion is a successful businessman. He runs a company called RPA. Ever since my parents… well, ever since they passed away, RPA has helped Gladion and me continue our work. He also adopted us into the family."

Everyone looks at Lillie in shock. They had heard the tragic story about the Aether Family, the devastating attack that left her parents dead in the flames set by Team Rainbow Rocket. The mysterious hero who had saved Lillie and Gladion had become a symbol of hope. Goh, his voice filled with curiosity, breaks the silence. "So… who is he?"

Lillie takes a deep breath before answering. "His name has been on a lot of posters lately: Ash Ketchum."

The moment the name leaves her lips, everyone freezes. The shock is palpable.

"Ash?" Serena whispers, her voice barely audible.

"Yeah, Ash Ketchum," Eve continues. "The World Champion who's been missing for five years—the famous boy with a Pikachu."

The group's reaction is one of mixed emotions, but none more than Serena, whose frown deepens as memories flood back. "Who is your sister, and how did they meet?" she asks quietly.

Eve sighs softly, realizing this conversation was bound to happen. "Well, it's supposed to be private, but since Lillie told you, I'll explain. We all grew up in Pallet Town. Ash was our childhood friend. We played together for seven years until my parents decided to move our family to Kalos. We didn't meet again until after the... incident, and when we did, Ash saved my sister from a blizzard that separated her from us. Since then, they've been inseparable. They really make a great pair, don't you think?"

The others nod, though the weight of the revelation keeps their expressions serious. Misty is the first to break the silence. "I see. Thank you for telling us. We'll be taking our leave now."

"Wait a second." Lillie quickly steps forward. "Eve has prepared rooms for all of you. Please, follow me, and I'll show you where you'll be staying."

"We don't want to be a burden," Cilan says, hesitant.

"It would be more of a burden if you wandered off without a guide," Lillie insists. "Ash appointed me to make sure you're taken care of. Besides, this island can be tricky to navigate. Eve, could you also show them the lab afterward?"

"Of course," Eve replies with a kind smile. "I'd be happy to."

As they explore the lab, Eve leads the group to a large display screen showing a map of the Sevestar Region. "My main area of research here is Legendary and Mythical Pokémon," she explains, her voice carrying a tone of enthusiasm. "In Sevestar, these Pokémon appear as regular encounters in the wild. It's not uncommon to stumble upon a Legendary or Mythical Pokémon while traveling through different environments."

The group looks surprised, and Serena speaks up. "So, it's easy to find them?"

Eve nods. "Yes, but even though they're easy to encounter, they aren't easy to catch. Their catch rate is extremely low, and many of them are quite weak, especially if they're younger. For example, a Level 5 Meloetta could still lose to a Level 5 Rattata that knows Dark-type moves."

The idea of encountering Legendary Pokémon like this leaves everyone intrigued.

Shifting focus, Eve reaches for a Pokéball and releases an energetic Eevee onto the table. "Now, let's talk about something just as exciting—our starter Pokémon here in Sevestar."

"Eevee?" Brock asks, looking puzzled.

Eve smiles. "Yes. In Sevestar, Eevee is given to new trainers as their starter. What makes it special is its ability to evolve into 18 different forms. Each Eeveelution requires specific conditions to evolve, much like in other regions, but here, Eevee holds a unique connection to these transformations."

May kneels down to get a closer look at the Eevee. "Eighteen evolutions? That's incredible!"

"It's one of the reasons why Eevee is the chosen starter for Sevestar," Eve adds. "Its versatility reflects the diverse environments and opportunities for growth here."

The group is fascinated, their curiosity piqued by both the mysterious Legendary encounters and the unique evolutionary possibilities of Eevee in the region.

As the group finishes their tour of the lab, Eve leads them toward the exit. The sun hangs low in the sky, casting a golden glow across the town. Stepping outside, their attention is immediately drawn to the grand castle in the distance.

"That's the castle Ash and Alice own," Lillie says, her voice filled with pride. "It's been their home ever since they became the leaders of Sevestar."

The group gazes in awe at the towering structure. The castle, with its tall spires and sturdy walls, gleams in the setting sun, blending beautifully with the landscape.

"It's incredible," Serena murmurs, her eyes scanning the intricate details of the castle.

Lillie smiles, continuing, "The castle isn't just their home; it's a symbol of everything they've built here. They've worked hard to bring stability and unity to Sevestar. The people look up to them, and this castle is a testament to their leadership."

Brock squints at the distant towers. "So, the wedding will be held here?"

Lillie nods. "Yes, but it's still a month away. There's a lot of preparation going on behind the scenes, and people from all over the world will be coming to witness it."

Misty crosses her arms thoughtfully. "Ash really has built something incredible here."

"Hard to believe it's been five years since we last saw him," Goh adds, his tone reflective.

The group stands in quiet contemplation, looking toward the castle, knowing that in the next month, they'll not only witness an important event but possibly reunite with the friend they thought they had lost. The air around them feels charged with anticipation for what's to come.
