My Sunshine
"No! You can't sit there, Issei! Move somewhere else!" a young girl shouted, as she rushed towards the opposite side of the table. She was small, with orangish-blonde hair tied in a ponytail and golden eyes. And she wore a small Miko outfit with the usual red and white colors. In addition, she had the unique attributes of a small set of golden fox ears atop her head, with nine unusual fox tails flowing from her back like a fire.
Issei, a rather normal and boring-looking individual with brown hair and brown eyes only stood to look confused. "What? Oh come on, Kunou, nobody was sitting here before, so I don't see why I can't," he argued. He wanted to sit at the very end of the table, on the complete opposite side of where Kunou was sitting. It was the best view, and there he could see everyone, namely their boobs, and stare at them all while everyone else was looking the other way.
But his argument did nothing to dissuade the young girl, as she only continued to glare at the brown-haired boy with all her might, which was very uncharacteristic of her to say the least.
"Oh come on Issei, she is the birthday girl after all, hy don't you just listen to her?" Rias Gremory, a red-haired girl with a generous bust and green eyes told him.
Issei sighed, realizing that his girlfriend's words were true. "Alright, Buchou, I guess you're right," he conceited, moving to the side and moving one chair over as it wasn't the other end of the long table Kunou had been saving. "There Kunou, is that better?" He asked, not wanting to bother the birthday girl any longer. The seat was still good, and he got a pretty good look at half of the table, which was more than enough. Plus, at the angle he was situated, he would get a pretty good view of Kunou's mother's boobs as well.
Kunou smiled at his question, satisfied that her seat was once again still saved.
Speaking of Kunou's mother… Off to the side stood a tall woman, Yasaka, with long golden blonde hair, reaching nearly down to the ground as it spiraled near the end, and eyes of a similar color. She had delicate features, and eyebrows cut thin, short, and round as a symbol of nobility. She wore the attire of a typical shrine maiden, it was low cut— enough to the point where it showed off her very generous cleavage that would even give each of the girls in the room looks of envy— and it was gold in color. She was a Kyuubi-no-Kitsune as well, with the same number of golden tails across her back and ears atop her head as her daughter.
"She's still saving a seat for him?" a youkai, one of her servants, commented at her side.
"It's cute, but she does it every year, it's sad to see her disappointed each time he doesn't come back," another said.
"Who knows where he's run off to, probably with someone else, a handsome man like him—"
"Shhh, Yasaka-sama might hear you."
All the while, Yasaka stood still, lost in thought as she stared at the empty seat across the table. Kunou was a good girl with an innocent heart, and she had done this every year since she had found a picture of him.
All around were balloons and streamers along the dining hall, as well as a set of gifts along a stray table. There are also many guests in the dining hall of the Kyoto palace, such as a good number of yokai from the city, the devils from the Gremory household, and even a few kids her age. Many of the seats within the room were packed as they sat along the table, yet there remained one single seat, on the opposite end of the long table that Kunou sat along, one that was within her full view, that remained empty.
Yasaka finally snapped out of her train of thought, as she once again went to help with the party, this was for her daughter's tenth birthday after all. "All right, who's ready for cake?" she asked aloud, as many of the visitors got ready for their celebration with cheers of rejoice.
It wasn't long before the first cake— one of many, considering there were that many people— was brought out, as a set of ten candles. They all began to sing 'happy birthday' to the young girl.
Once everyone was finished singing, her mother instructed, "Alright Kunou, it's time to make a wish."
As the young girl nodded, "Alright, Mother." Kunou pondered what exactly she was going to wish for before her eyes landed on a single space off on the other side of the room, the lone chair that nobody was sitting on. Satisfied with herself, she realized what she wanted. She closed her eyes as if a wish had been made.
"Now Kunou, what did you wish for?" Issei asked the young girl, as she was about to say.
"Oh come now Issei, you and I both know if you tell everyone what you wished for it won't come true," a dark-haired girl with purple eyes interjected, which caused Kunou's eyes to widen.
As Rias lifted her arms under her bust, "Please, Akeno, you both know that's just a superstition," the red-haired heir reprimanded her [Queen] for her teasing. "Kunou, you don't have to tell everyone if you don't want to," she told her.
The young girl calmed down before she finally decided to tell everyone what she wished for, "Well I—"
Knock. Knock. Knock.
The sound of wood rumbling broke through the room, as all of them turned to see where exactly it had come from.
Yasaka raised an eyebrow, "Oh, I wonder who exactly that is?" She had thought she had told the guards not to bother them unless it was an emergency. Was there some sort of late arrival to the party? She had thought everyone had arrived already.
Getting ready to go get the door and greet them, she was stopped by the red-haired ruin princess. "I'll go get it, Yasaka-san," Rias volunteered, she could see that the fox-woman already had her hands full with helping the guests as she passed out their cake, and if it meant helping the woman she wouldn't mind.
"Why, thank you, Rias," the woman told the devil, as she then continued to help pass out the cakes, everyone had already formed a line.
As the red-haired girl walked over, Kunou's eyes widened. She silently followed her upperclassman, as nobody noticed her retreat.
Rias neared the door and opened it, but the sight she was someone she didn't expect. It wasn't a yokai or even a palace guard. No, from this man's appearance, he seemed… human.
He was a blonde-haired male around his late twenties, with blue eyes, tanned skin, and a set of three-whisker-like marks across his cheeks— which honestly made her think he was some sort of yokai, at first. But she quickly threw that notion off— his clothing was strange, being that of a pair of black pants and sandals, with a long-sleeved black shirt rolled up around his arms and an orange hoari with a silver cord and black flames liking the bottom. He was handsome, but he had this look in his eyes and an appearance of a seasoned veteran, much like the posture she had seen of her brother at times.
He looked towards her, surprised, although she didn't know why. But he quickly fixed his expression, as he looked at her, plastering a rather nervous smile upon his face. "Uhh… Hi?" he greeted her, looking unsure of what to say. "I hope I'm not late, am I? It's been… a while, is Yasaka home?" he asked her.
Rias blinked, as she then realized she had been staring. Processing the information, she then realized what she was asked. She shook her head, "No, the party is still going on, although you missed them cutting the cake."
"I see," the blonde said, frowning. "Well, then can I come in?" He asked.
As Rias stepped back, "Of course, although I have to ask, how do you know Yasaka-San?" She inquired, as she moved to let him in.
This caused the man to have a small smile, "Oh, well, I guess you can say… we've known each other for a long time." Before he then realized that he had neglected to give her his name. "Naruto Uzumaki," he introduced himself, as he went to shake her hand, stepping inside.
"Rias Gremory," she introduced back, taking note of the man. "Refreshments are over there, and I'm sure there's still enough cake left for you. If you have any gifts you can set them right over—"
Crash.
The sound of porcelain crashing onto the floor reached everyone's ears, and each of them turned to see Yasaka staring, wide-eyed in their direction.
Kunou was much the same, as she looked on at the blonde male before tears started gently cascading down her face. "You're…" she realized before a blonde and orange blur collided with Naruto's legs. "It's you! You're finally here!" She shouted.
As Naruto stood still, stunned the young girl cried into his legs.
"Kunou, who is this person?" Rias questioned, not expecting such a response from this kind of girl.
"Kunou?" Naruto realized, wide-eyed as well before he looked down. "That's a wonderful name, your mother must have picked that out for you," he said, patting her head.
"I can't believe it's really you! I waited so… so long for you to come," Kunou cried into his legs.
Naruto grew a small smile at the young girl's words, " I know, I just wish… I could have been here a bit sooner," he admitted.
As she cried into him harder, all the while, other onlookers were looking at the scene with mixed feelings. Some knew the man and were grateful for his return, as well as feeling joy at such a heartfelt scene. But some were left confused, not knowing who this person was and having not seen this side of their kitsune princess to understand.
Before Kunou looked up at him, tears still falling down her cheeks, she quickly wiped them away, as a large smile was plastered across her face.
"Come on, I have to show you to everyone!" She shouted, dragging him off to meet everyone. All the while, Yasaka stood still, crouching on the floor as she leaned over to pick up the shards of porcelain and glass from the plate she had dropped just minutes prior. Her hands shaking and her head held low, not that anyone noticed but him.
"You know, it's dangerous to pick glass up with your bare hands," a voice said, as Yasaka looked up to see Naruto crouching down. "You could cut yourself, here let me help you," he offered before he used his fingertips to collect the stray shards.
"Well, thank you, Naruto-san…" Yasaka said, standing up and with an indifferent tone.
"Ouch, that is cold," Naruto said, mockingly covering his heart as if he had been struck by an arrow.
All the while Kunou looked on to see their interaction.
"I don't get it, who is this bastard?" Issei asked aloud, not understanding what was going on. But he realized that whoever it was, he was making an S-tier Milf like Yasaka sad when she saw him.
"I don't know, but he is handsome," Akeno giggled, more to herself than anything. Issei was too surprised to say anything further.
"It may be, but you have to understand, it has been a while, dear… husband," Yasaka stated, as the bomb had been dropped.
Yasaka's husband, Kunou's father, has returned.
"Indeed it has, too long," Naruto said, with a soft smile.
As there were those touched by the whole ordeal, or surprised to hear this new revelation. All were silent, except, of course, one single Red Dragon emperor, who had thought he had a chance with the leader of Kyoto.
"WHAT?!"
XXX
Sadly, he didn't get another chance to talk to Yasaka after that
After they spoke briefly, Kunou dragged him around the entire party, showing him to each and every person. She didn't even get time to open her gifts or eat cake she was so excited.
After that she dragged Naruto around Kyoto, showing him her favorite spots and places for him to see. Many of the guests at the party were allowed to stay within Yasaka's residence, especially those who had traveled so far just to be there.
Naruto was glad he could bring such a smile to her face, and that she was glad to see him for the first time.
"And this is where I rode my first bike, and there is where I bruised my leg, that's where I saw a real dragon mom had a meeting with!" She rambled excitedly, naming all sorts of places and memes she had to make up for lost time.
And Naruto took each one of these locations in, even if she started speaking on strange nothings he would still listen.
"Okay papa, I'm about to show you the best place in the entirety of Kyoto!" She told him, still dragging him off across the streets. Even as the people saw and looked at him, recognizing his presence from a time long ago.
"Oh, and where's that?" He questioned, as she walked, bouncing along her feet.
"It's a secret!" Kunou smiled, still dragging him along where she was going. "Now come on!"
"Okay, Okay, I'm coming." Honestly, he questioned where she got all her energy from… before he instantly realized it was him, as she acted just like he did in his youth.
Before he knew it he was at their destination, what looked to be a small stand at the edge of a street corner. She dragged him in, being so short that she didn't need to the flaps open, as he did so. "You'll never guess where I'm taking you!" Kunou said excitedly.
"Ah, Naruto, it's good to see you here again," the old store owner and chef stated, knocking away all of Kunou's delusions in an instant.
"Hey Daichi," Naruto greeted back, this was a ramen shop, one he was all too familiar with back in his day, he knew the owner, and was a little surprised that he still worked there.
"What?! You already knew where we were going!" Kunou said, shocked. Before she looked down, disappointed. "But I wanted to surprise you with my favorite food…" she said, dejected. She had hoped to show her father her favorite place, but to find out he had already been here…
As she felt a large hand being placed on the top of her head, looking up, only to see her father smiling down at her. "Hey, don't worry about it, I appreciate the thought. After all… this is my favorite food too. Now, let's go eat this place out," he told her, as almost instantly the girl's expression lit up, and he could see stars form in her eyes.
"Let's go!" she shouted, as she dragged him to one of the seats.
All the while the old store owner chuckled, not only at the scene but because of how much money he would make with not one but two ramen vacuums in the city.
Yeah… business was good.

Hours later.
"Okay, Kunou, it's getting late you should get some rest," Naruto instructed from her bedside, they had walked around the entire city. As Kunou had dragged him each and every place she had ever been to. Of course, he neglected to inform the girl that he had seen it all before. He was a shinobi after all, and ten years ago when he first came here he had scouted around the place to get to know the lay of the land.
He valued the fact that she wanted to spend time with him, and he wouldn't trade it for the world. He had been so worried that she wouldn't accept him, but he quickly found out that wasn't the case. She was kind-hearted, and a loving and caring person.
He didn't deserve to have such a person like her as his daughter.
"What? No! I'm not tired!" She whined.
Naruto smiled, "Now, now, Kunou, if you don't go to sleep now you'll be exhausted tomorrow." He instructed.
But the young fox-girl only shook her head, "uh, uh, no I won't," she argued with a pout.
"Okay…" Naruto sighed before he was reminded of something. "How about this? if you go to sleep now… I'll give you your birthday gift." He told her, as her eyes went wide.
"Really? A gift?!" She questioned, her tails waving in anticipation.
"Yeah, it's been something I've been wanting to give you for a long time," he told her, as she looked at him expectantly.
"Alright, what is it?" She was too excited to sleep now.
Naruto laughed at her demeanor "Well, it's this…" he stated, as he then reached up to his neck, moving his shirt collar as he revealed a small necklace: one with a large green gemstone and a black leather cord. As he took it off, he showed it to her.
"A necklace?" Kunou inquired.
Naruto nodded his head, "Yeah, this necklace is very special to me, and it's also extremely valuable. It's said that this necklace alone is worth more than three mountains worth of gold," he said as he placed it within her palms.
"You're… giving this to me?" His daughter questioned with wide eyes.
"Of course, I'm giving this to you. After all, even if it's precious to me, well, so are you." He had a lot of birthday gifts to make up for. He only wished that would help to at least somewhat repay what he owed her.
This caused Kunou to grow a large smile, as a few tears started to form across her eyes, she quickly wiped them away. "Thanks, papa! I'll never take it off," she promised, and she would never go back on her word, as she placed it around her neck.
"I know you won't," Naruto smiled as he ruffled his daughter's hair, she smiled even more.
They stayed like that for some time, content to finally be in each other's presence. Before Naruto's daughter spoke up.
"Hey, papa?" She asked.
"What? What is it, Kunou-Chan?" He wanted to know what his daughter was going to ask of him.
"Can you…. Can you, tell me a story?" She inquired, her nine fox tails waving around in nervousness.
Naruto smiled, "of course," he said, he he thought about what exactly he would tell her, rubbing his fingers against his chin. It was only then that he found his answer.
His smile grew even fonder, "Kunou, I'm about to tell you a story that's very dear to me," he told her, as she was soon enraptured by her father's voice.
"It's the story of the line fox-boy, and the village that hated him…" he began.
All the while, another fox-woman had been leaning against the wall outside of the room. Unknowingly a small fond smile wrapped around her lips.
XXX
"Wow, she's really tuckered out, isn't she?" Naruto commented, as right after his story started he could see Kunou's eyes flicker open and shut. He could see that she had been trying hard to stay awake the whole time to hear his story, and he could only imagine how disappointed she might be when she realized that she had managed to fall asleep right before the ending. He'd have to tell it to her again.
…next time
"Yeah, she was excited to see you, I think she had a great birthday," Yasaka said from the doorway, looking on at the scene as her husband leaned down at her daughter's bedside. Before he got up and turned to her.
"Yeah," he mused, a small smile forming across his lips. "She's a good girl, and she reminds me so much of you," Naruto told her, he stated, for the first time he saw Yasaka's smile as well.
Naruto loved the look of her smile.
"Wow, you're still so beautiful…" He told her, as the fox-woman realized she was smiling. But then it was gone, her smile vanished from the wake of lost memories. He saw it in an instant, which only caused him to frown.
"Well then," The leader of Kyoto stated, straightening her kimono, although there weren't any wrinkles on the fabric, she did anything to not look Naruto in the eyes any longer. "It's getting late, and I'm sure you have alot going on in your life as well. I think it's time we sent ourselves off, you remember where your old room was, right?" she said, as she made to turn away.
"Yasaka," Naruto said, as he reached to grasp her hand. "I can tell you've been cold to me all day, why?" He asked her, as her silence was obvious.
"Why?" Yasaka said aloud, her fist at her side, as her hair shadowed her eyes. "You know why?" She raised her voice, as her golden eyes finally snapped towards her husband's direction. "I waited… so long for you… and only now you've arrived. How long has it been? Ten years! You missed your daughter's birth, Naruto!" She shouted as Naruto remained silent, he knew there was nothing he could say.
"I thought… I thought you died," she admitted, "I thought those Akatsuki got to you. Or worse… that you abandoned us," Yasaka told him, as both her tails and extra set of ears were furrowed down.
As she felt a pit of strong arms wrap around her frame, "Yasaka-hime…" Naruto whispered into her ear. "I could never abandon you two," he assured, laying a soft kiss atop her head.
That did it.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
All the emotions Yasaka had been hiding, all the bottled-up feelings she had been storing over the years. The glass had finally keeled over, dripping onto the ground for all the see.
"Oh Naruto…" He felt tears begin to fall onto her shoulder as she leaned into him. He was uncaring, even as her eyes soaked his clothing just being near her was all they could think about. How long ago had he envisioned their meeting like this? Everyday. Not a moment had gone by since he hadn't missed them and wanted to be with them.
Yasaka finally let go of her sobs for a moment as she leaned up to meet his eyes. "Naruto… I… I missed you so much…" she told him, her eyes reddened and cheeks flushed with exhaustion. Yet even still she was the most beautiful woman in the world to him.
This scene was almost eerily similar to the one he'd had with his daughter just moments before in the day.
"I missed you two," he said as he tightened their embrace. "A lot has happened in the last few years since I saw you: ever since the Akatsuki began their attacks. The leaf village was destroyed and a war happened, and I'm… I'm so glad to be home," Naruto admitted.
"Home?" Yasaka's ears perked up, as Naruto smiled.
"Yes… home. I don't plan on going anywhere anymore."
It was then that Yasaka once again thrust her body into Naruto, so much so that he nearly lost his balance. And he would have, had he not not used his chakra to stick himself to the floorboards.
"I thought you would've never said those words, after all…" she whispered, a moment of doubt having entered their mind.
"I know Yasaka, I know…" He knew what she was referring to, and it was the nature of their marriage that had her so worried all this time.
He had met her on his three-year training trip with his sensei, Jiraiya the toad sage. And it was those same toads that had allowed him access to this world. Using a portal they had designed to transport them t to this dimension, the perverted Senin had taken them to Kyoto in hopes of training him in the fundamentals of Senjutsu and the Kyuubi's chakra. Luckily, the man had been there before and had helped the Yokai there with a few missions to gain food favor. He had even become good friends with their leader, Yasaka-hime, although he constantly flirted with her as he did Tsunade.
At first, their relationship had been somewhat like mentor and student, with the far few moments he had been given with her, after all she had to run her entire faction as well. But he enjoyed her company and the fact she treated him like a mature adult into a knucklehead or an out-of-depth child was something different he was not used to. He would even have called them friends.
That was until his last birthday in Kyoto when Jiraiya had ever so carefully spiked his drink— and he meant really spiked it. Since each time he had tried previously the Kyuubi's chakra would just dispel any alcohol within his system before he could get drunk. Unfortunately, he found out the hard way that the Bijuu's yokai apparently had a limit. A limit that would likely cause even the great Tsunade Senju to keel over from the alcohol potency in his liver and blood.
Jiraiya had attempted to get him to lose his virginity to a young girl in the bar that night. A sort of 'rite of passage to becoming a man' he had told him, it was also supposed to get him to not fall for any seductions in the future. However, the man's attempt had only been half successful.
Apparently, he had been in the right mind enough to wander back into their temporary home, Yasaka having generously allowed them to stay with her during their training. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately as things went, in his delirious state,!he had wandered right into the woman's bedroom during her heat.
Both drunk off their own inhibitions, Naruto had woken up in Yasaka's bed as she was curled up next to him.
Kunou had also been conceived that night.
Apparently, at least according to Tsunade—which he found out only later— his sperm was actually very potent because of his Uzumaki and Jinchuuriki status. At least she theorized that to be the case, Jiraiya had actually been skeptical, but his doubts had been proven wrong.
Of course, Yasaka's council had been furious. After all, their leader, a prestigious and respected nine-tailed fox had laid with another, a human, one she was not married to no less. They demanded something to happen. But, luckily, Jiraiya had been able to smooth things over in the aftermath. He had saved quite alot of yokai from slave and devil rings on his travels, which earned him a lot of respect in their culture.
So they demanded he and Yasaka get married, and so they did.
At first, their marriage had been amicable, he respected Yasaka and she hadn't been displeased with their situation. But eventually, they both got into the swing of things and actually ended up acting like a married couple. It had been… nice? Having someone wait for him after each day of hard training had been a different experience, but it hadn't been unwelcome.
Unfortunately, their peaceful days wouldn't last. As finally, Jiraiya had gotten word that the infamous Akatsuki organization had decided to move along with their plans.
Going on to target the Kazekage, Gaara, from within his very own home. They both had known that they wouldn't stop there, and soon, they would target Konoha as well.
Naruto knew that he allowed his home to be attacked because of him… he wouldn't be able to live with himself for the rest of his life. Plus, there was no telling if they wouldn't be able to track him down in Kyoto as well.
So he left, but not before saying goodbye.
Having to fight in a war that lasted serval years, all the while Kunou had been born, and Yasaka had been left alone to raise her.
"Hey, Yasaka-hime?" He spoke up. The woman raised an eyebrow, wondering just what Naruto was going to say.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Naruto-Koi," she told him, as all of their worries over the past few years had melted away.
The war was over now, and Naruto had nowhere else to be but here. He didn't care that he was leaving his home, the few short years in Kyoto had been the best years of his life. He only hoped that the future would be even better, not just for him, but for his daughter, and his wife as well.
"Naruto?" Yasaka spoke up, as Naruto looked down at her.
"Oh, what is it, hime?" He asked.
As the woman began tracing circles around his neck and jawline. He then began to notice their current position, namely the fact that the woman was pushing her rather generous bust into his chest. And it felt like she was… wrapping her tails around him?
"What say you and I… give Kunou a sibling?" She purposed, as he also realized how close their faces were. She looked so beautiful, with her face slightly flushed from both passion and past worries. And the fact that he saw a lone stray tail peak out from around her, showed her slight nervousness on the topic.
He reacted almost immediately, taking her soft and luscious lips into his own. "I'd love to!" He smiled, as Yasaka went in for a second kiss.
"Well then, what are you waiting for?" She questioned.
Not needing another moment to decide, he quickly hoisted her up into a bridal carry, laying one of his hands on her rather generous and plump backside.
"Nothing, my love."
He dragged her back into Yasaka's bedroom, the same room where they both had experienced their first night of passion. And several other moans and cries of pleasure filled the evening.
To the point that it caused a rather irritated and envious Issei who had stayed within the palace for the night to glare at Naruto the entire following morning.
All the while, Kunou had a small smile on her sleeping face, content with how things were meant to be.
The End.
An: A nice little easter egg is that this is released on Kunou's canonical birthday, something I didn't plan initially but was too good to pass up.
This one was a short but sweet one, not one I'd usually do but I went and watched SpyXfamily with my brother (LMK if you guys want to see a Yor fic) and that got me into writing this.
Yasaka is an interesting character, although usually I prefer ageing up Kunou because I think that the Naruto/Yasaka relationship can get a little weird at times, but this is a one-shot so those ramifications don't really matter.
If you like this story be sure to hit the follow and leave me a nice review as it really motivates me to do more.
This is one of the few stories I have ready to pubish, but I have a few thousand words scattered about, next one I'm hoping of doing is one of my most popular fate fics, so be sure to be on the lookout.
I'm also contemplating starting to actually write a novel for real sometime.
Anyways, this was again suggested by B4TM4N-WH0-L4U6H5, but if any one else of you have any other suggestions for a one-shot or story please let me know.
See ya! Please leave me lots of NICE reviews.
Happy birthday Kunou!
