You and the brothers were in Hibbing, Minnesota investigating numerous disappearances that have happened the few months. Last week a man disappeared from the town's motel. You three were posed as state police investigating the man's disappearance. "I know you're just doing your job, but the police have been here all week already. I don't see why we have to go through this again. The more he tells the story, the more he believes it's true." The motel owner spoke. Supposedly her son saw something drag her the man off the night he disappeared.

"Mrs. Mckay. We know you spoke with the local authorities." Sam began as he and Dean took of their sheriff hats.

"But, uh, this seems like a matter for the state police. So..." Dean finished.

"Don't you worry about how crazy it sounds, Evan. Just tell us everything you saw that night." You spoke soothingly toward her son Evan.

"I was up late...watching TV...when I heard this weird noise." Evan sighed as he shared his story with you.

"What did it sound like?" You asked.

"It sounded like...a monster." Evan replied as Sam and Dean looked between each other.

"Tell the officers what you were watching on TV." Mrs. McKay asked Evan.

"Um...Godzilla vs. Mothra." Evan admitted as he looked towards the floor.

"Oh, yeah. That's my favorite Godzilla movie. So much better than the original, huh?" Dean chuckled as he smiled at Evan as Sam gave him a look.

"Totally." Evan finally smiled and looked up at Dean nodding his head.

"Yeah. He likes the remake." Dean shared nodding his head towards Sam.

"Yuck." Evan groaned with a hint of disgust on his face. You smiled happy to see Evan in a better mood.

"That's what I-" Dean started to agree as Sam cleared his throat as Dean looked over at him.

"Evan, did you see what this thing was?" Sam asked Evan.

"No. But I saw it grab Mr. Jenkins. It pulled him underneath the car." Evan explained.

"Then what?" You wondered.

"It took him away." Evan sighed as he looked out the window. "I heard the monster leaving. It made this really scary sound."

"What did it sound like, Evan?" Sam asked.

"Like this...whining growl." Evan answered.

"Thanks for your time." You thanks the two before you three the motel.

That night you three visited "Kugel's Keg," one of the local bars just outside of town. "So the local police have not ruled out foul play." Sam read off the newspaper and you and he sipped your beers. "Apparently, there were signs of a struggle."

"You know, they could be right. Could just a kidnapping. Maybe this isn't our kind of gig." Dean suggested as he was playing darts.

"I'm not sure, but John did mark this area in his journal." You pointed out as you were reading through John's journal. Lately you have been reading the journal to learn more about monsters and learn more about John before you would finally meet him. "Possible hunting grounds of a phantom attacker." Dean walked over to the table and Sam leaned over to look at the page you were on.

"Why would he even do that?" Dean wondered.

"Well, it says he found a lot of local folklore about a dark figure that comes out at night, grabs people, then vanishes. He found this too: This county has more missing persons per capita than anywhere else in the state." Sam explained as he read off the page.

"That is weird." Dean mumbled as he went back to playing darts.

"Yeah." Sam sighed as he agreed with Dean.

"Don't phantom attackers usually snatch people from their beds? Jenkins was taken from a parking lot." Dean brought up a good point as he looked back at you and Sam.

"Well, there are all kinds, you know, Springheeled Jacks, Phantom Gassers. They-They take people anywhere, any time. Look, guys, I don't know if this is our kind of gig either." Sam agreed.

"Yeah, you're right. We should ask around more tomorrow." Dean decided.

"Good idea." You nodded your as you sipped your beer some more. "I think there's a motel about five miles back."

"Whoa, whoa, easy. Let's have another round." Dean offered.

"I'm a little tired, I'd like to get a bit more sleep than usual." You denied as you let out a yawn.

"We should get an early start." Sam agreed with you and he got up from his chair.

"What are you two a couple of grandmas?" Dean retorted as he threw one last dart before putting them away. "All right, I'll meet you guys outside I gotta take a leak." Dean left to go to the restroom.

"I'll go pay our tab." Sam offered as he put everything in his bag.

"Great I'll head outside first then." You said as you walked to the exit and went outside. You saw a couple of bikers parking as you walked through the gravel parking lot to the Impala. Besides them it was just you outside, as you got to the car you heard some rustling nearby you pulled out a small flashlight from your jacket and shined it around you. You were a little nervous after reading John's journal. Then you peeked under the car to see a cat underneath it. The cat hissed causing you to get up quickly and chuckle at yourself getting scared for nothing. As you waited for Sam and Dean something came up behind you and hit you across the back of your head causing you to black out...

You gasped as you regained consciousness and felt something cold and hard beneath you. You panicked as you got up too quickly and slammed your head against the top of the cage you were in. "Dammit!" You groaned as you rubbed your head and looked around. You were in a small rusted cage made of either iron or metal. You rattled the bars a bit to see how strong they were, the bars were thick and durable so it would be hard for you to escape. You took a few deep breaths as you took in your surroundings and that's when you noticed a man unconscious in the cage next to you. You and the man were in what looked like at ram-shackled old barn that was reinforced with metal plating on some of the walls. You noticed that whoever took you removed your jacket and your cell phone while you were out. You knew you wouldn't be able to force your way out so to save energy you just spent your time examining the cage trying to find any weak points you could use to escape. The man next you finally started waking up as he groaned. "Oh good, you're awake." You said as you smiled at the man.

"Huh?" The man groaned.

"Are you okay?" You asked him.

"Does it look like I'm doing okay?" The man growled at you.

"Do you have any clues to where we are?" You wondered.

"I don't know. Country, I think. Smells like the country." The man replied as he rubbed his head.

"I'm guessing you're Alvin Jenkins, right?" You guessed.

"Yeah." Alvin confirmed.

"I was looking for you after you went missing." You explained.

"Oh, yeah?" Alvin wondered.

"Yup." You nodded toward him.

"Well, no offense, but this is a piss-poor rescue." Alvin spat as he looked around.

"Well, I've got some friends out there right now, too. They're looking for us. So-" You tried to explain.

"So, they're not gonna find us. We're in the middle of nowhere...waiting for them to come back and do God-knows-what to us." Alvin scoffed.

"What are they? Do you know what they look like?" You asked.

"What are you talking about?" Alvin wondered with a confused look on his face.

"The things that grabbed us, what do they look like?" You repeated.

"See for yourself." Alvin gestured to the door as it began to creak as it opened up. You peeked through the cage to see two hooded figures walking towards your cages. Alvin got closer to the front of his cage as they slammed an iron pipe against it, probably to scare him. Then they flipped a switch which opened Alvin's cage. "Leave me alone!" Alvin cried as he pushed himself against the back of his cage trying to stay away from the hooded figures. "Don't you touch me. You leave me alone!" The figures set some food on the floor of his cage closed it up again as Alvin began to stuff the food in his mouth. Then they came to your cage, you quickly moved to the back of the cage as they banged against the bars. Then you watched as they went back over to the panel and pulled a key out.

"Jackpot." You mumbled as you watched them leave. You figured that key must be how they lock and unlock the cages. "I can't believe it. They're just humans like us."

"Yeah. What did you expect?" Alvin asked as he stuff more food in his mouth.

"Do they feed you regularly?" You asked him.

"Once a day, they use that thing over there to open the cage." Alvin replied as he pointed to the panel.

"That's the only time they come in here?" You asked.

"So far. But I'm waiting." Alvin answered.

"Why?" You wondered.

"Ned Beatty time, girl." Alvin smiled.

"We've got bigger concerns right now." You warned him as you noticed a thick power cord running from the back of your cage to the ceiling. You sat up as high as you could and reached your hands outside the top of the cage and tried pulling on the cord.

"Oh, yeah?" Alvin wondered.

"Yeah." You repeated.

"What do you think they want, then?" Alvin asked you as you continued tugging on the cord.

"It depends on who they are." You stated.

"They're a bunch of psycho hillbilly rednecks, if ya ask me...looking for love in all the wrong places." Alvin spat. "What's your name again?"

"I'm Y/N." You grunted as you were pulling with all your might.

"Why don't you give it up, Y/N. There's no way out." He retorted.

"If Sam and Dean have taught me anything...it's that...there's always a way out!" You shouted as you watched the cord loose from the ceiling. It didn't disconnect though so you were still stuck. You coughed as dust settled around you when you noticed something fell into your cage. You picked it up and examined it.

"What is it?" Alvin asked you.

"A bracket." You answered as you looked at it.

"Oh thank God, a bracket. Now, we got' em huh?" Alvin said sarcastically. You rolled your eyes at him, you were starting to get tired of his attitude. Suddenly you a crack and Alvin's cage opened up. "Must have been a short. Maybe you knocked something loose." Alvin said as he got out of his cage.

"I don't think so, you need to get back in the cage, Alvin!" You suggested.

"What?" Alvin scoffed.

"There something off about this." You insisted.

"Don't you wanna get outta here?" Alvin asked you.

"I do, but that was way too easy." You argued.

"Look, I'm gonna get outta here. I'm gonna send help, okay. Don't worry." Alvin said.

"Please Alvin, I think this is a trap!" You cried.

"Bye, Y/N." Alvin said as he left the barn.

"Alvin!" You shouted. A few minutes passed until you heard Alvin screaming bloody murder until it went deadly silent. "Dammit!"

You weren't sure how much time had passed since they killed Alvin, and you weren't sure when they come for you. You knew running didn't help Alvin, so you figured you would have a better chance at taking them out face to face. At one point they dragged an unconscious women into the barn and threw her in Alvin's cage. " Are you okay?" You asked the woman as she woke up and rubbed her head.

"Are you Y/N L/N? Aren't you?" She asked as she looked over at you. You were surprised that she knew your name.

"Yeah." You nodded your head at her.

"Your, uh...Your cousins' are looking for you." She stated.

"Cousins?" You wondered for a second but then you figured that must have been Sam and Dean's cover story. "Right, do you know where they are?"

"I, uh...I cuffed them to my car." She answered.

"Wow, I can't believe you were able to cuff both of them." You commented as she sighed. Then the barn door opened and you both tensed up. You were would to fight them off. You listened as two pairs of footsteps walked over to the cages.

"Y/N!" The brothers spoke in unison as they walked over to your cage. You smiled and relaxed knowing Sam and Dean found you. You watched as they examined the two cages looking for a way to break you and the woman out.

"Are you hurt?" Dean asked as he leaned his hands against your cage.

"No, I'm fine." You replied as you smiled at him.

"D*mn, it's good to see you." Dean smiled back as he smacked the cage with his hand.

"How did you two get out of the cuffs?" The woman asked.

"Oh, we have a few tricks up our sleeves." Sam hinted as he made sure she was okay. "All right." Sam started to say was he examined the lock on her cage.

"Ohh...These locks look like they're gonna be a b*tch." Dean groaned as he examined the lock on your cage.

"I saw them using an automatic control over there." You explained as you pointed at the panel on the post by the door.

"Have you seen them?" Sam asked you as he checked out the panel.

"Yeah, guys they're just people." You revealed.

"And they jumped you? Someone needs some more practice." Dean joked.

"What do they want?" Sam wondered.

"I'm not sure, but Alvin Jenkins was with me earlier, but they released and killed him." You explained. "I can't figure them out."

"Yeah, well, that's the point." Dean mumbled.

"You see, with our usual playmates there's rules and patterns, but with people...They're crazy." Sam went on as he played with the panel but it wasn't responding.

"What does it look like outside?" You wondered.

"Uh, there's about a dozen junked cars hidden out back, plates from all over." Dean shared as he looked around the barn.

"I'm guessing when they take someone, they take their car too." Sam deduced.

"Did you see a black Mustang out there? About ten years old?" The woman asked.

"Yeah, actually we did." Dean answered as he looked over at her. "Your brother's." The woman just nodded her head dejectedly.

"I'm sorry." Sam mumbled.

"Let's get you guys out of here and we'll take care of those bast*rds." Dean said.

"Well it looks like the panel needs a key of some kind." Sam pointed out as he closed the panel.

"I think one of them probably has it." You suggested.

"We need to go find it, Let's go." Dean said as he and Sam left the barn.

"Be careful you two!" You called over as they left. It went quiet again until one of your kidnappers came into the barn. "Hey, what are you doing?" You shouted as he unlocked your cage door. You grabbed a metal hinge that fell with the pipe earlier hid it in your hands.

"Hey." Kathleen shouted drawing his attention for a second but he drew his rifle on you. You threw the hinge at him as he fired causing him to miss. The rifle recoiled on him giving you an opening to fight back. You jumped out of the cage and tackled him by his legs causing him to fall over. As you were fighting him for the rifle you slammed the butt of it into his face as hard as you could knocking him out. You took this chance to take the gun from him, but it got jammed into the tussle so you tossed it away. Then you grabbed the key and unlocked Kathleen's cage so you two could find Sam and Dean and escape, but you heard voices you didn't recognize just outside. So, you locked the guy up in the cage and you and Kathleen hid in deeper in the barn and waited for the voices to get closer. Two men walked in after you, one was an old man and the other was a bit younger, and you notice they were each carrying a rifle. The younger man walked in Kathleen's direction and the old man stayed around you, you ducked behind a big bundle of hay as he walked past you. Then you heard gunfire from where Kathleen went. You quickly ran in the other room, as the old man started to shoot at you, to see the younger man about to shoot Kathleen.

"Hey you!" You shouted drawing his attention. As he fired his rifle in your direction, you ducked causing him to shoot the old man. He paused for a second shocked by what he had done giving you an opening to yank his rifle away and beat him with the butt of it until he was knocked out. You sighed heavily and took a few deep breaths.

You dragged the guy you knocked out back into the other room and locked him in the other cage, then you returned to where Kathleen was holding the injured, old man at gunpoint. "I'll watch this one. You go ahead." Kathleen suggested as she stared down at him. You gave her a look, because you knew he probably killed her brother. You wouldn't be surprised if she wanted revenge. "Go ahead." You glanced at the old man before leaving the barn to go find Sam and Dean. As you walked over to the house you saw Sam and Dean coming out of the front door.

"Are you okay?" Dean asked as he and Sam walked up to you checking for any wounds on you.

"There was a bit of a tussle, but I handled i-." You started to explain as you heard a gunshot. You three turned around to see Kathleen walking out of the barn towards you.

"Where's the girl?" Kathleen asked Sam and Dean.

"Locked in the closet, what about the dad?" Dean asked her.

"Shot. Trying to escape." Kathleen lied. 'Bullsh*t' you thought to yourself there was no way he could escape with that injury, but you decided to keep your mouth shut since it was a rough night for all of you. There was an awkward silence between the four of you as you looked between each other, until you finally found your stuff and started to leave the farm.

"Where's the car?" You wondered as you walked between Sam and Dean.

"I think it's at the police station." Dean replied as you heard Kathleen contacting the police station.

"So...state police and the FBI are gonna be here within the hour. They're gonna wanna talk to you. I suggest that you three are long gone by then." Kathleen advised as she stopped you three.

"Thanks." Sam thanked her.

"Hey, listen, I don't mean luck, but we're kind of in the middle of nowhere. Think we could catch a ride?" Dean asked her.

"Start walking." Kathleen stated. "Duck if you see a squad car."

"Sounds great to me. Thanks." Sam nodded his head at her as he and Dean started to walk away.

"Listen, uh...I'm sorry about your brother." You mumbled.

"Thank you. It was really hard not knowing what happened to him. I thought it would be easier once I knew the truth. But...it isn't really." Kathleen spoke quietly trying to hold in her tears.

"I lost my family a little over a year ago now, I know how it feels to have that gaping hole in your heart. I think I know what killed them, but to be honest I'm kinda scared to find out the truth" You admitted.

"Well, I know those two seem to care a lot about you, They did everything they could to find you. Anyway, you should go." Kathleen suggested as she looked over at Sam and Dean. You ran over to catch up to them and the boy walked ahead of you.

"Don't ever do that again." Dean growled at you.

"Do what?" You wondered as they matched your pace.

"Go missing like that." Dean huffed.

"Don't mind Dean, he was out of his mind worried about you, so was I." Sam shared as he chuckled at Dean.

"All I'm saying is, you vanish like that again, I'm not looking for you." Dean stated.

"Yeah, yeah whatever you say." You smiled happy to be back with them again. "So did you get really sidelined by a thirteen year old girl?"

"Oh, shut up." Dean spoke gruffly.

"Maybe you need some more practice too." You joked.

"Shut up." Dean laughed as you and Sam started laughing with him.
