THE ROAD SO FAR...

"You guys aren't FBI agents are you?" You asked.

It got quiet while you waited for their response. "No we're not," Agent Clapton replied. "My name is Sam and that is my brother Dean, we are hunters."

"Hunters?" You asked wondering what they meant.

"Yeah hunters, we hunt monsters, like vampires, werewolves, and spirits," Dean replied...

"Dad's given us a job to do. He wants us to pick up where he left off. Saving people, hunting things." Dean stated...

"Hey guys!" You said running up to them. They both stopped and looked at you."I wanna go with you."

"No way," Dean said said turning you down.

"Come on Dean, she has been helpful on the last few cases," Sam said liking the idea of you joining them.

Dean thought about it for a moment and sighed. "Fine, but you need to be careful and listen to everything we say" Dean said giving in.

"Alright!" You said smiling at them. They both smiled at you and the three of you walked out of the airport. Not knowing what you just got yourself into, but you had a feeling you wouldn't regret it...

"This demon killed Mom and Jess. I gotta find Dad. I gotta find Jessica's killer." Sam declared...

"Y/N, wait." Missouri called as she got up and stopped you. "I'm so sorry about what happened your family."

"What?" you wondered what she was talking about.

"I mean to find your parents and your siblings killed and by a demon no less." Missouri explained. Your eyes widened at her statement, you never told anyone about that not even Sam and Dean. Memories flashed through your head...of you returning home...finding your parents and siblings laying on the floor covered in blood...and someone standing over them with yellow eyes.

"Do you have any idea why I was the only one spared?" you asked Missouri.

"No I don't, but if I had to guess it might have something to do with those boys." Missouri commented as she glanced at Sam and Dean...

"I'm Meg." Meg smiled at Sam.

"Where are you headed?" Sam wondered.

"No way I'm telling you. You could be some kind of freak." Meg teased Sam...

"Dad." Dean mumbled as he ran up and hugged John...

"I used to be a big sister myself. I had to watch out for my little siblings while my parents went out on their business trips. There was my little sister Sarah who was sixteen, and the twins, Allie and Elliot who were six." You shared. "Sarah was always independent, she preferred doing her own thing or hanging out with her friends, she wasn't too keen on spending time with our family. I actually wasn't around for most of the twins' lives since I was at Stanford when they were born. I came around more in my senior year, and they would always cling to me and follow me around everywhere. I felt like I missed out on a lot so I was trying to make up for lost time."

"You said "used to be" though, what happened?" Michael asked as he sat closer to you.

"Probably about, what? Two years ago now I think. I was coming home to visit for the weekend and my flight was delayed so I didn't get to the house until late into the night and I saw something kill my parents, Sarah, Allie and Elliot. Sometimes I wonder if things would have been different if I was there to protect them." You explained...

"In 1835, Samuel Colt made a special gun. They say this gun can kill anything." John revealed...

"You do not know what we've been through, so don't act like you're a part of this family!" John shouted at you.

"You know what you're right, I'm not a part of this family. I have no family anymore. But I sure as hell know what you've been through 'cause I watched my whole family get slaughtered by some demon two years ago and I couldn't save them!" You cried as tears started to well up in your eyes.

"Y/N..." Sam and Dean murmured as they stared at you in shock.

"I promise I won't make that same mistake twice, I will always be there for Sam and Dean no matter what!" You proclaimed...

"I have these nightmares. And sometimes they come true." Sam admitted...

"You two are all I've got. But I guess we are stronger as a family. We go after this thing together. That includes you too, Y/N." John decided.

"Yes, sir." Sam and Dean said in unison.

"Yeah." You smiled at him...

NOW...

You, Sam, Dean, and John were still staying at the motel in Manning, Colorado gathering all of the information John has uncovered about the demon. "So this is it. This is everything I know. Look, our whole lives, we've been searching for this demon. Right? Not a trace, just nothing. Until about a year ago. For the first time I picked up a trail." John explained.

"That's when you took off." Dean added.

"Yeah. That's right." John nodded. "The demon must have come out of hiding or hibernation."

"All right. So, what's this trail you found?" Dean asked.

"Starts in Arizona, then New Jersey, California. Houses burned down to the ground. It's going after families, just like it went after us." John replied.

"Families with infants?" Sam wondered.

"Yeah. The night of the kid's six month birthday." John answered.

"I was six months old that night?" Sam asked.

"Exactly six months." John stated.

"Um, don't mean to cut in, but quick question." You began. "Did the demon that attacked you guys have yellow eyes?"

"Yellow-eyes?" Sam and Dean wondered.

"Yes, but how did you know?" John asked you.

"Well, about two years ago somebody with yellow-eyes came and killed my whole family." You revealed.

"We remember you saying that before, but are you sure they had yellow-eyes?" John asked.

"Positive." You nodded. "I could never forget those bright yellow-eyes that held some much evil and darkness in them."

"We need you to tell us everything that happened that day." John told you.

"Okay, like I said it was about two years ago now. I had just finished college a few months ago and I was visiting my family for the long weekend..." You began.

TWO YEARS AGO...

"Dammit! Why did that plane have to be late!?" You grumbled to yourself as you walked through the lobby of the airport. It was already after nine pm and you were hoping they weren't asleep yet. You finally got out of the airport after weaving through crowds of people and found your car. Thankfully your father had dropped a car off at the parking lot earlier that day for you to drive back to the house. Your family lived in the township of Ravenna, Ohio in an old farmhouse that you have lived in since the twins were born. You found the car and started making your way home.

On the way there you received a call from your mom, Kathleen. "Oh! Hi mom, you're still up?" You asked through the phone.

"Yeah, the twins refused to go to bed until they saw you." Kathleen explained. "I also figured that you hadn't eaten yet so I took the liberty of making you some dinner for when you get here."

"That's so sweet of you, mom" You smiled looking forward to getting home. "I'm about a half hour out, I think. By the way where's dad?"

"He's finishing up a call with a client, but he'll be finished when you get home." Kathleen explained. Your mom and your father, Daniel, were home renovators. They would take any clients even if they were out of state, so they spent most of yours and Sarah's childhoods on business trips. They started taking jobs that were closer to where you lived once the twins were born.

"That's a little late for that, isn't it?" You questioned.

"I suppose, but the client is an old friend of ours and he was insistent to talk to your father." Kathleen explained. "Oh, I've got to get the oven. Sarah can you talk to your sister for a bit!" You heard Kathleen call out.

"Ugh, fine." You heard Sarah grumble as she took the phone.

"Hey, sis, how's it going?" You asked Sarah.

"The twins are being so annoying right, now. I've got to watch them since mom and dad are." Sarah huffed. "And since you were late our family dinner was moved to breakfast so I can't go out with my friends."

"I know, but I couldn't help it. Tell you what, just go hang out with your friends after breakfast is over. I'll be taking the twins to the zoo, so you'll be free to do whatever you want." You shared. "Just do me a favor and stay out of trouble."

"You're a lifesaver." Sarah admitted.

"I know." You shrugged. Then you show commotion on Sarah's end of the line. "What's going on?"

"Oh, looks like someone is at the door. Mom's getting it." Sarah replied. "The twins wanna say hi."

"Okay, put them on then." You agreed.

"Y/N!" You heard Allie and Elliot yell into the phone at the same time.

"Hey, you two. Are you excited for tomorrow?" You asked them.

"Yeah, you gonna spend the whole day with us, right?" Allie squealed.

"Why were you late?" Elliot wondered at the same time. It was a little hard to hear them, but you could still understand what they were saying. You figured they were trying to share the phone and didn't know how to put it on speaker.

"My plane was delayed, and yes I'll spend the whole weekend with you if you want me too." You told them.

"Yay!" You heard them squeal into the phone at the same time.

"Hey, there's a weird man at the door talking to mom..." You heard Elliot mutter.

"Weird man?" You asked them, but there was no response. "Allie? Elliot?" You called out. You checked your phone and the call had hung up on their end. 'That was weird...' You thought to yourself. It didn't matter, you would be home in a couple minutes anyways.

Once you got home you turned off the engine and you walked up the front steps to the door. As you were about to try opening the door you noticed a man standing in the kitchen through the door's window next to your mom. Then you watched as he grabbed her by her neck and pierced through her chest with his hand and blood covered the floor below her body. You were about to call the police, but you noticed the other bodies laying on the floor around them, which looked like your father and Sarah. You froze from the shock and dropped your phone causing him to look towards the door, as you went to lean out of sight you noticed his bright, yellow eyes which felt like they could stare into your soul. When you heard him coming closer to the door you quickly grabbed your phone and jumped over the porch railing and hid in the thick bushes below. You put your hands over your mouth to keep quiet as you heard him a few feet above you on the porch.

"Huh, just a cat." You heard him say as you noticed a cat running away. You weren't sure how long you stayed in those bushes, but you didn't know if he was gone or not. After what felt like forever you finally came out of hiding and looked around. He wasn't anywhere nearby, so you quietly went into the house to see what happened. You slowly walked in the kitchen to find the bodies of your mom, dad, and Sarah laying limp on the tile.

"Mom...Dad...Sarah!" You cried as you fell to your knees crying. You knew they were dead just from the wounds and the amount of blood spattered in the kitchen. Then you suddenly remembered Allie and Elliot. "Allie, Elliot!" You shouted as you got up hoping maybe they hid or escaped. You walked into the living room and noticed the room had been torn a part like there was a battle in there. The couch was turned over hiding a corner of the room. You slowly walked around the broken coffee table and chairs and peeked around the couch. "No!" You screamed as you saw Allie and Elliot's bodies in the same condition as your parents and Sarah. You started bawling your eyes out as you walked backwards and tripped over a broken end table causing you to fall on the ground. You just kept crying until you couldn't cry anymore. Whoever that guy was or whatever he was you knew no human could do this with just their bare hands. You were too afraid to call the police because you didn't know how to explain what happened to your family, and you weren't sure if that guy was going to come back or not. So you just got in your car and ran, you kept on running until the day you met Sam and Dean Winchester...

NOW...

"So, for the next year I just aimlessly wandered not knowing what to do, that is until I met Sam and Dean." You explained. "I don't even know why he would kill my family, like that. Allie and Elliot were already six years old and there were never any freak fires at our house either."

"Hopefully we can figure out why when we catch the b*stard." John decided. "In the meantime let's go over what else we know."

"So basically, this demon is going after these kids for some reason." Sam figured. "Same way it came for me? So Mom's death, Jessica, it's all 'cause of me?

"We don't know that." Dean stated.

"Oh, really? I'd say we're sure." Sam argued.

"For the last time, what happened to them is not your fault." Dean argued.

"You can't blame yourself, Sam. After all he's going after a lot more than just your family. The way I see it he's just an evil son of b*tch who needs to be put down." You commented.

"You guys are right. It's not my fault, but it's my problem." Sam argued.

"No, it's your problem. It's our problem." Dean pointed out.

"Okay. That's enough." John intervened as he stood up.

"So why is it doing it? What does it want?" Sam questioned.

"Look, I wish I had more answers. I do. I've always been one step behind it. Look, I've never gotten there in time to save..." John tried to explain.

"All right, so how do we find it before it hits again?" Dean asked.

"There are signs. Look, it took me a while to see the pattern, but in the days before these fires, signs crop up in an area. Cattle deaths, uh, temperature fluctuations, electrical storms." John shared.

"Now that I think about it, the day my family died there were electrical storms in the area that delayed my flight." You mentioned.

"Exactly, and when I went back and checked..." John began.

"These things happened in Lawrence too." Dean finished.

"The week before your mother died." John added as he looked at Dean. "And in Palo Alto." John revealed as he turned and looked at Sam. "Before Jessica. And these signs, they're starting again."

"Where?" Sam asked John.

"Salvation, Iowa." John answered.

You packed everything up and you left for Salvation with John leading the way in his truck. AS you passed Salvation's town line John pulled off the side of the road and parked in a clearing surrounded by trees. "D*mn it!" John growled as he got out of the truck.

"What is it?" Dean asked as you three got out of the Impala to see what was wrong.

"Son of a b*tch!" John shouted as he slammed his fist on the side of his truck.

"What is it?" Dean repeated as he walked over to John.

"I just got a call from Caleb." John answered as he put his hands in his jacket pockets.

"Is he okay?" Dean asked. You figured that Caleb was a family friend and probably a fellow hunter.

"He's fine. Jim Murphy's dead." John revealed.

"Pastor Jim?" Sam questioned. "How?"

"Throat was slashed. He bled out. Caleb says they found traces of sulfur at Jim's place." John

"A demon." Dean stated. "Thedemon?"

"I don't know." John admitted. "Could be he just got...He got careless. He must've slipped up. Maybe the demon knows we're getting close."

"What do you wanna do?" Dean asked him.

"Now we act like every second counts." John declared. "There's two hospitals and a health center in this county. We split up, with the four of us we can cover more ground. I want records. I want a list of every infant. that's gonna be six months old in the next week."

"Dad, that could be dozens of kids." Sam pointed out. "How the hell are we gonna know which one's the right one?"

"We'll check 'em all, that's how. You got any better ideas?" John asked Sam.

"No, sir." Sam mumbled. You guys were about to get back in the car when John paused for a second.

"Dad?" Dean called over to him.

"Yeah? It's Jim. You know, I can't-This ends now. I'm ending it. I don't care what it takes." John proclaimed as he got into his truck. You three jumped in the Impala, and continued to follow John down the road.

John and Dean took the hospitals while you and Sam tackled the health center together. After showing your IDs and explaining why you were there. You sat down at the table in their records room as the nurse collected the files for you two. "Here you go, officers." She smiled as she set the files on the table.

"Thanks." You nodded.

"Thank you." Sam said.

"You're welcome." The nurse smiled then left you to do your work. Each of you took half the stack and you wrote all of the names of soon-to-be six month old kids.

As you and Sam were walking out of the health center he was going over the list of names again as he winced in pain and held his hand. "Sam!" You cried as you stayed close to support him. You figured he must be having another vision. You led him over to a bench and sat him down so he wouldn't hurt himself. He opened his eyes and looked around as he breathed heavily. "Hey, what did you see?"

"A train." Sam muttered as he pulled a map out of his backpack. "I know where the demon's gonna be." Sam whispered as he folded up the map and ran off.

"Hey wait for me!" You called as you ran after him. You followed him through a park and caught up with him as he had another vision. Then it started to rain. "Oh great." You mumbled since you had no umbrella you two were gonna get soaked. Sam just stared at a house across the street then his eyes moved towards a woman walking down the sidewalk with her baby. "Oh." You breathed. You figured she was in his vision and the demon was probably gonna go after her baby. You followed Sam across the street as he went to talk to the woman.

"Hi. Here. Let me hold that. It looks like you don't need that anymore." Sam offered

"Oh, thanks." She smiled as she folded up the umbrella and handed it to Sam.

"She's gorgeous. Is she yours?" Sam wondered as he looked at her baby.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"Oh, wow. Hi. I'm sorry, He's rude. He is Sam and I'm Y/N. We just moved in up the block." You explained as you each shook her hand.

"Oh, hey. I'm Monica." Monica introduced herself.

"Monica." Sam nodded.

"This is Rosie." She smiled brightly as she looked down at her daughter.

"Rosie? Hi, Rosie." Sam greeted Rosie with a smile.

"So welcome to the neighborhood." Monica exclaimed.

"Thanks. She's such a good baby." You observed as you looked down at Rosie.

"I know, she-I mean, she never cries. She just stares at everybody. Sometimes she looks at you, and I swear-It's like she's reading your mind." Monica shared.

"What about you, Monica? Have you-? Have you lived here long?" Sam asked her.

"Uh, my husband and I, we bought our place just before Rosie was born." Monica replied as she looked towards the house Sam was looking at earlier.

"How old is Rosie?" You asked.

"She's six months today." Monica answered. "She's big, right? Growing like a weed."

"Yeah." Sam agreed as he looked down at Rosie. "Monica-"

"Yeah." Monica began.

"Just, uh...Just take care of yourself, okay?" Sam advised her.

"Yeah. You, too. Sam. Y/N. We'll see you guys around." Monica said goodbye as she pushed the stroller towards the house.

"Yeah, looking forward to it." You agreed.

"Oh, there's Daddy." You heard Monica say as a car's horn honked while you and Sam walked back across the street. As you two watched Monica greet her husband Sam had another vision.

You and Sam got back to the motel as fast as you could and you called Dean and John back so Sam could fill them on on what happened. "A vision?" John questioned as he sat on one of the beds.

"Yes." Sam sighed as he rubbed his forehead. "I saw the demon burning a woman on the ceiling."

"All right, and you think it's gonna happen to this woman you met because...?" John questioned.

"Because these things happen exactly the way I see them." Sam began.

"Yeah, they started out as nightmares. And then they started happening while he was awake." Dean continued.

"Yeah. It's like-I don't know. It's like the closer I get to anything involving the demon, the stronger the visions get." Sam explained.

"All right, when were you gonna tell me about this?" John asked them.

"We didn't know what it meant." Dean stated.

"All right, something like this starts happening to your brother, you pick up the phone and you call me." John told them.

"Call you? Are you kidding me? Dad, I called you from Lawrence. All right? Sam called you when I was dying. I mean, getting you on the phone. I got a better chance of winning the lottery." Dean argued.

"You're right." John admitted. "Although I'm not real crazy about this new tone of yours. You're right. I'm sorry."

"All right guys, regardless of Sam's visions we know that the demon is going to show tonight. We cannot let Monica's family suffer like our families have." You pointed out.

"Y/N's got a point." John agreed. "No one will, ever again." Then Sam's phone rang and he answered it.

"Hello? Who is this? Meg. Last time I saw you, you fell out of a window. Just your feelings? That was a seven-story drop." Sam spoke into the phone as you all tensed up. It shouldn't be humanly possible for a human to survive that fall. Then again, she was working for a demon so... "My dad? I don't know where my dad is." Sam denied as he looked up at John. He hesitated before slowly handing the phone to John.

"This is John. I'm here. Caleb? Caleb. You listen to me. He's got nothing to do with anything. You let him go. I don't know what you're talking about. Caleb? Caleb. I'm gonna kill you. You know that? Okay. I said okay. I'll bring you the Colt. It's gonna take me about a day's drive to get there. That's impossible. I can't get there in time, and I can't just carry a gun on a plane." John spoke into the phone.

"So you think Meg is a demon?" Sam asked John.

"Either that or she's possessed by one. It doesn't really matter." John speculated.

"What do we do?" Dean asked.

"I'm going to Lincoln." John decided.

"What?" Dean questioned.

"Doesn't seem like I have a choice. If I don't go, a lot of people die. Our friends die." John explained.

"Dad, the demon is coming tonight for Monica and her family. That gun is all we got. You can't just hand it over." Sam stated.

"Who said anything about handing it over? Look, besides us and a couple of vampires, no one's really seen the gun. No one knows what it looks like." John pointed out.

"So what? You just gonna pick up a ringer at a pawn shop?" Dean questioned.

"Antique store." John stated.

"You're gonna try to pass off a fake to Meg? What if she notices?" You asked.

"Look, as long as it's close, she shouldn't be able to tell the difference." John reassured you.

"Yeah, but for how long? What happens when she figures it out?" Dean asked.

"I just...I just need to buy a few hours, that's all." John replied.

"You mean for Dean, Y/N, and me." Sam figured. "You want us to stay here. And kill this demon by ourselves."

"No, Sam. I want to stop losing people we love. I want you to go to school. I want Dean to have a home. I want Mary alive. I just-I just want this to be over." John admitted.

You and Dean left to go to the antique store to buy the fake gun, while John and Sam waited for you at the meeting point. Dean drove down a muddy, dirt road in the middle of nowhere so you could pass the gun over in secret. "Did you get it?" John asked as you and Dean got out of the Impala and met them at the bed of John's truck. Dean pulled the fake gun out, which was in a brown, paper bag, and handed it to John.

"You know this is a trap, don't you? That's why Meg wants you to come alone." Dean stated the obvious.

"I can handle her. I got a whole arsenal loaded. Holy water, Mandaic amulets-" John began.

"Dad..." Dean interrupted.

"What?" John asked Dean.

"Promise me something." Dean said.

"What's that?" John wondered.

"If this thing goes south, just get the hell out. Don't get yourself killed, all right? You're no good to us dead." Dean voiced.

"Same goes for you." John agreed. "All right, listen to me. They made the bullets special for this Colt. There's only four of 'em left, and without 'em this gun is useless. You make every shot count."

"Yes, sir." Sam nodded.

"I've been waitin' a long time for this fight. Now it's here, and I'm not gonna be in it. It's up to you three now. It's your fight. You finish this. You finish what I started. You understand?" John asked you three as he gave Dean the real Colt.

"We'll see you soon, Dad." Sam expressed.

"I'll see you later." John smiled. Then he got into his truck and left.

"Later." Dean mumbled as you three watched John disappear in the distance.

That night you and the boys watched Monica's house waiting for something to happen. "Maybe we could tell 'em there's a gas leak. Might get them out of the house for a few hours." Sam suggested as you guys sat in the Impala outside the house.

"Yeah, and how many times has that actually worked for us?" Dean questioned.

"If you want the demon to show up we need to wait until then. If we did that then he may not show up at all." You pointed out as you leaned forward from the backseat.

"Yeah. Could always tell 'em the truth." Sam suggested.

"Nah." Dean shook his head.

"No." Sam muttered.

"Nope." You mumbled.

"I know, I know. I know, I know I just...With what's coming for these people..." Sam began.

"Sam, we only got one move, and you know it, all right? We gotta wait for that demon to show itself and then...we get it before it gets them." Dean stated.

"I wonder how Dad is doin' ."Sam mentioned.

"I'd feel a lot better if we were there backin' him up." Dean admitted.

"I'd feel a lot better if he were here backin' us up." Sam admitted. "This is weird."

"What is?" You wondered.

"After all these years, we're finally here. Doesn't seem real." Sam voiced.

"I get it, I couldn't have imagined myself sitting here a year ago." You agreed.

"We just gotta keep our heads and do our job, like always." Dean stated.

"Yeah, but this isn't like always." Sam pointed out.

"True." Dean nodded.

"Guys, uh... I wanna thank you." Sam began.

"For what?" Dean asked.

"For everything. Dean, you've always had my back, you know? Even when I couldn't count on anyone, I could always count on you. Then there's Y/N, you had every reason to not join us and you could've run away at any time, but you decided to stick with us. And now...I don't know, I just wanted to let you know. Just in case." Sam explained.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You kiddin' me?" Dean scoffed.

"What?" Sam wondered.

"Don't say, "Just in case somethin' happens to you." I don't wanna hear that freakin' speech, man. Nobody's dyin' tonight. Not us, not that family, nobody. Except that demon. That evil son of a b*tch isn't getting any older than tonight. You understand me?" Dean proclaimed. "Dad's not answering." Dean said as he hung up his phone.

"Maybe Meg was late. Maybe his cell reception's bad." Sam supposed.

"Yeah, well..." Dean began as the car's radio started picking up static.

"Guys, wait." Sam said. "Listen." Sam tuned the radio and you started hearing a voice speak indistinctly over the radio and the wind picked up unusually fast. Then all of the house's light and the street lights started flickering. "It's coming." You three got out of the car and quickly ran over to the house. Dean picked the lock and you snuck inside.

"Get out of my house!" Monica's husband shouted as he swung a bat at Dean breaking a lamp. "Get out of my house!" Dean blocked his attack and tried to get the bat away from him.

"Please, please. Mr. Holt, please." Sam pleaded with him.

"Be quiet and listen to me." Be quiet and listen to me. We are trying to help you." Dean tried to explain. "Okay?"

"Charlie?" You heard Monica call from upstairs. "Everything okay?"

"Monica, get the baby!" Charlie yelled upstaris.

"Don't go in the nursery!" Sam shouted.

"No!" You cried as you ran upstairs to stop Monica and hopefully save Rosie.

"You stay away from her!" You heard Charlie shout below you.

"What are you-?" You heard Monica ask someone as you made it to the hallway by the nursery. You ran into the nursery to see Monica pinned to the ceiling and a man standing over Rosie's crib.

"Rosie!" Monica cried. The man looked at you and you saw those same yellow-eyes that killed your family.

"You...?" He whispered as he stared at you.

"You're not taking another family you as*-hole!"You shouted as you fired your pistol at him, but he disappeared and the shot went into the wall. Monica fell to the floor as looked around.

"Rosie!" Monica cried again.

"I got it her!" You shouted as you grabbed Rosie from her crib and it caught on fire. Sam and Dean met you at the stairs and helped you and Monica out of the house.

"You get away from my family!" Charlie shouted as he ran at you guys.

"But, Charlie, don't! They saved us." Monica cried. "I mean, they saved us." Monica sobbed as she took Rosie from you. "Thank you." You guys looked back at the burning house and you saw the demon staying in the window of the nursery. You froze as a cold chill ran down your spine it felt like he was looking into your soul.

"It's still in there." Sam growled.

"Sam-Sam! No." Dean yelled as he grabbed Sam.

"Dean let me go. It's still in there." Sam cried.

"It's burning to the ground! It's suicide!" Dean snapped.

"I don't care!" Sam yelled.

"I do!" Dean yelled back. Then you all watched as he disappeared, but that feeling didn't go away.

"Come on, Dad. Answer your phone, d*mn it!" Dean growled as he paced around the motel room. After the demon disappeared you three made a quick escape before the cops arrived at Monica and Charlie's house. Once you got back to the motel Dean repeatedly called John worried for his safety. "Something's wrong. You hear me? Something's happened." Dean repeated as he looked over at Sam who was staring into space with an angry look on his face.

"If you had just let me go in there, I coulda ended all this." Sam growled.

"Sam, the only thing you would end was your life." Dean pointed out.

"You don't know that." Sam argued.

"So what? You're just willing to sacrifice yourself, is that it?" Dean asked him.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're d*mn right I am." Sam snapped.

"Yeah. Well, that's not gonna happen. Not as long as I'm around." Dean stated.

"What the hell are you talkin' about, Dean? We've been searching for this demon our whole lives. It's the only thing we've ever cared about." Sam criticized.

"Sam, I wanna waste it. I do. Okay? But it's not worth dyin' over." Dean scolded Sam.

"What?" Sam questioned.

"I mean it. If huntin' this demon means you gettin' yourself killed then I hope we never find the damn thing." Dean retorted.

"That thing killed Jess. That thing killed Mom." Sam hissed.

"You said yourself once...that no matter what we do, they're gone. And they're never comin' back." Dean retorted.

"Don't you say that! Not you!" Sam seethed as he slammed Dean against the wall. "Not after all this. Don't you say that."

"Sam, listen." You began as you tried to get between them. "The three of us...no, the four of us...that's all we have. And that's all I have." You cried. "Honestly I'm barely holding on after seeing that demon again." You admitted.

Dean sighed. "Without you or Dad, even Y/N at this point I..." Dean muttered.

"Dad." Sam scoffed as he let go of Dean and walked around the room. "He shoulda called by now." Sam realized. "Try him again." Dean tried to call John again.

"Where is he?" Dean asked, you assumed Meg, over the phone.
