I DO NOT OWN THE RAGE: CARRIE 2.
The scene then changed to a flashback that Rachel was having where she watched Lisa throw herself off of the school rooftop.
"Lisa! Don't! Don't jump!" Rachel pleaded, but it was too late. Lisa landed on the car and blood covered the entire windshield. Lisa's face then turned into Rachel's face before she woke up, revealing it to be a nightmare.
The students and staff quickly averted their eyes as they had seen Lisa's suicide once and they had no desire to witness the tragedy again; especially Rachel.
The scene then changed to Rachel, who looked rather uncomfortable, sitting in Sue Snell's office.
"Last night I took a look at your file." Ms. Snell said as she looked at Rachel. "Your mom is at Arkham for schizophrenia? How's she doing?"
"She's gonna be fine." Rachel said quietly as she clearly didn't like talking about it.
"Cuckoo, cuckoo." Brad Winters teased, earning some Snickers from the other kids.
"Mr. Winters, detention tomorrow for harassing a student!" Principal Faulkner exclaimed/
"Shit!" Brad exclaimed in return as he sat back down, feeling sorry for himself as some of the other kids laughed at his misfortune.
"I had a really traumatic experience in high school." Ms. Snell confided as a look of sorrow took over her face. "I tried to help someone, and it backfired horribly." The screen then changed to a young Sue Snell being grabbed by a bloody arm.
"No, stop!" Young Sue screamed before snapping back into modern day.
"What in the fuck was that sick shit?" Mark asked incredulously as some in the audience seemed like they wanted to blow chunks.
"Mark, language!" Mrs. Bing chastised.
"But mom, look at that!" Mark argued as he pointed to the screen.
"Both of you, shut your pie holes!" Mr. Bing declared as he'd almost had his fill of this whole weird thing.
"I spent some time at Arkham as a patient; does that shock you?" Ms. Snell asked.
"I guess. I mean, you seem pretty normal to me." Rachel answered.
"Yeah, well... I try." Ms. Snell said with a soft chuckle.
"If Snell is bat shit, how'd she get hired?" Tracy asked her best friend Monica, assuming there were laws against that sort of thing.
"Maybe she sucked Faulkner off?" Monica offered with a snicker.
"So, do you visit your mom often?" Ms. Snell asked as Rachel nodded. "Is that scary for you?"
"What do you mean?" Rachel inquired.
"It's perfectly normal to be afraid of turning out like your parents." the guidance counselor explained.
"Come on, I know I'm ten times more likely to get it than most people." the teenage girl said incredulously
"I didn't mean to patronize you." Ms. Snell replied as the shrill sound of the bell was heard. "So, is that scary for you? Rachel, in a way you've lost your mother and now you've lost a friend. Losing people close to you can be very painful and lonely..." As Ms. Snell kept talking, Rachel appeared to be in distress.
"Rachel, are you ok?" Jesse asked as he could see Rachel growing more nervous as she watched the film.
"Not really..." she whispered.
"If you wanna talk..." Ms. Snell started to say.
"No!" Rachel exclaimed as her cup was pushed off the desk by some unknown force. "I'm sorry. I...must've knocked it."
"I didn't see you knock it." Ms. Snell replied
"Rachel...how do you control your...powers?" Jesse asked awkwardly as he had a hard time accepting what he was seeing.
"I don't know...I don't know how they work." Rachel admitted sheepishly as Jesse held her hand in his.
"You know, maybe there's ways for you to turn those powers into some quick green." Arnold said with a smirk as everyone else started to consider the possibility.
"Mr. Thomas!" Principal Faulkner exclaimed as most of the parents looked at the kids in outrage.
"She could make sure that Bates High never loses another football game." Mark said to Coach Walsh as the coach got a greedy look on his face as he gazed at a very uncomfortable Rachel.
"Knock it off, Rachel isn't some kind of cheat code that you can use to make cash and win games!" Jesse shouted angrily as most people got guilty looks on for face for having their first instincts be to exploit this child. As Jesse sat down, Rachel leaned in and pressed a tender kiss to his cheek.
"Thank you." she whispered as Jesse held her close as his parents looked on in pride at their son.
The screen then showed Eric Stark at his locket when it was closed via telekinesis to reveal a pissed off Rachel staring him down.
"I know, I know what you did to her." Rachel growled before Eric awkwardly walked off.
"That was you?" Eric asked nervously as Rachel said nothing and gave him another glare. As for the other students, they grew nervous too as it finally set in that Rachel's powers could be dangerous if she lost control...or got angry.
"Maybe we need another break." Ms. Snell suggested as the film was paused.
When the students returned to their seats, the film continued.
The screen switched to showing the Bulldogs football team watching footage of last year's homecoming game against their rivals: the Carlin Devils.
"As we can see from last year's film, the Carlin Devils play tough, smash-mouth football." Coach Walsh said as he pointed out the moves. "Here we see Mr Bing..."
"I thought you got the pictures." Eric whispered in fear.
"Relax, all right? Nobody knows, i'm sure they're at the Photo Mat." Mark whispered back nonchalantly.
"Except that everyone knows now, Mr. Bing." The principal said as Mark Bing cursed under his breath while Eric Stark broke out in a cold sweat.
"It takes an hour to develop film, come on, man." Eric insisted before Coach Walsh got up right in their faces.
"Mr Bing, on your feet." He commanded as Mark did as commanded. "Turn around and drop trou."
"What?" Mark asked in disbelief.
"You heard. Drop trou, shorts and all." the coach insisted as Mark slowly turned around; only to get cuffed on the back of the head. "Now son, if you wanna stay a starter on this team!"
Everyone in the gym was stunned by the coach's behavior, while Mark was utterly embarrassed. Even Jesse and Rachel couldn't help but feel sorry for him while Mark's parents looked away in discomfort.
"You undress like a girl. Let's go." Coach Walsh commanded as Mark did as he was told, revealing his bare ass to the team and the audience. "After that half-assed block, I wanted to check if maybe you had a tampon string between your legs."
Everyone in the gym was either humiliated (Mark) or horrified by the display; even Coach Walsh himself started to look nervous as everyone began to shout insults at him.
"Pervert!"
"You get off abusing kids?"
"Sick ass loser shit!" Eventually, The teachers got the students to calm down enough for Principal Faulkner to address the situation.
"Walsh, after the film, you are to hand in your resignation and get off school property by day's end; is that understood?" Faulkner asked angrily.
"Yes sir..." Coach Walsh whispered as he didn't dare try to defend himself with the whole town hating his guts. The school body and their parents cheered loudly as Walsh only had a little over an hour left as Coach at Bates High.
"Sit, all right girls, this Friday it's gonna be kill or be killed; let's go!" Coach Walsh shouted as the players ran out to the field for practice while Jesse looked back at Mark with pity on his face.
"I don't need your pity, Jesse." Mark grumbled as Jesse rolled his eyes.
"I'm your friend, fuck me for being concerned about you." Jesse shot back as neither man wanted to have a heart to heart over Mark's exposed ass.
The screen then changed to the field where the Bulldogs were practicing for the big game that Friday. Eric Stark was getting especially worked up as Coach Walsh encouraged him.
"You ready for the game Friday?" Walsh asked.
"Yeah!" Eric answered with a chest puff as both men turned to see a sheriff's squad car pull up to the school before the screen changed to Eric getting grilled by said sheriff.
You've never seen, met or talked to Lisa Parker?" Sheriff Kelton inquired, staring Eric in the eye.
"No, sir, never." Eric insisted in desperation.
"You damn liar!" Rachel exclaimed as the lights flickered while Jesse tried to calm her down. Eric hid his head in his hands as he didn't dare respond.
"Who's this you're hanging on to?" The sheriff asked as he held up a picture of him and Lisa together.
"Damn, you are screwed!" Arnold remarked as everyone threw taunts and jeers at a humiliated Eric.
The screen then changed to lunch time where Rachel and Jesse were talking, while being watched by Tracy Campbell and Monica Jones.
"Salvation Army alert." Tracy said with disdain. "Look who Jess is talking to, she's such a bottom-feeder."
"Shut the Hell up, Tracy!" Jesse exclaimed.
"Then how about dating someone better than her?" Tracy asked angrily. Before Jesse could respond, Rachel grabbed his hands and pulled him down; not wanting to start a pointless confrontation.
"You working tonight?" Jesse asked.
"No." Rachel replied with a smirk.
"You wanna meet me at the diner?" Jesse asked again, earning a smile from his intended.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Okay." Rachel said as she tried to downplay how happy she was.
"Cool, see you there." Jesse as he left Rachel's table before Arnold quickly swooped in and took his seat.
"So, what did he want?" Arnold inquired eagerly.
"He asked me out." Rachel replied as Arnold was taken aback by this development.
"What did you say?" He inquired again.
"I said, "Okay. It's your funeral." Rachel said nonchalantly.
"I knew it, you have the hots for him." Arnold exclaimed as Rachel rolled her eyes and refused to signify his comment with a response as she squeezed Jesse's hand.
"Well, okay, pardon me, but is hanging out with jock-boy such a hot idea?" Arnold asked nervously as Rachel looked at him quizzically.
"Jock boy, is that the best you could do?" Jesse asked teasingly as some of the students chuckled.
"I was on the spot, give me a break." Arnold said in exasperation.
"I just heard that he's dating Tracy Campbell, you know." Arnold continued as he stole a glance at the popular girl in question. "And she uh...Right now she's giving you the look of a thousand deaths."
"She's beautiful." Rachel replied wistfully as she took a look at Tracy.
"Yeah, duh!" Arnold shot back as if it were a known fact.
"Oh…we got some lesbo action in the house!" Mark cheered as everyone giggled at Rachel and Tracy.
"She's the Duke, not me!" Tracy shouted in self defense.
"Both of you, shut up!" Jesse exclaimed as he turned to Rachel. "You're beautiful too Rachel."
"I'm not and you don't have to lie to me." Rachel whispered as she hung her head while Jesse tilted her chin to look at him.
"I'm not lying. You are beautiful, to me. Please believe me, Rachel." He pleaded as he leaned in and kissed her lips tenderly.
"I'll try." She promised as she pressed her forehand to his as she wanted to believe his word because she had no other hope.
