Hello again! I hope you enjoy this set of rules. Ten chapters, fifty rules in total! I don't really know how much rules I will set, but if you have more ideas for them, please tell me! Also, I am thinking of making a D&D fic, and sent a poll to decide which I would focus on first. Send your opinions please!
Now enjoy!
Rule 8: No modifications can be made to the hotel without Mr. Walker permission.
It was telling that Mr. Walker was speechless… The reason was seeing a pair of legs being agitated on the top of the elevator, the other half of the demigod stuck on the roof of the elevator being outside. Mr. Walker blinked again, trying to make sense of it, before looking at the demigods of Hephaestus, who at least looked sheepish about what happened.
Sighing at that, Mr. Walker decided to speak. - "So… You decided to modify the elevator while doing maintenance, trying to improve it. You didn't expect it to… Just go that fast." – Mr. Walker said, still looking at the poor demigod stuck into it. Luckily the roof was softer than the sturdy son of Ares…
When they finally got the demigod out, afterwards they needed to flee from him. Never piss off a son of Ares, they really know how to turn everything bloody with their rage.
Rule 41: If in doubt, have a demigod of Némesis mediate
It was a given that the hotel would have lots of conflicts between demigods. Nobody got to get along with everyone. So, when things got out of hand, but not enough to call the attention of Mr. Walker, the demigods decided to have something like trials, presided over the demigods of justice…
At first, they tried to do it at random, but enough complaints and the intervention of Mr. Walker had to stop that. So, instead, the trials were presided over demigods of Nemesis. The reason was that they usually could perceive the slights and conflicts, and the need of revenge and if it was equal to the crime. Their mother was the retributive justice after all.
Also, they were usually unbribable, with consequences for those who dared to try that. The last demigod who tried still flinched when he sees one of the judges.
Rule 43: Tutoring sessions won't be disrupted
All people needed help. Help to fight better, help to obtain proficiency of their powers… And the thing that the demigods usually tried to flee to the hills at the mention of it. Studies. Luckily, Mr. Walker usually dedicated part of the week to tutoring sessions for diverse classes, and the things that he didn't take on the school as they were optional, he called for experts on the know, thanks to Chiron and his really big number of contacts.
But of course, sometimes, some demigods thought it would be fun to disrupt the sessions… Although after the first time, they learned quick enough to avoid the library for "fun jokes". No matter what, having a mix of demigods proficient on their powers toy with you, is not fun at all. That is including what the Atenea kids did to them… One thing that you can't do, is put something between Atenea demigods and studies.
Never mess with the bookworms, they have the knowledge to make you pay for it.
Rule 44: Never let demigods be in confinement, even in pandemics
It was a bad moment in the hotel, with the pandemic running rampart. Why did Apolo unleash this plague now? No idea but having to keep lots of demigods inside was a challenge on itself. Normally, they aren't keen to get out, but put a prohibition on there… And they become really good at trying to form plans to get out.
The last one, involved using ropes and start going down from the roof to the outside… When the demigod was rappelling through the rope, he stopped short at seeing Mr. Walker on one window, before screaming as he was being grabbed and thrown back into the hotel forcibly.
Other demigods were pinned by silver arrows, courtesy of the hunters of Artemis, until they were taken down and kept back into the hotel. At least this was better than the time they had to check if they were using Nico as a taxi with his shadow travel, or literally ground Jason as he would try to fly away.
What a year…
Rule 49: Sick demigods needs to stay at the infirmary or their own rooms
After so much trouble, it kept coming back… And soon enough, Mr. Walker was now the full nurse of a really big bunch of demigods, along some people of Asclepius and Apolo who kept themselves healthy enough to treat the sickness. Being contained, it was a matter of going through each floor, tending to them, as they were weak and fragile…
There were problems. Always.
The Demeter floor had their plants become a venomous hazard, coming from plants they raised becoming poisonous from the bad control in the development of the plants. Hephaestus floor had things malfunctioning that could kill you if you stayed still, or a explosion or two. Apolo floor was like a sunbathing machine set to maximum potency, the one who entered was either sunburned, or with an incredible tan.
Other floors were tamer than others. Athena's floor would beg to be read a book on a difficult topic until they fell asleep, Aphrodite's wouldn't let you cross the door because they didn't want to be seen as ugly, and Artemis would take care of her hunters herself until they were healthy.
But there were three floors that were a true danger. Okay, the Hades one it wasn't truly a danger, only having to avoid Nico to phase himself through shadow travel while he slept. The Zeus one would include avoiding lighting in form of sneezes. And Poseidon's included a scuba dive gear, because the form of recovery for the son of Poseidon was to be always kept inside the pool until he was healthy.
How Chiron could treat all of them, he would never know.
