While I reference the other characters' subplots, Peter is the focus. Also, cutting their subplots gave me room for original content.

Chapter 9

Peter is back on the top of Mercury Labs, looking down on the city in his Spider-man suit, patrolling for crime. He's still depressed at the loss of the doppelgänger of Frost last week, who had been one of his friends in this universe. He soon gets a notification for a bank robbery in the city and drops down to take care of it.

He makes it to the scene and catches a police car that was about to fall on them, thrown by a man in a suit (not as high tech as and if his doppelgängers or of any Tony Starks in the Multiverse). But Peter manages to catch it just as the Flash speeds the police away.

"I'm glad you two aren't those cops who ride horses." Peter quipped.

"Now, that was fun!" The suited man stated

Just then in a puff of blue smoke from a tele-sphere (teleportation devices courtesy of Nash Wells), Allegra and Cecile appear…neither of them wearing masks.

"I am so not in the mood for this." Allegra stated, still wanting to properly mourn her friend.

Peter just stares at them for several seconds, while still holding the cop car. Shocked that they would flagrantly show their bare faces while superheroing and risk recognition.

"Why are you staring at us?" Cecile asked him, just noticing Peter staring.

Peter then stammered for a bit at how stupid they were being. He eventually puts the police car down slowly, sighs and face palms.

"I'll tell you both later back at headquarters." Peter replied.

Barry then sped up next to them.

"Alright, big guy. I'm gonna give you one chance to stand down." Barry told him.

"I'll give you one chance to beat it." The criminal replied.

"Chester, what's he wearing?" Barry asked him over the comms.

"And you just outed to the bad guy that someone named Chester helps us, Flash. We might as we take off our masks and wait for him or someone to kill us in our homes." Peter grumbled at the stupidity.

"Chester?!" Barry repeated when they didn't get an answer.

"Sorry." Chester finally responded over the coms. "Just give me a second to, um…okay, okay, I got it. The armor matches the description of an exo-suit stolen from Ivo Labs."

"Ivo! The jerk responsible for Mirakuru and that A.M.A.Z.O. robot." Peter grumbled.

"It's charged by amplifying the wearer's biochemistry, so everything from his movements to even his emotions-"

"Are fuel that makes him stronger." Barry realized.

"You both should've run away when you had the chance, Flash and Spider-Man. Now this has to happen!" The criminal states, before stomping down on the ground, causing cracks to lead towards a tall building, which shatters all the windows. A lot of civilians in the building scream in fear. While no one else was looking, Peter dropped a Spider-bot, which headed towards the criminal's legs and went up his back.

"That's a lot of people in there." Cecile states.

"Okay Flash, he just compromised two steel girders in that substructure. That building is gonna collapse." Chester explained.

"Alleg-" Barry starts to say.

"DAMMIT FLASH, DON'T USE CIVILIAN NAMES IN FRONT OF THE BAD GUY!" Peter yelled. "Sorry. Go save the building by using your lightning to weld those girders back together. We'll handle knock off accelerator suit G.I. Joe from the shitty G.I. Joe movie."

"Okay, but we're discussing this back at the la-."

"At headquarters, gotcha. Go, we may need you later."

Barry then speeds away as the others deal with the criminal.

"Okay, let's do a classic corral and contain." Chester told them.

"Actually, his suit should be deactivated right about…now."

"What are you talking about?" The criminal said, before he walked up to Peter and was about to punch him. But Peter easily caught it. "What?! That should have at least broke your hand!"

"Like I said, your armor has been shut down." Peter replied, as the Spider-bot made its way from the criminal, along the arm the Peter held, and back to Peter.

"The hell is that?!" The criminal exclaimed at the sight.

"Spider-bot, helpful when it comes to hacking tech based villains. And since that suit was your only ace in the whole…" he replied before webbing the criminal's feet to ground while he started whistling his theme song. The criminal tried to punch Peter again, but he just created weblines to the ground for both arms. Peter then put his fingers to the side of his mask. "Hey Flash, when you're done, mind phasing this guy out of his suit?"

Less than a minute later, Barry complied.

"He's all yours, officers." Barry told the police before speeding away.

Peter followed suit and swung away and Allegra and Cecile used another tele-sphere to disappear.

Later that day, they reunite (minus Caitlin) back at the Cortex, looking up the criminal.

"Perps name is Mark Desmond. A janitor at Ivo Labs before they fired him. Guess he stole the suit as his twisted way of severance pay." Chester told them.

"One of my C.C.C. reporters are calling him "Blockbuster."" Iris told them.

"Because his janitorial and criminal career are also out of business?" Peter asked jokingly.

"No, because he nearly destroyed a city block."

"Yeah, but most people who were around during the '00s or earlier are most likely going to also think of the other one."

"We need to talk. We're all still pretty messed up about Frost and that's been affecting us." Barry noted.

"With any normal job, we would take time off to grieve. But with Team Flash-" Iris stated.

"This isn't a normal job-"

"But it kinda is." Joe pointed out. "We still have the C.C.P.D. We can take a break to grieve."

"In a perfect world, it would be great to take some time off. God knows we all need it, but at any moment, we could have something worse. And whether we like it or not, we're this city's first line of defense."

That didn't stop Caitlin from recently vacationing with Marcus or any of the extreme getaways Frost had with Mark. Peter thought. Then again, Barry and I were still protecting the city. This time, Barry is talking about all of us.

"We all saw what happened out there. If it has been Bloodwork or Despero? Frost is gone. And we all need to mourn her, but we also need to find a way to protect this city." Barry continued.

"Didn't realize we were having a team meeting." Caitlin said as she walked into the room.

"We figured you might need some alone time." Iris said, trying to sound supportive.

"It's fine. I haven't been sleeping very much, so I could use the distraction." She replied, sounding like a mix of depression and anger.

"Are you sure? I mean, I know you must be dealing with a lot. And I know how hard it can be to organize a funeral." Barry pointed, trying to seem reassuring.

"Actually, my mom is handling all the arrangements."

"Okay. I mean, if that's what you want, but we're all happy to pitch in-"

"Like I said, my mom's got it covered. But if you've got a problem with that, feel free to give her a call, offer your help. 'Cause I'm not going to any damn funeral!" She replied, a tad angrier. She was even angrier with that last sentence, before she stormed out of the room.

"Caitlin-" Barry said as he tried to go after her.

"Barry," Joe said, stopping him from following. "Give her some space."

"Dad, she's hurting." Iris replied.

"Baby girl, I know. We all are. But like Barry said…we just lost a family member, and that pain will keep us from protecting those in need. It will cloud everyone we do until we have it and heal."

"Yeah, but how are we supposed to do that?" Chester asked.

"By honoring Frost. Look, I just…took watercolor classes at the community center because Frost made me promise that I would try to express myself through art. And I got to admit, when I saw the first canvas…"Joe said as he (as well as the rest of the team) got misty eyed. But he was starting to well up as he was about to finish his sentence. "...I felt Frost smiling down on me. And we all have to find our own ways to honor her, 'cause it is the only way we are going to heal as a family."

Peter thinks about what Joe just said and he has an idea on how to honor Frost.

"He's right. Let's take a break, try to honor Frost. We'll reconvene after the funeral." Barry told them. "But before we do, one last piece of Team Flash business. Peter, why did you yell at me in front of Blockbuster?"

Peter then sighs and tries to compose himself, so that he can make a sound and logical argument. "I'm sorry that I yelled. I was angry at how lax the team was when it came to secret identities." The team looked at him confused. "Allegra and Cecile went out into the field without masks, aiding the Flash and Spider-Man. It was one thing evacuating the campers in Piedmont State Park, since it was dark and the forest. But they were in the middle of the street, where Blockbuster, the police, civilians, and C.C.T.V. cameras could have seen you. I'm honestly surprised that you didn't have this conversation with them before, considering it was you who made Oliver's first mask and it was one of the first pieces of advice that he gave you as a superhero."

"Peter, it's unlikely that we would have been recognized." Allegra stated.

"The police were there. Cecile is a former D.A. and you are a former criminal. They could have linked you both back to Barry with your job at the Central City Citizen, working for his wife and Cecile, through her relationship to his father-in-law/foster father."

"But the police are our allies."

"But not all of them. A few years ago, the team had to deal with one that was working for Cicada. Joe, you've been in law enforcement long enough to have seen your fair share of corrupt cops or know that it has a long history."

As much as Joe doesn't want to admit it, he nods in agreement.

"You yelled at me just as I was about to say their names." Barry realized.

"Considering that you did the same with Chester over the coms. Some police do know that Chester has aided you at crime scenes, like Cisco has and that S.T.A.R. Labs often works with The Flash. But they need to start using codenames, maybe even Chester. There's a reason why Oliver started calling Felicity Overwatch while he was out in the field."

"You're right. After the funeral, we need to be better at protecting our identities. So, unless it's a big emergency, let's take a break. I can have Gideon monitor the city just in case." Barry tells them, before leaving the room. Peter soon follows him.

"Hey, one more thing, it's more of a personal matter. Could I use one of the spare labs no one uses?"

"You don't want to work with Chester anymore?"

"Oh no, I just want some space so I can honor Frost."

"Sure, okay."

The next day

Peter was walking through the Labs after taking a snack break from honoring Frost. He saw Chester and Allegra putting a drunk Mark Blaine on a bed in the Med Lab. He also saw that one of the ways they were honoring Frost was displaying her first jacket as a Heroin the Hall of Fallen Heroes. As much as Peter tries to deny it, he remembers hearing that jacket hit the floor every time he and Frost's doppelgänger…well, you know. He's about to pass by the Speedlab, when he hears an odd whirring sound. He goes in to find Barry sculpting ice with a chainsaw into an ice sculpture of a big snowflake.

"Ice sculpting?" Peter asked as he entered the room.

Barry sees him enter and turns off the chainsaw. "Yeah, it was on Frost's bucket list, here." He replies as he hands Peter the piece of paper, which Peter then reads.

""Build a snowman atop Mount Everest," "White water rafting," ok. "Have my art displayed in the Louvre (?)" Barry then hands him his phone, which displays a web page for a news article about a piece of Frost's art suddenly appearing on display on the Louvre and theories that it was the Flash in an attempt to honor his friend and ally. "Huh, cool. "Win a hotdog eating contest (?)" He then read. "Since it's crossed off, you completed it?"

"Yep, C.C.P.D. had one a few hours ago and I won." Barry said with pride.

"Isn't it cheating with your powers?"

"I ate each hot dog at the same pace as a human."

"But with your super hunger, there isn't an eating contest on Earth that would make you full."

"True, but it was for Frost."

Peter then sighs. "Okay, God knows she wouldn't care about nitpicks like that."

"What about you? Why'd you ask for a spare lab?"

"I can show you when you're done ice sculpting."

"I'll just be another minute."

A few minutes later, Peter led Barry to the spare lab he chose.

"Who's was this?" Barry asked.

"Hartley Rathaway's." Peter replied, which made Barry chuckle. Peter opened the door for Barry, revealing that the inner entrance was covered by a black curtain. "Make sure not to let any light from the hallway inside."

Barry complied. He walked in to find it dark, but still lit by a small red light. Tables with trays, gloves, and various chemical containers. Barry also noticed a clothesline with pictures being hung from them.

"Is this a dark room?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, I used to take photos before I became Spider-Man." Peter Explained. "Hell, I used to make a living selling photos of Spider-Man by sticking my camera to hidden places and using the timer. Joe's speech made me want to try again for fun. So, yesterday, I found a shop that sells cameras, film, and equipment and have been taking pictures and developing the film."

"Why not go digital?"

"There's something soothing for me about developing the pictures, the science behind it. Plus it feels like I put more effort into making them."

Barry looked at the various pictures being hung. Many were selfies of Peter swinging and jumping throughout the city as Spider-Man, others were of different parts of the city. Barry recognized many of the pictures of the city, but one seemed to stand out, especially because it was clearly shot at sunset to get the orange lighting.

"Isn't that the waterfront?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, in my universe, that's where I proposed to Caitlin and Frost. A few years ago, we went back there on our anniversary and just stood there to watch the sunset."

"I'd say the same, but I proposed to Iris in our loft." Barry replied, not seeing Peter roll his eyes with his back to him. "How have you been?"

"As well as I can. I know she wasn't my Frost, but it still hurts as if it was. It also doesn't help that I blame myself for her death, since I helped bring Deathstorm here."

"Hey-" Barry said, trying to sound reassuring.

"If I had just let you capture it in the Cold-Fusion Sphere, none of this would have happened."

"You thought you were saving Ronnie. The only one responsible for Frost's death is Deathstorm and Deathstorm alone. And as for your feelings about losing her; well, she was your friend. You probably confided in her more than anyone else." He replied, reassuringly, before realizing something. "If you need to, you can always talk to me about anything. Want to grab some coffee at Jitters?"

"Yeah, okay." He replied.

The two superheroes left the lab and started walking down the hallway to the elevator.

"I've been meaning to ask, I noticed part of a new suit in the lab you shared with Chester and it looks Spider-Man related as opposed to The Flash."

"Oh, that's the Velocity Suit. It's supposed to make me faster. Not as fast as you, but if another evil speedster or If Thawne returns, I can help you take them down."

"Well, I took Thawne's speed away a few months ago, but it certainly doesn't hurt to be prepared. Hell, after Eddie stopped him seven years ago, I certainly didn't anticipate other speedster villains like Zoom, Savitar, or Godspeed."

They were about to pass by the entrance to the cortex, when they heard yelling from within. They go in to see Mark Blaine crashing into equipment in the med Lab attached to the Cortex, recovering from his hangover.

"How long were you in there?" Barry asked him.

"I was hoping you could tell me." Mark replied.

"I saw you in here, unconscious, about ten minutes ago, but that's not very helpful." Peter stated.

"Hey, you mind telling the contractors that were working earlier to knock off all the damn hammering."

"You mean our footsteps?"

"Oh, great. Guess I overdid it on the bourbon…and the tequila…and the vodka."

"Don't really know. Because of our powers, Barry and I can't get drunk…except for this stuff Cisco made for us and I personally haven't had any since his farewell party and that was about 2 months ago. Otherwise, the only other alternative is alien alcohol from Al's Dive Bar in National." Peter stated as Barry gave Mark some aspirin pills and a bottle of water.

"What's that?" Mark asked, noticing a bit of paper sticking out of Barry's front shirt pocket.

"Frost's bucket list." Barry replied as he handed the list to Mark.

"Did you do all of these already?" He asked in surprise.

Barry nodded before asking, "How are you doing?"

He sighs in depression. "I never even got to tell her how I felt."

I doubt she would have reciprocated, based on what she told me. Peter thought.

"Did she ever tell you about the time that she signed us up for a couples teach team wrestling tournament?" Mark asked them, which Peter raised his eyebrow at.

Again, did you want to do stuff like that, Crystal? Peter thought, missing his wife. Then again, we did spar with each other and fight crime side-by-side.

Barry and Peter shake their heads as their reply to his question.

"I mean, we crushed it, obviously." Mark continued to tell them. "But then she gave our championship belts away to some kids at the ramen joint where we were celebrating."

"'Cause it wasn't about winning. It was about the experience." Barry realized.

"You gonna do the same with your hotdog eating contest trophy?" Peter teased Barry.

"Yes, I will." Barry replied.

"You really knew her well." Mark said to Barry because of what he said.

"I thought so, yeah."

Me too. Peter thought.

"I also…thought finishing this list would be a way to honor her memory, but even with them crossed off…it still doesn't feel complete." Barry told them.

"Look, man, as wild and crazy as her list for adventure was, what my snowflake lived for, more than the thrills, was taking care of the people she loved." Mark replied. "That's what she really wanted to do with her life. Hell, she was literally born to be Caitlin's savior. She never lost sight of that."

After hearing that, Barry makes a realization. "I know how to honor Frost's memory. But right now it seems impossible."

"What's impossible for the Flash?"

"You're right. Well, before I can, do you want to…" Barry was about to ask, before noticing that Peter was subtly shaking his "no" with his eyes wide.

Peter knew that Barry was about to invite him to Jitters and it would be a cold day in hell before Peter would hang out with the toxic, ex-criminal boyfriend of his late friend/doppelgänger of one of his wives. Then again, Frost could make hell cold…but he still didn't want to hang out with Mark.

"...head to Jitters? Peter would join us, but he has to-" Barry told him.

"But I have to talk to a friend about the funeral." Peter interrupted.

"You are?" Barry asked. Peter gave him a "go with it" look. "I mean, yes, you are."

"Yeah, I'm assuming based on what Mark just said, you're gonna convince Caitlin to come to the funeral." Peter asked, Barry nodded, much to Mark's surprise. "I'm gonna invite a friend of mine and Frost's to the funeral."

As much as Peter would have liked to be the one to cheer up Caitlin and convince her to come to the funeral, he believed that Barry would have better success. His time here helped show that in this universe, they were greater friends than in his.

"She introduced you to Frankie, huh?" Mark asked.

"Yeah, how'd you know?" Peter asked.

"Frost didn't have any other friends aside from her and this team."

"Well…through the Flash, she does know Supergirl, Superman, Batwoman, Team Arrow, and the Legends. Think any of them will come to the funeral, Barry?"

"I actually haven't heard if they're coming." Barry told him. "So, who's Frankie?"

"You met her four and a half years ago…she can control mental."

"Wait, Frankie Kane? Your adopted daughter in your timeline?"

""Timeline?"" Mark repeated.

Peter sighed at Barry's slip of the tongue. "Yes, I am from another timeline and Barry's team has been trying to help me get back."

"Huh, okay." Mark shrugs off.

"Anyway, I'm going to invite Frankie. Enjoy your coffee." Peter told them as he exited the lab. On his way to the elevator, he pulls out his phone and makes a call. "Hey, Carla?... Any chance I can invite someone to the funeral?... let's just say it's an old friend of Caitlin and Frost's."

Ten minutes later, Peter's Uber dropped him off outside of MM Good Donuts. He walked in to see Frankie behind the counter.

"Hey, Peter. Haven't seen you in a while. But with that Deathstorm guy and the murders, I don't blame you. I heard about Frost." Frankie said to him, trying to sound sympathetic.

"Thanks. That's actually why I came. Her funeral is in two days and I thought you'd want to come." Peter told her. She raised her eyebrow. "Not as a date!" He said immediately. "But I figured since you were her friend."

"Oh, of course I will. Give me your phone." She asked him. Peter raised an eyebrow. "To give you my number so you can text me when and where, but if you also need a friendly ear." She said, noticing he looked a little depressed as she put her number in his phone. "How have you been? Cried yet?"

"When I first got the news, yeah."

"What about a hug? When I lost my parents as a kid, the social worker was nice enough to give me a hug while I cried into her shoulder. Hell, I cried and hugged Barry after he talked me out of nearly killing John James, my second to most recent foster father. Mostly because I hadn't cried about all the abuse he did to me."

"I'm sorry to hear." He replied. It wasn't a lie. He hated what John James did to her in his timeline. He felt sorry for his Frankie and he felt sorry for this one. He did feel sad that when it came to helping her from becoming a killer, it was Barry that helped her. He almost wished that Barry could have adopted her in this timeline.

Peter started to break. His sadness about the death of Frost had opened the floodgates of depression he had been feeling for over a month. His sadness about being away from his family, his Frost, his Caitlin, his Frankie, Tommy, Tina, the baby he and Frost were having, May, Miles, even leftover depression of Cisco leaving Central. Peter was crying and Frankie gave him a hug, which he accepted.

Two days later…

Team Flash greeted and consoled each other at the funeral. Peter wore a black dress suit he had bought the other day. As he noted the other day, no one from Star City, National, Metropolis, Gotham, or Smallville were there, not even Cisco and Kamilla. He did see Kristen Kramer there, not that he was enthusiastic to see her there. Especially when a year prior, she tried to get Frost imprisoned. It felt like Umbridge attending Dumbledore's funeral at the end of "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince." He saw Carla, who he of course consoled. Frost had an open casket. She was in a beautiful black and silver dress and her hair and lips were back to their usual white and blue. Peter thought she looked beautiful.

Frankie walked in a minute before the service, wearing something black that also fit her pregnant belly. She was nervous to see Barry, Caitlin and the rest of Team Flash after all these years. She's about to head in when a woman accidentally bumps into her.

"Sorry." The woman apologized.

When Frankie turns to see who it was only to discover…

"Caitlin?" Frankie asked.

Caitlin looks at her, at first in confusion, but then her eyes widen as she begins to recognize her.

"Frankie? Oh my God! It's been so long!" Caitlin exclaimed, giving her a hug.

"Nearly five years."

"What are you doing here?"

"Peter invited me."

"Peter Parker?"

"That's the one. Frost introduced me to him awhile back. They basically became my friends as of late."

Caitlin could see that. She remembered when Peter told his life story, that Frankie's doppelgänger was Peter's foster daughter. It didn't surprise her that Frost would try to somewhat reunite them. She was a kind person, disguised as a rebellious badass.

"Wow, you're a woman now. You're even pregnant." Caitlin exclaimed with happiness.

"No, I'm a surrogate to earn money." Frankie explained.

"Oh, I see."

"Did you just get here? I would have thought you'd be one of the first to arrive."

"I've been reluctant to come. It would mean that she's truly gone."

"She's not really dead. Not as long as we remember her."

"Yeah, Barry said something similar earlier."

"Oh, I was paraphrasing a quote from "Wrath of Khan.""

Caitlin made a small chuckle. After mourning for over a week, the girl she met over four years ago helped her smile.

"Hey, if I hold your hand, will you walk in there with me? At the very least, we'll cause a scandal." Frankie said, reassuringly.

Caitlin laughed again.

"I don't know why, but you're a lot like Peter." Caitlin stated.

The two walk into the room for Frost's funeral. Peter and Barry are the first to notice them, followed by the rest of the mourners. Peter then turns to Barry. He realizes that Barry succeeded and so, he gives Barry a smirk and a subtle thumbs up. Caitlin goes up to the podium (taking a deep breath before giving her speech), as Frankie goes to sit next to Peter.

"Most of you know that I did not want to be here today." Caitlin began to say. "Not at first. I was afraid that seeing her here would make her death seem more real. And I was scared. You see, Frost was always the fearless Snow sister. Like that time she went swimming with sharks and picked a fight with a shark." She said, which made everyone smile. "Or when she was at Jitters for their slam poetry open mic night and just grabbed the mic and read a poem she'd scribbled on a napkin five minutes before."

Peter remembered taking his Frost to that a few years ago, while May babysat the twins. He remembered her berating him to not recite the slam poetry from "So I Married an Axe Murderer" before they headed in. He remembered her seeing her write the poem and performing it. He remembered how beautiful it was and how beautiful she was performing it.

"See, Frost was always honest." Caitlin continued to tell them, before starting to break. "And the truth is…" She says a little misty eyed before looking at Frost in her casket. "I thought that if I saw my sister laying here…that I would have to say goodbye. But then…some friends of mine reminded me that…that's not true." She says, specifically looking at Barry and Frankie at that moment. "That she lives in all of us, not just in me. In her selflessness, her unique way of seeing the world, and her deep love for her family and friends. So if we keep those parts of her alive in us, then she's not really gone, and I can't think of a better way to honor her memory."

She then leaves the podium and heads to the casket to look at her sister.

"I'll keep you alive, Frost. I promise." Caitlin tells her.

Peter wasn't sure why, but something about what Caitlin just said made him feel uneasy.

Barry then gets up to stand next to her, followed by Peter and Frankie, then Carla, the rest of Team Flash, and then the rest of the mourners look at the deceased.

Later that day…

The wake was being held at the West House (Mark is noticeably absent). Joe points out a stain on the curtains, because it relates to Frost..

"It normally works." Joe protested.

"Dad, what were you thinking?" Iris asked in confusion.

"Look, bleach takes out stains, and the curtains were dirty, so-"

"I'm sorry, but no! No!" Cecile interrupted, laughing at what her boyfriend did. "This whole retirement thing, he's still new at it." She tried explaining to their guests.

"Look, this the cleanest spot in the whole house, and I would have done a whole lot more if Frost hadn't taken my cleaning supplies for her collages."

"Was there a reason she didn't buy her own?" Frankie asked.

"Convenience, mostly. Don't worry Joe, I've made similar mistakes like that when washing clothes…back in college." Peter replied, remembering washing his old Spider-Man suit with his whites and accidentally making his shirts and undies pink with hints of blue.

"Yeah, I still don't know how she carried that stuff while ice-bridging across town." Allegra remarked.

"She didn't. People were finding sponges and yellow gloves for miles." Chester replied. "Actually, I think Wild Dog used one of Joe's mops as a bo staff."

"Really?" Joe remarked.

Everyone laughed at that.

"This feels good, remembering Frost like this." Caitlin remarked. "Your advice worked, Joe."

"That had more to do with you than me."

"It was a beautiful eulogy." Frankie told Caitlin.

"More than anything we did to honor Frost, you helped us heal today." Barry also told her. "Thanks for putting us back together."

"I didn't make it easy on you guys, so thanks for telling me what I needed to hear anyway." She replied.

Later as the wake was winding down and people were leaving, Peter noticed Caitlin on her phone. Before he went to bed that night, he felt that something bad was about to happen, but he wasn't sure what. He felt that soon he might never see Caitlin again.

That night, Frankie was having odd dreams. It had been years since she had dreams about nearly killing John. But tonight was different. It kept changing from Barry talking her down, to Peter as Spider-Man, talking her down. How different it felt.

She woke up in a cold sweat. She then went to the bathroom in her apartment, splashing cold water to see if that helped. She was also starting to realize that she had strong feelings for Peter, but they weren't sexual or romantic. She wasn't sure why, but she then remembered being in a metal room that looked like the interior of a spaceship. There, she gave Peter a hug, they were both glad to be reunited. Near the end of the memory or dream, she called him "Dad."

Frost woke up. She sat up and looked at her surroundings. She was in what looked like a bleak and gray ghetto of a city.

"Caitlin?" Asked a voice.

She looked at the source and discovered it was Ronnie Raymond.

"Ronnie?" She replied.

"It's good to see you again." He replies, trying to hug her, but she rejects it.

"Technically, I've only seen you when you were Deathstorm and I'm not Caity. My name is Frost, her sister."

"She never mentioned a sister when I was alive."

"She wouldn't have. Technically I was a second personality she had, created by her father as an attempt to cure A.L.S. and then we both became separate people, thanks to a duplication gun."

"Ah, well then, it's a pleasure to meet you." He replied, shaking her hand."

"Ronald! Crystal!" Said a familiar voice.

They turn to see a group of people approach them. Frost recognized that they were dead people she either knew or knew of. She recognized Martin Stein, Henry and Nora Allen, Thomas and Martha Wayne, Jonathan and Martha Kent, Quentin and Laurel Lance, Jeremiah Danvers, Robert Queen, Rebecca Merlyn, Gabi Kane, Amaya Jiwe, and Francine West. But she also recognized villains like Hunter Zolomon, Clifford DeVoe, Orlin Dwyer, Adrian Chase, Malcolm Merlyn, Evelyn Sharp, Isabel Rochev, and Vandal Savage. The rest, Frost didn't recognize. DeVoe was still in a wheelchair and he, Malcolm, Evelyn, Isabel, Hunter, and Adrian had big black boards on wheels chained to them.

"Ha! Another hero, bit the dust!" Exclaimed Hunter wickedly, before clutching his head in pain and screaming.

"You know what that means, Hunter." Stein pointed out.

"Yeah, yeah." He replied begrudgingly before starting to write multiple times on the black board "people=good."

"What just happened?" Caitlin asked them.

"Perhaps I should start by explaining everything." Stein told them. "You died, you're in hell."

Frost looks shocked by this. "What?!"

"You're dead-"

"I got that part. I know I wasn't a saint or religious, but saving the city and helping Flash save the world a dozen times doesn't earn me a spot in heaven?"

"Mostly babies (because they're innocents) get in. Sometimes Nuns, Monks, and Friars. Without realizing, even the nicest person can do bad by buying vegetables because of pesticides or contribute to a corporation that doesn't at least do something bad. But don't get me wrong, it's only bad for bad people. As you can see DeVoe, Hunter, Malcolm, Chase and the others are being punished for what they did."

"For regular people like some of us, it can be a little annoying. Like sleeping on a bed with bed bugs or eating mid quality food." Henry told her.

"But for heroes, it's less annoying." Stein explained.

"Since I tried to redeem myself and learned my lesson, I'm somewhat in the middle of bad guy and normal person." Orlin Dwyer explained.

"Though I learned to be a better person here thanks to Ray Palmer." Vandal Savage said with glee.

"Okay, I can understand if Dwyer and Savage are here because they're friends or something. Even Mick has become an anti-hero at least. But why are DeVoe, Chase, and the other villains hanging out with you guys, here?" Frost asked.

"Well, victims or friends and families of the victims or even minorities can punish bad guys. The other day, I kicked Hitler in his privates." Stein explained (the last sentence with joy). "Robert, why don't you show them?" He then told Robert Queen.

"Gladly." Robert replied before going over and slapping Adrian Chase.

"Ah! This is all Oliver Queen's fault!" Adrian Chase exclaimed in pain, before screaming in pain again.

"Oh, shut up, Simon! He was right to kill us, we're horrible people!" Said a man in the group that Frost didn't recognize.

"What's with the black boards and the sudden outbursts of pain?" Frost asked.

"Bad guys like them get an electric shock every time they say or think something evil. Some have black boards chained to them and they have to write down several times on the black board a lesson they need to learn until the board is full and they can't cheat by writing it very big." Stein explained as Adrian Chase grumbled while he wrote "Oliver Queen is a good man and a hero" several times. "Other than that, you'll get the jist eventually."

"Writing on black boards doesn't seem so bad."

"We automatically have arthritis here." Malcolm Merlyn told her.

"Ahhh!"

"Well, it's good to see you again, Professor!" Ronnie exclaimed as he hugged his old friend.

"Wait, why are you acting as if you two are reuniting?" Frost asked in confusion.

"Um, Frost, I just died. I got here an hour before you did."

"What, but that was-"

"When you killed Deathstorm. I was still in my body, but Deathstorm was at the wheel."

"Oh God. Oh my God, Ronnie I'm so sorry!"

"It's ok, you didn't know. What matters is that Caitlin and Peter are alive and safe."

"You know Peter? How? I thought You were the Ronnie Raymond from our timeline?"

"You'll understand soon. I lost my memories too. It came back a few minutes after I got here. Yours should be back fairly soon."

"Huh? I don't understand."

"You will."

"How about until then, introductions." Stein stated. "You of course remember DeVoe, Dwyer and Amaya Jiwe. You may recognize Henry and Nora from pictures Barry or Joe may have shown you or because their doppelgänger is Jay and Joan Garrick and the Speedforce has often appeared in Nora's guise. You may have seen pictures of Francine West, Jeremiah Danvers, Gabi Kane, Jonathan and Martha Kent from old pictures from Joe, Iris, Kate Kane, Kara, and Clark. Maybe you've seen pictures of Robert Queen and Thomas and Martha Wayne online. You probably remember Clifford DeVoe and Orlin Dwyer and recognize Adrian Chase, Malcolm Merlyn, Evelyn Sharp, Isabel Rochev, and Vandal Savage. The man who yelled at Adrian is his father: Justin Claybourne. We also have Adrian's wife: Doris. The fiancé of the real Harrison Wells, Tess Morgan. And the rest are Frankie's birth parents: Terry and Jamie Kane, Ray's former fiancé: Anna Loring, and Peter's family: His parents, Richard and Mary Parker, and his Uncle Ben Parker."

"Where are Clark's birth parents or Kara's Aunt or anyone that died on Krypton?" Frost asked.

"They get their afterlife in Rao's light. All aliens get their own afterlife based on their religion there." Jeremiah explained.

"You can visit, but it's a lot of paperwork. If you love an alien, you can live with them in their afterlife, and vice versa. Same goes for speedsters, but the Speedforce has to approve that he or she is the lightning rod of their speedster. Most likely what will happen with Kara and Winn and Barry and Patty." Stein explained.

"Patty? But Barry is married to Iris. And where's the Peter of this timeline or H.R.? they're supposed to be dead." Frost asked.

"Peter's not dead." Laurel pointed out.

"Nor is H.R." Amaya replied.

"Yes he is. Barry and Chester went to his grave and Barry phased into his coffin to get some D.N.A. to compare the alternate timeline Peter. And Barry, Iris, and Joe saw Savitar kill him to take Iris' place." Frost explained. H.R.'s death had been on her conscience for the last four years

"You'll remember soon enough." Ronnie said.

"Ronnie, Crystal, it's nice to meet one of our son's best friends and wives." Richard Parker said.

"We weren't sure at first about Peter marrying two women, but considering you were originally Caitlin's second personality, we've let it slide. Besides, Peter loves you and you and Caitlin love him. What matters is that you're all happy." Mary Parker stated.

"Again, I'm not his Frost. And why did you call me Crystal?" Frost asked.

"That's your name, Crystal Frost. You chose it after months of going undercover in Amunet Black's organization and before you reunited with Peter and Team SpiderFlash." Stein explained.

"Look, it's nice to meet Peter's family. But I'm not his wife. Hell, I was dating this guy named Mark before I met him. I would've liked to have been Peter's Frost, but I'm not-" She replies before pausing.

That was when a flood of memories hit her.

Fighting with Team SpiderFlash (most notably, with Peter as Spider-Man).

Peter, not Barry trying to prove she's not a killer.

Saving Peter and Miles from a fire.

Peter, not Cisco, who she fought in the forest.

Getting abducted to the other universe and meeting his doppelgängers.

Kissing him.

Falling in love with him.

Stopping Amunet's metahuman trafficking with Peter, Miles, and Deadpool.

"Sparing" with Peter.

Fighting villains alongside him and Team SpiderFlash (including Frankie and Miles).

Being an Aunt/second mom to Frankie.

Post-Crisis memories of Barry dating and marrying Patty Spivot.

Reuniting with Peter after DeVoe suppressed her.

Making up with Peter after he helped her see why the meta cure is a good thing and why Caitlin would never use it on her.

Helping Wade reunite with Vanessa, with help from Peter, Frankie and Miles.

Her and Caitlin becoming pregnant with Peter's children.

A version of the crisis with Peter and his doppelgängers.

Barry, not his Earth-90 doppelgänger, vanishing in the Crisis.

Being resurrected Post-Crisis.

Barry and Patty renewing their vows.

Marrying Peter.

Her and Caitlin giving birth to Tommy and Tina.

Being an aunt/second mom to the twins.

Becoming her own self by a duplication spell, not a duplication gun, and meeting his doppelgängers during the Battleworld situation.

Feeling unloved, loved, and making love on Valentine's Day.

Becoming pregnant with her own child.

Being blinded by a blue light after Peter vanished and waking up with Mark.

But overall, it was Peter Parker, not Mark Blaine, who she loved.

"I remember, now." She said with tears in her eyes. "I love Peter! I'm his wife!"

"See, I told you you'd remember." Ronnie pointed out.

"No, but, why did I? How did I forget that I'm married to Peter and Barry is married to Patty? And-" She then realized something. She then put her hand on her stomach. "I was pregnant. What happened to my baby?!" She nearly screamed.

"Well, I can check." Stein informed her. "We still have cell phones and computers, but loading web pages takes a long time and…" He says as he checks his phone. The phone makes the old dial up tone. "... that. Anyway, I don't see a baby listed as dead, not even listed as having you and Peter as birth parents."

"Well, where is my-" She exclaims before realizing. "Frankie. She's pregnant with a surrogate, but she never said who. She's carrying my baby!"

"Hold on, both of you recently died, have different memories that you are now remembering, the baby you were pregnant with is now being carried by your foster daughter, you thought that H.R. Wells was dead, and Barry is married to Iris again? What is going on here?" Quentin Lance asked.

"She's not even my foster daughter there, she's been on her own. Something happened on Earth to change how we were. Hell, a month ago Peter was like a ghost. Something has happened to us."

"Glad to hear. Ahhh!" Isabel said sarcastically before screaming in pain.

"It must have been for some kind of gain. God knows I tried to change reality with magic or deals with demons to get priestess Chay-Ara to fall in love with me." Vandal Savage told them.

"Like the Spear of Destiny, that Eobard Thawne and the Legion of Doom used to change reality for their benefits." Stein pointed out. "But Sara depowered it, so it can't be that. Although, that was Pre-Crisis. Lord knows if it still functions Post-Crisis."

"But who is responsible and why were most of the changes with Team SpiderFlash?" Frost asked.

But it was then that she remembered something else. All the toxic shit Mark Blaine did to her. Even all the times she kissed or had sex with Mark. Except she loves Peter and has for about a decade. She ordinarily would never have sex with Mark while still being in love with Peter. She would never cheat on Peter, not even between their fight and apology on Valentine's Day.

"It's Mark. It's got to be. That motherfucker changed reality to make me love him, despite being in love with Peter! That asshole basically raped me!" Frost exclaimed.

"Is it just him? You said it yourself that Barry was actually married to Patty, not Iris." Ronnie pointed out.

"Oh no, my Iris might not be a saint, but she would never do anything like that. Especially when she had Eddie." Francine West stated

Frost then makes another realization. "Wait, John Constantine, last we heard from him, he was fighting a demon or something, here in hell."

"Yes, I see him every now and then. If you're thinking about having him warn Team SpiderFlash, he can't unless it's through a seance. I tried having him send a message to Clarissa, Lily, and Ronald." Stein said, much to the confusion of Ronnie. "Oh, not you, my grandson is named after you."

"Oh, nice." Ronnie replied.

"Well, at the least, we can inform him that Barry and Peter have been trying to contact him for about a month. At the very least, he might have the magic know-how to undo what happened or knows someone who does." Frost tells them.

"It'll take a while. Hell isn't exactly small." Thomas Wayne stated.

"We should still do it. God knows what else Mark could do to them."

"If it means helping Peter, we're with you." Ben Parker told her. "Plus, there's not a lot to do here."

"I might know a demon or two who can help us find him." Vandal Savage told her.

"Lead the way." Frost stated.

"Do we have to come too?" DeVoe asked.

"Yes!" Frost and Robert Queen said in unison as they then each grabbed Hunter and Malcolm by an earlobe (same for the rest of the good guys to the bad guys who didn't comply. Anna took joy in pulling Isabel's earlobe) and they started following Vandal Savage to find John Constantine and undo the changes on Earth.

A/N: Told you this story would deal with touchy subjects.

Yes, Frankie is pregnant with Aster. I briefly considered killing him to be another consequence of the changes, but that would have been too cruel, even if fictionally. I also considered leaving the reveal for when Frankie found out in a few chapters.

Yeah, it was dumb that the show had Allegra and Cecile help The Flash, in public, where civilians could have recognized them.

Hell is partially based on what we've seen on "Legends of Tomorrow," some inspiration from "The Good Place" (again, if you haven't seen the show, I highly recommend it), "South Park" (especially how only a small majority go to heaven and the rest go to hell) and some things I made up.

While Stein does get resurrected Post-Crisis in What If Universe's stories and I had him cameo at Peter and Caitlin/Frost's wedding, I just had him die again (probably around 2020-2021, sometime between crisis and this story) because I didn't know where else to put him since he's still dead in the Arrowverse.

I know Blockbuster gets away at the beginning to show so that the team needs a vacation and gets their heads on straight. But Peter has already been through a lot of deaths of loved ones.

I couldn't find the names of Frankie's birth parents (even in the comics), so I used the first names of Joey King's real parents.

I was gonna add Leonard Snart, but he died in the future, so he technically wouldn't be in hell yet.
