It had been a while since Gwen returned to the Inkwell Isles after her adventure in Australia and befriending her new student Merindah and granted her powers to protect her home and people.

Gwen was out planting flowers in her flower garden with her friend Cagney Carnation and her cousin Virgil.

"What do you think of these hydrangea flowers?" Gwen asked.

Cagney looked at the light blue and light purple flowers Gwen planted.

"They're beautiful. Any flower we plant is perfect." Cagney complimented.

"Every flower has their own beauty." Virgil said.

"You got that right." Cagney agreed.

Cagney grew some smaller anthropomorphic flowers, and they run off towards the woods.

"Amazing your flowers are alive when you grow them." Virgil complimented.

"Thank you. I didn't know Gwen had a cousin who loves gardening." Cagney said.

"I did not know she had a friend who is literally a flower." Virgil said.

"You and I are gonna get along just fine." Cagney said.

"So nice to see you made a friend Virgil." Gwen complimented.

"Thanks, Gwen." Virgil thanked.

After finishing up gardening, Virgil left to pick up Cordelia for their date while Gwen and Cagney returned home. Gwen joins her family for dinner and heads upstairs to bed. She's greeted by her friends the butterfly, her flower, Cerulean Bolt and Jack-in-the-Box.

Gwen prepares for bed when she noticed the magazine featuring the Russian Ballet.

"Oh, I wonder how Tatiana's coming along with Swan Lake?" Gwen asked herself.

Gwen grabs her magical telephone and dials a number.

In St. Petersburg, Russia, Tatiana is at home resting after a long day of rehearsal. Suddenly, her mother Katya enters her room.

"Tatiana! Kto -to prizyvayet vas!" Katya said 'there was someone calling for her' in Russian.

"Voz?" Tatiana asked 'who'.

"Kakaya -to amerikanskaya devushka." Katya answered, 'Some American girl'.

Tatiana's eyes popped, realizing who was calling her. She gets up and goes to the telephone.

"Privet?" Tatiana greeted.

"Tatiana? Is that you?" Gwen asked.

"Gwen?" Tatiana asked.

"Da." Gwen answered in Russian.

"I was hoping you'd call." Tatiana said.

"I was wondering how things are going. Are you and the company ready to perform Swan Lake yet?" Gwen asked.

"We're getting closer. Our opening night is in a week. I have the day off tomorrow. Why don't you and the cups come here to St. Petersburg, and we could spend the day together?" Tatiana offered.

"Really? We'd love to." Gwen accepted.

Just then, she heard her cup brothers quietly cheered, to her unamusement.

"I know you guys are outside my room eavesdropping!" Gwen sternly called.

Both cups quickly dash back into their bedroom.

"Sorry, I was gonna surprise them, but they overheard us." Gwen apologized.

"It's alright. Why don't you and the cups show up at my apartment tomorrow at noon. I know exactly where I want to take you guys." Tatiana instructed.

"Okay, we'll be there." Gwen said.

"Great! I'll see you then." Tatiana said excitedly.

"You too. Bye!" Gwen said and hung up her phone.

Gwen placed the phone on her lamp table.

"Sounds like you're gonna have fun tomorrow." The magic telephone said after it came to life.

"Yeah. She wants to spend the afternoon with us." Gwen said.

"That should be thrilling." The magic telephone said.

"Well, good night, everyone." Gwen said to her friends.

Gwen went to sleep along with her friends.

The next morning, Gwen has breakfast with her family. Then she starts to get ready to go to St. Petersburg along with the cups. Ms. Chalice arrives ready to go to Russia.

"So, what are we doin' with Tatiana today?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"She wants to take us places around St. Petersburg. She doesn't get to this often she she's committed to ballet. Plus, we're her friends and I don't think she gets to hang out much." Gwen answered.

"Oh. That's gotta suck." Cuphead said.

"Well, she worked all her life for this. There were things she probably had to give up." Mugman said.

"Yeah. Anyway, you guys ready?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah!" All three cups answered.

"Well then, let's go." Gwen said as she raised her ink pen.

Gwen teleports herself and the cups to Tatiana's apartment in St. Petersburg where Tatiana is waiting for them. Tatiana is startled at Gwen's teleportation powers.

"Oh! You scared me!" Tatiana exclaimed.

"Sorry. I do make a surprising entrance." Gwen said.

Tatiana hugged Gwen.

"So good to see you again Gwen." Tatiana said.

The three cups gathered and hugged Tatiana.

"And you too you three little chashki." Tatiana said.

"Aww!" All three cups said.

"Now, are you ready for my tour of St. Petersburg?" Tatiana asked.

"Of course we are." Gwen answered.

"Then follow me. We take the train into the city." Tatiana said.

The group begin their way to the train station and board the train into St. Petersburg. After getting off the train, Tatiana takes them to Palace Square. Tatiana shows the column with the statue of Alexander at the top.

"Wow, look at that palace over there!" Cuphead exclaimed.

"Da. That is the Winter Palace where the Empress Catherine the Great lived." Tatiana answered.

"I have a grandma named Catherine." Gwen said.

After walking around, Tatiana leads the group to Nevsky Prospect and showed one of St. Petersburg's famous churches: the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood.

"This is the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood." Tatiana said.

"Oooh!" The three cups said.

"Look at those beautiful mosaics." Mugman said.

"Da. Very beautiful." Tatiana agreed.

They continue down the Neva River until they reached another cathedral with a golden dome.

"Wow, that roof top looks like it's made out of gold." Ms. Chalice said.

"That's because it is made of gold Chalice. This is St. Issac's Cathedral." Tatiana said.

"Wow." Gwen said.

"Would you like to climb to the top?" Tatiana asked.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Both cups exclaimed.

"Follow me." Tatiana said.

The group follow Tatiana inside the church, and they are awestruck by the beautiful architecture and paintings on the main floor.

"This is more beautiful than the church back home." Gwen said.

"Ooh! Look at those golden treasures!" Ms. Chalice said and walked over to touch the golden crosses and candlesticks at the altar.

"NET!" Tatiana scolded and grabbed Ms. Chalice.

"What?!" Ms. Chalice asked.

"You must never touch or go near those treasures! They are very sacred to the church! We must respect them." Tatiana warned.

"Yeah Chalice!" Gwen agreed.

"Okay, sorry!" Ms. Chalice apologized.

"Maybe we should move on." Mugman suggested.

"Da. Let's go." Tatiana said.

The group start their way to a spiral staircase and walk up the stairs until they finally reached the top and get the best view of St. Petersburg.

"Wow." Gwen said awestruck.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Tatiana asked.

"No kidding!" Cuphead agreed as he looked around.

The group leave the cathedral and Tatiana leads them to a place called the Peter and Paul Fortress.

"Oooh! Look at that giant gold pointy thing!" Cuphead said looking across the river.

"That 'giant gold pointy thing' is called the golden spire and it's on top of the Admiralty Building. That is where the first warships were built." Tatiana explained.

Gwen looked and saw another cathedral.

"Hey look, another cathedral." Gwen said.

"Behold Gwen. This is the oldest church in the city. It is the final resting place of emperors and empresses." Tatiana said.

"Woah. I know the last Emperor of Russia was very cruel and tyrannical." Gwen said, remembering something.

"Da. My people were suffering because of Czar Nicholas II. They lived in poverty because of him. They had to do something." Tatiana said.

"I'm sorry." Gwen said.

Tatiana sighed softly.

"Now, then. I have a surprise for you all." Tatiana said, changing the subject.

"Surprise? We love surprises!" Both cups exclaimed.

"Good. Then follow me." Tatiana said.

The group follow Tatiana until they finally reach a fun fair with rides, stands and live shows.

"Wow!" All three cups said.

"This looks like fun." Gwen said.

"Then come on. I show you the best rides." Tatiana said.

The cups run excitedly in the fair and start trying out the rides. First, they try out a boat swing ride. Gwen and Tatiana get on a boat, and both took turns swinging as both girls laughed.

Next, they try the toboggan rides. The cups get on one toboggan and Gwen and Tatiana get on another. They all slide down a track down the hill as they all laughed.

Afterwards they ride the Ferris wheel, the carousal, the swing ride, and roller coaster.

After riding rides, the group purchase rooster-shaped lollipops and look around. Just then, they come across a show and watch Cossack soldiers dance on stage.

"Wow, Cossacks." Gwen said, amazed with their dance moves.

"What's a Cossack?" Mugman asked.

"A Cossack is a military soldier and trained warrior. Very skilled in combat, horsemanship and dance." Tatiana answered.

"I'll bet I can dance faster than those boot stompers." Ms. Chalice bragged.

"Oh, really? You think you can dance better than them?" Tatiana asked.

"Just watch me!" Ms. Chalice said, accepting her challenge.

Ms. Chalice quickly tapped-danced onstage and joined the Cossacks and started scatting and dancing. The crowd gasp as she mimicked their kick moves while adding her own moves. As the Cossacks did their squat kicks Ms. Chalice spun around like a top until they finally struck the final pose.

The audience cheers as a young dark-blonde mustached Cossack lifts Ms. Chalice up.

"Kto ty?" The Cossack asked in Russian.

"Uh…" Ms. Chalice said, not having a clue what he said.

Tatiana comes on stage and takes Ms. Chalice away along with Gwen.

"Proshu proshcheniya za moyego druga." Tatiana apologized for her friend.

The Cossack looked at Tatiana and is struck by her beauty. Gwen notices this and goes to Tatiana's side.

"Who are you strangers?" The Cossack asked in English.

"Oh good. You do speak English." Cuphead said.

"Uh, these are visitors who came to tour St. Petersburg. We were just leaving." Tatiana nervously said and lead the group away.

The Cossack looked at the group in fascination as they leave to do something else.

Later, the group are sitting at a table eating lunch. They dine on some Beef Stroganoff over egg noodles with some pirozhki (meat filled pastries) with ponchiki (sweet donut holes) for dessert. Cuphead plays with one his souvenirs a matryoshka doll.

"This place is incredible. The churches, the rides, the music and dancing." Mugman complimented.

"Yeah. This was a fun day. Thanks Tatiana." Gwen thanked.

"Please, I barely ever get to do this since I joined the Mariinsky Ballet. I needed this." Tatiana said.

Ms. Chalice was eating the stroganoff and pirozhki too fast and drinking a glass of a sweet drink called kompot.

"Chalice! Slow down!" Gwen corrected her.

"What? This food's awesome!" Ms. Chalice said.

"Yeah. We don't have this kind of food at home." Cuphead agreed.

"What is the Inkwell Isles like? Is it really like being in a painting?" Tatiana asked.

"When you put it that way, yes." Gwen answered.

"Wow. I'd love to see that world one day." Tatiana said.

"I'll bring you one day. And It'll be my turn to give you the tour." Gwen offered.

"I would love that." Tatiana said.

The cups look through their souvenirs of matryoshka dolls, Russian chocolate, Faberge eggs and Bogorodsk wooden toys. Gwen got herself a beautiful hand-crafted Russian church music box.

Just then, the Cossack soldier they met earlier approached the group.

"Oh, hello again." Gwen greeted nervously.

"Privet." The Cossack greeted.

"Why are you here?" Tatiana asked.

"I apologize. I was fascinated with these children with chashki for heads." The Cossack explained.

The Cossack reaches in his bag for something. He pulls out three black ushankas (fur hats).

"I bring you three a present." The Cossack said.

"Gee thanks mister!" All three cups thanked.

They each take a hat and put it on their heads.

"Who are you?" Gwen asked.

"I never properly introduced myself. I am Rodion. Soldier of the Cossacks. The Red Army." Rodion introduced himself.

"I'm Tatiana Mikhailov. Ballerina of the Mariinsky Ballet." Tatiana introduced.

"Oh da. You are the star of Swan Lake ballet next week." Rodion said, now knowing who she is.

"And these are my friends Gwen, Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Tatiana introduced the group.

"It is a pleasure." Rodion said.

"Well, this has been fun, but my friends and I better get going. Thanks for everything Tatiana." Gwen said as she got up from her seat.

"Alright. Don't forget the opening night next week." Tatiana reminded her.

"I won't, I promise." Gwen promised.

Both girls hug along with the cups. Gwen takes the cups to a private location out of sight and teleported back to the Inkwell Isles.

Tatiana and Rodion socialized and got to know each other at the fair.

Gwen and the cups unload their souvenirs.

"That was fun, right guys?" Gwen asked.

"Totally! Even though it's cold there, that was pretty fun!" Ms. Chalice agreed.

"Yeah. I look forward to the ballet next week." Mugman said.

"Me too. I wonder how Tatiana's doing with that Cossack guy?" Cuphead asked.

"I hope she's okay. We just met that guy. So, I hope it works out." Gwen said, feeling concerned.

"Eh, maybe she's met Mr. Right." Ms. Chalice said and winked.

"Chalice. Just because they met doesn't mean they'll fall in love right away." Gwen pointed out.

Back in St. Petersburg, Rodion escorts Tatiana back to her apartment.

"Thank you for escorting me home." Tatiana thanked.

"And thank you for a lovely afternoon." Rodion thanked.

Well, I better check on my mama. Do svidaniya." Tatiana said and entered her apartment.

Rodion smiled and walked away from the apartment and returned to the Cossacks in their personal village outside of St. Petersburg. In his quarters, he thought about Tatiana and how smitten he is of her beauty and kindness.

Just then, a Cossack approached Rodion.

"Rodion! The captain wants to see you!" The Cossack announced.

Rodion's eyes widened.

"I'm coming." Rodion said, having no choice.

Rodion is escorted to the captain's office and the Cossack closed the door.

"You sent for me Captain? What are your orders?" Rodion asked.

To Rodion's horror, the captain was not at his desk, but noticed someone not human sitting in the chair faced backwards.

"You! Why are you here?" Rodion asked fearfully, knowing who he was.

"Did you meet them at the fair like I told you?" A familiar voice asked.

"Yes, but they are very nice people. Especially Tatiana." Rodion answered.

"Don't get too close to her boy. You need to stick to the plan. Get close to the girl until the night of the ballet. When the time is right, you will lure her American friend into a trap and bring her to me." The voice explained.

"Yes, sir." Rodion agreed.

"Remember our deal boy. Your starving family wouldn't be alive if it weren't for me in these difficult times. It's time to cash in on the favor you owe me. You know what will happen if you break it. Are we clear?" The voice asked.

Rodion sighed sadly as he looked at the burn scar on his hand.

"Yes, sir." Rodion hesitantly agreed.

The chair spun around, revealing the Devil speaking to Rodion.

"Excellent." The Devil said with an evil grin.

Later that week, Tatiana is once again rehearsing with the ballet for their opening night.

After a long day of rehearsing, she noticed Rodion in the audience. She approached Rodion after packing her bag.

"Rodion! What are you doing here?" Tatiana asked.

"I had to see you again." Rodion answered.

"Oh. Why do you want to see me?" Tatiana asked.

"I thought you'd like to join me for dinner. What do you say?" Rodion asked.

Tatiana stood in shock at his offer to go on a date with Rodion.

"Go for it!" A ballerina called.

Tatiana glared at the ballerina eavesdropping. The ballerina quickly left as she snickered.

"Alright. Maybe just one date." Tatiana agreed.

Rodion gestured her to follow him. He takes her out to a nice restaurant and continued to socialize. Afterwards he takes her to a live orchestra performance where he showed off more of his dancing. Tatiana shows off her ballet moves until he took her hands and danced with her. After the dance, they both walk on a bridge over the Neva River, watching boats sail underneath.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Rodion asked.

"Da." Tatiana agreed.

"Something happened to me tonight." Rodion said.

"Me too. But I need to focus on opening night tomorrow. It will be my debut." Tatiana said.

"It is going to be grand. And you are going to astound and amaze everyone like the beautiful swan you are." Rodion assured her.

Tatiana smiled at Rodion.

"Will you come tomorrow night?" Tatiana asked.

"Of course I will. I already have my ticket." Rodion said as he held up his ticket.

"Wonderful! All my friends will be there to watch my debut! If it weren't for my dear friend Gwen, my dreams would never have come true." Tatiana said.

"Wow, that is amazing." Rodion nervously agreed.

Later, Rodion escorts Tatiana home.

"Thank you for that date Rodion." Tatiana thanked.

"And thank you for joining me. I never get to do this often." Rodion said.

Tatiana was about to enter her apartment when Rodion takes her hand and looked at her. They both share their first kiss. After a few seconds, they stop, and Tatiana smiled at him before entering her apartment.

Rodion smiled and left the apartment. But his smile faded away when he started to have second thoughts about the mission. He rejoins his men back to the Cossack village.

The opening night of Swan Lake had finally arrived. Gwen along with Clarence and the cups secretly appeared in formal outfits and enter the Mariinsky Theater.

"Wow, so many people here." Cuphead said.

"Yeah, it's a full house." Mugman added.

"This is gonna be fun." Ms. Chalice said.

"So, this is what you guys have been doing? Taking ballet lessons then befriending one of the ballerinas?" Clarence asked.

"Where do you think I learned to be in control for our first dance?" Gwen asked.

"Right. But this is gonna be a fun night. I always wanted to see Russia." Clarence said.

"We can go anywhere we want when we honeymoon. We'll see all the places we want." Gwen said as she held her fiancé.

"Yeah, I wanna see the world with you." Clarence said, holding her.

Just then, they are approached by Rodion.

"Ah, Gwen. You and your friends have come." Rodion greeted.

"Hi, Rodion. You're here too?" Gwen asked.

"Da. I came to watch Tatiana's debut." Rodion answered.

"Wow, a Cossack soldier." Clarence said.

Rodion looked at Clarence.

"And who might you be?" Rodion asked.

"Clarence Hopewell. I'm Gwen's fiancé." Clarence introduced as they shook hands.

"Ah, I didn't know you were engaged." Rodion said.

"Yes. We're getting married soon." Gwen said.

Rodion looked nervous, unsure if he should carry out the mission seeing that Gwen is in love with someone.

"Hey, you alright?" Cuphead asked.

"Oh yes. I am fine. Let's go, they're about to start soon." Rodion said.

They all enter the audience and take their seats. The lights started to fade to darkness, and the audience claps as the curtain raises up. The orchestra started playing Swan Lake as Tatiana entered the stage with other ballerinas.

"There she is!" Cuphead whispered.

"SHH!" Gwen shushed him.

They continued watching the show until Rodion noticed the Devil glaring at him from the darkness, reminding him what to do after the show.

Two hours later, the show is over, and Tatiana takes her leap to her death for the finishing move. The audience cheered thunderously as Tatiana smiled. The ballerinas all took their bows on stage. Gwen, Clarence and the cups along with Rodion all head backstage to congratulate Tatiana.

"That was amazing. Your friend was astounding." Clarence complimented.

"Yeah. I knew she could do it without magic. Just like Chalice and I did before." Gwen said.

"Testify girlfriend!" Ms. Chalice said.

They waited for Tatiana to come out of her dressing room when Rodion approached Gwen.

"Gwen! I have lost my sword! Have you seen it?" Rodion asked.

"No, I haven't. Did you leave it at the front with your coat?" Gwen asked.

"I checked but they do not have it. I must've dropped it." Rodion answered.

"Well, you can retrace your steps in a while. Tatiana will be out soon. By the way, I got you these to give to her." Gwen said as she pulled out a large bouquet of white roses decorated with swan feathers created from the magic inkwell.

"You got me beautiful roses to give to her? Why?" Rodion asked.

"You don't fool me for a second Rodion, I know what's going on." Gwen said with a smirk on her face.

Rodion looked nervous.

"You're in love with Tatiana, aren't you?" Cuphead asked, figuring it out.

"Aww! I knew it! I knew it!" Mugman said, feeling happy.

"Rodian and Tatiana sittin' in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Ms. Chalice taunted.

Rodion chuckled awkwardly until Clarence placed his hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay. Just tell her how you feel." Clarence encouraged.

"Really?" Rodion asked.

"Yes. Speak from your heart. Love is real." Clarence advised.

"Alright. I will." Rodion said.

Rodion placed his hand on Clarence's shoulder when he noticed something on his hand. Clarence's eyes widened in horror, recognized the burn scar on his hand.

"What is wrong?" Rodion asked.

"N-nothing. Nothing. Here she comes." Clarence denied.

Tatiana came out to greet her friends. They all cheered for her. Tatiana hugged Gwen and the cups and is introduced to Clarence. Then, she noticed Rodion with the bouquet of white roses with swan feathers.

"Oh, they're beautiful!" Tatiana said happily as she took them.

"No, you are the one who is beautiful." Rodion said.

Both Rodion and Tatiana kiss each other, making Gwen and the cups feel happy for them.

They all are about to leave together when Rodion remembered the plan.

"Oh! I need to retrace my steps for my sword!" Rodion said.

"Do you want any help?" Gwen asked.

"Yes, that would be most appreciated." Rodion said.

Clarence started to get suspicious of Rodion's behavior.

"I'll help you too. I'm good at finding things myself." Clarence offered.

"Thank you, Clarence." Rodion thanked.

"I'll wait here with the cups." Tatiana said.

The three take off to find the sword. They enter the theater looking in the audience seats.

Just then Gwen noticed a glimmer from the dark corner.

"Is that it over there?" Gwen asked.

Gwen was about to retrieve it when suddenly Clarence stopped her from grabbing it.

"Clarence! What are you doing?" Gwen asked.

"It's a trap! He's working for the Devil!" Clarence yelled and pointed at Rodion.

"What?!" Gwen asked shockingly.

Rodion looked scared, knowing he's been caught. Gwen finally noticed the burn scar on Rodion's hand, confirming Clarence's discovery. She angrily gets out her ink pen and pointed at Rodion.

"You cad! You liar! You set us up!" Gwen yelled as he used telekinesis on Rodion to keep him from escaping.

"It was my job! I was supposed to get close to Tatiana but then…!" Rodion fearfully confessed.

"You would deliver Gwen to the Devil!" Clarence finished angrily, figuring it out.

Gwen was about to attack when Tatiana and the cups burst into the theater.

"Gwen! What's going on?" Tatiana asked.

"Your new boyfriend's working for the Devil! He used you to get close to me!" Gwen answered.

The cups gasped in horror at Rodion's betrayal.

"Rodion, is this true?!" Tatiana asked shockingly.

Rodion sighed deeply, now forced to come clean.

"Yes. But I can explain! I didn't want to do it! D'yavol made me a deal! He saved my poor family from dying of starvation! He said I owed him a favor, so he wanted me to help him capture Gwen to pay him back!" Rodion fearfully explained.

Tatiana stood in horror, knowing she had been used and betrayed. She dropped the flowers on the floor.

"I never should've trusted you!" Tatiana yelled in tears.

"Listen! I really fell in love with you! I didn't want to hurt you or Gwen!" Rodion tried to explain.

"You're a fool Rodion! He makes those promises to his pawns, but he never keeps them!" Gwen warned.

"Yeah! I should know!" Ms. Chalice backed her up.

"ENOUGH!" The Devil's voice echoed, and he appeared in front of the group, making Gwen release Rodion.

"I figured you'd show up!" Gwen said angrily.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. You know the drill." The Devil said impatiently.

"Run Gwen! Tatiana! Get out of here!" Rodion yelled.

"Oh, she's not the one who should be running. Nor your beloved one…" The Devil said angrily as he approached Rodion with his pitchfork.

"You broke our deal. You know what that means…" The Devil said as he pointed his pitchfork at him.

The group looked in horror, realizing what was going to happen. The Devil was about to unleash his death cloud on Rodion as he prepared to accept his fate.

Gwen had to think fast when Tatiana stepped in between the Devil and Rodion.

"Please don't kill him!" Tatiana begged.

"You stay out of this Mikhailov!" The Devil yelled.

The Devil used telekinesis on Tatiana and moved her out of the way.

"Fine, you are terrible ballet dancer!" Tatiana yelled.

The Devil's eyes popped and stopped his death cloud.

"What did you just say?" The Devil asked.

"I said you are terrible ballet dancer! I watched you dance the day we met! You leap like a bunny!" Tatiana insulted.

"How dare you! I've been working really hard at my ballet skills!" The Devil snapped.

"Oh really? Do you know the meaning of the word 'control'?" Tatiana asked, using Mrs. Ivanov's words.

"Of course I do!" The Devil answered.

"I highly doubt it!" Tatiana bravely insulted.

"UGH! Fine! Tatiana Mikhailov, I challenge you to a ballet contest!" The Devil angrily declared.

The group gasped in horror.

"Tatiana, no! You don't know what you're doing!" Gwen protested.

"If I accept your challenge, will you spare Rodion?" Tatiana asked.

"That depends. What are your terms if you win?" The Devil asked.

"If I win, you clear Rodion of his debt, leave his family be and let Gwen go." Tatiana answered.

"Fine. If I win, I get to kill Rodion for breaking our deal, take Gwen away to marry her, and collect Clarence and the cup's souls. And yours too." The Devil stated his terms.

"What?!" Clarence asked shockingly.

"You heard me boy." The Devil answered.

"Oh no." Mugman said worryingly.

"Now then, do we have a deal?" The Devil evilly asked as he reached out his hand.

Tatiana took a deep breath then reached for the Devil's hand.

"Deal!" Tatiana said bravely.

They both shake on it.

"Tatiana! You shouldn't have done that! You'll regret this like I did!" Rodion warned.

"I have faith." Tatiana said.

"Alright, enough of the sentimental hogwash, let's get our show in here, shall we?" The Devil asked.

"Show? What show?" Gwen asked.

"Just watch." The Devil answered as he raised his pitchfork.

He raised his pitchfork and tapped it, causing an earthquake in the Mariinsky Theater.

"Here we go again." Cuphead said worryingly.

Just then, the theater was transformed into a real Swan Lake land from the story. Tatiana grew nervous as the Devil started bringing Swan Lake into reality.

"What is all this?" Tatiana asked.

"This my dear is the real deal from the fairy tale you all know. Instead of pretending, we're going to make it real." The Devil explained.

"Alright, I can do it." Tatiana said.

"Everything's ready… oh wait a minute." The Devil said until he realized something.

"What?" Tatiana asked impatiently.

"Well, there is one more little detail we still need to correct. You are the Swan Princess, are you not?" The Devil asked.

"In the ballet, yes." Tatiana nervously answered.

"Well, you can't play the part looking like that. We can fix that." The Devil said evilly as he pointed his pitchfork at Tatiana.

"NO! DON'T YOU DARE!" Gwen yelled, preparing to attack.

"Uh, uh, uh my dear! You will not interfere this time!" The Devil scolded as he magically restrained Gwen.

"Now, where were we? Ah yes…" The Devil said evilly as he pointed his pitchfork at Tatiana.

The Devil casted a spell on Tatiana, transforming her into a real swan. Tatiana opened her eyes and looked up at the Devil, now being much taller than she is.

"What happened? How did I get down here…?" Tatiana asked until she raised her hand, only to realize it was a white feathered wing.

Tatiana gasped in horror and looked at her body, now realizing she was no longer human.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!" Tatiana yelled.

"I gave you a little… makeover for the part. You're welcome." The Devil taunted.

"NO!" Tatiana yelled.

"Now then, I think everything is ready for our show. Let's get the audience here." The Devil said as he tapped his pitchfork.

Suddenly, all the ballerinas appeared in the audience seats including the Director and Mrs. Ivanov.

"What is happening?!" The Director fearfully asked.

"I don't know! Are we in the theater or at a lake?!" Mrs. Ivanov asked.

"Look!" One ballerina called.

All the ballerinas look at the stage and notice the Devil and Tatiana in her new swan form.

"Is that…?" Another ballerina asked.

"D'YAVOL!" The Director yelled.

Everyone screamed, to the Devil's delight.

"I have fans in Russia too." The Devil bragged.

Gwen scoffed at his remark.

"So sorry for the inconvenience of bringing you all here against your will, but I needed an audience for a contest I need to settle with your Swan Princess here." The Devil explained as he magically dressed himself into a fancy ballet outfit.

"What contest?" Mrs. Ivanov asked.

"Glad you asked. You see, Tatiana here thinks I suck at ballet. Well, I want to prove her wrong. We will perform our ballet dance here and you all get to vote which of us is the best!" The Devil explained the rules.

Everyone gasped in horror.

"Maestro! If you please." The Devil called.

The maestro fearfully grabbed his baton and prepared the musicians to start playing. They play the music as the Devil started dancing. Tatiana is shocked the Devil has indeed been improving his dance skills, making her scared she will lose easily.

Gwen sees the horror in Tatiana's face and uses the magic inkwell to communicate in Tatiana's head.

"Tatiana! It's me Gwen talking to you telepathically." Gwen sent her thought to Tatiana's head.

Tatiana gasped.

"Don't panic! In fact, don't talk! Just think what you wanna say and I'll hear it!" Gwen instructed.

"What do I do? I can't do this! He's cheating me! He's been getting better!" Tatiana fearfully thought.

"That's what he does, lie and cheat! Now, remain calm and listen to me very carefully. I know it's scary being turned into an animal, but you are still you Tatiana. It's like Mrs. Ivanov once said: Like the swan, it's either sink or swim. Don't let your new body stop you from doing what you do best. In fact, take advantage of this. Human or swan, you are still the best ballet dancer. So, no quitting!" Gwen instructed.

Tatiana thought for a moment and realized Gwen was right.

"You're right Gwen! I can do this! I am the Swan Princess!" Tatiana said, regaining her confidence.

Tatiana lifted her wings and flew up, mimicking her ballet moves while in the air, making the audience gasp in wonder. The Devil notices and he is shocked that she was still willing to dance, despite of her transformation.

Regardless, he continued to dance as Tatiana continued her dancing.

For the grand finale, Tatiana finishes with the leap to her death move as she had tears in her eyes, making Gwen tear up. Rodion also had tears in his eyes at her performance.

The music finishes and everyone applauds for Tatiana, thus making her the winner.

"What?! NO!" The Devil yelled angrily.

Tatiana flew up to the Devil with a smirk on her face.

"You were right D'yavol. I do live up to the role of the Swan Princess. Thank you." Tatiana taunted.

Just then, Tatiana started glowing and is suddenly transformed back into her human form, to everyone's shock.

"Wait! How about one more dance? Two out of three?" The Devil nervously begged.

Gwen stormed up on the stage and fired her lightning attack at the Devil.

"A deal's a deal Devil! She won, you lost! We're done! You're through!" Gwen scolded.

The Devil groaned in agony, then disappeared back to Hell in a huff. Gwen took the opportunity to erase the ballet company's memories and safely return them all home. She also transformed the Mariinsky Theater back to normal.

Rodion joined them on stage and faced Tatiana carrying the white rose bouquet.

"I am so sorry Tatiana. I can understand if you and Gwen do not want to forgive me. I don't deserve it." Rodion apologized, feeling remorse for his actions.

Tatiana thought for a moment, then started to understand why he did what he did for his family for the wrong reasons.

"Actually, I do forgive you. You were just looking for the wrong ways to help your family. And D'yavol is very manipulative." Tatiana said.

"I forgive you too. You weren't the only who was tricked into capturing me." Gwen said, recalling a few experiences.

Clarence and the cups join them on stage.

"I guess it's not all your fault. I just hope you learn something from all of this." Clarence said, trying to understand.

"Yeah. We all learned our lesson about dealing with the Devil." Ms. Chalice said.

"Except for you Cuphead." Mugman scolded.

"Hey! I too learned something!" Cuphead argued.

"Guys, save your bickering for when we get home." Gwen scolded.

"Okay." Both cups agreed.

Rodion took Tatiana's hand and smiled at her.

"You really are the beautiful swan." Rodion said.

Tatiana smiled as they both share another passionate kiss.

"Aww!" All three cups said.

Clarence and Gwen held each other, happy for them.

"Alright, this was fun and all, but can we go home now?" Cuphead asked, feeling tired.

"Yeah, I think we're done here buddy." Clarence agreed.

"Alright, we're gonna head home. You sure you'll be okay?" Gwen asked Tatiana.

"Da. I will be." Tatiana said.

Both girls hug each other.

"Thank you for still believing in me when I was a swan." Tatiana thanked.

"Always, you believed in me when I learning ballet." Gwen said.

"Uh, Gwen? Before you go, could you give me something?" Tatiana asked.

"Sure, what is it?" Gwen asked.

Tatiana whispered something in her ear.

"Are you sure? You know having great power comes with great responsibility." Gwen said.

"I'm sure." Tatiana said.

"Very well then." Gwen said.

She raised her ink pen and cast a white beam into Tatiana.

"Alright. Now you can do it at your own will." Gwen said.

"Thank you, Gwen." Tatiana thanked.

Gwen smiled, then rejoined the cups and Clarence and disappeared back to the Inkwell Isles.

Rodion escorts Tatiana back to her apartment.

"So, what did Gwen give you?" Rodion asked.

Tatiana smiled, then she transformed herself into a swan again, to Rodion's shock.

"What? You wanted to be a swan again?" Rodion asked, confused.

"No, Rodion. I asked her if she could give me the power to turn into a swan whenever I want." Tatiana said as she transformed back into a human.

"Really? Why?" Rodion asked.

"Well, I actually liked being a swan and I figured maybe I could use it for good purposes like Gwen does with her magic." Tatiana explained.

"Wonderful. I owe you everything. You cleared my debt. I am forever grateful." Rodion said.

Tatiana sighed softly.

From then on, Tatiana used her new ability to continue ballet and use it for good purposes. She learned how to fly and took her first flight in the sky like a swan and continues to date Rodion.
