The morning sun rises over Jurassic Park, casting a warm orange glow from the east, the dawning of a new day. The dangers of the night had now been overcome by the sheer beauty of Isla Nublar. Alan Grant, Lex and Tim Murphy were currently asleep in their spot up on the tree, both kids curled up under the Paleontologist's arms. Then, a large Brachiosaur head pushes into the tree branches. The animal opens its mouth wide and chomps down on some branches right alongside them on their right. Alan awakens and notices the dinosaur, smiling in observation. Lex awakens too and notices the Brachiosaur with a fearful look, gasping in fright. She shuffles away to a higher branch as the herbivore returns for another bite. Tim was the last to awaken and he looks on with fascination, while his sister screams at the Brachiosaur.

"Go away!" Lex screams

"It's okay, it's okay. It's a Brachiosaur." Alan says quietly calming her down

"It's a Veggie-saurus, Lex. Veggie-saurus." Tim says

Tim scampers up the branch, trying to get closer to the dinosaur. Lex, on the other hand, remained where she was, not taking any chances.

"Come on, come on, girl." Tim says

Alan grabs another branch, full of leaves, and holds it forward for the Brachiosaur, offering to feed her.

"Come on. Come on, baby." Alan says calling to the dinosaur with his right-hand

The Brachiosaur stares at Alan and the kids for a moment, then lets out a loud bellowing roar, forcing Lex and Tim to cover their ears. The dinosaur bites the end of Alan's branch and engages him in a playful tug-of-war.

"Yo! All right! I'm not letting go! Heh heh." Alan chuckles

As she watched them, Lex actually began to smile at the friendly interaction with the majestic creature, realizing now how gentle and harmless it was. Alan pulls the Brachiosaur closer and both he and Tim pet the dinosaur's snout with their hands, while it fed on the leaves, emitting a gentle moan. Tim looks up at the Brachiosaur's nostrils, located on its forehead rather than its snout, and notices something peculiar. Yellow-green mucus was dripping down from her nostrils, perhaps from a disease.

"Looks like she has a cold." Tim says

"Yeah, maybe." Alan says

"Can I touch it?" Lex asks interested in the dinosaur

"Sure. Just think of it as... kind of a big cow." Alan says glancing at Lex on his left

Tim giggles at Alan's comparison as he continued petting the gentle animal. Lex turns to the Brachiosaur and observes its mouth. Its teeth looked flat compared to the large sharp teeth she had seen from the Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the way she ate her food was indeed similar to that of a cow, her mouth moving from side-to-side as she chewed.

"I like cows." Lex says

Lex goes to touch the Brachiosaur with her right-hand, but its head pulls away out of reach. She leans forward tentatively towards the edge of the tree and calls out to the dinosaur.

"Hey, come on, girl. Come on up here, girl. Come on, up here." Lex says

Suddenly, the Brachiosaur lets out a sneeze, spraying yellow-green mucus all over Lex in a vast explosion. Tim climbs over to his drenched sister and gazes out at the dinosaur.

"God bless you!" Tim says

Lex remained frozen on the tree, her eyes wide with shock and disgust.

After their encounter with the Brachiosaur, Alan, Lex, and Tim walked along the jungle floor, beginning their trek back to the Visitor's Center. Lex's shirt was soaked with dinosaur snot and her face was all wet. She felt embarrassed and quite disgusted as she tried to wipe off the mucus with her hands.

"Yuck!" Lex says

"Oh, great, now she'll never try anything new. She'll just sit in her room and never come out and play on her computer." Tim says

"I'm a hacker." Lex says

"That's what I said. You're a nerd." Tim says

"I am not a computer nerd. I prefer to be called a hacker." Lex says

Alan, Lex, and Tim climb over a large tree root in their path. While the kids continue walking, Alan was crouched on the ground, staring at something incredible. Before him was a whole clutch of eggs, dinosaur eggs, all hatched and empty with bits and pieces littering the jungle floor.

"Oh, God..." Alan whispers

Lex and Tim return and come over to Alan's side, noticing the discovery. The Paleontologist picks up a large eggshell, half-broken on its side, and stares down at it in amazement.

"You know what this is? It's a dinosaur egg. The dinosaurs... are breeding." Alan says

Tim takes the broken egg from Alan and both he and Lex gaze down at it.

"But... my grandpa said all the dinosaurs were girls." Tim says

Alan glances off to the right for a moment in thought, then he remembered something.

"Amphibian DNA." Alan says

"What's that?" Lex asks

Alan picks up the broken half of another egg as he explained.

"Well, on the tour, the film said they used... frog DNA to fill in the gene sequence gaps. They mutated the dinosaur's genetic code... and blended it with that of frogs. Now, some West African frogs have been known to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single sex environment." Alan says

The man chuckles a bit, remembering what Ian said back in the Genetics Lab.

"Malcolm was right." Alan says

Gazing back down at the ground, Alan noticed something else.

"Look." Alan says

They all look down and they saw a trail of small dinosaur footprints leading away from the nest and into the jungle.

"Life found a way." Alan says smiling

Elsewhere in the Velociraptor Paddock, the Keyblade Wielder, Devon, awakens inside the utility shed. He was resting on the concrete floor on his left-side when he woke up and he slowly pushes himself up. Devon rises up to his feet and stretches his body, leaning back and stretching his arms.

"Mmmmmmmm... Ohhh! Man... Times like these, I wish I carried a sleeping bag." Devon says

Once he was fully awake, the young hero looked around, and right away he noticed that his new Velociraptor companion wasn't with him.

"Raika?" Devon asks

Turning to his right, Devon saw Raika standing at the shed's door. The raptor purred as she eyed the door's handle, sniffing it. It's as if she was trying to figure out how to get it to open. Then, to the Keyblade Wielder's amazement, Raika actually manages to open the door, using her right-claw to push the handle down. Next, the dinosaur pushes the door with her head, which swings wide open. Raika glances back at Devon over her right-side and lets out a bark, then proceeds to walk outside into the jungle.

"Wow. Heh. I guess Muldoon wasn't kidding when he said the raptors were smart." Devon says

Devon exits the shed and steps out into the jungle. It was a warm, bright sunny day. The tropical birds were squawking and chirping, and the sunlight was shining down through the jungle canopy in beautifully scattered beams. He couldn't help but admire the beauty of the island.

"Ahh... Glad to see the storm has passed. Nice sunny day." Devon says

Suddenly, the young hero heard a loud splash coming from a nearby pond on his left.

"Huh?" Devon says

Devon turns to his left and saw Raika standing near a large pond that was full of fish. The Velociraptor had plucked a very large Cuban Gar out of the water with incredibly fast reflexes. She holds down the fish with her right-foot, tears off a good chunk of meat using her sharp teeth, and swallows her food in one gulp. The Keyblade Wielder placed his hands at his waist, watching the dinosaur in amusement as she continued to eat.

"Well, at least I won't have to worry about feeding you." Devon says

Reaching into the left-side his jacket, Devon takes out the Jurassic Park brochure and takes a look at the map. He saw the Tyrannosaur Paddock on the northeast part of Jurassic Park and the Visitor's Center was slightly down across the island to the southwest. To get to it, he would have to navigate miles of jungle across the park through Raptor Paddock and the Gallimimus Paddock, then bypass the Perimeter Fence. Besides the dinosaurs listed on the brochure that were likely already roaming freely on the island, Devon knew that he would have to stay alert for any Dream Eaters that may also be lurking about, like the Reptiladons he and Raika encountered earlier the previous night. Not to mention Alan and the kids, who were also stranded in the park along with him. He had to find them before they end up in serious danger. As he studied the map, Devon walks over to Raika's side with seven steps, stopping alongside the Velociraptor on her right.

"Okay. So... The Tyrannosaur Paddock is up here. And if I had to guess, we must be somewhere inside the Velociraptor Paddock. If Alan, Lex, and Tim survived the T-Rex, then they'd probably start heading southwest towards the Visitor's Center. So, we'll just follow in their direction." Devon says

They Keyblade Wielder puts away the park brochure back into his jacket and turns to face the jungle on his right.

"We'd better get moving if we want to catch up with them. C'mon, Raika." Devon says patting the dinosaur's side twice with his left-hand before running off

Raika turns to her human friend, responding to his touch after having finished with her meal, and watches Devon as he heads out into the jungle. The Velociraptor quickly follows and catches up with him, running alongside him on his right, and they race down the path ahead of them, beginning their adventure together as they traveled west.

In their journey through the jungles of Jurassic Park, Devon and Raika came across an obstacle in their path: the Isla Nublar River, which ran in a twisted line from the southern tip of the park to the north, going through the center of the Gallimimus Paddock, flowing slightly left before curving right into the center of the Velociraptor Paddock, where it splits in two directions in a 'V'-shape. The right-side of the river curves back down southeast and crosses over into the right of the Dilophosaur Paddock, where the group would have first seen the Dilophosaurs on the tour, while the left-side continues upwards through the southwest corner of the Tyrannosaur Paddock and the Triceratops Paddock before joining the rest of the Pacific Ocean at the North Docks.

The Keyblade Wielder and his Velociraptor companion approached the river along the eastern embankment of the branch that flowed upwards to the north. The river was ten meters wide from one side to the other with the water flowing upstream, wide enough for a raft to travel. Further up the river on their right was a waterfall, fifteen feet tall, adding on to the tropical scenery of the jungle. Devon looked up and down both sides of the river and saw no way to cross it. No vines to swing across, no steppingstones, and no log bridges. He kneels down close to the embankment's edge on his left-knee and gazes into the water, which was probably a few meters down, deep enough for a predator like a Crocodile to remain hidden underwater. He wasn't sure swimming was a good idea. The water was too deep for him to see and there was no telling what lurked beneath the depths, whether they be Dream Eaters, or another prehistoric creature adapted to hunting in an environment such as this. Standing back up, Devon can only see one option in crossing the river. They would have to jump across.

Devon takes five steps backwards from the edge and gets into his stance. He lowers himself down, bends his right-knee, slides his left-leg back, clenches his right-hand into a fist, and closes his eyes in concentration as he taps into his Flowmotion abilities. The Keyblade Wielder was like an Olympic Sprinter, getting ready to sprint. Five seconds later, his entire body starts to glow with a blue aura. Eventually, Devon opens his eyes, and in less than a second, he leaps up into the air and dashes forward with high speed, leaving a sparkling trail of light of the same color behind. He flies over the river, clearing the wide gap across, and lands on the other side with a somersault, sliding to a stop with his right-leg extended forward.

Once he was on the other side, Devon rises up to his feet and looks back at Raika, turning to his left. The Velociraptor walks up the edge and looks down at the river, then looks up at her human friend across the way. Devon knew that she can make the jump. According to Muldoon, Velociraptors were incredible jumpers. It was time to see if that were true.

"Come on, Raika! You can make it!" Devon calls waving her over with his right-hand

Raika takes seven steps backwards, then dashes forward at full speed, racing towards the edge. Within moments, the Velociraptor leaps up into the air, soars across the river, and lands next to the young teen on his left.

"Good girl, Raika. Nice jump." Devon says stroking the raptor's neck and patting her back twice with his left-hand

Raika closes her eyes, purring in content to his touch.

"C'mon. Let's keep moving." Devon says

And so, having crossed the river, the Keyblade Wielder and the Velociraptor continue onwards into the jungle. However, as they left, a large Crocodile shape lurks deep within the river and a pair of red reptilian eyes breaches the surface of the water, the mysterious creature emitting a deep bellowing growl.

After several minutes of navigating the tropical jungle, Devon and Raika reach the area where Alan, Lex, and Tim spent the night in the tall, gigantic tree, coming to a stop near the large roots. The young teen glances up at the tree, staring up at its length as it stretched up high dozens of feet above the ground.

"Wow. These trees are tall. Could make for good shelter away at the top. Maybe they stopped here. Let's look around. See what we can find." Devon says

Devon and Raika conduct a search of the area, looking for clues that would help them determine where Alan and the kids could've gone from here. The Velociraptor kept her head low to the ground, sniffing the dirt using her keen sense of smell, while the Keyblade Wielder checks around the roots of the tree. It wasn't long before Devon found something. Near the base of the tree was a raptor claw. Curious, he picks it up with his right-hand and stares down at the item. And as he holds the raptor claw in his hand, a vision enters Devon's mind, causing him to gasp in surprise.

Through the power of Psychometry, Devon saw Alan, Lex, and Tim huddled up together in the tree during the events of last night. In the Paleontologist's right-hand was the raptor claw he excavated from the dig site back in Montana, which he took out from his back pocket. Lex and Tim both fell asleep in Alan's arms, while he stayed awake, likely to keep watch. Alan stares down at the raptor claw in his hand for a sad moment, then tosses it away as though it no longer had any value. The prehistoric fossil bounces off the roots of the tree and lands on the jungle floor on the exact same spot where the Keyblade Wielder had found it. Then, his vision whitened out.

Devon gasps as he recovers from the vision, and he felt a mixture of emotions. Relief that Alan, Lex, and Tim were still alive. And sad for Alan about his job. Devon's instincts were right. They were here and close. Now, he just needs to know where they went. As he stared down at the raptor claw, the young teen had an idea. Maybe Raika can track them using her sense of smell.

"Hey, Raika. C'mere, girl." Devon calls

The Velociraptor walks over to her human companion, loyally obeying his call. As she approached him, the Keyblade Wielder presents her with the raptor claw.

"I need your nose. Can you find the person who owned this?" Devon asks

Raika curiously sniffs the raptor claw, taking in a couple whiffs of the item. It definitely had the scent of a human on it, one that was similar to Devon. It didn't take long for the dinosaur to pick up on the trail. Perking her head up, Raika looks off to the left and takes a couple steps in that direction before glancing back over her left-side at the Keyblade Wielder, letting out a bark for him to follow. Devon nods his head with a smile and follows Raika as she kept her nose to the ground, following the scent trail as it led them southwest.

Sometime later, as they were walking through the jungle, Devon noticed footprints in the ground, one adult-sized and two children-sized. The prints were actually their shoes walking in the dirt. From the looks of it, they appeared to be fresh, and they were all traveling in same direction, continuing onwards in a straight line. He and Raika were definitely on the right track. The footprints lead on towards the roots of a tree where they stopped. Alan and the kids must've climbed over the roots in their walk. Raika climbs over the roots first, followed by Devon. As he lands on the other side, his feet stomps down on something with a loud crunch.

"Huh?" Devon says

The Keyblade Wielder looks down and lifts up his right-foot. He was stunned by what he saw. Scattered about beneath his feet were dinosaur eggs, all broken and half-open.

"Whoa..." Devon gasps

Devon kneels down on his right-knee and picks up a dinosaur egg with his right-hand, the second one that Alan picked up in his conversation with Lex and Tim in their discovery. In his inspection, he rotates the egg to the left, then the right. The young teen knew from the tour that all the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were made female for population control. And yet here was a bunch of eggs clustered together like a nest. Dinosaur eggs in the park could only mean one thing: The dinosaurs were breeding. It was then that Devon remembered Ian's words back in the Genetics Lab as they echoed in his mind.

"Life, uh... finds a way." Ian's voice says

Raika walks over and sniffs the dinosaur egg in Devon's hand curiously, then looks up at him. The young teen glances up at the Velociraptor. He wasn't sure whether or not these were her eggs, but he couldn't help but smile at the discovery.

Suddenly, Devon and Raika heard a scream coming from the jungle up ahead, followed by a loud roar. It was a scream the young hero easily recognized. It was Lex. And judging by the sounds, Alan and the kids must be close. Wasting no more time, Devon puts down the broken egg and rushes forward with Raika following close behind.

After nearly a minute of running, the Keyblade Wielder and his Velociraptor companion enter a clearing in the jungle, an area bordered by many palm trees, ferns, and enormous mossy trees, with a stream running through, flowing upstream. And there, across from them, near the stream, was Alan Grant, and Lex and Tim Murphy. The Paleontologist stood infront of the kids with his arms and legs spread out, protecting them from a group of Dream Eaters that stood before them. These Dream Eaters were Reptiladons, Sir Kyroos, Cera Terrors, and a Tyranto Rex. The Reptiladons growled and snapped their jaws, ready to tear their human prey limb from limb, the Cera Terrors grunted aggressively and scrapped the ground with their forelegs, ready to charge, and the Tyranto Rex roared ferociously. Although he was no match against the dark creatures, Alan stood his ground, determined to protect Lex and Tim from harm. Stomping forward past the other Nightmares, the Tyranto Rex charges up a large fireball in its mouth, while the man and the kids braced themselves. Within moments, the dark-skinned Nightmare T-Rex shoots its fireball at the trio. Alan, Lex, and Tim shut their eyes and turned away as they waited for the impact. The fireball explodes, kicking up a cloud of smoke. But surprisingly, Alan and the kids were safe, unharmed by the explosion. They opened their eyes, surprised that they were still alive. Then, they looked ahead of them and saw why. The smoke slowly dissipates, revealing Devon standing before them with his crystal Keyblade: Soul Calibur raised horizontally over his head in his right-hand. He had used a Reflega spell to encase them all in a spherical barrier of blue light and white hexagonal panels, which shielded them from the Dream Eater's attack. Soon, the barrier vanishes in a flash of light and the young hero swings his Keyblade over to his side, getting into his stance.

"Devon!" Lex and Tim exclaim happily

"Boy, are we glad to see you." Tim says

"Stand back, guys. I'll take care of these monsters." Devon says glancing back at Alan and the kids over his right-shoulder

The Paleontologist nods his head in agreement, and he proceeds to lead the kids away to safety.

"Come on. This way." Alan says

Alan, Lex, and Tim take cover behind a large rock and peer around the right-side, watching Devon as he faced the dark creatures.

In the start of the battle, Devon makes the first move. He runs straight, leaps forward with Soul Calibur raised over his head with both hands and slams his crystal Keyblade down with a jumping strike, creating a blue shockwave of light along the ground, which blasts away two Reptiladons. He then kicks away a third Reptiladon with a leaping spin kick using his right-foot and cuts down another one on his right with a reverse roundhouse slash. A Sir Kyroo hops towards the young hero and swings its cattail sword at him. Devon blocks the attack, holding Soul Calibur diagonally to the right, shoves the winged frog back, and destroys it with a right downward slash.

A Cera Terror charges at Devon from the left, stomping across the stream and running towards him with its horns lowered. The Keyblade Wielder leaps backwards a good feet away from the ceratopsian creature, dodging the Nightmare's horns as it swings it's with an uppercut strike. He catches himself with his left-hand, performing a backflip across the area, then lands in a crouched position. A Reptiladon and two Sir Kyroos approach him. But before they could attack, Raika leaps into action, letting out a loud screeching roar. She pounces on the Reptiladon, pinning it to the ground, and bites down around the Dream Eater's neck with her sharp teeth. Then, she grabs one of the winged frogs in her jaws and shakes it around a bit before tossing it away. The other Sir Kyroo swings it's cattail sword at the dinosaur with a right slash, but she dodges the weapon with a small leap backwards, and counters the attack with a tail whip, twisting her body to the right and smacking the dark creature away with her long tail.

After dispatching the three Nightmares, Raika heads over to Devon's side, much to the complete surprise of Alan and the kids. The Keyblade Wielder looks over at his Velociraptor companion on his left and nods his head, then they both turn to face the Dream Eaters once more. Alan could not believe his eyes. One of the fiercest and deadliest hunters of the prehistoric era was actually fighting alongside the Keyblade Wielder.

"Oh, my God." Alan gasps

"What is that?" Lex asks

"It's a Velociraptor." Tim gasps in amazement

Devon held Soul Calibur vertically alongside him with both hands in his stance, and Raika growled and hissed at the Dream Eaters, flexing her claws, her tail swinging side-to-side. Soon, the fight continues as Devon and Raika both dash forward with fast speed.

The Keyblade Wielder takes out the first Nightmare, a Reptiladon, with a right slash, stabs second one with a lunging strike, slices through two Sir Kyroos with three right spinning slashes, then slams Soul Calibur down on a third Reptiladon with a roundhouse downward strike. Meanwhile, the Velociraptor attacks a Cera Terror, latching onto its left-side and slashing away at the dark creature's body using the claws on her feet. The ceratopsian creature shakes off the raptor and curls itself into a ball, rolling towards her. Raika hops onto the charging Nightmare and runs along the top as it continues rolling. Eventually, the Velociraptor jumps off the Cera Terror just before it smashes into a tree, falling flat on its stomach with its legs spread out.

Over on Devon's side, the young teen attacks another Cera Terror with a series of quick slashes to its face, swinging Soul Calibur with a downward slash, a reverse roundhouse uppercut strike, a left spinning slash, which hits three times, a backflip slash, and a roundhouse slash. The Cera Terror swings its horns at Devon in an attempt to strike back, but he evades the attack, leaping backwards. Using his Flowmotion ability, Devon dashes forward at the dark creature and quickly spins counterclockwise around its large body three times until he strikes it in the rear with a wide, right spinning slash, sending it flying. The Cera Terror bounces once along the ground off its head, flipping forward, then falls flat onto its belly, defeated. A Reptiladon charges at Devon while his back was turned, but he quickly whirls around and knocks it into the air with a left uppercut strike. Then, he kicks away the Dream Eater in mid-air with a right flying karate kick, sending it over towards Raika.

"Comin' at ya, Raika!" Devon says

The Velociraptor turns to the Keyblade Wielder on her left, hearing her name called, and saw the Reptiladon flying her way. She leaps up and catches the dark creature in her jaws, then shakes it around a bit before tossing it to the ground and finishing the Nightmare off with a bite to its neck. Devon and Raika regroup and face the Reptiladons and Sir Kyroos. Working together, they slice through the Dream Eaters one-by-one with a series of fast, powerful strikes, Devon using Soul Calibur, and Raika using her claws, dashing around each enemy until they were destroyed.

With all the other Dream Eaters defeated, Devon and Raika focused on the last one remaining: the Tyranto Rex. The black-skinned dinosaur takes two large steps forward, then rears its head back and unleashes a loud roar.

The Tyranto Rex strikes first with a dark-infused somersault, but Devon and Raika leap away, dodging the attack. Letting out a roar of her own, the Velociraptor dashes toward the Dream Eater. She leaps over to the right, evading the large jaws of the Nightmare T-Rex, then leaps up onto its left-side and climbs onto it's back, biting and clawing at the dark creature's body. The Tyranto Rex roars in pain and tries to shake off the raptor. While it was distracted, Devon dashes forward and leaps up to the head of the Nightmare dinosaur. He attacks with three somersault slashes, a right spinning uppercut slash, a backflip slash, and a downward slash, landing strong blows to the head. The Tyranto Rex snaps it's jaws at the Keyblade Wielder, but he drops down at the last second, dodging the creature's sharp teeth. Turning to the Velociraptor on its back, the Nightmare T-Rex flips Raika over on its right-side, reaches around and grabs hold of her tail using its jaws, then swings its head back and throws her off.

Devon pulls Soul Calibur across his body and charges it up with pure light, the crystal Keyblade glowing brighter and brighter with its blue color by the second. Once fully charged, he swings his magic weapon with a wide outward slash, launching a burst of eight light projectiles. Each of the blasts hit the Tyranto Rex in the face, causing it to stagger backwards. The large T-Rex Nightmare roars angrily and attacks with its fiery breath, unleashing a stream of flames from its mouth like a dragon. Holding Soul Calibur horizontally to the right with both hands, Devon surrounds himself and his Velociraptor companion in another spherical barrier, which shields them from the flames. The fire breath lasted for six seconds until it finally ceased, giving Devon and Raika their chance to attack as the barrier fades away. Working together, both human and dinosaur hit the Tyranto Rex from multiple directions, slashing the Dream Eater through claw and Keyblade with ten incredibly fast rushing strikes. Then, they leap up above the large T-Rex and smash down on its back, knocking it to the ground as it falls flat onto its belly and disappears in a dark flash.

With all the Dream Eaters defeated, the jungle was peaceful again with the squawking sounds of the island's birds in the air. Devon straightens himself up and dismisses his Keyblade, then turns right to face Alan, Lex, and Tim as they approached him. The kids were very impressed by Devon's skills and abilities, having seen it for themselves. Even Alan was impressed.

"Wow, Devon. You did it." Lex says

"That was so cool!" Tim says

"Thanks." Devon says

"Glad you're still in one piece." Alan says

"Likewise." Devon says

"How did you find us?" Lex asks

"I... had some help." Devon says glancing back over his left-shoulder at Raika as she approaches them

The Velociraptor stood alongside her human friend on his left, purring softly. Almost immediately, the Paleontologist and the kids were very nervous upon seeing the dinosaur. Raika gave curious looks at the new humans, tilting her head sideways, but Devon patted her side twice with his left-hand.

"Easy, girl. These are my friends." Devon says

Raika barks in understanding. Devon turns back to the others and introduces them to the Velociraptor.

"Alan, Lex, Tim, meet Raika." Devon says

Alan wasn't sure what to make of this friendship between Devon and Raika, knowing well-enough how deadly this prehistoric animal was. Yet here he was, alive and perfectly calm in the dinosaur's presence. Did he actually tame this raptor?

"Uh... Devon. You do realize that she's..." Alan says

"A Velociraptor? Yeah, I know. Don't worry, she's friendly. It's... a bit of a long story, which I don't think we really have time for." Devon says

"Agreed. We need to head for the Visitor's Center and regroup with the others." Alan says

"Right. Let's get moving." Devon says

And so, Devon, Raika, Alan, Lex, and Tim continue their journey through the park, sticking to the path in the jungle.

Over at the Visitor's Center, there was tension in the air in the Control Room. John Hammond had a radical suggestion on rebooting the park systems in order to regain control of the phones and call for help. However, the Chief Engineer, Ray Arnold, disapproved the idea, believing that it was a horrible idea, that the plan could backfire. Ian Malcolm, with his open black shirt, exposed chest, and bandaged broken leg, sat along the walkway with Ellie Sattler, who leaned against the railing, and Robert Muldoon, who sat on a desk nearby, hoping for some development to their situation.

"No, no, no, that's crazy. You're out of your mind. He's absolutely out of his mind." Arnold says

"Well... Wait a minute, what exactly would this mean?" Ellie asks

"We're talking about a calculated risk, my dear, which is about the only option left to us. We will never find the command that Nedry used. He's covered his tracks far too well. I think it's obvious now that he's not coming back. So, shutting down the entire system-" Hammond says walking over to Ellie and Ian before going back to Arnold

"You can get somebody else to do it because I won't. I will not." Arnold says

"Shutting down the entire system... is the only way to out everything that he did." Hammond says holding up his right-hand

Hammond walks back over to Ellie and Ian as he continued.

"Now, as I understand it, all the systems will then come back on their original start-up mode. Correct?" Hammond says glancing back at Arnold over his right-shoulder

"Theoretically, yes, but we've never shut down the entire system before. It may not come back on at all." Arnold says

"Will we get the phones back?" Ellie asks

"Yes, again, in theory." Arnold says

"What about the Lysine Contingency? We could put that into effect." Muldoon says glancing over at Hammond on his right

Ellie and Hammond turn towards Muldoon with different expressions. Ellie, curious about what the Lysine Contingency was, and Hammond, outright disgusted of the idea.

"What's that?" Ellie asks

"That is absolutely out of the question." Hammond says

Hammond walks away from the group for a moment, while Arnold explains.

"The Lysine Contingency's intended to prevent the spread of the animals if they ever got off the island. Dr. Wu inserted a gene that creates a single faulty enzyme in protein metabolism. The animals can't manufacture the amino acid, Lysine. Unless they're completely supplied with the Lysine by us, the animals slip into a coma and die." Arnold says

Having had enough of the argument, Hammond forcefully stomps his way over to Arnold with a furious expression and every ounce of authority in his being.

"People... are... dying!" Hammond says

A hushed silence fills the room. No one dare spoke a word. Arnold just stares up at his boss, while he looks down at him with fury in his eyes. Regaining his composure, Hammond spoke calmly.

"Will you please shut down the system." Hammond says

Arnold goes over to a switchboard, unlocks it with a set of keys, and opens it. Inside were three flat, black switches, each with blue labels on both sides full of mechanical details too complex to read and black labels listing them as, C-1, C-2, and C-3, and a fourth switch below these with a red label marked, 'Main'. He flips down the switch for C-3 first, then C-2 and C-1, shutting down the computers, the terminals, and all the park systems one by one. Muldoon grabs a flashlight as he waits for the last switch to be flipped. Arnold soon flips down the main switch, and the entire room plunges into near pitch-black darkness. An eerie stillness hangs in the air. They all wait in tense silence through several seconds until Arnold finally turns to the switchboard. He flips the three switches back up again, then goes down to the main switch. He hesitates for a moment, then glances back at the others over his left-shoulder.

"Hold onto your butts." Arnold says

The Chief Engineer flips the main switch back on, but nothing happens. Everything in the Control Room remained off. There is a long pause. Arnold's eyes glance up at the lights with concern and some slight awkwardness.

"Umm..." Arnold says

Then, a beeping sound is heard from one of the computers. Arnold goes over to check it out and his face turned triumphant. On the bottom-left corner of the screen were two fluorescent green words:

System Ready

"It's okay. Look, see that? It's on. It worked." Arnold says

Hammond, Ellie, and Muldoon walk over to have a look, except for Ian due to his leg.

"Wait a minute. What do you mean, 'It worked'? Everything's still off." Ian says

"Maybe the shutdown tripped the circuit breakers. All we have to do is turn them back on, reboot a few systems in here, telephones, security doors, half a dozen others, but it worked. System's ready." Arnold says

"Where are the breakers?" Muldoon asks

"Maintenance shed, the other end of the compound. Three minutes, I can have power back on in the entire park." Arnold says

And so, Arnold ventures out and leaves for the maintenance shed to reset the park's main breakers and restore power, while everyone else stayed. But rather than remain in the Control Room, Hammond suggested that he and the others move to a more secure location.

"Now, just to be safe, I want everybody in the emergency bunker until Mr. Arnold returns and the whole system is up and running again." Hammond says

Out in Jurassic Park, Devon, Raika, Alan, Lex, and Tim were walking through the park grounds, trekking across a large green plain with trees and mountains surrounding the area. Alan consults the park's map in the brochure, while Lex and Tim groaned from the long walk.

"I'm dirty. My legs hurt." Lex groans

"I'm hot. I'm tired." Tim groans

"Just keep going. The map says the Visitor's Center is just about one mile over that rise there. Just... keep..." Alan says

Suddenly, the group stops as they notice something a few miles out in the distance. It was a herd of dinosaurs, twenty to be exact. A herd of Gallimimus, ornithomimid theropods each 6.6 in height at the hip, and 26 feet in length, almost similar to that of a modern SUV, weighing anywhere from 352 to 970 pounds. These creatures had small heads, no teeth, long necks, arms with three-digit pronated hands, long tails, and ostrich-like feet for long-distance running up to 30 miles per hour. These Gallimimus had bright earth orange skin, a white underbelly, and brown stripes running along the length of their bodies from their heads to their tails.

"Whoa. Check that out." Devon says

"What is that? Tim. Tim, can you tell me what they are?" Alan asks

"Gr... Ga, uh, uh... Galla... Uh, Gallimimus." Tim says

"Are- Are those, um, meat-eating? Um, meat-asauruses?" Lex asks

"I don't think so." Devon says

As they watched them, the Gallimimus herd runs into a flock of birds, causing them to fly away. Startled, the dinosaurs instantly change direction, turning to the left. Alan takes two steps forward, amazed at the herding behavior.

"Look at the wheeling. Uniform direction changes. Just like a flock of birds evading a predator." Alan says

"They're, uh... Heh. They're flocking this way." Tim says with a nervous smile, taking four steps backwards

"Yeah... Uh... Maybe we should... move!" Devon says

Devon, Raika, Lex and Tim take off running down the plain with Alan following a second later as the herd of Gallimimus stampede toward them, each emitting loud, high-pitched squeals. The four humans run across the meadow as fast as they could, but the herd was much faster as the dinosaurs run past them. The group jumps over a large fallen tree and take cover in some space underneath it. The Gallimimus leap over the tree, their clawed feet landing dangerously close to Devon, Alan and the kids. Finally, the herd passes on, continuing their migration across the open plain. Devon, Raika, Alan, Lex, and Tim crawl underneath to the other side and peer over the top, watching the dinosaurs as they run alongside the trees of a nearby forest on the right. Suddenly, a loud roar sounds off from somewhere in the trees. A moment later, Rexy, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, bursts out from the forest ahead of the Gallimimus herd, cutting them off and throwing the animals into disarray, causing them to scatter. One unlucky Gallimimus trips, leaping over the Tyrannosaur's left-foot, and tries to get away, but the huge predator snatches the creature up in her jaws, biting down on its body. She sets her prey down on the grass, where it lets out a pained squeal as if begging for mercy, then bites down again, sinking her teeth into it's neck as she made the kill. Rexy shakes the Gallimimus around six times like a ragdoll, then drops her prey again. Holding down the dead Gallimimus with her right-foot, the T-Rex rips out a good chunk of the dinosaur's flesh and began to eat it. Devon, Alan and Tim stared at the great carnivore in fascination as she enjoyed her feast, while Lex stares nervously.

"I wanna go now." Lex whispers

"Look how it eats." Alan says

"Please." Lex whispers

"I bet you'll never look at birds the same way again." Alan says

"Yes." Tim says in agreement

"Go now." Lex whispers

"Okay. Keep low and follow me." Alan says

Devon, Raika, Alan and Lex slip away to the right, across the plain towards the jungle, while Tim remained where he was, still staring at Rexy in wonder.

"Look at how much blood." Tim says

Alan comes back and wraps his arms around Tim, picking him up and carrying him away. However, just as they all start heading back into the jungle, a loud, bellowing roar sounds off behind them. The group turns back, and they saw a large creature emerging from the trees where Rexy had emerged. It was another Dream Eater Nightmare, a monstrous one surrounded by a dark aura.

Cretasuchus, a huge crocodilian, 11 meters in length from head to tail, and 3 meters in height, nearly half the size of the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its appearance was similar to that of a Deinosuchus, the largest crocodilian in the fossil record. This monster had a huge body of armored dark gray scales, a dark blue underbelly, blood-red claws, a blunt head with powerful jaws full of jagged teeth, and a long, thick tail with black stripes along its length like an Iguana. Its back was covered in thick, spikey, osteoderm-lined magenta ridges, and its tail was compressed, yet muscular with a black-striped pattern running down its length like an Iguana's tail. On the top of crocodilian's head, behind its eyes, was the Nightmare Dream Eater sigil.

Rexy roared angrily at the Cretasuchus for the rude interruption of her meal, while the Dream Eater Nightmare responded with a roar of its own, moving aggressively towards the T-Rex with a high walk, it's belly and tail raised and held off the ground. It wasn't hungry for a small snack like the Gallimimus. It was hunting for a much bigger meal. It was hungry for some T-Rex. The Cretasuchus lunges forward, snapping its jaws at the Tyrannosaur, but she dodges the attack with a small leap backwards, keeping clear of it's sharp teeth.

Devon, Raika, Alan, Lex, and Tim reach the edge of the jungle when the Keyblade Wielder stops and looks back at the fight between the T-Rex and the Cretasuchus. Rexy stood her ground and snaps her jaws at the Dream Eater, only to be smacked across the face by the crocodilian's tail. As he watched the fight, something inside told Devon he had to help Rexy. Almost as if the T-Rex had a role to play in this world. The young hero glances back at the others over his left-shoulder for a moment, then runs back out into the plains with his Velociraptor companion following close behind.

"Devon! Wait!" Alan shouts

As he runs across the plains, Devon stretches his right-hand out to his side, summoning Soul Calibur back into his grip. Raika runs up alongside him on his left. Ahead of them, the Cretasuchus whips Rexy again with its tail, delivering a strong blow to her right-side and knocking her down. The Tyrannosaur hits the ground hard on her left-side. The Dream Eater walks toward the downed dinosaur with its mouth wide open, preparing to bite her. But just as the Cretasuchus was about to attack, Devon smashes against the left-side of its body with incredible strength, his body surrounded in a corona of blue light, knocking the dark creature away from Rexy. The Keyblade Wielder lands crouched down on his right-knee after dealing his blow to the Dream Eater Nightmare and he stands up straight just as Raika joins him on his left, getting into his stance with Soul Calibur held vertically at his side with both hands. Rexy rolls over to the right and gets back on her feet, shaking herself off as she recovered. The T-Rex noticed the human and the Velociraptor before her and acknowledged their help, knowing that they were no threat to her, unlike the other creature that attacked her. Speaking of which, the Cretasuchus rose back onto its feet and roared ferociously. Raika roars back at the dark creature, as does Rexy, and the two dinosaurs stood alongside Devon as they all prepared to fight the Crocodilian Nightmare.

The Cretasuchus makes the first move as it gallops toward the Keyblade Wielder and the dinosaurs in an aggressive charge. Devon dashes forward to meet the Dream Eater head-on. Within moments, the Crocodilian Nightmare attacks with its large jaws, rotating its head to the right as it lunges at the young hero. Devon leaps straight up into the air, dodging the Cretasuchus' jaws, and slams his crystal Keyblade down on its head with a strong overhead strike. Leaping off with a backflip, he continues his assault with fifteen quick side slashes, swinging Soul Calibur left and right at the dark creature's snout, then delivers a strong left spinning uppercut slash under its chin.

As the Keyblade Wielder attacked, Raika dashes in to assist him. The Velociraptor runs around to the right and leaps onto the back of the Cretasuchus, biting and clawing away at its body. The dark creature slowly starts to glow with a dark aura, which grew larger by the second until it explodes from its body as the Crocodilian Nightmare unleashes a loud, monstrous roar, blasting Devon and Raika away. Rexy stomps forward with a roar of her own and attacks with a charging headbutt, ramming into the Cretasuchus in a frontal assault. She then bites down on the Dream Eater's neck with her sharp teeth and tosses it aside to the right. The Cretasuchus hits the ground and rolls over on its side two times until it lands back on its feet.

The Cretasuchus turns around and stares at the T-Rex for a moment, then turns to the Keyblade Wielder and his Velociraptor companion on its left, knowing that he was the greater threat. Unleashing another loud roar, the Crocodilian Nightmare gallops forward in three leaps, and actually leaps up into the air, descending towards Devon with its gaping mouth wide open. The young teen didn't have time to get away. The Cretasuchus was coming towards him too fast. Acting quickly, Devon uses Reflect again and surrounds himself in another spherical barrier. Within moments, the huge creature comes crashing down on his position, kicking up a cloud of dust and dirt. Raika was blown away by the force of the impact and flips over on her left-side, but she leaps onto her feet. When the dust settles, Devon was still inside his barrier with Soul Calibur held horizontally to the left by both hands in defense but was now deep in the jaws of the Crocodilian Nightmare. He was like a ball caught in its mouth, waiting to be crushed. The Cretasuchus closes its jaws tight around Devon's barrier, exerting 23,111 pounds of bite force. The barrier was able to withstand the immense pressure thanks to Devon's magic, but it wouldn't last for long. Tiny cracks began to appear around the top and bottom of the barrier's surface and they slowly grew in size and length with each passing moment, branching off in multiple directions. Devon could feel the pressure building around him and he struggled to maintain his barrier against the creature's strength. Sweat beaded down his head and his muscles ached in tension.

"Gnnnnnh... Nnnnggghhh!" Devon grunts

Seeing her human friend in trouble, Raika rushes to help him. The Velociraptor leaps onto the Crocodilian's head and tears away at it's face. The Cretasuchus roars in pain, releasing Devon from its grip. The young hero falls out from the creature's mouth and his barrier shatters on impact with the ground. He flips over backwards and rolls across the grass on his left-side six times before landing flat on his stomach. Rexy stomps past Devon to the left and charges at the Cretasuchus, roaring loudly. The T-Rex clamps her jaws around the Dream Eater's neck and the Crocodilian Nightmare lets out another painful roar. The dark creature tries to break away, but Rexy maintains a firm grip, keeping it pinned to the ground.

Devon stands up, after having finally recovered, and saw both dinosaurs attacking the Cretasuchus. As he watched them, the Keyblade Wielder saw an opportunity to end the fight. Summoning Soul Calibur into his right-hand, Devon runs at full speed across the plains. As he gets closer, his crystal Keyblade glows with a blue-white aura of light. It glows brighter and brighter, becoming a shining, giant sword of light. Soon, he closes distance, turns his Keyblade over in a reverse grip, and leaps up high into the air, raising Soul Calibur above his head with the blade pointed downwards. Raika stops her attack, glances back over her right-side, and saw Devon flying in to deliver the death blow. She leaps off out of the way, while Rexy kept the Dream Eater pinned down. Devon performs an inverted flip, lands on the Crocodilian Nightmare, and stabs his glowing sword down through its head. The Cretasuchus roars loudly in agonizing pain and thrashes around violently for eight seconds until it immediately stops and the dark creature collapses with the red glow in its eyes fading away. Feeling no more resistance from the strange creature, Rexy releases her grip on the Cretasuchus' neck, letting its head fall to the ground. The Tyrannosaur stares down at the slain Dream Eater for a moment, then raises her head up high, unleashing a loud, triumphant roar.

With the Crocodilian Nightmare defeated, Devon removes Soul Calibur from its head, jumps off with a somersault, landing straight on his feet, and turns left to face the Cretasuchus. The Dream Eater's body starts to glow brightly, then the creature vanishes in a brilliant flash of light six seconds later, leaving behind the large imprint of its body in the grass as the only trace of its existence. Devon sighs with relief and dismisses his crystal Keyblade from his hand. He turns to Raika on his right and places his right-hand on her head, causing the dinosaur to purr in content. Then, the Keyblade Wielder and the Velociraptor face the T-Rex as she lowers her head down towards them, growling softly. Rexy sniffs them twice, getting a few whiffs of their scent, then snorts gently in their faces. She kept a peculiar gaze on Devon, her amber eyes locked onto his blue eyes as they made eye contact. And like Raika, the T-Rex felt a strange connection towards him. Her predatory instincts given way to a sense of understanding. Devon slowly brings his right-hand up towards Rexy and his palm comes into contact with her snout. His touch was strange, yet soft and gentle. Rexy felt an overwhelming sense of calm, emitting a deep, loud purr from her throat, and she closed her eyes.

Once again, Lex and Tim were fascinated, while Alan was left speechless. First, Devon tames a Velociraptor. Now, he tames a Tyrannosaurus Rex, the apex predator of the prehistoric era, the same one that tried to kill them. Rexy opens her eyes and gives the Keyblade Wielder two gentle licks of her large tongue and a soft nuzzle in gratitude for his aid. Devon smiles and strokes the left-side of her snout. Soon, the T-Rex pulls away and turns to her left, walking away across the plains towards the east. Devon watches Rexy as she continues on her path, then he and Raika goes to rejoin Alan and the kids as they head back into the jungle.

Outside the park, Ellie hastily descends down a metal staircase into the Emergency Bunker, which was set roughly ten feet below ground underneath the Control Room. The Chief Engineer, Ray Arnold, had been gone longer than he should have, and she was growing more and more nervous.

"Oh, God. Something went wrong. Something's happened. Something's wrong." Ellie says

Ellie enters a room where Ian, Hammond, and Muldoon have gathered as well. Inside were steel cabinets, shelves, and drawers full of emergency equipment and supplies. Ian was laid out over a table with Hammond on his right tending to his wounded leg as best as he could, while Muldoon stood behind them, pacing back and forth with his arms crossed.

"This is just a delay. All major theme parks have delays. When Disneyland opened in 1956, nothing worked." Hammond says

"But, John, if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." Ian says

"I can't wait anymore. Something's wrong. I'm gonna go get the power back on." Ellie says

"You can't just stroll down the road, you know?" Muldoon says

"Don't- Let's not be too hasty. He's only been gone..." Hammond says

Hammond looks down at his watch on his left-wrist and falls silent. Muldoon walks over towards the steel cabinets behind him with Ellie following him and takes out a set of keys, working on the lock that secured the cabinets.

"I'm going with you." Muldoon says

"Okay." Ellie says

The Game Warden unlocks the cabinet and pulls open the doors, revealing an impressive arsenal of weapons inside. There were M16 rifles, HK91 rifles, and SPAS-12 shotguns. Muldoon grabs a SPAS-12, loads six 12-gauge cartridge shells into the weapon through a slot on the underside near the trigger, then pumps the ammunition into the chamber with the back-and-forth motion of the sliding handguard underneath the gun's fore stock. Hammond goes over to some filing cabinets and digs out an armful of blueprints, carrying them with his right-arm. He brings the blueprints over to the table and spreads them out over Ian's wounded leg, causing him to wince in pain.

"Sorry." Hammond apologizes

Ellie and Muldoon join Hammond at the table as he looks down at the blueprints.

"Now, this isn't going to be just like switching on the kitchen light, but I think I can follow this and talk you through it." Hammond says

Hammond looks up at Ellie across from him and she nods with an understanding look. Glancing back over her right-shoulder, the Paleobotanist saw a bunch of walkie talkie radios on a metal shelf, which they could use for communication. These radios had two knobs along the top on the left-side, a small antenna on the right, and an LED display screen. Turning the first knob powers them on. Turning the second knob switches the radio's frequency onto different channels.

"Right." Ellie says

Ellie walks over to the shelf and grabs a pair of radios, two out of six that were docked in their charging stations on the shelf and turns the first knob clockwise with an audible click, switching them on. The LED display screens on the walkie talkies lights up green and a red power light illuminates on the top near the knob. She lifts the two walkie talkies from their charging stations, grabs a headset, and returns to the table.

"But, uh, it ought to be me really going." Hammond says gesturing to himself with his right-hand

"Why?" Ellie asks

"Well, I'm a... And you're a..." Hammond says gesturing to himself, then Ellie with the same hand

Ellie gives Hammond a stern look and smacks one of the radios into his right-hand.

"Look." Ellie says

"Come on. Let's go." Muldoon says

"We can discuss sexism in survival situations when I get back. Just take me through this step-by-step. I'll be on Channel 2." Ellie says as she and Muldoon back towards the door and points to the radio in Hammond's hand with her right index finger

"Right." Hammond says

Hammond turns the second knob on the radio counterclockwise and switches the frequency to Channel 2.

Ellie and Muldoon emerge from the bunker through the iron door of a concrete building with the Game Warden pushing the door open to the right and the Paleobotanist closing the door behind them. The main compound felt different now, as if it belonged to the jungle more than civilization. They head down a path, moving slowly and cautiously. From the path, Ellie and Muldoon walk up alongside the Raptor Pen, which now stands silent, surrounded by jungle. Looking up at the pen on their left, they notice a gaping hole in the fence. The metal was twisted, as if gnawed, and the hole was large enough for an animal to slip through. Muldoon traces the hole to the ground with his eyes and squats down low with Ellie. In the dirt, they saw three sets of two-toed footprints that were fresh, heading off towards the jungle foliage. The Velociraptors had escaped and were now loose.

"Oh, God." Ellie gasps

"The shutdown must've turned off all the fences. Damn it, even Nedry knew better than to mess with the Raptor Pen." Muldoon says

The Game Warden took off his hat and looked around for a moment before placing it back on.

"Come on, this way." Muldoon says glancing back at Ellie over his right-shoulder

Rising to their feet, Ellie and Muldoon continues onward.

After walking a bit from the Raptor Pen, Ellie looks down a path on her right. Through the jungle, she could see the Maintenance Shed, which appeared to be no more than fifty meters away from their position.

"I can see the shed from here. We can make it if we run." Ellie says

Muldoon stares off into the jungle ahead of him as if he heard something.

"No. We can't." Muldoon says

"Why not?" Ellie asks

"Because we're being hunted." Muldoon says

"Oh, God." Ellie gasps

"In the bushes, straight ahead." Muldoon says

Ellie turns to her right and faces the bushes. At first, she didn't see anything. But then, there's faint movement with a shift in the sunlight. A shadow moves in the bush, rustling the leaves.

"It's all right." Muldoon says

"Like hell it is." Ellie says

Muldoon slowly raises up his shotgun.

"Run. Towards the shed. I've got her." Muldoon says

Ellie backs up slowly down the path to the shed, ready to run. The shadow in the bushes moves again at an even pace with them, causing the palm leaves to shake.

"Go. Now!" Muldoon says glancing over at Ellie on his right

Ellie turns to her right and runs. She hits a fallen tree in her path, but she quickly climbs over it and heads for the shed, while Muldoon slowly walks further into the jungle, keeping his gun trained ahead of him. The Paleobotanist runs as fast as she could down the path in a broken sprint. She leaps over a log, swings across on a low hanging branch, jumps another log and hits a water puddle, dashing forward at top speed. Approaching the shed, Ellie pushes away the half-open metal gate, pulls the door to the shed open, runs inside and slams it shut behind her.

Now inside the shed, Ellie stands at the top of a metal staircase, staring down into the darkness below her. She calls out for the Chief Engineer, hoping that he was still alive somewhere.

"Mr. Arnold?" Ellie calls

Her voice echoes into the underground tunnels with no response. She calls out for him again.

"Mr. Arnold?" Ellie calls

Again, she gets no response. Beginning her descent down the stairs, Ellie puts on her headset and contacts John Hammond over the radio.

"John, I'm in." Ellie says

The Paleobotanist turns on her flashlight and continues down the stairs.

In the Emergency Bunker, Hammond looks over the blueprints for the Maintenance Shed as he guides Ellie through it step-by-step, clutching the radio in his right-hand.

"Great. Now, ahead of you is a metal staircase. Go down it." Hammond says

"Okay. Going down." Ellie says through the radio

"After 20 or 30 feet, you'll come to a T-junction. Take a left." Hammond says

"Just have her follow the main cable." Ian says pointing down at the blueprints with his right index finger

"I understand how to read a schematic." Hammond says glancing over at Ian on his right before looking back down

Out in the park, Devon, Raika, Alan, Lex, and Tim emerge from the jungle and approach the Perimeter Fence of Jurassic Park, arriving at the concrete base of the electric fence that surrounded the main compound. Alan climbs up onto the barrier and looks up at fence. He notices that the blue warning lights at the top of the fence posts were off, which must've meant the power was still off. As a safety test, the Paleontologist picks up a branch with his right-hand and throws it against fence. Nothing happens. Alan glances back at the others over his right-shoulder and shrugs.

"I guess that means the power's out." Alan says

Still not trusting the fence, Alan moves in slowly and reaches out for one of the cables with both hands. He closes his fingers around the cable and suddenly shakes and screams like he's being electrocuted. Lex and Tim scream themselves. Then, five seconds later, Alan stops and glances back over his right-shoulder with a wicked grin.

"That's not funny." Lex says unamused

"That was great." Tim laughs smiling at the joke

"I saw that coming." Devon says

Turning back to the fence, the Paleontologist thinks for a way through to the other side.

"Well, maybe we could..." Alan says

Alan tries to pull the power lines apart to make room for them to crawl through, but they wouldn't budge. Suddenly, a loud T-Rex roar is heard far in the distance, causing everyone to look back. They weren't sure if it was Rexy, a Dream Eater, or another dinosaur, and they weren't taking any chances. Devon, Raika, Lex and Tim quickly scramble up onto the concrete base and start their climb up the electric fence.

Back in the Maintenance Shed, Ellie navigates through the dark tunnels with her flashlight. There were mazes of pipes, air ducts, and electrical works both above and around her. Eventually, she turns left around a corner and stops, shining her flashlight at a yellow valve pipe and a wall.

"Damn it. Dead end." Ellie says

In the Emergency Bunker, Hammond stares down at the blueprints, confused by the layout. Perhaps Ellie must've missed a turn somewhere in the tunnels.

"Uh, wait a minute, wait a minute. There should have been a right turn back there somewhere." Hammond says

Ian snatches the radio out of the old man's hand and takes over.

"Ellie, look above you." Ian says

In the tunnels, Ellie follows Ian's guidance and glances up at the ceiling, shining her light on the cables and pipes above her.

"There should be a large bundle of cables and, uh, pipes all heading in the same direction. Follow that." Ian says through the radio

Tracing the cables and pipes with her flashlight, the Paleobotanist follows them down the main corridor.

"Okay. Following the piping." Ellie says

Back at the Perimeter Fence, Devon, Alan, Lex, and Tim were now halfway up the fence. Raika was already on the other side thanks to her agility and was now waiting for the others.

"Timmy, I bet I could climb over the top and be on the other side before you could even get to the top." Lex says

"What would you give me? " Tim asks

"Respect." Lex says

"Come on, guys. It's not a race." Alan says

In the maintenance tunnels, Ellie reaches the end of the corridor and finally finds the circuit breakers, a gray box behind a mesh metal gate. The breakers were a Westinghouse SPB-100 that handled currents up to 4,000 amps, which was required for the large amount of electricity needed to operate Jurassic Park, and this was connected to lower circuit breakers for the individual park systems.

"I see the box. It says 'High Voltage'. Yeah. Okay." Ellie says

The Paleobotanist pushes past the metal gate and walks toward the breakers. She pushes down on the box handle and pulls away the cover door to the right, revealing the circuit breakers inside, a primer handle to the right, and three colored buttons along with some technical information, each one was kept separated in boxed sections by white lines and labeled with white words. At the top were 'Stored Energy', 'Contact Position', and their status indicators that read: 'Discharged' with a white background, and 'Open' with a green background. In the middle section was 'Push to Charge' on the left with a yellow button, and on the right was 'Push to Close' with a green button. Finally, on the bottom was 'Push to Open' on the right with a red button, and on the left was some other information that said:

For Emergency Reasons.
The mechanism stored
energy may be discharged
without closing the breaker.
For this procedure plus
Instructions prior to
cover removal

Refer to I.L. 15082

By this point, Devon, Alan, Lex, and Tim had reached the top of the Perimeter Fence and they swing their legs over one-by-one.

"Good. Here we go. Over the top." Alan says

Once they were on the other side of the fence, they start their climb downwards. Alan and Lex climb down the fence with ease, while Tim was having some difficulty in his climb.

"Take your time, Tim. That's good. Come on. Find your footing. Find your footing." Alan says

At the Emergency Bunker, Hammond was given back control of the radio. Speaking through it, he gives Ellie the first step on resetting the circuit breakers.

"Ellie, you can't throw the main switch by hand. You've got to pump up the primer handle in order to get the charge. It's large, flat and grey." Hammond says

In the Maintenance Shed, the Paleobotanist finds the primer handle on main breakers next to the buttons on her right exactly as described.

"All right, here I go. Okay?" Ellie says

Grabbing the gray handle with both hands, Ellie lifts it up the four times, pumping the electric charge into the circuit breakers. The handle was sluggish, forcing Ellie to put her right-shoulder against it for more leverage.

"One... two... three... four." Ellie grunts

On the fourth pump, the indicator under 'Stored Energy' is pushed downward, changing from 'Discharged' to 'Charged' with a yellow background same as the button underneath it.

"Okay. Charged." Ellie says

Hammond moves on and gives Ellie the next step in the process.

"Now, under the words 'Contact Position', there's a round, green button which says, 'Push to Close'." Hammond says

Ellie looks down at the buttons with her right index finger hovering over them. She soon laid her eyes on the green button.

"'Push to Close'. Okay." Ellie says

"Push it." Hammond says through the radio

The Paleobotanist pushes the button and the indicators under 'Stored Energy' and 'Contact Position' changes from 'Charged' to 'Discharged', and 'Open' to 'Closed'. In an instant, power is restored to the lower circuit breaker and twelve white indicator lights flash on near the control panel. Each of these indicators were clearly labeled for different area of Jurassic Park. From top to bottom, the park systems were listed as thus:

HERBIVORE FEEDING COMPOUND

VISITOR CNTR. COMPOUND

VISITOR CNTR. CONTROL RM.

VISITOR CNTR. TOUR

GENETICS/FERTILIZATION/HATCHERY

GROUNDS TOUR

GROUND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM

MAINTENANCE SHED/BUNKER

CARNIVORE FEEDING COMPOUND

VELOCIRAPTOR PEN FENCE

T-REX PADDOCK FENCE

PERIMETER FENCE

Alongside each park indicator on the left were two buttons vertically aligned. A green button on the bottom, which was currently lit up, and a red button above it, once pressed, will allow power to flow to the specified area.

At the Perimeter Fence, Devon, Alan and Lex drop down the last few feet, landing on the other side of the fence, while Tim was still making his climb down. Suddenly, a loud klaxon alarm sounds off and the blue warning lights on the fence start to flash on and off.

"Ah!" Tim exclaims

The sudden noise causes Tim to lose his footing and he nearly falls off the fence, but he pulls himself back up and regains control.

In the Emergency Bunker, Hammond gives Ellie the third and final step for restoring power to the park.

"Now, Ellie, the red buttons turn on the individual park systems. Switch 'em on." Hammond says

In the Maintenance Shed, Ellie lifts open the clear cover for the first set of buttons and pushes the red button with her right-thumb, which lights up immediately after being pressed. The indicator for the Herbivore Feeding Compound lights up with the same red color, meaning that power was now active for that location. The Paleobotanist moves downward on the column to activate the other switches, pressing the red button for each one and working her way towards the bottom, to the one labeled 'PERIMETER FENCE', where Devon, Alan, and the kids were at now.

Outside, at the Perimeter Fence, Devon, Alan, and Lex call out to Tim, who was still far up on the fence. The young boy remained frozen where he was, terrified.

"Tim!" Devon shouts

"Timmy!" Alan shouts

"Get down now!" Lex shouts

"You're gonna have to jump!" Alan shouts

"You crazy?! I'm not gonna jump!" Tim exclaims glancing back over his left-shoulder

"Tim, you gotta move! The power's coming back on!" Devon shouts

"Tim! Do what they say!" Lex shouts

"Just let go! I'll count to three! One! Two! Three!" Alan shouts

Alan spreads out his arms, expecting Tim to jump, but the small boy refused to let go.

In the Maintenance Shed, Ellie, by this point, was now halfway down the list of the park's systems, pushing the red buttons for 'GROUNDS TOUR' and the 'GROUND SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM'. Every button she pressed brought her closer and closer to the bottom.

Back at the Perimeter Fence, Tim still refused to move. Unable to convince him, Alan decided to go up and get Tim down himself.

"Timmy, I'm coming up. I'm coming up to get you." Alan says

As he moves toward the fence, the Paleontologist turns to the young girl and the Keyblade Wielder.

"Lex, Devon, I've gotta get Tim. You both sit tight." Alan says

"You won't make it in time, Alan. That fence could come online at any second. You'll both get electrocuted." Devon says

Moving up towards the fence, Devon calls out to Tim in a last-ditch effort to convince him to jump.

"Listen to me, Tim! You can do it! Just be brave! We'll catch you!" Devon says

The Keyblade Wielder's words seemed to have gotten through to the young boy as he glanced back at him over his left-shoulder. Mustering up his courage, Tim prepared himself to jump.

"Okay. I'm gonna count to three." Tim says

At the circuit breakers, Ellie pushes the button for the 'CARNIVORE FEEDING COMPOUND', then moves down to the 'VELOCIRAPTOR PEN', getting even closer to the bottom.

"One..." Tim says

Ellie pushes the button for the 'T-REX PADDOCK', and then...

"Two..." Tim says

In that moment, the power for the fence comes back on and sparks fly. Tim is cut off mid-sentence and he's literally thrown from the fence. Alan catches Tim in his arms and they both fall to the ground. Devon and Lex rush over to them.

"Timmy! Timmy!" Lex screams

"Is he alright?!" Devon asks

Alan places his right-hand and his left-ear down on Tim's chest, checking for his heartbeat, but feels and hears nothing from his body.

"He's not breathing." Alan says

In the Maintenance Shed, Ellie watches as the white lights in the corridor switch on one-by-one, coming back on in rows towards her.

"Mr. Hammond, I think we're back in business." Ellie says smiling at the accomplishment

Suddenly, the head of a vicious Velociraptor bursts through the bundles of cables behind the Paleobotanist near the control panel with a screeching roar. It was the Big One. Ellie immediately moves away from the dinosaur, screaming in terror with her back against the metal gate. The Velociraptor lunges forward with her claws and teeth, but her body was tangled amongst the electric cables.

"Goddamn!" Ellie screams

Ellie runs out of the aisle and slams the gate closed, just as the Big One untangles herself from the cables and pounces. The dinosaur smashes against the gate with its claws and feet clinging to the metal wires, causing the Paleobotanist to fall to the ground, and tries to push itself through the gate, but Ellie kicks it shut with both legs. She stands up and backs away towards the wall near some yellow pipes. Then, a dark-skinned arm falls onto her right-shoulder. Ellie jumps with fright but calms down once she saw it and recognized who the arm belonged to.

"Oh, Mr. Arnold." Ellie sighs

The Paleobotanist moves away from the wall, revealing that it was only his dismembered right-arm, all bloody and torn around the end that connected to the shoulder. Ellie backs away and gasps with fear as Arnold's arm falls to the floor, not realizing that she's moving back near the metal gate. The Velociraptor comes at her again, smashing against the gate with a loud screech, and Ellie takes off running as fast as she can, back the way she came. As she runs, the Big One pulls away the metal mesh in the gate, creating an opening for it to bypass the fence. Ellie drags the flashlight behind her on its cord, her headset dangling as she flees down the corridor. She reaches the stairs on her left and quickly races up the metal steps. As she does, the raptor scrambles down the corridor, giving chase. The Paleobotanist could hear the dinosaur's footsteps clanking behind her, but she doesn't look back. Ellie reaches the top of the stairs, throws open the door and heads out into the jungle, slamming the door shut. Once outside, Ellie runs out the fence, closes the gate behind her with her right-hand, and collapses onto the ground, hyperventilating and panting for breath.

Elsewhere in the jungle, Muldoon creeps slowly through the foliage, tracking his prey. He ducks down on a low ridge for a moment, scanning the area, then climbs down. Muldoon continues on down the trail until he stops, hearing the purrs of the Velociraptor and seeing movement in the bushes ahead of him as the jungle leaves rustle loudly. He can see just a trace of the raptor's gray skin as it moves behind the bushes, staying camouflaged enough to deny him a decent shot. Muldoon sets up a position behind a log and places his hat down on top of it. He flips the foldable stock of his SPAS-12 back, clicking it into place with his right-arm, and folds the back end of the stock downwards as he prepares to take aim. A snake slithers across a tree branch, past what looks like the large iris of a flower. The flower blinks. It's the eye of the Velociraptor. Muldoon sees it and raises his gun. Instead of running away, the raptor rises slowly out of the brush, fully revealing itself to Muldoon, hissing at him. His finger tenses on the trigger, his eye aiming down the iron sight. Muldoon was determined to kill the Velociraptor, something he believed should've been done a long time ago. Suddenly, before he could shoot, there's movement in the brush right alongside him on the left. Muldoon's eyes flick to the side and another raptor reveals itself with its head poking through the jungle foliage, hissing at him. It was the exact same hunting tactic that Alan described back at the dig site in Montana. Although initially shocked and horrified, the Game Warden was actually impressed by the trap and uttered only two words in his final moments.

"Clever girl." Muldoon says

Muldoon turns to shoot the Velociraptor, but he wasn't fast enough. The dinosaur leaps out of the bushes and pounces onto the man, tackling him to the ground just as he fires his weapon. Muldoon screams and falls backwards, the predator locked on top of him, all tooth and claw. The Velociraptor bites down on his face with her sharp teeth and viciously mauls him to death while he screams. Soon, Muldoon's screams fall silent, replaced by the snarls of the dinosaur. As the second raptor makes the kill, the first raptor strides slowly forward and watches approvingly.

At the Perimeter Fence, Tim was still not moving. The young boy was laid out flat on his back while Alan performed CPR, alternating between chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth as he tried desperately to resuscitate him. Lex stood nearby on his left with Devon and Raika as they watched. She was already crying, fearing that she had lost her younger brother. The Keyblade Wielder hugged her, doing his best to console her. Alan pushes down on Tim's chest fifteen times with both hands, one on top of the other, then breathes into his mouth to blow air into his lungs.

"Tim!" Alan exclaims

There's no response. Alan tries again. He pushes down on Tim's chest with four more compressions, then gives him mouth-to-mouth.

"No, Tim!" Alan exclaims

Alan breathes into the small boy's mouth, and finally, Tim is breathing again as he coughs. Everyone is relieved to see him alive. Alan gently sits Tim upright with his left-hand and strokes his head with his other hand.

"Good boy. Good boy, Tim." Alan says

Once he caught his breath, Tim finishes his countdown after being electrocuted.

"...Three." Tim wheezes

Everyone smiles.

"All right let's go. The Visitor's Center is not far off." Devon says

"Hopefully Ellie and the others are still there." Alan says

Devon and Raika went on ahead, taking the lead with Alan carrying Tim in his arms and Lex following close behind as they continued heading for the Visitor's Center and the final stage of their adventure.

Author's Note: We're back on Day 2 in Jurassic Park. Devon is reunited with Alan Grant, Lex and Tim Murphy, and they proceed with their trek through Jurassic Park.
