Chapter-81: Day 2- Race

Erza giggled softly as she gazed out the window, her breath still catching from the night's activities. The early morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the room.

"It's morning. All night…" she said, her voice a mix of contentment and exhaustion. She lay on her back, her hair splayed messily around the bed, her neck and shoulders marked with faint, lingering traces of their passionate night. Natsu, too, bore similar marks, a testament to their fervor.

"Oh, was it too much, love?" Natsu teased, a playful grin on his face.

Erza looked up at him, her legs still wrapped around his waist, keeping him in place. Her eyes sparkled with mischief and affection. "Don't tempt me. I might just keep you here all day."

Natsu chuckled, leaning in to kiss her forehead. "I'd be more than happy to oblige. But we've got a big day ahead. The games are starting soon."

Erza sighed dramatically, though her smile betrayed her amusement. "Fine, fine. But after the games, we're picking up where we left off."

Natsu laughed, his eyes warm with love. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

As they disentangled and prepared for the day ahead, their shared smiles and quiet exchanges spoke of their deep connection and the joy they found in each other's company.

Later

"WELCOME! TO DAY TWO OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES!" Mato's booming voice echoed through the arena, his excitement palpable as the crowd erupted into a frenzy of cheers and applause.

"Today's challenge," he continued with a dramatic pause, "is a Race! And thanks to the help of Silver-Eye, the original challenge has been massively improved for a better experience!" The crowd cheered even louder at the mention of Natsu.

The arena buzzed with energy as competitors lined up at the starting point, their expressions ranging from confident to nervous. Wendy stood among them, her eyes shining with excitement. She glanced around at the other competitors, sizing them up.

Mato's voice echoed across the stadium, introducing each competitor with dramatic flair.

"From Fairy Tail Team A, the Amethyst-Eyed Midnight Queen, Seilah Dragneel!" The crowd roared as Seilah, with her piercing amethyst eyes, waved confidently to the audience.

"From Fairy Tail Team B, known as The Storm, Child of Dragneel, Wendy Marvell Dragneel!" Wendy received a massive cheer from the crowd, her fans waving and shouting encouragement. She smiled and waved back, her eyes flashing with determination.

"From Sabertooth, The White Dragon, Sting Eucliffe!" Sting stepped forward, his usual smirk in place.

"From Lamia Scale, Yuka Suzuki!" Yuka gave a quick nod to the audience, his face set in a serious expression.

"From Mermaid Heel, Risley Law!" Risley waved energetically, a wide grin on her face, soaking in the crowd's support.

"From Lost, The Azure Knight, known as The Thunder!" The mysterious knight, clad in blue armor that shimmered like the sky, raised a hand in acknowledgment, his face hidden behind his helmet.

"From Primal, The Gold Knight, The Lightbringer!" The Lightbringer, adorned in golden armor that gleamed under the sunlight, stood tall and proud, his presence radiating strength and honor.

"And last, From Blue Pegaus, Ichiya Kotobuki."

As the competitors took their places, Seilah made her way over to Wendy, a warm smile gracing her face. "Do your best, dear," she said softly, wrapping Wendy in a comforting hug. Her touch was gentle as she placed her hands on Wendy's cheeks, leaning down to kiss her forehead affectionately.

Wendy beamed up at her, the warmth of her mother's gesture filling her with even more determination. "I will, Mom," she replied, her voice filled with resolve and confidence. She felt a surge of energy and reassurance from Seilah's encouragement, ready to take on the challenge ahead.

Natsu manifested in the air, his six wings catching everyone's attention. With a grand wave of his hand, a colossal race track materialized, its scale dwarfing even Crocus. The track was filled with numerous obstacles, designed to test the competitors' skills and endurance.

"As I mentioned earlier," Mato's voice echoed through the arena, "Silver-Eye was kind enough to assist us with the race. This track, as massive as it appears, is actually even larger due to various magical enhancements. It spans approximately 1,000 kilometers in distance."

The announcement drew gasps from the crowd and competitors alike.

"All participants are required to complete 30 laps to finish this challenge!" Mato continued.

"30 laps?! That's impossible!" Risley Law from Mermaid Heel exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief. "One lap would take a day, and you expect us to do 30? Are you—"

Her protest was cut off by Natsu's booming voice. "A mage who is truly powerful should be able to reach at least hypersonic speed—Mach 15. For those who might not be familiar with the technical details, that translates to about 20,000 kilometers per hour or exactly 5.56 kilometers per second. At such speeds, completing one lap would take approximately 3 minutes. With 30 laps, the total time would be 90 minutes. The time limit for this challenge is 120 minutes. Impossible? Sounds like you are an incompetent mage. Anyone else feel like they're an incompetent mage? Hmm?" Natsu's tone was laced with mockery, challenging anyone who doubted the feasibility of the race.

Risley opened her mouth to protest but was interrupted once again by Wendy, who cast her a bored look. "If you think it's SO impossible, just drop out. Don't push your whining on the competent ones." Wendy emphasized the word "competent," her tone dripping with disdain.

Seilah giggled beside Wendy, clearly enjoying the exchange.

Ichiya and Yuka stayed silent, but their expressions conveyed their shared recognition of the challenge's difficulty.

"This is a competition for the strongest guild," Sting said, his tone sharp and annoyed. "What did you expect? There's no place for weaklings on the battlefield."

Wendy giggled, a mischievous glint in her eye. "You have the right idea, but you're still blind to something. An ass-whooping would do you good."

"Shut up," Sting scoffed, clearly irked by Wendy's taunts.

Natsu's voice boomed once more, filling the arena with authority. "Will you play or turn around and prove everyone that you're indeed inferior?" His words were a challenge, pushing the competitors to confront their doubts head-on.

The atmosphere in the arena grew tense as the competitors prepared to tackle the daunting race. Wendy took a deep breath, her gaze firmly fixed on the starting line. With a final encouraging nod from her mother, Seilah, she steeled herself for the challenge ahead.

Begrudgingly, Risley and the others who had doubts chose to remain in the challenge, their resolve wavering but not broken. The murmurs of skepticism spread through the crowd, with some spectators questioning the feasibility and fairness of such a grueling challenge.

In the stands, whispers grew louder as fans and competitors alike grappled with the enormity of the race. Questions about the challenge's fairness and the validity of its design swirled through the crowd. Despite the doubts, the sense of anticipation and excitement for the race was palpable.

As Mato began the countdown, a grin spread across Natsu's face. "Show them, princess, what a Dragneel IS," he whispered to himself.

"1… 2… 3… GO!"

With a burst of white light, Sting shot down the track, his speed impressive but still not enough to silence his doubts. "13.234 km/h… 13.986 km/h… C'mon, I can do more!" he urged himself. "27.789 km/h," he thought, a grin forming on his face as he pushed his magic further.

Sting's pace allowed him to cover over 7 kilometers per second, each step propelling him faster. Suddenly, a massive shockwave nearly threw him off balance. He glimpsed a blur of lightning and wind racing past him. As the blur slowed, he saw Wendy. She turned towards him, giving a cheeky wink and a wave. "Bye, bye!" she called out, her voice barely audible over the wind.

In an instant, she was back to full speed, leaving Sting in her wake.

"35,000 km/h, 10 km/s, this should do for now," Wendy thought, focusing on maintaining her breakneck pace while navigating the complex course ahead. Her effortless speed and playful demeanor contrasted sharply with the strain and frustration visible on Sting's face.

Sting, his frustration mounting, pushed himself to the limit. "29,897… 33,997… 36,134!" he shouted, increasing his speed as he tried to close the gap between himself and Wendy, who skated effortlessly over the ground.

"Oh? Well, you are quite fast, aren't you?" Wendy remarked casually, her voice light despite the high-speed chase.

Before Sting could retort, a dark blur flashed past him and stopped beside Wendy. It was Seilah, her large wings casting a broad shadow over the track. "C'mon, dear," she called out with a playful tone, "if you win, I'll make your favorite dessert." She flapped her wings gently, effortlessly surpassing both Sting and Wendy.

"Seilah completes one lap!" the announcer's voice rang out.

Seilah flew at a remarkable 55,000 km/h, or over 15 km/s, a fraction of her true speed. Wendy, seeing the challenge, laughed with delight. "You're on!" she exclaimed, and with that, she pushed herself even faster, reaching an astonishing 68,700 km/h.

"Wendy completes one lap!" echoed the announcement, the crowd roaring in response. Wendy's playful determination and Seilah's encouraging promise had set a thrilling pace for the race.

With the audience

In the stands, the audience was buzzing with astonishment and disbelief.

"It's been less than 2 minutes?!" someone exclaimed, their voice tinged with amazement. "How can they move so fast?"

Another spectator, wide-eyed, added, "I thought the speeds mentioned were exaggerated, but this is unbelievable!"

Someone else, shaking their head in disbelief, remarked, "The sheer power and speed these mages are demonstrating is off the charts. I've never seen anything like it!"

Whispers and murmurs of awe spread through the crowd as they watched the competitors, particularly Wendy and Seilah, zipping around the track at incredible velocities. The challenge had clearly exceeded everyone's expectations, leaving the spectators in awe of the competitors' extraordinary abilities.

A few minutes later

A few minutes later, Wendy had completed 7 more laps, her pace steady and her confidence growing. However, she soon found herself growing bored with the challenge. The track was an excellent idea, but Natsu had ensured it was still manageable for even the most average mages.

"Well, I had my fun," Wendy murmured to herself, a mischievous glint in her eyes. Without warning, her speed skyrocketed.

In an instant, Wendy's velocity surged to a staggering 514,286 km/h, approximately 143 km/s, or Mach 417. The track blurred around her as she effortlessly sped through it.

"Mato, what's happening?!" someone shouted in disbelief.

Mato's voice trembled with confusion as he tried to keep up. "Wendy completes her 8th lap… wait, 9th… 10th? How is this even possible?"

The crowd remained in stunned silence as Wendy completed lap after lap, each one taking less than 7 seconds. Her displayed speed, though impressive, was still just a fraction of her true potential. The sheer power and control she exhibited set a new standard, showcasing the extraordinary capabilities of a Dragneel.

"Fairy Tail Team B takes the win with a stunning 9 minutes and 52 seconds!" Mato announced, his voice booming over the arena as the crowd erupted into cheers and applause.

A couple of minutes later, Seilah crossed the finish line, completing the race in a commendable time. Her impressive performance added to Fairy Tail's dominance in the event.

In third place was Sting, who, thanks to his White Drive, managed to achieve speeds of 56,300 km/h. He finished in 32 minutes, a significant improvement but still far from matching the top contenders.

Lost came in fourth place with a time of 37 minutes, while Primal secured fifth place at 39 minutes.

As for Mermaid Heel, Lamia Scale, and Blue Pegasus, they struggled to keep up with the pace. Despite their best efforts, they didn't manage to complete a single lap, highlighting the immense challenge of the race and the gap between the top competitors and the rest.

The atmosphere in the arena was electric as Mato announced the matchups for the day.

"Match 1: Lamia Scale's Toby Horhorta versus Primal's Gold Knight, The Lightbringer!" Mato's voice echoed, and the crowd responded with mixed reactions, curious about the clash between these two formidable mages.

"Match 2: Mermaid Heel's Kagura Mikazuchi versus Saber Tooth's Yukino Agria." The mention of Kagura Mikazuchi drew a collective gasp from the audience, particularly those familiar with her renowned strength. Jellal, hidden atop the arena, widened his eyes at the name.

"Mikazuchi? Simon's sibling most likely," Natsu said, his voice laced with recognition.

Erza nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Yes, I remember Simon mentioning having a younger sister. And that cloaked girl dressed in that battle bikini? Miliana, 100%," she added with a giggle. "Quite the look, isn't it?"

"Match 3: Blue Pegasus's Jenny Realight versus Fairy Tail Team B's Mirajane Strauss." The crowd murmured in anticipation at the prospect of seeing these two powerful mages face off.

"Match 4: Lost's Silver Knight, Clarent versus Fairy Tail Team A's The Legend, The King of Kings, SILVER-EYED DEVIL, Natsu Dragneel!" Mato's declaration elicited a roar of excitement from the audience. The name Silver-Eyed Devil carried with it an aura of invincibility. Wizards Saints and entire armies of mages and demons had failed to defeat him; even Etherion had been unable to leave a scratch.

Natsu Dragneel, standing proudly amidst the cheers, was recognized not just as a formidable mage but as a god among men. His reputation preceded him, and the crowd knew that witnessing him in action was a rare and momentous occasion.

The matches were set, and the anticipation for the day's events was palpable.

"Well, love, expect you'll have some fun," Roxy said with a knowing smile as she looked at Natsu.

Natsu grinned, his fangs on full display. "Yeah, I expect as much."

Match One:

The first match was a complete disappointment. Despite Primal's intention to keep a low profile, he had no patience for an opponent like Toby Horhorta from Lamia Scale. With barely a flick of his hand, The Lightbringer sent Toby crashing out of the arena and into the hospital, ending the match almost instantly.

Match Two:

The second match was much more daring. Yukino Agria from Saber Tooth challenged Kagura Mikazuchi of Mermaid Heel to a high-stakes duel with a wager on the line—the winner would claim the loser's life. Kagura accepted the terms, and Yukino revealed her Celestial Spirit Magic, which made Lucy's eyes widen in surprise. Lucy had been unable to use that magic ever since her ascension. Despite Yukino's valiant effort, Kagura's superior skill and experience led her to victory.

Match Three:

The third match between Mirajane Strauss and Jenny Realight turned out to be an unexpected spectacle. Rather than engaging in a fierce battle, the two competitors decided to do a photo shoot. The session was tasteful and non-provocative, reflecting Mirajane's status as a married woman and mother. The match was declared a draw, leaving both women with a unique memory rather than a conventional victory.

Match Four:

The arena buzzed with excitement as the final match of the day approached. Clarent from Lost, clad in full silver armor with white and blue accents, made his entrance. The crowd cheered in anticipation of his battle with the legendary Natsu Dragneel.

Suddenly, a storm of black feathers erupted in the center of the arena. From the swirling darkness, Natsu appeared, seated on a pitch-black throne, his silver slitted eyes glowing ominously. The dramatic entrance only heightened the already intense atmosphere.

"Natsu Dragneel," Clarent addressed, his voice echoing through the arena with a mix of respect and challenge. His silver armor gleamed under the arena lights, and his stance was firm and unwavering.

Natsu's eyes glinted with a fierce light as he met Clarent's gaze. "Clarent," he replied, his tone casual but filled with an edge of anticipation. "You've caught my attention—not an easy feat. I'm usually preoccupied with dealing with my brother."

"Ah, yes, the other one, Zeref," Clarent said, nodding. "I'm not sure who is more of a problem, you or him."

"I'd wager it's me," Natsu said with a confident smirk, his aura radiating power and determination.

"Most likely," Clarent agreed, nodding thoughtfully. "Your Curse, Ragnarok, single-handedly scares any immortal beings who fear death. And yet, Zeref could be considered the bigger problem, given how he was responsible for your abilities."

"You'd be surprised how little of my true ability Zeref actually understands," Natsu replied, a hint of pride in his voice. "He is a Transcendent being, yet he doesn't grasp the full extent of what I can do. After all, my whole thing is being… unique."

Clarent's eyes narrowed, intrigued. "Unique, indeed. Quite the battles you've had, with Ignia and Acnologia—very destructive."

"Oh, you saw them?" Natsu replied with a playful smirk. "Well, I aim to always make quite the show."

"Indeed," Clarent continued, his tone serious. "A show that was witnessed by every transcended being in the multiverse. Such battles are quite problematic, especially with your casual dismissal of the laws of existence."

Natsu raised an eyebrow, his expression shifting to one of mild curiosity. "Are you trying to hold me responsible for the hundreds of planets and stars destroyed? Is that not what the Battle World is for? Absolute destruction?"

Clarent's gaze was steady, unyielding. "Destruction on such a scale has consequences. Even within the Battle World, there are limits and considerations. Your actions, while impressive, affect far more than just the immediate battleground."

Natsu chuckled, his voice carrying a hint of challenge. "Limits and considerations are fine, but when you're fighting beings as powerful as Ignia and Acnologia, sometimes you have to break a few rules. I'm sure you understand that."

"And what if you can't?" Clarent pressed. "What if you can't access the Battle Realm? Will you start destroying habitable worlds?"

Natsu's eyes gleamed with fierce determination. "If I couldn't access the Battle Realm," he said, his voice steady and resolute, "then I'd find another way. I don't intend to destroy habitable worlds, but if it comes down to it, I'll do what's necessary to win."

Clarent nodded thoughtfully. "Even with your power, balance is crucial. Destruction is a tool, not a weapon of convenience. You should know that. You are a God of Twilight, more of a Balance god than a God of Light and Darkness, correct?"

Natsu's brow furrowed slightly, his expression curious. "And how do YOU know that? It's not something known by many."

Clarent's gaze was steady as he met Natsu's challenging look. "It's not widely known," he admitted, "but even gods have their reputations and whispers. Balance isn't just about light and darkness; it's about the equilibrium that keeps everything in check. Your role as a God of Twilight, rather than simply a deity of light or darkness, implies a deeper understanding of that balance."

Natsu's eyes narrowed, intrigued. "So you've done your homework. Impressive."

Clarent nodded slightly. "It's essential to understand those we face. Even gods must navigate the intricacies of power and responsibility. While destruction can be a means to an end, it's crucial to recognize when it's merely a weapon of convenience rather than a necessity."

Natsu's expression softened into a smirk. "I don't disagree. But it's not like the Battle Realm is going to disappear."

"You are strong, Dragneel. A genius of magic and a warrior who will surely reach the heights of beings like the Primordial Dragons and the Kings of Gods. Yet, you are still young—not even a century old."

Natsu raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what does that have to do with our debate? Enlighten me, since I'm still just a brat."

"You have much to learn, and I think you know that," Clarent replied. "One of those lessons is restraint."

"Is that it? You think I need to learn to hold back?" Natsu's tone was challenging, his eyes locked onto Clarent's. "You do realize I could destroy all life on this planet with a flick of my wrist? The planet itself would only survive because it's reinforced with primordial magic."

Clarent's gaze remained steady. "You know how to control the level of destruction, but do you understand how to fight at the level of cosmic destruction without actually causing it?"

Natsu's eyes narrowed slightly. "You're talking about the potency of attacks? I'm familiar with that."

"Then show me. Prove that you are more than just a beast of destruction, E.N.D."

Natsu scoffed, feeling a mix of irritation and challenge. "Oh, I will."

With the other competitors

Jura gulped, his expression a mix of shock and realization. "Did—did he just say he's related to Zeref? And that he is E.N.D.? That— that makes so much sense. The council was literally poking the Devil."

Gray's voice cut through the murmur of the crowd, his tone both amused and pointed. "Well, now make sure you people don't do anything stupid. Remember, we don't care enough about you to want to destroy humanity. But if you overstep again, we'll put you back in the Stone Age. Capish?"

The crowd fell silent, many staring in disbelief or unease. Some tried to deny the legends of E.N.D., dismissing them as exaggerated tales fueled by ego. Yet, Natsu's displays of power and his association with such legendary figures left no room for doubt. His feats, even those performed in earlier battles, were undeniably godlike.

Realizing the truth of Natsu's power, many understood that their options were limited. Even if they didn't like the idea, the evidence was clear: challenging Natsu or his allies was far beyond their capability.

Back at the Arena

Back at the arena, Natsu chuckled, his eyes glinting with anticipation. "Well, I also expect you to show me what an old fae can do."

Clarent smiled enigmatically, his gaze steady. "I'm not surprised you know, but the true battle will not start now. This is just a… taste."

Natsu's smirk widened. "A taste, huh? I'm looking forward to it."

The crowd, still buzzing from the revelations and the intense exchanges, watched with bated breath as the arena prepared for the forthcoming battle. The air crackled with excitement, the anticipation of seeing two of the most formidable beings clash looming on the horizon.

Clarent immediately appeared in front of Natsu, his knight sword crackling with energy. He swung the blade with a speed that was nothing short of massive-faster-than-light, aiming directly at Natsu's neck.

To Clarent's surprise, Natsu seemed motionless until the last moment. With a swift and seemingly effortless movement, he leaned back, the blade passing an inch from his nose.

"Nice speed," Natsu remarked with a smirk.

"Good dodge," Clarent replied, his tone approving as he immediately followed up with a powerful kick. Natsu blocked the kick, but the force behind it sent him crashing into the arena wall with a resounding impact.

"What—what happened? They were just talking a few seconds ago?" a commentator asked, bewildered.

"They're moving at light speeds," Jenny explained, her eyes wide as she watched the action unfold. "Well, more precisely, massively-faster-than-light speeds."

"Is—is that even possible?" came the incredulous response.

"Didn't you hear what they talked about?" Jenny shot back. "About who they are? Neither are humans, so don't expect a fight at human levels."

At the Saber Tooth stand, Sting's teeth ground together in frustration. His White Dragon magic allowed him to catch glimpses of the fight, but the movements were still too fast to follow clearly.

"It doesn't seem like such a boast now…" Rouge said quietly, observing the scene with a mix of awe and concern.

"No, no, I AM BETTER," Sting insisted, his voice tinged with desperation as he tried to deny the reality of the battle unfolding before him. "I have to be."

Natsu chuckled, a playful glint in his eye. With a deep breath, he unleashed a pell. "Fire Dragon King's Infernal Roar!"

The beam of fiery energy surged toward Clarent, who met it head-on with his sword. With a precise slash, Clarent split the beam in two, redirecting it skyward where it exploded, clearing the clouds above.

"Just what I told you," Clarent said calmly, his voice steady despite the show of power.

Clarent then charged his hand with a purple, glowing energy and appeared before Natsu in an instant.

"Cosmic Levels," he stated, delivering a powerful punch to Natsu's stomach. The force was immense, but there was no visible destruction, only a deep impact.

As Natsu regained his footing, he analyzed the attack. "That was a Star Level attack, and it didn't even create a shockwave!" he thought, impressed by the precision and control Clarent displayed.

Natsu's smirk widened. "Interesting. I'll try it too."

He cloaked his hands in radiant light and engaged Clarent. His initial blows created massive shockwaves, but as he continued, he refined his technique, adjusting his strikes to avoid excessive destruction while still delivering immense power.

"Light?! He can use Light?" Sting exclaimed, his frustration evident. "Light is my element! He's supposed to be a Fire Dragon Slayer!"

Jenny turned to Sting with a bemused expression. "Again, you prove to be an uninformed idiot. Silver-Eye is capable of using multiple elements. He holds direct authority as the king of seven of those elements. If you had learned about dragon hierarchy, you'd understand what that means."

As Clarent and Natsu momentarily separated, Natsu waved his hand, summoning a pillar of darkness from the ground that propelled Clarent into the sky.

"Chaos Art—Black Hole!" Natsu called out, creating a small black hole directly behind Clarent. He quickly followed up with another spell.

"Demonic Dragon King's Twilight Cataclysm!"

Natsu unleashed an explosive combination of darkness and light right at Clarent's location. Before the explosion could occur, Natsu raised his left arm, pointing two fingers at Clarent.

"Space Magic—10-Layered Barrier!"

A cube-like barrier formed around Clarent, consisting of ten layers. As the Twilight Cataclysm exploded within the barrier, Natsu wasted no time. With a powerful stomp, chains emerged from the ground, wrapping around Clarent's legs and pulling him down towards the arena at tremendous speeds.

Just before Clarent could hit the ground, Natsu appeared beside him and delivered a devastating kick, halting his momentum completely.

Natsu then returned to the arena, allowing Clarent to fall to the ground. Clarent, though visibly shaken, managed to get back on his feet.

"How was that for… restraint?" Natsu asked mockingly.

"Good… but it can be better," Clarent replied, his voice steady.

Suddenly, Clarent launched a magic orb at Natsu, hitting him on the left side of his chest. The attack obliterated Natsu's left arm and part of his chest. The audience gasped in shock—had Silver-Eye just been defeated?

Before they could process what had happened, Natsu began to laugh heartily.

"HAHAHA, NOW THAT WAS A GOOD HIT! I DIDN'T EVEN SEE IT UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT!"

His chest and arm rapidly healed, regenerating as his coat repaired itself. The crowd watched in stunned silence, witnessing the incredible resilience and power of Silver-Eye.

The arena was enveloped in an electric silence, the audience captivated by the spectacle unfolding before them. Natsu and Clarent met in the center of the arena, their movements a blur as they exchanged blows at speeds beyond light. Each strike was a testament to their immense power and skill, resonating with the raw force of cosmic energy.

"The benefits of immortality," Clarent chuckled, his voice a mixture of respect and challenge.

"Indeed," Natsu replied, his grin widening as he deflected a powerful slash from Clarent with ease. The clash of their energies sent shockwaves through the arena, the ground quaking beneath them.

As they fought, the contrast between their powers was evident. Natsu's Twilight aura contrasted sharply with Clarent's purple sheen. Each attack from Clarent was met with a counter from Natsu, the two beings displaying a level of skill and power that left the audience in awe.

Natsu kicked Clarent aside, the force of the blow sending him skidding across the arena floor. Without missing a beat, Natsu summoned his large, long sword—the Rebellion. The sword materialized in his hand, its blade gleaming with an intense, fiery light.

With a powerful swing, Natsu brought the Rebellion down, the blade cutting through the air with a roaring fire that seemed to part the very fabric of reality. The impact of the sword created a wave of heat and energy, forcing Clarent to quickly maneuver out of the way.

"Let's see how you handle this!" Natsu shouted, his voice echoing through the arena as he prepared for another strike. The Rebellion's edge crackled with energy, amplifying the intensity of the battle. Clarent, not one to be easily overwhelmed, raised his sword to block the incoming assault, his movements precise and calculated despite the overwhelming force of Natsu's attack.

The clash of their swords sent sparks flying, illuminating the arena with bursts of light and shadow. The audience, on the edge of their seats, could only watch in awe as the two combatants showcased their extraordinary abilities, their battle becoming a spectacle of both power and skill.

As they clashed in the middle of the arena, their swords locked in a fierce power struggle, the tension was palpable. Clarent and Natsu stood there, their auras crackling with raw energy.

"This will do for now," Clarent said, his voice steady but tinged with a hint of satisfaction.

Natsu, catching his breath and adjusting his grip on the Rebellion, replied with a smirk, "Ah, I was thinking you wouldn't want to finish this now."

Clarent's gaze remained unwavering. "Oh, even if I wanted to, you would win. But there's more to this battle than just the clash of our blades."

Natsu raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Yet you would challenge me and my kingdom?"

"We have quite the surprise, young one," Clarent said, his eyes gleaming with a mysterious light. "You might like it, or you might hate it. We'll see."

With that, Clarent stepped back, raising his sword in a gesture of respect before turning to leave the arena. Natsu, his interest piqued, watched him go, a mix of curiosity and anticipation in his eyes.

As Clarent retreated, the crowd erupted into applause and cheers, their excitement fueled by the thrilling display they had just witnessed and the promise of more to come.

The arena roared with applause as the announcement echoed through the stands, "Natsu Dragneel wins!" The crowd's cheers grew louder, a testament to the spectacle they had just witnessed.

Natsu lowered the Rebellion, the massive sword dissipating into a shimmer of light. His eyes followed Clarent's retreating figure, curiosity burning within him about the upcoming surprise.

He knew that despite the fierce battle, this was only a part of the grand spectacle. The day's events were over, but the anticipation for what would come next was palpable.

In the stands, reactions varied. Some were exhilarated by the high-octane battle they had just witnessed, while others were left pondering the implications of Clarent's mysterious words. The promise of a surprise from such a powerful figure only added to the buzz of excitement.

The arena's atmosphere crackled with energy as Mato stepped up to announce the next event, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "Ladies and gentlemen, Day two of the Grand Magic Games is concluded ! Stay tuned as we bring you more incredible matches and surprises!"

The crowd settled into their seats, their eyes fixed on the arena, eager to see what the next moments of the Grand Magic Games would bring.
