We finally left the town and were going through some hills. Pippin was about to stop and make
breakfast, even though we already had eaten. Strider sighed and kept walking. "You already had
breakfast, keep moving." He said. Merry sighed. "I don't think he knows about second breakfast." He
said. Pippin gasped. I turned to Byron who had been very quiet the whole trip so far. "Penny for your
thoughts?" I asked. Byron sighed. "I don't like the way Strider looks at you." He said. I looked at Strider
who was looking towards our destination. "I'm sure it's fine." I said. Byron Shrugged. "I just want you
safe." He said. I sighed. "I really have to pee." I said. Byron sighed. "There is a bush over there big
enough to cover you." He said. I sighed. "Oh what I would give for indoor plumbing." I said. Byron
laughed. "I'll get them to wait for us." He said. I quickly ran behind the bush and relieved myself. After
fixing my dress I walked out to see that the men were all waiting for me. I looked at Strider who had an
odd look on his face. "I'm all done. Thanks for waiting." I said. Strider nodded and we were off, soon we
came to a big rock. It was getting dark. "We will camp here for the night. I'll be back going to check
things out." Said Strider. "I'll go with you." Said Byron. Strider looked at him for a moment and then
nodded. They went off and I turned to the hobbits. "We should get some rest." I said. I laid down next
to Frodo. "Do you mind if I join you?" I asked. Frodo nodded. "Yes, Lady Lola, you may join me." He
said. I laid down and soon drifted off to sleep. Suddenly, I was woken up by yelling. I turned to see that
the other hobbits had lit a fire to cook and Frodo was trying to put it out with his foot. I jumped up.
"You stupid fools!" yelled Frodo. Suddenly, there was that Shriek in the air. "There here." I said. We ran
into the middle of the fortress. Hoping to evade the Nazgul. They surrounded us. There was no escape.
Suddenly they came at us. We all darted in different directions, trying to not get stabbed. I looked
around and didn't see Frodo. But I saw the Nazgul go to a corner and stab into the air. Then in the blink
of an eye, Frodo appeared. He had gotten stabbed. Then Strider and Byron came to the rescue. It
looked as if Strider had given Byron a weapon. The two of them were fighting the Nazgul. I ran to Frodo
who was in a lot of pain. The other hobbits surrounded him. I yelled to Byron. "Throw me a dagger!" I
yelled. He did and I stood next to Strider to fight. Strider grabbed a torch and swung it at the Nazgul.
"Byron, protect the little ones." Yelled Strider. Byron nodded and went to defend the hobbits. Strider
grabbed my shoulder and looked at me. "This is no place for a lady." He said. I gaped at him. "Now is
not the time for this." I said. I swung at the Nazgul as they came at us. I remembered that I had a pouch
of ale and quickly grabbed it. "Now is not the time for a drink!" yelled Strider. "Trust me!" I said. Strider
kept fighting while I got out the pouch. I poured it on the dagger and then took the torch from Strider
and lit my dagger on fire. Strider looked stunned but quickly regained his composure. We continued to
fight off the Nazgul. Soon, there was only one left. Strider grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the
way. Suddenly, there was a pain that I had never felt before. I felt as if my whole body was on fire. I
looked to see that Strider was also on his back. The final Nazgul retreated, which was odd. I lay there for
a good minuet, before hearing Strider groan and get up. He crawled over to me and looked at me. "Lady
Lola! Are you hurt?" he asked. I could not move. I felt like I was on fire. "I'm on fire." I said between
gasps. Strider looked at Byron and spoke. "Help me get the hobbits to safety and I will carry Lady Lola."
He said. Byron picked up Frodo and Strider picked me up and we were off. We got into the woods and
soon they needed a break. Strider laid me down and looked me over. "Where does it hurt?" he asked. I
sighed. The pain had gone except that I felt a pain in my stomach. "It's my stomach." I said. Strider
sighed and looked at my stomach. "I cannot see with the dress, and I dare not make you dishonored, but
I must cut the dress to see." He said. I nodded. Strider took out his dagger and cut my dress at the belly
and looked. There was a large circle with writing on it. It was burned into my skin. "What sorcery is
this?" he mumbled. I heard Frodo crying out in pain. "I'm ok, got take care of Frodo." I said. Strider
nodded and went to Frodo. Byron came to my side. "Oh, Lola, are you ok? I'm so sorry." He said. I
turned to Byron. "It's not your fault." I said. "But if I was there, then this would not have happened." He
said. I sighed. "It's ok Strider will take care of me. He will help Frodo and then me." I said. Byron
nodded and looked to Strider. "He is fading." Said Strider. "I'll be right back. There is a weed that should
help stop the poison. He rushed into the woods, leaving me and the hobbits and Byron alone. It felt like
ten minuets before Strider came back and was followed by a beautiful woman. This is Arwin. She is an
Elf who will take Frodo ahead to Rivendell." He said. We nodded. "I am his only hope." She said. Her
voice was like chimes on the wind. Byron looked at her and his eyes didn't leave her. She quickly picked
up Frodo and got on her horse. It's a three days ride but with my magic I will make it in time." She said.
Strider nodded. "Go!" he said. "I must tend to lady Lola." He said. Arwin smiled. "Go." She said. She
turned the horse and took off. Byron looked at Strider and spoke. "Who was that?" he asked. Strider
smiled. "She is an Elf of Rivendell. I grew up with her. She is like a sister to me." He said. Byron nodded
and turned to me. "What's wrong with her?" he asked. Strider looked at my stomach and picked up
some of the dress to see. He stopped at the peak of my breast. "I will not look any further." He said. I
nodded. "Thank you." I said. Strider looked at the writing. "We must get her to Rivendell." He said.
Byron sighed. "Why didn't you send her with Arwin?" he asked. Strider spoke. "Lady Lola can walk, and
talk. Frodo could not." He said. I groaned and slowly sat up. Strider scooped down next to me. "Can
you walk?" he asked. I nodded. "Yes." I said. I Slowly got up with the help of Strider and Byron. "Let's
just get there as fast as we can." I said. Strider nodded. "I will lead, Byron you will end." He said. Byron
nodded. I turned to him. "Look at you and strider. See I told you he wasn't that bad." I said. Byron
nodded. "Yea, I like him too." He said. We started to walk and I found that walking was not so much as a
problem as was keeping up with the group. It had been three days of walking and camping and we
finally made it. I looked at Rivendell on the hill and saw that it was beautiful. I looked at Byron. "This
place is so beautiful." I said. Strider smiled and looked at me. "We are almost there Lady Lola." He said.
Suddenly, I felt faint and the world turned black.
