We find Aang, Ren, Katara, and Sokka had made camp by a small lake when a large green fish jumps out of the water getting Katara's attention.

"Look!" Katara points as they turn towards the water to see it leaping out.

As Sokka looks at the fish time slows down to show a smug look on the fish's face.

"He's taunting us. You are so going to be dinner!" Sokka declares running to get his fishing rod but when he tries to fling the line out there is nothing. "Hey, where's the fishing line?"

"Oh, I didn't think you would need it, Sokka," Aang said holding up the line revealing it was now woven wth a red flower in the center.

"Aah! It's all tangled."

"Not tangled. Woven! I made you a necklace, Katara." Aang said presenting it to her. "I thought since you lost your old one."

"Thanks Aang. I love it." Katara smiles taking it.

"Great, Aang. Maybe instead of saving the world, you can go into the jewelry-making business." Sokka mocks.

"I don't see why I can't do both." Aang shrugs.

"Still Aang how is Sokka gonna catch us our dinner now?" Ren points out.

"Yeah!" Sokka said when the fish leaped out of the water. "Stop taunting me!"

Throwing the rod like a spear Sokka grabbed a knife and dove in after the fish.

"Wait a minute can't you just make a shadow line to catch the fish yourself?" Aang realizes.

"Yeah but then I wouldn't get to see the show," Ren said gesturing to the water.

Roaring Sokka wrestles with the fish only to be smacked by its tail making Ren laugh.

"How do I look?" Katara asks.

Turning around both boys saw Katara wearing the new necklace.

"Hmm not bad. It suits you." Ren said seeing it worked.

Aang on the other hand looked at her in awe and amazement. "You mean, all of you or just your neck? B-Because you all look great." Aang said nervously.

"Smoochie, smoochie. Someone's in love." Sokka mocks only to be smacked in the face by the fish.

"Stop teasing him, Sokka. Aang's just a good friend. A sweet, little guy! Just like Momo." Katara said patting both Aang and Momo on the forehead.

"Thanks." Aang deadpans while Ren snickers being the only one enjoying this.

As Sokka emerged from the water with no fish they heard a loud noise nearby.

Curious, Aang jumped up on a high rock and gasped.

"Someone's being attacked by a platypus bear!" Aang yells.

Near the river, a large bear with a platypus bill and tail was attacking a man in blue robes who was surprisingly calm as he dodged the attacks.

"Why hello there, nice day isn't it?" He asks looking at Aang.

"Make noise! He'll run off!" Aang yells as Ren, Sokka, and Katara join him.

"No, play dead! He'll lose interest!" Sokka yells as the Platypus bear swings at him.

"Whoa, close one." The man said playfully.

"Run in zig zags! You'll confuse it!" Ren yells.

"Run downhill, then climb a tree!" Katara yells.

"No need, it's going to be fine." The calm man assures.

As the Platypus Bear swings its paw, the man ducks making it rip through a tree with ease.

The bear was about to attack again when Aang leaped in front of the old man.

Creating an air blast, Aang knocks the bear away.

"Whoa there!" Aang said taking a stance.

Shaking off the attack the Platypus Bear was about to roar when Appa appeared behind it and roared scaring an egg out of the creature before it ran away.

"Mmm lunch," Sokka said happily picking up the egg. "Lucky for you we came along."

"Thanks, but everything was already under control." The man assures confusing them.

"What are you talking about? You didn't do a thing to ward off the Playpus Bear." Ren asks.

"Not to worry. Aunt Wu predicted I'd have a safe journey." The man states.

"Aunt who?" Aang asks never hearing that name.

"Not who. Aunt Wu. She's the fortuneteller from my village. Awful nice knowing your future." The man smiles.

"Wow, it must be. That explains why you were so calm." Katara realized.

"But the fortuneteller was wrong. You didn't have a safe journey; you were almost killed." Sokka said.

"But I wasn't." The man points out.

"We technically saved him, so I guess he's not wrong." Ren shrugs.

"Oh, and Aunt Wu said if I met any travelers to give them this." The man said giving them a wrapped parcel. "Farewell." He smiles walking away.

"Maybe we should go see Aunt Wu and learn our fortunes. It could be fun." Katara said excited by the idea.

"Oh, come on. Fortune telling is nonsense." Sokka mocks.

Tearing off the wrappings around the parcel Aang saw it was an umbrella.

"What do you know? An umbrella." Aang smiles.

"Why would we need one of those?" Ren raises an eyebrow.

Almost instantly thunder echoed and rain started coming down.

While Aang opens the umbrella Ren uses his shield to protect him from the rain.

"This proves it," Katara said getting under with Aang while Sokka used the egg to cover himself.

"No, it doesn't. You can't really tell the future." Sokka denies.

"I guess you're not really getting wet, then." Katara counters.

Losing his grip on the egg it slips out Sokka's hands and splats right on his face making Ren chuckle.

"I think I liked you better before you started developing a sense of humor." Sokka glares.

"Come on, let's go find that town. At least this way we can get out of the rain." Ren suggests as they start walking.

"Of course, she predicted it was going to rain. The sky's been gray all day." Sokka points out.

"Just admit you might be wrong, and you can come under the umbrella." Katara urges.

"Look I'm going to predict the future now. It's going to keep drizzling." Sokka said as the rain came down on them. "See?"

However, seconds later the rain stopped.

"Not everyone has the gift Sokka." Aang points out.

"This is not your day," Ren said.

At the base of a large volcano, the 4 of them enter the village and see a man in front of a fancy home.

"Aunt Wu is expecting you." He bows before moving aside so they can enter.

Entering the room they were greeted by a young girl with black hair in pigtails, pink robes and a smile with a missing tooth.

"My name is Meng, and I'm Aunt Wu's assistant." Meng introduces before noticing Aang. Eyes widening she looked at him with the same awe and amazement Aang had when he saw Katara earlier. "Why hello there."

"Hello," Aang said casually.

"Can I get you some tea or Aunt Wu's special bean curd puffs?" Meng asks as they sit down on some pillows.

"I'll take a curd puff," Sokka said eager for something to eat.

"One second," Meng said turning her attention to Aang. "So what's your name?"

"Aang." He answers.

"That rhymes with Meng, and you got some pretty big ears, don't you?" Meng asks weirding him out.

"I guess," Aang said unsure how to respond.

"Don't be modest, they're huge." Sokka gestures.

"Well, Aang, it was very nice to meet you. Very nice." Meng smiles walking away.

"Likewise," Aang said.

"I can't believe we're here in the house of nonsense," Sokka said.

"Try to keep an open mind, Sokka. There are things in this world that just can't be explained. Wouldn't it be nice to have some insight into your future?" Katara points out.

"It would be nice to have some bean curd puffs." Sokka brushes off.

"You're impossible. What about you Ren? She might surprise us." Katara said.

"Katara, I've dealt with a lot of surprises in my life and many of them were not good," Ren said.

"What about us? You joining us was a good surprise, right?" Aang asks.

"Uh somewhat." Ren shrugs titling is hand back and forth.

As Meng brought a tray out the door opens revealing a woman with a big smile on her face.

"Oh, Meng! Aunt Wu says I'm going to meet my true love. He's going to give me a rare panda lily." She sighs.

"That's so romantic." Meng sighs glancing at Aang. "I wonder if my true love will give me a rare flower."

"Good luck with that." Aang overhears and the woman giggles.

"Is that the big-eared guy who Aunt Wu predicted you'd marry?" The woman asks.

Embarrassed Meng quickly pushes her out the door before anyone overhears them.

As she makes her way towards them, her eyes are glued on Aang which causes her to stumble. Acting quickly Aang reached out and helped her from spilling. But by doing so their hands end up touching.

Blushing Meng nervously hands him the tray.

"E-Enjoy your snack," Meng said leaving in a hurry.

Smiling Sokka immediately grabs the tray from him as an elderly woman in a yellow robe. This was Aunt Wu.

"Welcome, young travelers. Now, who's next? Don't be shy." Aunt Wu urges.

While Sokka wasn't interested, Ren had an unsure look as he glanced at Aang who looked at Katara indicating she should go first.

"I guess that's me." Katara smiles eagerly.

As she walked in with Aunt Wu, Sokka was wolfing down the curd puffs.

"Not bad, not bad," Sokka said with a mouthful.

While Aang and Ren sweat dropped Sokka held them out.

"I'm good," Aang said.

"Yeah just keep eating." Ren urged not needing to get between that.

"So, what do you think they're talking about back there?" Aang asks.

"I don't know, future stuff?" Ren shrugs.

"Boring stuff I'm sure. Love, who she's going to marry, how many babies she's going to have." Sokka assumes getting Aang's attention.

"Yeah, boring stuff…" Aang tenses up. "I need to find the bathroom." He said walking away leaving Ren alone with Sokka and Momo.

As Sokka lays down on Aang's pillow Ren rolls his eyes.

"Come on Sokka at least act professional, this is someone's business." Ren gestures.

"A business no one needs." Sokka counters reaching for a puff only for Momo to take the bowl away.

Sneaking through the hall, Aang puts his ear to the door to listen in on Aunt Wu and Katara.

"Your palms are so smooth. Do you use moisturizer?" Aunt Wu asks.

"Actually, I have this special seaweed lotion. I can get you some if you want." Katara offers. "So, do you see anything interesting in my love line?"

"I feel a great romance for you. The man you are going to marry." Aunt Wu said in a dramatic tone.

"Tell me more!" Katara said excitedly.

"I can see that he's a very powerful bender." Aunt Wu declares.

Hearing this a big smile appears on Aang's face as he jumps for joy.

Making his way back to the waiting room, Sokka had finished the bowl.

"Looks like someone had a pretty good bathroom break," Sokka said noticing the smile on Aang's face.

"Oh yeah…when I was in there—"

"We don't need to know Aang," Ren said immediately. "Sokka's gross enough, you don't need to add anything."

"Hey I'm not gross." Sokka defends but Ren knows otherwise.

"Who's next?" Aunt Wu asks walking out with Katara.

"Okay, let's get this over with," Sokka said standing up.

"Your future is full of struggle and anguish. Most of it, self-inflicted." Aunt Wu said instantly.

"But you didn't read my palms or anything!" Sokka gestures.

"I didn't need to. It's written all over your face." Aunt Wu said pissing him off. "How about you? You've been quiet." She said looking at Ren.

"Uh, you don't have to. I think Aang wanted to go next." Ren gestures.

"Come along." Wu gestures for Ren to come with her.

Shrugging Ren follows her to the room.

"Do you not believe in my abilities?" Wu asks.

"I wouldn't say that." Ren said sitting across from her.

"But you're not a full believer either." Wu points out.

"I don't like the belief that I'm not in charge of my own decisions," Ren admits.

"Young man, everyone can choose their own path. But sometimes it never hurts to have a small peek." Wu said spreading a deck of cards in front of him. "I want you to pick 4 cards from the pile. Any cards you wish."

Curious Ren picks 4 cards from the pile. Once he did Aunt Wu put the rest away.

"Let's start with the first card. This card represents your past." Wu said flipping over the first card revealing a flaming landscape with a skull in the middle.

Instantly a frown appeared on her face.

"Oh, you poor boy. This card represents Death meaning your past was full of pain, anguish, and loss all at such a young age." Aunt Wu read.

Reaching up to his shoulder Ren grips his sleeve. "Whatever, it's not like you can change the past."

"No, I can't, and neither can you. But now let's see your present." Wu said flipping over the next card revealing an image of a giant wheel with the four seasons in each corner. "Ah, the Wheel of Fortune. The world around you is slowly changing as you search for a new meaning in your life. The people you surround yourself with will play a great role in finding that meaning as well help you find the happiness and hope you once lost."

"No surprise there, a few people have told me that advice." Ren said unamused.

"I can tell, but how many can also peek into your future?" Wu flipped over the 3rd card and on it was a picture of a man taming a Tigerdillo. "Ooh, the Strength. As your journey continues you will grow not just physically but mentally as well. The challenges ahead of you will be dangerous but you will find the strength to help you and your friends carry on. I also see something else. You will find something that you thought you lost a long time ago."

"Well…I guess that's nice to know." Ren said about to get up.

"Hold on young man, there's one more card left," Wu said waving her finger back and forth.

"But you already told me my future," Ren said turning to her.

"Yes, but this card is a special one. It's telling me you have something to look forward to. Something that will bring you joy." Wu said as Ren leaned in curious. Flipping it over, Ren saw this one had a big heart on it.

"What the?" Ren raises an eyebrow unimpressed. "Let me guess this one says I'll meet my true love?"

"Maybe someday but this card says you deserve something a little more. It's up to you whether you believe it or not, but try being mindful of the number 3." Aunt Wu said holding up 3 fingers to emphasize her point.

"3? 3 what?" Ren asks curious.

"I'll let you be the one to figure out what it means." Aunt Wu giggles as Ren looks down at the card unsure if this one was real or not.

After Ren made his way out Aang soon was sitting in front of Aunt Wu.

"This is the most reliable method of telling your fortune. The bones never lie." Aunt Wu gestures to a pile. "Go on, pick one and throw it on the fire."

Picking a bone from the pile, Aang throws it on the fire.

"The heat makes cracks in the bone and I read the bone cracks to tell your destiny." Aunt Wu explains.

Watching the fire, the two of them see a crack go right down the middle.

"Wow, that's a big crack," Aang said when more cracks along the bone began to form.

"I've never seen this before." Aunt Wu said as the bone exploded sending smoke to the top startling them both.

"Your destiny! This is incredible. You will be involved in a great battle, an awesome conflict between the forces of good and evil. A battle whose outcome will determine the fate of the whole world!" Aunt Wu declares.

"Yeah, yeah. I knew that already." Aang said knowing that speech by heart. "But did it say anything about a girl?"

"A girl? You want to know about love?" Aunt Wu asks surprised.

"Yes please." Aang smiles eagerly.

"I'm sorry, but I didn't see anything." Aunt Wu said as Aang frowned in disappointment.

Seeing the sad look on his face, Aunt Wu smiles softly. "Oh look. I must have missed something." Bending down, Aunt Wu picked up a small piece of bone. "It says trust your heart and you will be with the one you love."

"Really? Thank you, Aunt Wu!" Aang smiles.

Leaving Aunt Wu's, the 4 of them and Appa walked through the streets.

"Well, now you got to see for yourselves how fortune-telling is just a big, stupid hoax," Sokka said.

"You're just saying that because you're going to make yourself unhappy your whole life," Katara smirks.

"That woman is crazy! My life will be calm and happy and joyful!" Sokka said kicking a rock that bounced off a sign and hit him in the head. "That doesn't prove anything!"

"You don't need to be psychic to know you're wrong Sokka," Ren said as the three of them snicked.

"Well, I liked my predictions," Katara said cupping her hands together. "Certain things are going to turn out very well."

"They sure are," Aang said with a sly smirk.

"Why? What did she say to you?" Katara asks interested.

"Some stuff. You'll find out." Aang said casually.

"What about you, Ren? What did you think of what she said?" Katara asks.

"I don't know. She said some weird stuff to me." Ren paused.

"Well, at least one of you isn't completely gullible," Sokka said getting up.

In the town square, we see tons of people gathered together and gazing up at the sky near the volcano.

"What's with the sky?" Katara asks curious.

"We are waiting for Aunt Wu to come and read the clouds to predict the fate of the whole village." The calm man from earlier said.

"That cloud kinda looks like a fluffy bunny." Aang points.

"You better hope that's not a bunny! The fluffy bunny cloud forecasts doom and destruction." The man clarifies.

"That doesn't sound right." Ren notices.

"Seriously, do you even hear yourself?" Sokka asks.

"The cloud reading will tell us if Mt. Makapu will remain dormant for another year or if it will erupt." A woman adds.

"We used to have a tradition once a year of going up the mountain to check the volcano ourselves. But ever since Aunt Wu moved to the village twenty years ago, we have a tradition of not doing that." The man smiles.

"Sounds like you're just being lazy." Ren mocks.

"Not lazy, we just found an easier solution." The man corrects.

"I can't believe you would trust your lives to that crazy, old woman's superstition!" Sokka snaps.

"Sokka, here she comes." Katara shushes as Aunt Wu and her guard enter the square.

Sneaking up to Aang, Meng leans against him.

"Hey Aang, doesn't that cloud kinda look like a flower?" Meng points.

"Uh, I guess," Aang said scotting away from her and leaning against Katara. "Hey Katara, doesn't that cloud kinda look like a flower?" He repeats but Katara shushes him entirely focused on Aunt Wu.

Taking out a cloud book, Aunt Wu studies the sky carefully.

"Bending arrow cloud ... good crops this year. Nice big harvest." Aunt Wu said making some farmers cheer.

"Darn good news." He grins as Aunt Wu notices some more.

"Wavy, moon-shaped cloud ... let's see. Gonna be a great year for twins." Aunt Wu said as a set of twins named Poi and Ping high-fived.

Studying the last cloud, Aunt Wu examines it VERY carefully. "And a cumulus cloud with a twisted nob coming off the end of it." Turning the crowd, she spread her arms wide. "The village will not be destroyed by the volcano this year!" She declares causing the village to cheer.

Ren however was not convinced. This wasn't something small like true love, this was something that could determine the fate of everyone in this village. And they were willing to bet all their lives on clouds? They weren't considering looking into this themselves.

Slowly looking to Katara, Aang clears his throat. "Since I got you here, uh, there's something I want to tell you. I like you, but more than normal." Aang said but Katara was so focused on Aunt Wu she didn't hear him and ran after her. "Never mind." Aang sighs crushed.

At Aunt Wu's place, Katara is knocking on her door.

Sliding it open, Aunt Wu answers it.

"Hi, Aunt Wu. Sorry to bother you." Katara said.

"Any time." Aunt Wu brushes off.

"About this man, I'm supposed to marry. Is he gonna be handsome? I hope he's tall." Katara blushes.

"Ah you want another reading." Aunt Wu realized.

"Yes please." Katara said eagerly before being let in.

Meanwhile, Ren, Sokka, and Aang were walking through town and Sokka had the exact opposite reaction of Katara.

"I can't believe all these saps. Someone needs to scream some sense into them." Sokka said frustrated.

"They seem happy, Sokka." Aang points out.

"Happiness is one thing Aang, but these people are something else." Ren said.

"What do you mean?" Aang asks.

Ren was about to answer when Sokka grabbed a nearby man with red shoes.

"Hey you, I bet Aunt Wu told you to wear those red shoes, didn't she?" Sokka assumes.

"Yeah. She said I'd be wearing red shoes when I met my true love." He smiles.

"Uh huh and how many times have you worn them since you got that fortune?" Sokka asks.

"Every day." The man smiles causing Sokka's eye to twitch.

"Then of course it's gonna come true!" Sokka snaps.

"Really? You think so? I'm so excited!" The red shoes man said leaving.

Growling, Sokka kicks a rock that smacks into a turkey duck.

Squawking in anger, the bird attacks Sokka and begins pecking at him.

"Well that's kinda sweet." Aang said gesturing to the man. "But I guess if you wear them every day then it's less about the shoes."

"I'm starting to see a pattern." Ren narrows his eyes.

At Aunt Wu's we see her and Katara finishing their reading.

"And then you will have your third great-grandchild before quietly passing away in your sleep. Is that enough information for you?" Aunt Wu asks her tone indicating she was getting tired of this.

"Wow thanks, Aunt Wu," Katara said getting up to leave but quickly turned around. "Oh wait, one more thing. How warmly should I dress tomorrow?"

"You want me to do a reading for that?" Aunt Wu raises an eyebrow but Katara has a big crazy grin on her face as she nods her head.

Back with the boys, Sokka was confronting a covered-in dirt and grime from head to toe.

"I don't care what Aunt Wu told you! You have to take a bath sometime!" Sokka snaps looking just as crazy as his sister.

"But Aunt Wu said I would drown bathing in the river." The man said.

"Then why don't you just fill a bucket with water and soap, and clean yourself with a rag?" Ren suggests.

"But then where would I get the water if not from the river?" The man asks oblivious to the well nearby.

"How about that?" Ren points as the man gasps.

"When was that put in?" The man said in disbelief while Ren facepalms.

"So, Sokka, you know some stuff about ladies, right?" Aang asks looking at him.

While Ren looked at Aang confused Sokka pulled him in close.

"Some stuff." Sokka chuckles. "You've come to the right place. What can I do you for?"

"Well, there's this girl," Aang admits.

"You have a crush on a girl?" Ren said not expecting this.

"Well kinda," Aang said when Sokka noticed Meng nearby and assumed he was talking about her.

"I think I know who you mean." Sokka grins surprising them both.

"You do?" Ren raises an eyebrow.

"You do? And you're okay with it?" Aang asks also surprised.

"Of course I am. And to tell you the truth, I've been picking up a subtle vibe that she likes you, too." Sokka hints as Meng eagerly waves her arms around to get Aang to notice her but both he and Ren are too focused on Sokka to notice.

"She does?" Aang said nervously.

"Oh yeah, she's crazy about you. All you have to do now is not mess it up." Sokka suggests.

"How do I do that?" Aang asks.

"For starters don't do anything dumb or crazy," Ren said adding his opinion.

"Always a good start, but the number one mistake guys like Aang make is being too nice." Sokka corrects.

"You can be too nice?" Aang asks not expecting that.

"Yep. If you want to keep her interested, you have to act aloof, like you don't really care one way or the other." Sokka said.

"That does not sound right," Ren said.

"You've been on your own for a while Ren. When was the last time you flirted with a girl?" Sokka counters.

Pausing Ren remembered that moment with Suki but he hadn't really done anything to flirt with her. It just kinda happened. But when he thought of her, he remembered Aunt Wu's prediction about his love life.

Shaking his head, Ren snaps out of it. "Whatever."

"I guess I can give it a try," Aang said as Meng walked over.

"Hey Aang, I was wondering—"

"See you later," Aang said walking away completely unaware she was there.

"Wow. That kid is good." Sokka admits impressed.

'Aang in love with Meng? Huh, I didn't think she was his type.' Ren thought curious about this.

Leaving Aunt Wu's place, we see Katara has finally finished her reading.

"And you'll be fine as long as you've got a scarf. Bye-bye now." Aunt Wu said leading her to the door.

"Ok but one more thing," Katara said making Aunt Wu cringe.

"All right, what is it?" Aunt Wu asks putting a hand to her head.

"Should I eat a mango or a papaya for breakfast tomorrow?" Katara asks.

"Papaya." Aunt Wu answers before slamming the door shut.

"Aww. I hate papaya." Katara whines.

"Oh hey, Katara. I didn't see you there." Aang said leaning against the building trying to act cool.

"Hey, Aang," Katara said walking right past him.

"That's okay. I'm busy with my own stuff." Aang said trying to get her attention but she just walked to a fruit stand.

"Ugh, papaya please." Katara requests with a hint of disgust.

Walking over to her with Momo on his shoulders, Aang tries to get her attention.

"So, papaya huh?" Aang asks.

"Yeah, you want some?" Katara offers.

"You know me. I don't really care what I eat." Aang said casually reaching for an apple and taking a big bite of it.

"Okay then. See you later." Katara said leaving and once she did Aang spit out the apple in disgust.

"Maybe aloof isn't my style." Aang groans when he notices the woman from Aunt Wu's place being given a black and white flower from her boyfriend.

"A Panda Lily?" She squeals hugging him.

"Did you see that?" Aang asks looking at Momo amazed.

If that flower worked on her then maybe it would work on Katara too.

"Excuse me," Aang said getting in between them. "Where can I find one of those?"

Soon Aang was climbing the volcano with Sokka and Ren right behind him.

"Why did we have to get pulled into this? It's just a flower, Aang." Ren calls out jumping onto a rock.

"Not just any flower, a panda lily. I've seen it in action and boy, does it work." Aang assures.

"Flowers are fine once you're married, but at this early stage, you must maintain maximum aloofness," Sokka advises.

"At least wait until you ask the girl out before you give her flowers Aang. This seems a little desperate." Ren adds.

"But my heart is telling me to get this flower, and Aunt Wu said if I trusted in my heart, I will be with the one I love." Aang recites annoying Sokka.

"What? Don't tell me you believe in that stuff, too." Sokka asks irritated.

"Well, Aunt Wu hasn't been wrong yet. Why should she be wrong about love?" Aang asks.

"Ren back me here. Tell him this is insane." Sokka urged as Ren climbed up.

"I think you people are taking this fortune-telling stuff a little too seriously," Ren said when Aang noticed something.

"There! On the rim!" Aang points revealing a ton of Panda lilies.

Smiling Aang bent down to pick one up but gasped at the sight of all the lava rising up.

"Oh no." Ren gasps.

"Aunt Wu was wrong." Aang declares dropping his flower and making it fall into the lava.

"This is not good. Not good at all." Ren gulps.

"Those people all think they're safe! We've got to warn them!" Sokka panics.

"No time to walk grab on!" Aang said extending his glider.

Wrapping shadows around him and Sokka, Ren holds on as the three of them fly off the mountain.

Racing to Aunt Wu's place they see Katara by the door.

"Hi Katara." Aang calls out.

"Can you believe she won't let me in? And after all the business I've given her?" Katara asks.

"But she doesn't even charge." Aang points out.

"I know, but still," Katara mutters.

"All the business? What have you been asking her?" Ren asks.

"Oh you know, my love life, the weather…what I should eat tomorrow," Katara muttered.

"Are you serious? You need her opinion on things like that?" Ren asks in disbelief.

"We can criticize my stupid sister later, we have other things to worry about. Aunt Wu was wrong about the volcano." Sokka points out.

"Sokka, you tried to convince me she was wrong before. It's going to take an awful lot to change my mind—" Katara starts when the ground begins to rumble interrupting her.

Grabbing her head, Ren twisted it so she could see the smoke coming from the volcano.

"Convinced now?" Ren asks as she nods in horror.

Running to the main square they tried to warn the villagers.

"Everyone, that volcano is gonna blow any second! Aunt Wu was wrong!" Sokka declares.

"Yeah, yeah, we know you don't believe in Aunt Wu, Mr. Science and Reason Lover." A woman said not buying it.

"If you won't listen to him, maybe you'll listen to me. I want to believe Aunt Wu and her predictions as much as you do, but my brother, Ren, and Aang saw the lava with their own eyes." Katara steps forward.

"Well, I heard Aunt Wu's prediction with my own ears." The calm man said not budging.

"Are you kidding me?" Ren asks in disbelief.

Jumping onto the roof Aang tries to reason with them.

"Please listen to us! You are all in danger! And we have to get out of here! You can't rely on Aunt Wu's prediction; you have to take fate into your own hands!" Aang declares as the volcano rumbles again alarming them.

"You mean to tell me that doesn't worry you?" Ren asks.

"Why should a little rumbling scare us? Aunt Wu said we are fine so there's nothing to worry about." The calm man said making Ren growl and tighten his fist.

"Look! Can your fortunes explain that?!" Sokka asks pointing to the smoke coming from the volcano.

"Heh, can your science explain why it rains?" The man with red shoes mocks.

"Yes, it can!" Sokka snaps but the villagers just walk away.

"These people are idiots." Ren facepalms.

"Overreacting much?" Katara asks.

"Their village is about to be destroyed and they won't do anything. If that's not stupid then what is? They don't want to listen to reason." Ren said.

"But they will listen to Aunt Wu." Aang points out.

"Yeah, that's the problem," Sokka said.

"Well, it's about to become the solution. We're taking fate into our own hands. First, I need to borrow Aunt Wu's cloud reading book." Aang said revealing he had a plan.

While Ren, Katara, and Sokka stood guard outside, Aang and Momo snuck into Aunt Wu's place to find her cloud book.

Chirping Momo looked around the room when Aang shushed him.

"We don't want anyone to hear us," Aang whispers walking to the desk only to be startled by Meng's reflection in the mirror.

Turning around he tried to play it casual. "I didn't see you there."

"You don't like me, do you?" Meng asks sadly.

"Of course I like you," Aang assures.

"But not the way I like you." Meng clarifies.

"Oh. I guess not." Aang frowns feeling bad for her.

"It's okay. It's just really hard when you like someone, but they don't think of you that way." Meng frowns.

"I know what you mean." Aang sighs knowing that feeling.

"She's beautiful by the way," Meng said making him blush confused.

"Huh?" Aang asks trying to fix himself.

"That Water Tribe girl. I can see why you like her so much. She's sweet, she's a bender and her hair seems so manageable." Meng lists looking down.

Frowning Aang walks up to her. "Don't worry. You're going to meet a great guy who's going to completely fall for you. I know it." Aang said putting his hand on her shoulder.

"Thanks." Meng smiled as Aang turned to leave. "Wait! Don't you want this?" Meng reaches into her robes and takes out the Cloud Book revealing she had it the whole time.

"How did you know?" Aang asks surprised.

"I've kinda been stalking you," Meng admits.

"Oh, thanks…I guess." Aang said nervously.

Leaving Aunt Wu's, Aang and Katara rode Appa into the sky.

"Clouds are made of water and air, so between the two of us, we ought to be able to bend them into any shape we want," Aang explains while Katara reads the cloud book.

"I found it. The symbol for volcanic doom." Katara said standing up.

Together Aang and Katara used their bending to rearrange the clouds in the sky to form a shape.

Down below, we see Ren and Sokka leading Aunt Wu to the main square.

"Aunt Wu quick! Something is happening to the clouds!" Sokka said.

"That's very strange. It shouldn't –" Aunt Wu looks up and gasps in horror. "Oh my!"

Looking up they saw the clouds were in the shape of a giant skull.

"The Death symbol. Why am I not surprised?" Ren rolls his eyes remembering the first card from Wu's prediction.

When Aang and Katara joined them, Ren had gathered everyone.

"Alright people listen up! Our friend Sokka has a plan to save you all so listen up and we might still be able to save your village!" Aang calls out giving the floor to Sokka.

"Lava is gonna flow downhill to this spot. If we can dig a deep enough trench we can channel all the lava away from the village to the river." Sokka explains.

"If any of you are earthbenders, come with me," Aang instructs.

"I'm an Earthbender." One twin said.

"I'm not." The other adds.

"Everyone else, grab a shovel!" Sokka said when the ground began to rumble startling everyone.

"We gotta move!" Ren urged.

Not needing to be told twice all of them got to work.

As the earthbenders formed the trench everyone dug as fast as they could to clear a path from the volcano to the river.

Rumbling louder and louder with each passing hour, night came and they were still hard at work.

"Dig faster!" Sokka yells as a loud rumble echoes.

Clearing the last of the rubble, they finished the trench.

"Everyone needs to evacuate! We'll come for you when it's safe!" Aang yells as everyone runs out of the trench and to the forest for safety while Ren, Sokka, Aang, and Katara stay behind.

As the volcano erupted the four of them looked up as ash rained down from the sky. Hoping the trench would hold they all stood in front of the village in anticipation.

Making its way to the bottom, the lava set ablaze everything in its way before entering the trench but there was more lava than they had anticipated and the trench was filling up quickly.

"It's too much! It's gonna overflow!" Katara said when lava rocks rained down splashing into the lava causing it to fly out of the trench and crash down on several homes.

Gasping Ren ran to the flames and slashed at them with his shadows before Katara used her waterbending to make it harden.

As Sokka ran to their aid, they had to get away before it got too out of control, but Aang stood his ground.

When a large rock splashed into the lava, Aang propelled himself into the air and began to airbend gathering up as much air as possible before bringing it down on the overflowing lava making it rise.

Taking a deep breath, Aang blew a giant gust of air which caused the lava to harden making an extra layer for the trench.

"Whoa, that was something else." Ren whistles impressed.

"Man, sometimes I forget what a powerful bender that kid is," Sokka said as Katara remembered what Aunt Wu told her about her marrying a powerful bender.

"What did you say?" Katara asks.

"Nothing, just that Aang is one powerful bender," Sokka said casually.

Looking up at him, Katara's eyes widen. Aang had stopped the lava from destroying the rest of the village all on his own. "I suppose he is," Katara said in realization.

The next morning after the volcano had calmed down, the villagers looked at the part that was destroyed, and needless to say, they were shaken to the core.

"How could this happen? Part of the village was destroyed but Aunt Wu said it would be saved." The calm man said freaking out.

"She lied to us?" A woman gasps as the village begins to argue.

Hearing all the whining and complaining, Ren finally had enough. "WILL YOU IDIOTS JUST SHUT UP?!" Ren snaps as shadows explode out of him getting their attention.

"I have had it up to here with all your stupid superstition garbage! Real?! Not real?! I don't give a damn! It's not Aunt Wu's fault part of your home was ruined it's your fault! You people put all your faith in a fortune teller and stopped thinking for yourselves! You just did whatever she said and didn't think twice! Frankly, it's a miracle none of you have died from your disregard for the world around you! You people are the biggest idiots I've ever met!" Ren snaps.

"Okay Ren, I think they get the point," Katara said when Sokka held out his hand stopping her.

"Don't you even think about stopping this." Sokka grins loving this.

"But Aunt Wu is always right." The man in red shoes said.

"No one is always right. I know you want to believe everything's fine and you'll always be safe and happy but that's not what the real world is. Bad things will always happen to you and people need to learn to deal with that. Pull your weight, take control of your own lives, and use your common sense for crying out loud! Or I guarantee you the next time that volcano erupts nobody will survive it!" Ren declares.

Catching his breath, the entire village took a few minutes to process his outburst.

"I…I guess it wouldn't hurt to start sending people up the mountain to look." The calm man admits.

"That's what I thought." Ren glares.

Walking over Sokka put a hand around Ren's neck.

"Buddy you are the best." Sokka smiles. "I've been wanting to tell off these people all day."

As Aunt Wu approaches them, Aang returns her book.

"By the way, we kind of borrowed your book," Aang admits.

"So you messed with the clouds, did you?" Aunt Wu glares.

While Aang was nervous, Sokka pointed to Katara hoping to blame her.

"Very clever." Aunt Wu chuckles turning to Ren. "And you sure let them have it."

"Look I don't mean to be rude but this town has become too dependent on you," Ren said.

"No, you're right. And I've gotten too accustomed to that. From now on I plan on keeping my fortunes to a minimum." Aunt Wu assures.

"Here's an alternative. Start charging for fortunes instead of giving them away for free. They can't be too dependent if they have to pay you all the time." Ren suggests.

"Interesting idea but what if they spend all their money?" Aunt Wu asks.

"That's their problem," Ren said not caring.

"I'll make a note of that idea. Oh and one more thing. I hope you'll be a little mindful of number 3." Aunt Wu smirks.

"Ren? What does she mean by that?" Katara asks.

"Is 3 your lucky number or something?" Sokka asks.

"None of your business," Ren said walking away to go get Appa with Sokka and Katara following him. None of them noticed a small blush on his face.

Seeing that they were alone, Aang turned to Aunt Wu. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, honey." She nods.

"You didn't really see love in my fortune, did you? You just told me what I wanted to hear." Aang realized.

"I'll tell you a little secret, young Airbender. Just as you reshaped those clouds, you have the power to shape your own destiny. As your Shadow friend told me earlier, your life is yours to control." Aunt Wu said as Aang smiles.

Turning his head, he sees his friends on Appa's back.

"Goodbye, everyone! It was so nice to meet you!" Katara waves.

"Try not to get yourselves killed anytime soon!" Ren yells.

"Take care Meng," Katara said noticing her in the front.

"Take care." Meng waved as they took off. "Floozy," Meng mutters under her breath.
