I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.
Chapter Sixty-One
Floating… floating… that's all Danielle felt when passing through the Portal. Rage… anger were still boiling within her. A loud roar was heard… weakening her enough. Then she felt something bump into her. Groaning, Danielle looks to the side to see Luz. Sitting up, Danielle gently wakes Luz.
"Luz… Luz… wake up… please," said Danielle, weakly before looking around. "The In Between?"
"Huh?" said Luz, waking up and seeing Danielle before hugging her. "Danielle, you're okay!"
"Not really," said Danielle, lightly hugging Luz back.
"Wait… are we stuck in the In Between?" asked Luz, standing up and helping Danielle.
"Looks like it," replied Danielle, holding onto Luz. "Where are the others?"
"I don't… know…" replied Luz, looking around before looking up. "Huh…"
"Is that…" said Danielle, seeing a figure walking above them. "Papa Titan?"
"King's dad?" said Luz, before feeling something grab and pull her under the water.
"Luz! Eeee!" said Danielle, before being pulled under herself before landing within the Demon Realm. "Mmmm."
"Luz! Danielle!" said Amity, helping the girls sit up. "You two were in there for so long, w-we thought you two got stuck behind! Are you two... hurt anywhere?"
"I'm... I-I'm fine. We saw Papa Titan for a brief moment," replied Luz, standing up. "Any sign of... him?"
"Oh, come on! It's not like a swarm of ghosts will inexplicably appear if you say his name!" said Hunter, looking at Luz. "...I think. Anyway, if Belos was here, he's long gone now."
"… … …" said Danielle, wiping her face before seeing her dad's blood on her hand. "Da-dad…"
"Danielle, cariño, it's gonna be okay," said Camila, bending down and about to wipe some blood off only for Danielle to pull away.
"I'll… I'll be…" said Danielle, her lips quivering.
"It's okay to cry," said Camila, looking at Danielle.
"Danielle, here," said Luz, placing Danielle's hat on her head. "Don't want to forget this."
"Thanks Luz," said Danielle, slowly standing up with Luz and Camila's help.
"This mama's hungry for vengeance!" said Camila, holding her baseball bat.
"Now THAT is a fight I'd watch!" said Gus, smiling.
"Where are we heading?" asked Danielle, as they started walking. "The Owl House has yet to be finished being rebuilt."
"Bonesborough," said Luz, looking ahead.
"Okay, everyone, coast is clear. Hmm?" said Willow, noticing some red grass. "Oh, hello, red grass! I've missed you! I can't talk for long, we're on a mission to save the Boiling Isles."
"…" said Danielle, slightly smiling while watching Gus illusion the red grass to talk.
"We don't have time for "red grass" or... i-illusions!" said Hunter, striding. "Belos had a head start, so we should keep moving until we find him!"
"Don't worry! I bet we'll all feel better when we punch Belos right through the face," said Willow, looking at Gus before punching her fists. "And yes, I mean THROUGH the face."
"Thanks, Willow," said Gus, laughing. "You're always looking out for us, aren't ya?"
"Well someone has to!" said Willow, smiling. "And it looks like my job here is done."
"Oh-ho-ho-ho, wow!" said Camila, amazed. "You kids were really holding back in the Human Realm, huh?"
"Maybe a little," said Amity, summoning forth some abomination goo towards her from the ground. "Ah! Hello, you gorgeous slime!"
"Mija, you never told me how pretty this place was!" said Camila, gesturing around. "The trees, the sky, qué belleza...aah!"
"Whoa," said Danielle, seeing certain buildings floating in the sky courtesy of magic bubbles.
"Kids, stand back!" said Camila, getting in front of the teens and squinting. "Who knows if that monster is alive or not?"
"Actually, the... Titan skull is normal," said Amity, looking at Camila. "Everything else is... wrong."
"Why are buildings in magic bubbles?" asked Danielle, staring around. "There's Hexside."
"Guys? What's on top of the skull?" asked Willow, pointing towards the tiara/crown floating above the Titan Skull.
"That would be the Archive House," replied Danielle, steadying herself against a tree. "You can thank Nova and Rune for that. Didn't I tell ya?"
"Oh, right," said Gus, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
"Let's get some answers while we're in Bonesborough," said Luz
"Wow! Skulls, bones..." said Camila, placing her hands on her hips. "I can really see this place helping you with your taxidermy hobby."
"Mama, you're pretending to like this place, aren't you?" said Luz, smiling weakly.
"No-oo! I love the fact that you've been living on a giant..." said Camila, smiling awkwardly. "Carcass."
"It's sweet of you, really. But I haven't changed my mind. After we rescue Eda, King and Aster, I'm staying in the Human Realm. Permanently," said Luz, walking away. "It's for the best."
"Wait… what?" said Danielle, looking towards Luz. "Luz?"
"Wait, let's talk first!" said Camila, following after her daughter.
"What I missed while enraged?" thought Danielle, following after Camila and Luz. "Wait… this path…"
"What is this place?" asked Camila, before staring up at the unfinished building in the magic bubble.
"Hello, down there!" said Mason, waving his hammer about. "Come on up!"
"Whoa!" said everyone, as a magic bubble appears around them and floats them up.
"What'cha think little misses?" asked Mason, looking at Danielle and Luz. "Lord King and his… little buddy… came up with it."
"It's… neat," said Danielle, before holding the side of her head. "Ooo."
"Welcome... to the Owl House. Or at least the remodel," said Luz, walking inside. "Belos burned down the original to ash."
"Luz, look," said Danielle, pointing at the ceiling.
"Looks like they returned like they said," said Luz, seeing the ceiling art. "Nice to see you old guardian."
"Should I even ask?" thought Camila, looking around. "So... this is the... Owl House…"
"Let's see if we can find whichever is Eda's room," said Danielle, looking at Luz.
"Yeah," said Luz, looking at Danielle.
"Top floor, you two," said Mason, looking at Danielle and Luz. "Anything in specific you want made?"
"No," replied Danielle and Luz, looking at Mason.
While everyone else searched around, Danielle and Luz head on up to the top floor. The girls were fascinated by the New Owl House. Aster and King had really done a good job on how they wanted it to look and Coven Head Mason delivered good on his work. Opening a specific door, Danielle and Luz instantly dubbed it Eda's room after seeing the large stained glass window. Seeing that it was as empty as the rest of the house, Danielle and Luz set off a Wood Glyph each, making a nest almost similar to Eda's old one she slept in. Crawling in, Danielle and Luz lay side to side while cradling their palisman close, setting off Light Glyphs one by one to light the room up.
"Hey," said Amity, lightly knocking on the door.
"Hey," said Danielle and Luz, glancing at Amity.
"Did... you think sitting in a nest was... gonna help your palismans hatch?" asked Amity, sitting on the edge of the nest.
"Possibly," replied Danielle, nuzzling her palisman.
"Maybe," replied Luz, dejectedly. "But nothing's happening."
"Remember what the Bat Queen said," said Amity, looking at Luz and Danielle. "To connect with the palisman, you need to express your deepest wish."
"Why does it look so dull in color?" thought Danielle, looking at her palisman. "Is it close to hatching or something?"
"I never asked," said Luz, sitting up. "How did you connect with your palisman?"
"Well, after being handed the staff, I said "I wanna be a great witch! Or... uh, I don't know, I... wanna be an author like Mildred Featherwhyle!"" replied Amity, before lightly petting Ghost. "But... she wouldn't move, until I admitted that... I don't know what I'm gonna be when I grow up, but... I wanna choose the path myself. And that was enough."
"I wanna be a witch, and help my friends," said Luz, staring at her palisman. "But doing one always seem to mess up the other. Why did this get so complicated?"
"I don't know what my wish is anymore," said Danielle, leaning into Luz. "Part of it is gone with my dad."
"And this isn't the... only reason you're in here. Is it?" asked Amity, holding out a photo. "I think Aster and King left it here without knowing."
"I'll find Eda, Aster and King," said Luz, looking up. "No matter how long it takes."
"I still have to give Aster his plushie," said Danielle, looking at the plushie in her fanny pack.
"IT'S EDA, ASTER AND KING!" shouted Hunter, gaining everyone's attention as they ran outside before pointing at a shooting star. "They were on that shooting star!"
"Didn't look like the right color," said Mason, looking out at the distance.
"How are we supposed to follow them?" asked Camila, seeing the shooting star disappear.
"Don't worry," said Amity, as everyone's palisman took staff form. "I'm a safe flier."
"Flier?" said Camila, shocked.
"I may need to be between two people for this," said Danielle, as Luz steadied her.
"Papa Titan must have weakened you enough to get you to calm down," said Luz, helping Danielle onto Amity's staff. "Can you still use your magic?"
"… … …" said Danielle, forming a pink star in the palm of her hand. "Yeah… I can."
After everyone had settled on their staffs, they had headed off towards where the shooting star headed. Seeing that it headed towards Bonesborough, they flew down a few streets before flying down. Dismounting the staffs, everyone looks around.
"Whoo, those things need seatbelts," said Camila, sighing in relief. "Hello, sweet earth."
"Someone catch me," said Danielle, about to pass out as Camila caught her. "Thank you, Ms. Noceda."
"Why don't you…" said Camila, before screaming upon seeing the lamp post look at her. "I-I mean, hello, good sir...?"
"… …" said Danielle, lightly laughing.
"Where are Eda, Aster and King?" asked Willow, looking around.
"Where is... anyone?" asked Gus, looking around as well.
"Signs for demolition?" said Danielle, seeing signs about.
"Something's coming," said Hunter, as he had peered around the corner.
"Witches?" said Gus, looking at Hunter.
"Demons?" said Willow, looking at Hunter as well.
"No, it-it's..." said Hunter, squinting and turning around. "Explosives!"
"Go-go-go!" shouted Luz, as everyone ran down an alley as Willow and Amity conjured up an Abomination/Vine wall as a barrier.
"I think I know who did that," said Danielle, as the Abomination/Vine wall went down. "Nova."
"The one with the blaze?" said Luz, looking at Danielle before seeing Nova and Rune nearby. "Then that one is Rune."
"That's another part down," said Rune, looking at a magical diagram of the town. "The flow is getting better."
"Ugh, why are we doing this so slow?" asked Nova, looking at Rune. "I can just blaze this whole town down in an instance."
"We need to keep the flow of magic…" said Rune, before seeing Danielle stomp over. "Uh oh."
"Uh oh what?" said Nova, before being grabbed by Danielle and spanked. "Stop it! Stop it!"
"You just never quit, do you?" said Danielle, still spanking Nova before looking at Rune. "And you…"
"For good reason, for good reason!" said Rune, covering his butt.
"Then explain quickly before you're in Nova's position," said Danielle, glaring at Rune.
"We're just trying to fix the flow of magic around the isles," said Rune, looking at Danielle. "A lot of the buildings are blocking it."
"Then just move the buildings to another location," said Danielle, looking at Rune after Nova scurried out of her hold. "A lot of people are being displaced cause of this."
"That still hurt," said Nova, rubbing his butt.
"There has to be a perfect balance," said Rune, looking at Danielle. "With the way how some buildings are built are not working. It has to work with the flow… harmonize. There's a delicate…"
"Okay, okay, I see where you're going," said Danielle, pinching the bridge of her nose. "But where is everyone?"
"For the buildings that are actually perfect, some have been staying there. Others built camps," replied Rune, looking at Danielle. "And others… have been turned to puppets by Nova."
"I need some hunting buddies," said Nova, glaring at Rune. "Besides, most of the Coven Heads are guarding the Owl Beast."
"Wait… is Eda…" said Luz, looking at Rune.
"The Owl Beast doesn't seem to like us very much… well, mostly Nova," said Rune, looking at Luz. "So, she's basically confined to a certain area."
"All the Coven Heads?" said Amity, looking at Nova and Rune.
"Not all," said Rune, looking at Amity. "Nova sometimes unpuppets Coven Head Raine to talk."
"He doesn't make any sense! Gender and sex are the same," said Nova, looking at Rune. "And him saying at times when he's neither, it just doesn't… ugh… this is why I say mortals are corrupt. They're impure!"
"How'd you all get back anyway?" asked Rune, looking at everyone.
"Natural gateway… Titan Blood…" said Danielle, looking at Rune.
"Belos activated it… after he killed Danielle's dad…" said Luz, thinking back to what happened. "Flapjack saved Hunter's life…"
"So that means Belos is here," said Rune, squinting.
"Protocol Hunt is on!" said Nova, flying away.
"Nova!" shouted Danielle, before teetering.
"Got you," said Rune, steadying Danielle. "What happened to her?"
"Me and Danielle got stuck in the In Between for a bit and Papa Titan… he well…" replied Luz, nervously chuckling. "Weakened her a bit."
"What?!" said Rune, looking at Luz than Danielle.
"Danielle lost it when Belos killed her dad," said Luz, looking at Rune. "She was enraged and… now looks like this."
"I'm not sensing any human within her," said Rune, checking Danielle. "That may have triggered the final ascension… that or I'm missing something I can't see yet."
"I think… I need…to… lie down for… a bit…" said Danielle, slumping in Rune's hold.
"Danielle…" said Luz, before piggybacking Danielle onto her. "Is there someplace we can go so she can rest for a bit?"
"You can go with them," said Rune, pointing towards Mattholomule.
"Mattholomule?" said Gus, as Mattholomule ran over with his little group.
"You guys are okay!" said Mattholomule, staring at everyone before locking on to Danielle. "And the prin…"
"Stop it," said Luz, slapping Mattholomule with her hat. "Danielle doesn't like you like that."
"Right, let's get you to Hexside," said Rune, placing everyone on a star that went up like an escalator. "Have fun."
"Stay asleep, stay asleep, stay asleep," thought Luz, as they got closer to Hexside.
"Mmm," said Danielle, leaning her head in to Luz's shoulder.
"Phew," said Luz, sighing in relief.
"So, what's been happening the last couple of months?" asked Gus, looking at Mattholomule.
"Actually, it's been smooth since Aster sticks up for us," replied Mattholomule, looking at everyone. "Though Nova is a different story."
"He puppets anyone he can so they can hunt King alongside him," said Skara, looking at everyone. "He's already puppeted people that could pass for whatever race King is."
"Was one as short as King and had a blue flame candle on the top of his head?" asked Luz, looking at Skara.
"Uh, yeah," replied Skara, looking at Luz. "Do you know them?"
"Yeah, they're kinda bad news," replied Luz, looking toward Hexside.
"And somewhere along the way, I went from being Mattholomule..." said Mattholomule, smudging his drawn on facial hair. "... to Mantholomule."
"You got to be kidding me," said Danielle, lifting her head up before noticing her predicament. "Aaah! Nooo! Get me off this magic escalator!"
"Help… me!" said Luz, as Danielle gripped her tightly.
"Mija!" said Camila, as they landed before trying to get Danielle off alongside everyone else. "Come on now. You have to release Luz now."
"I hate escalators!" said Danielle, as everyone got her off Luz.
"Air!" said Luz, leaning against a post.
"Welcome to..." said Skara, pushing the doors open. "New Hexside!"
"How is it new?" asked Luz, looking around as they walked. "It kinda… looks the same."
"The atmosphere feels different," said Danielle, looking around. "It's like everyone is on edge."
"It's because of our new leaders," replied Mattholomule, as they continued down the halls. "We were at least able to still make the Bump statue like last ti… hey, what are you doing?"
"Having it removed," said Odalia, turning around.
"Do you see who's back?" said Student #1, staring over the railing.
"Look who it is," said Student #2, looking at the group.
"Oh my gosh, it's Amity," said Student #3, as everyone waved at them.
"Hey, where've you guys been? Who's tall Luz?" asked Student #4, peering from the top floor.
"Everyone, back to your classes!" said Odalia, glaring at the students.
"The statue is just fine," said Mattholomule, glaring at Odalia. "Leave it alone. Everyone wants it here."
"Oh please, it's an eyesore," said Odalia, glaring at Mattholomule. "I'm having it replaced with something more catching… like me."
"That's a big waste of money," said Danielle, eyeing Odalia.
"Well, it looks like the human and half witch are back. As well as the misfits," said Odalia, glaring at everyone then Amity. "I'm glad to see you back Mittens. I want you to see me in my office to go over your new schedule."
"Your office?" said Amity, before glaring at her mom. "You're the new leader of Hexside?"
"I don't see what's wrong," said Odalia, looking at Amity. "Everything is the way it should be. Now as for you two, you're expelled from Hexside immediately. So, get off school grounds!"
"Don't talk to Danielle and my daughter that way," said Camila, gripping the baseball bat.
"You must be the human's mother. I can see where she gets it from," said Odalia, before walking away. "Amity, my office."
"Wait, you said leaders," said Danielle, looking at Mattholomule. "Who's the other?"
"I'll take you to them," replied Mattholomule, looking at everyone.
"Mittens?!" said Emira, running over.
"Em!" said Amity, hugging her sister.
"Heya, sis!" said Edric, walking over. "Amity!"
"Oh. My. Titan!" said Amity, seeing her brother in a full body cast.
"Ed, you're gonna hurt yourself!" said Emira, looking at her brother.
"I don't care, I wanna hug my sister!" said Edric, screaming as he breaks the cast around his arms and pulls his little sister into a hug. "Siblings!"
"What the heck happened to Edric?" asked Danielle, nervously checking Edric.
"Yeah, it still happened," replied Edric, looking at everyone. "I fell down a well that had rocks at the bottom."
"Come here you weirdos!" said Amity, smiling as she hugs her brother and sister.
"I actually found someone when I was down on the isles a while ago," said Emira, gesturing the person forward. "She's human, just like…"
"Ming!" said Danielle and Luz, seeing Ming in Hexside.
"Hey…" said Ming, nervously waving.
"What are you doing here?" asked Danielle, looking at Ming.
"I-I-I… don't know," said Ming, nervously looking away.
"She ran into the Portal before any of us," said Luz, looking at Danielle.
"Again… why?" said Danielle, staring at Ming. "Are you gonna spread that Ice Queen rumor here?"
"No… I…" said Ming, nervously looking down. "I panicked when I saw what was happening at the archway! I saw all those memories of us back in the day when we were still friends and I… I just…"
"You just what?" said Danielle, staring at Ming.
"I'm sorry… I'm sorry…" said Ming, slumping to the floor crying. "I was the one to start up that Ice Queen rumor."
"What?" said Danielle, glaring at Ming. "Do you have any idea…"
"I was wrong, I shouldn't have done that," said Ming, staring up at Danielle. "Your grampa scares the living daylights out of me and I was getting tired of staying a secret friend. I shouldn't have pressured you to stand up to him, I just… I just…"
"I was nine years old Ming," said Danielle, looking at Ming. "Do you really think I could have stood up against my grampa at that time?"
"No…no…" replied Ming, wiping away her tears. "I didn't mean to hurt you so much. I kept watching you, hoping we could rekindle it somehow but you never did."
"You didn't make it easy for me since you started that rumor," said Danielle, looking at Ming. "Besides, you gained a title yourself during those years… and wasn't geared towards lacrosse Mad Ming Zhang."
"I don't care if you're not human, you were still my friend once," said Ming, looking at Danielle. "I know I can't be forgiven that easily after all that I've done… but still…"
"One step at a time Ming," said Danielle, bending down and activating a Plant Glyph in Ming's hands, a daffodil in her hand.
"Danielle…" said Ming, wiping away her tears. "You still remember my favorite flower."
"Course I do," said Danielle, pulling Ming up into a standing position. "We'll work on it."
"Amity Blight, to my office!" shouted Odalia, over the intercom.
"Give me that!" said Boscha, over the intercom. "Attention! Would Captain Tholomule escort his guests to the Council Chamber? And DO IT NOW!"
"Captain who?" said Willow, puzzled.
"Wait," said Gus, turning to look at Mattholomule. "Has Tholomule been your last name this whole time?!"
"You just figured that out now," said Danielle, looking at Gus. "I knew within the first few days."
"You got to be kidding," said Gus, facepalming.
"I'd sooner deal with Boscha than my mom right now," said Amity, before looking at Mattholomule. "Lead the way."
Going down a few hallways, Mattholomule leads the way to where Boscha was. Though had to deal with Odalia yelling over the intercom. Once at the chamber… or actually the gym. Opening the doors, everyone sees Boscha with two others bossing around Jerbo.
"Uh... so... if... we got a group to... organize supplies, we can keep track of perishables," said Jerbo, looking at Boscha. "And... that way, we won't have to... fight over food anymore."
"Hmmm..." said Boscha, thinking.
"President, if I may be so bold," said a Short Demon, looking at Boscha.
"President?!" said Luz, shocked.
"This would take valuable resources away from your guard," said the Short Demon, looking at Boscha. "You don't want to be "collected" like the others, do you?"
"Good point, Miki. Next!" said Boscha, snapping her fingers.
"That is so Kikimora in disguise," thought Danielle, staring at the disguised Kikimora. "Though I have to admit, that white wig does look good on her."
"Oh my gosh, it's you guys!" said Jerbo, seeing everyone.
"Did she take any of our ideas?" asked Mattholomule, looking at Jerbo.
"No," replied Jerbo, about to walk off. "So glad you're alive!"
"If it's not Odalia, it's Boscha!" said Mattholomule, pulling at his hair. "Uh, Boscha, we found… ugh, right… allow me to introduce Student Body President Boscha! And her trusted guards, Miki and Roka."
"Welcome to new Hexside!" said Boscha, playing with a grudgby ball. "Home to the future of the Isles and... stuff."
"What the heck is going on here?" asked Luz, staring at Boscha.
"Yeah, Hexside doesn't even have a student council!" said Amity, staring at Boscha. "I would know, I kept trying to organize one, but Bump thought I was too "obsessed" and…"
"Alright girl, take a breath," said Willow, patting Amity's shoulder.
"And who are you two?" asked Gus, pointing at the disguised Kikimora.
"My little sister and I were traveling…" replied Kikimora, staying in disguise.
"Hello, Kikimora," said Danielle, waving at Kikimora. "I'm assuming that's the Abomatron Odalia gave you on the Day of Unity."
"What?" said Boscha, staring at Kikimora.
"You little…" said Kikimora, as Boscha took her disguise off.
"You… you…" said Boscha, heated.
"What… I helped you become a better leader here," said Kikimora, looking at Boscha. "We're doing so much better than… Odalia."
"You're right," said Boscha, agreeing with Kikimora. "We are flourishing!"
"Well, first of all, I'd like to introduce you to my mama, Camila! And honorary Hexolio, Hunter!" said Luz, gesturing to her mom and Hunter than Danielle. "And full…"
"Get to the point Noceda," said Boscha, glaring at Luz.
"Long story short, we're here to help," said Luz, looking at Boscha. "Belos is back on the isles."
"He's what?" shouted Boscha, dropping her grudgby ball. "My empire!"
"Don't worry," said Danielle, looking at Boscha. "We plan on saving…"
"As the leader, the safety of Boscha's subjects is paramount," said Kikimora, walking forward. "And this is a suicide mission! After the horrors her own grudgby team faced…"
"Ugh, quiet! I don't need to hear that again!" said Boscha, irritated. "But... Kikimora's right. We're staying put."
"But…" said Luz, staring at Boscha.
"And that's THAT!" said Boscha, glaring at everyone.
"We're not part of your little empire here Boscha," said Danielle, eyes glowing as she glared at Boscha. "We don't have to follow your orders."
"Let's just go," said Luz, pulling Danielle out of the gym with the others following before looking at Mattholomule. "What happened?"
"It's been like this ever since Miki… I mean Kikimora and that Abomatron showed up! We want to fix stuff around here, but... anytime we suggest something, Kikimora threatens to throw people into the Detention Pit," replied Mattholomule, looking at everyone. "And Odalia is no better. She's expelled tons of students for not standing up to her expectations of what a witch should be."
"The WHAT?!" said Camila, shocked.
"You don't want to know," said Danielle, looking at Camila. "Really, you don't."
"Maybe there's another way... we really need Rune and Nova on our side," said Luz, looking at everyone before following Mattholomule. "I don't know how to get into the Archives, but... we may be able to get close. By teleporting directly into the Titan's skull!"
"You're talking about that Teleportation Glyph that was only used a handful of times," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "I remember it. We just need a large enough area where we can draw it without being seen."
"I don't really remember it," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "That's why I wanted to have my memory searched for it to refresh my mind."
"Okay, the coast is clear," said Gus, signaling Mattholomule for the go ahead.
"Nice hidden entrance," said Danielle, as they entered a hidden room.
"This, is where me and Jerbo had been trying to come up with plans to make Hexside more livable," said Mattholomule, gesturing to the setup.
"Keep it in, keep it in!" said Willow, noticing a picture of her dad before spotting a picture of Hunter and Flapjack. "Oh!"
"Plans to convert the gym into a common space? Schedules for rotating guard shifts?" said Gus, looking at the plans. "Is that a dinner menu using veggies from the Plant Homeroom? Mattholomule, you are actually a decent leader!"
"Did you ever have any doubt in your mind?" asked Mattholomule, flipping his hair.
"Not really," said Danielle, looking at Mattholomule. "Just get rid of the fake facial hair and I'll take you seriously."
"Alright," said Luz, sitting down and taking her hat off. "Time to take a walk down memory lane. It may take some digging to find it."
"Or maybe I could trigger the memory itself with my magic so we don't have to do that," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "It'll be a lot more quicker."
"No," said Luz, looking at Danielle with discomfort. "You've never done that before and I don't want to lose any of my memories, so no."
"We're gonna have to split up into two teams anyway," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "Some straight to the archives to recruit Nova and Rune. And some straight to the Titan's heart to protect it from Belos. It's endgame if he possesses Papa Titan again."
"I know that," said Luz, before looking at Willow. "Willow, go ahead."
"Right then," said Willow, holding the memory tweezers to Luz's ears.
"...I'm gonna assume those are clean," said Camila, staring at the memory tweezers.
"They're cleaned every time they're used," said Danielle, looking at Camila. "And before being used on another person."
"That's good," said Camila, sighing a breath of relief.
"Anything yet?" asked Danielle, looking at Willow and Luz.
"I've only got two so far," replied Willow, before staring at the photo. "I think we found it."
"Wow, that was a lot more quicker than I thought," said Luz, looking at the photo. "Whoa, it's so clear! We can use this to get to the skull!"
"Mesmerize it Luz," said Danielle, looking at Luz.
"I am!" said Luz, looking at Danielle than back at the photo.
"Finally," said Hunter, standing up. "We can get moving again."
"Before we go..." said Willow, stopping Hunter. "Look what I found."
"We're all gonna miss Flapjack, but..." said Gus, looking at Hunter. "We know he loved you the most."
"Dad," thought Danielle, touching her earrings. "I miss you."
"And we just wanna let you know, we don't care who you're supposed to be. 'Cause you are one of us now," said Willow, looking at Hunter. "Never forget that."
"Hunter, are you okay?" asked Luz, putting on her hat.
"I... don't know," said Hunter, looking back at the photo.
"Oh, um... I'm... sorry, I..." said Willow, overwhelmed with guilt. "Didn't mean to make things worse."
"Willow, it's not you," said Danielle, looking at Willow.
"I, uh... I'll be right back," said Willow, running out of the room.
"Willow," said Danielle looking at Willow before Luz. "We have to do something. Remember that memory of a rundown apocalyptic Hexside."
"Boscha was putting Willow…" said Luz, gasping. "We have to stop her."
"Gus! Hunter!" said Danielle, as the two left. "Wait!"
"Let them go," said Camila, placing her hand on Danielle's shoulder. "Those two should be able to get Willow to listen."
"Woof! They're not coming back, are they?" asked Mattholomule, looking at everyone.
"You kids have gone through too much," said Camila, looking at everyone. "Even when we rescue your families, there's still so much to fix."
"At least we'll all be together to figure it out," said Amity, before smiling. "Right, Luz?"
"Amity... I should tell you something," said Luz, before the wall was blasted down and Kikimora and Odalia walked in.
"Ha! So, the rumors were true," said Kikimora, staring at Mattholomule. "You were trying to stage a coup, little Mattholomule!"
"You were suppose to be in my office ages ago Mittens," said Odalia, glaring at her daughter.
"Yeah! We were!" said Mattholomule, pointing at the two. "'Cause you guys are the worst!"
"I'm making Hexside better than what it used to be," said Odalia, glaring at Mattholomule.
"What's that smell?" asked Camila, sniffing an odd odor in the air.
"Sleeping nettles!" said Danielle and Luz, sniffing and recognizing the smell.
"Most important rule of Grudgby: "Always expect the unexpected"" said Boscha, coming round the corner while holding a potion.
Everyone passes out after inhaling the potion. Back at the Archive House, Nova was taking a little power nap. Not knowing that Philip had possessed Raine during that time since he returned, Philip enters his bedroom. Glaring at Nova, Philip stares at him, thinking he's Aster, before sending goo towards him. Nova's senses kick in, before tangling Philip in his blanket.
"The heck?" said Nova, staring at Raine-Philip. "You're not supposed to move on your own! How did you break your spell?"
"The spell isn't broken. See?" said Raine-Philip, moving his hair slightly to reveal the sun mark on his forehead. "You take such good care of us Coven Heads, Collector, keeping us safe in the Archives. It was the uh... power of your kindness that brought me to life, so I could tell you…"
"Pfft, friendship, yeah right. There's no friendship between us," said Nova, glaring at Raine-Philip and noticing a little goo before grinning.
"I find it unique," said Raine-Philip, staring at Nova. "You look different then when I first saw you."
"You can consider a day to night thing," said Nova, playing along. "Same thing with the phases of the moon."
"Fascinating," said Raine-Philip, staring at Nova.
"So, what did you want to tell me anyway?" asked Nova, glaring at Raine-Philip.
"You're in danger, Collector," replied Raine-Philip, staring at Nova.
"Me? In danger?" said Nova, laughing slightly. "Good one."
"It's true," said Raine-Philip, staring at Nova. "Someone very close to you is planning their betrayal, right-now."
"You talking about the Titan baby King, right," said Nova, glaring at Raine-Philip.
"Titan?" said Raine-Philip, staring at Nova, a little surprised. "You know, the human and half witch are here too."
"Know and meet them," said Nova, glaring at Raine-Philip. "Interesting that you forgot that King's a Titan. I mentioned it on the Day of Unity… Raine. You've worked in the castle, you saw the beating heart still. When full grown, they are more powerful than anyone on this planet."
"It must have slipped my mind," said Raine-Philip, staring at Nova. "What with everything going on."
"I'm not liking this Philip," thought Nova, glaring at Philip. "But I'll play along… for now."
Meanwhile back at Hexside, Kikimora had everyone contained within a ball of abomination goo. Heading towards the detention pit, Kikimora had the Abomatron drop them in the pit, the ball of abomination goo splitting open as everyone falls out.
"Blech!" said Danielle, shaking some abomination goo off. "Do you know how long it will take to get rid of this smell? I really like this outfit."
"What gives, Kikimora?" asked Luz, glaring up at Kikimora, furiously. "Are you working for Nova?"
"The days of Kikimora the underling are over. I prefer partnership such as ours," said Kikimora, gesturing to Boscha. "We need to establish our rule now, for the well-being of future generations."
"Just leave my daughter to me," said Odalia, glaring at Kikimora. "I need to set her back in her place."
"Okay, I'm still catching up," said Camila, looking at Luz. "What's the little red kitten trying to do?"
"Pfft," said Danielle, containing her laugh. "Little red kitten."
"She's just copying Belos' "scare people into worship" thing because she has NO IDEAS OF HER OWN!" replied Luz, before glaring up at Kikimora.
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this!" said Kikimora, punching her fists before jumping down into the pit alongside Odalia. "You think I'd just drop you in and walk away? No, I think I'll take you out myself!"
"Not so fast," said Danielle, creating a shield to block the cannon fire from Kikimora.
"Boscha, come on!" said Amity, staring at Boscha. "This is a bit much, even for you!"
"I have a feeling she wasn't one to return like the others," said Danielle, blocking alongside Luz.
"I-I-I-I think I remember the Ice glyph!" said Camila, beginning to draw said glyph on the ground.
"Mama, wait!" said Luz, before seeing her mom activate the glyph.
A large piece of ice block shoots up and hits the pit door, destroying it. Rocks and rubble start falling all around the Detention pit. Kikimora shields herself with the Abomatron's arm. Amity wraps herself and Mattholomule in a ball of Abomination goo and rolls away. Luz and Danielle pounces towards Camila and pushes her backwards before the falling stones separate them. Starin around Camila sees she's separated from her daughter and the rest only to see Odalia facing her down.
"Oh, if it isn't the human's mother," said Odalia, glaring at Camila. "Your daughter has been a bad influence since the day she arrived."
"Don't talk about my daughter like that, bruja," said Camila, holding her baseball bat up.
"I'll talk however I like. I can see where she gets it from," said Odalia, using her Oracle magic to send the spirit in her necklace after Camila. "I won't have her dating Mittens."
"Whoa…" said Camila, swinging the baseball at the spirit, not harming it only for it to shriek and run away. "Huh?"
"How did you… what protective charm do you have that you brought from the Human Realm?" asked Odalia, glaring at Camila.
"It couldn't…" thought Camila, feeling the little satchel around her neck which contained salt, lavender and dill. "It actually works. Turns out abuela is right."
"You may be protected but the half witch isn't," said Odalia, turning to see Danielle stirring awake.
"Ow, my head," said Danielle, before seeing the spirit come her way. "Eee!"
"Danielle!" shouted Camila, running over to Danielle as the spirit ran off course. "Are you okay, cariño?"
"I'll be fine. Just was knocked down for a bit," replied Danielle, as Camila helped her up. "What's that strega about to?"
"What did you call me half witch? Or should I call you witch hunter?" said Odalia, glaring at Danielle. "I look forward to ending you myself. Bad enough I followed Belos around but I won't tolerate another witch hunter here."
"And yet you created an army of abominations for him," said Danielle, glaring at Odalia. "You'll be just as hated as him for…"
"I'd shut that mouth of yours permanently," said Odalia, sending the spirit towards the two, only for it to veer off course. "Ugh, that protective charm has to go!"
"You know, I heard a lot about you from Amity and they were not good," said Camila, pointing her baseball bat at Odalia. "I was more of a mother figure to her while she was stuck in my realm than you'll ever be. All you did was carry her to term but you are no mother."
"How dare you!" shouted Odalia, her magic flaring around her, her eyes aglow. "I gave her everything! I gave her life! You are not her mother, I am! And I won't have her dating your daughter!"
"Why?" asked Camila, glaring at Odalia. "Is it cause she's a girl and not a boy?"
"Oh, I have no problem that she's a girl. I have a problem with the fact she's human!" shouted Odalia, glaring at Camila. "I won't have my bloodline tainted! It will be purely witch!"
"She's gone insane," said Danielle, before a blast resounded around the room.
Feeling the ground crack a bit, Danielle and Camila see blasts from the other side of the room. The blasts was careening all over the room. Dodging out of the way of a blast, the floor finally collapses as everyone is falling towards the bottom of the magic bubble. Elsewhere, during that whole course, Gus and Hunter had woken up.
"What... happened?" asked Gus, looking around. "I remember smelling sleeping nettles."
"Yeah, and... I think I saw Kikimora, which is definitely a bad sign," said Hunter, before pointing in a direction. "That way is all caved in so…"
"This way," said Gus, walking in the opposite direction. "Yeah. I'm ready to kick some new Hexside butt."
"Oh, Flapjack... Everyone's on edge and I don't know what to say. I wish you were here," said Hunter, walking after Gus before noticing a vine wrap around his arm. "Huh? Gus!"
Hunter notices something and gasps, stopping in his tracks. In front of him, Gus is tightly wrapped in vines, hanging upside town and looking terrified. On the ground, Willow is wrapped in vines too. She turns around to look at Hunter, eyes a glowing.
"Oh, Hunter!" said Willow, pulling her arm up and breaking the vines before casting a spell circle. "I had a little run-in with Boscha and got stuck down here. Gus just... surprised me."
"What's going on?" asked Hunter, rushing forward.
"I've got it all under control," replied Willow, trying to free Gus only to make it worse.
"Uh, I don't think it's working!" said Gus, before being completely encased in vines.
"I can do this. I can do this. I can do this! I can do this... I can do this...!" said Willow, not noticing her vines encasing Hunter too before looking around and becoming scared. "Hello...? Gus? Hunter? Gus!"
Willow draws a spell circle, but it summons more vines instead, causing her to scream in surprise. Somewhere behind Willow, Hunter, who is also wrapped up in vines, opens his eyes and stares at Willow.
"I can do this! I can do this... I can't do this," said Willow, dropping to her knees as vines emerge around her. "I can't control my own magic. I can't help my friends. Ugh, why have I been trying to be someone different? Boscha's right, I'll always just be... half-a-witch Willow."
As Willow speaks, the vines start to wrap around her, eventually completely concealing her. Hunter tears up as he sees this happening. Suddenly, his entire body starts to glow a bright yellow, and he balls up his fist. And then, with a scream, he breaks free from the vines and teleports forward, crashing through the vines Willow's been wrapped in and brings her out.
"You didn't make anything worse, you didn't do anything wrong! You guys mean the world to me, and I..." said Hunter, teary eyed. "I didn't know how to say that yet. Just please don't call yourself that ever again. You've been holding in a lot, haven't you?"
"Willow!" said Gus, gaining Willow's attention. "Reliable people need someone to rely on too! Just let it out, we'll be fine!"
"I miss my dad... and my mom…" said Willow, crying. "I hate the fact I won't be able to die on the isles and be with you guys. I don't want to go to the Veil and pass on there. I want to pass here… with you guys. I want my future kids… grandkids to be able to pass on wherever they are."
"What's this about the Veil?" asked Gus, looking at Willow. "You never told us that."
"'Cause I didn't want you to worry," replied Willow, still crying. "There's something about the Veil that pulls ones that were born there or have a bloodline there back just so we can die there. I don't want that! It's not fair! I want to be with you guys!"
"Hey!" said Gus, looking at Hunter than pointing to the left.
The entire ground starts to shake as Willow cries. Hunter looks at the vines crashing down all around them with a stupefied expression on his face. One of Gus's illusions then pops up. Hunter turns around to look at it. Hunter grabs Willow by the shoulder and teleports over to Gus. He then grabs Gus and teleports away before a large rock crashes into where Gus was at. Hunter then teleports and moves upwards in a zig-zag pattern, before a blast from outside has them falling alongside the rest that were falling. Hitting the inside of the magic bubble, everyone starts sliding towards a large opening at the bottom.
"What's that for?" asked Luz, as they continued to slide down.
"Where do you think the waste goes? It has to go somewhere," asked Mattholomule, looking at everyone. "It gets purified before leaving and landing back on the isles to fertilize it."
"Eeew!" said everyone, glaring at the large hole.
"Aaaah!" screamed Camila, nearing the edge alongside Odalia before falling through only to grab the edge and Odalia. "Hold on!"
"Mama!" shouted Luz, scared.
"Ms. Camila!" shouted everyone, scared as well.
"Let go of me you filthy human!" shouted Odalia, glaring at Camila.
"Do you not see how high we're up?" asked Camila, glaring at Odalia. "You still have a lot…"
"I said let me go," said Odalia, as ghostly flames surrounded her hands before grabbing Camila's wrist.
"Aaaah!" screamed Camila, as the ghostly flames start to burn her wrists.
"If I'm going down, I'm taking you down with me!" said Odalia, deranged as she glared at Camila. "Then again, I have a spirit to help me while you plummet to your death!"
"Aaaah!" screamed Camila, as Odalia blasted at her hand and plummeting towards the ground.
"Mama!" screamed Luz, seeing her mom fall.
"Hahaha! I win human!" shouted Odalia, only for her spirit to pass her and grab Camila. "What are you doing? You're supposed to save me!"
"But I thought…" said Camila, as the spirit carried her up.
"You lost the satchel up there," said the Spirit, looking at Camila. "Besides, I always hated that woman."
"Mama!" said Luz, seeing the Spirit place her mom near her before hugging her.
"It's okay Luz," said Camila, hugging her daughter back. "I'm right here."
"One crisis averted but we'll still slipping towards that hole," said Danielle, as everyone continued to slide towards it.
"Everyone, get your palisman out!" shouted Amity, summoning Ghost before mounting said staff alongside everyone else.
Exiting through the hole at the bottom of the sphere, everyone heads to the isles. But Kikimora wasn't done with them. Kikimora had shot a large blast that ended up separating everyone, disorienting the palisman as they fell to the ground. Back at the Archive House, Nova was still dealing with Raine-Philip.
"What do you expect me to do?" asked Nova, glaring at Raine-Philip. "Luz was gonna return eventually."
"Don't you want to stop her from ruining your game?" asked Raine-Philip, staring at Nova. "Or from taking King from you?"
"Like they can stop me… …," said Nova, getting into Raine-Philip's face. "Or even you Philip."
"… …" said Raine-Philip, acting fast and blasting straight into Nova's face.
"Aaah! Get off me you no good slimy…" said Nova, as Philip started seeping into his being. "Ew! Gross!"
"Stay still, you meddlesome child!" shouted Philip, crawling all over Nova's being. "You will help me wipe out this realm! Just like you're suppose too."
"I will burn you out!" shouted Nova, getting angry.
"Huh… wha…" said Raine, getting his bearings before gasping upon seeing what was happening. "Nova!"
"I can handle this!" shouted Nova, blasting Raine far away before trying to get Philip off him. "I'll incinerate you out of existence!"
"Not until I deal with the witches and their realm!" shouted Philip, crawling further into Nova's being. "Now be a good boy… and let me possess you!"
"Aaaaaaaaaaah!" screamed Nova, before being completely taken over before chuckling.
"Now then… to cleanse this perdition…" said Nova-Philip, his eyes glowing a baleful blue. "Then my realm!"
After having landed on the ground… er, well the trees, Danielle looks around. Turns out, she was alone after being blasted and separated from the others.
"Ow! Nothing's going right," said Danielle, hanging from some vines in the trees.
Gettig herself free, Danielle lands on the ground. Searching around for everyone, Danielle clutches her necklace. A yellow blitz slams into her before seeing it was Hunter, Willow and Gus.
"Willow. Gus. Hunter," said Danielle, hugging the three. "You're okay."
"Hunter, how did you do that?" asked Gus, staring at Hunter.
"Do what?" asked Hunter, as Willow and Gus stared at him.
"You have magic, dude!" said Gus, happily.
"Wait… what?" said Danielle, looking at Gus than Hunter. "I thought you didn't have magic."
"The... magic of friendship?" said Hunter, looking at Gus, Willow and Danielle.
"No! The magic of FLAPJACK!" said Willow, placing her hand on Hunter's chest.
"Flapjack?" said Danielle, noticing a whitish gold spirit of Flapjack surrounding Hunter.
Hunter chokes up. He suddenly notices a bright purple flash to his right, and immediately teleports away with Gus, Willow and Danielle. A bright purple force field passes right behind Hunter.
"Huh?" said Danielle, Willow, Gus and Hunter, staring at Luz holding a unique staff with a glowing purple orb, her mom right behind her.
"Sorry!" said Luz, laughing as she stood up. "I'm still getting the hang of this."
"Luz has a staff," said Gus, unbelievably.
"Why does that make me nervous?" asked Willow, staring at Luz.
"Palisman… Luz's palisman hatched," thought Danielle, slowly reaching and placing her hand against her fanny pack. "Is mine… close to hatching as well?"
"There you are!" said Kikimora, having the Abomatron push the trees aside. "I'm done playing hide-and-seek!"
"Anyone want a full size plushie?" asked Danielle, the tips of her index fingers glowing as she pointed at Kikimora.
"No!" shouted everyone, staring at Danielle.
Kikimora aims her cannon at Luz and fires. Willow immediately summons vines from the ground and surfs forward, blocking the attack from Kikimora with the vines. She then draws a spell circle. Willow commands the trees to fall and crash towards Kikimora's Abomatron. She then uses a vine to grab the Abomatron's left hand, and slaps Kikimora with it. Furiously, Kikimora fires her cannon at Willow, but missed. Gus creates more spell circles in between his hands. He uses it to create three illusions of Willow flying. Kikimora fires at two of them, destroying both. Danielle gets a shot in, turning Kikimora and the Abomatron to plushies.
"I know you guys said no but she had it coming," said Danielle, blowing the smoke away from her index fingers.
"Stop right… there…" said Mattholomule, entering the scene with a bunch of other students and Amity, only to see the plushie Kikimora and Abomatron. "Okay, someone just took the fun away."
"You can still play with her if you like," said Danielle, as Amity ran towards everyone. "She won't bother anyone till I release that spell… … somehow… hehe."
"And Odalia?" asked Boscha, staring at everyone.
"Fell to her death," replied Camila, looking at Boscha and the other students.
"From the waste hole, I might add," said Mattholomule, grinning slightly.
"No offense, but I don't want to attend Hexside should her spirit decides to haunt it," said Danielle, looking at everyone. "I'd search for her body, remove it from the premises and exorcise the land. She can be buried or cremated elsewhere."
"Agreed," said the students, seeing Danielle's point.
"Let's get that glyph drawn up," said Danielle, grabbing a nearby branch.
Taking out the memory photo, Luz studies it one last time. Everyone looks before helping Luz draw it. Before Luz could finish, the orb glows, and the staff starts flying, much to Luz's delight.
"Someone is excited to meet you," said Danielle, watching Luz fly about drawing alongside her palisman.
"Yes, they are! Oooo, I can't tell what you're gonna be, but... thank you, little friend!" said Luz, as the Teleportation Glyph is finished.
Activating the Teleportation Glyph, everyone that was within is teleported to the head of the Titan. Looking up, everyone gets a better look at the Archive House.
"We... we made it!" said Gus, looking around. "I wonder what Rune and Nova are doing?"
"Oh my gosh!" said Willow, ecstatic and screaming happily. "I can't believe that actually worked!"
"Well you really beamed us up, eh, O'Bailey?" said Camila, elbowing Hunter.
"Beam us up! Beam us up! Beam us up!" said Gus and Hunter, excitedly chanting.
"Looks like the last leg of our journey," said Danielle, placing a hand on Luz's shoulder.
"Yeah," said Luz, before holding out her palisman for everyone to see. "Guys? Come meet my Palisman!"
"What kind of magical creature will it be?" asked Camila, excited as she stares at the palisman. "A dragon?"
"A bird?" said Hunter, staring at the orb.
"Oh, an otter!" said Amity, excited.
"A spooky bat?" said Willow, staring at the orb.
"A... snake?" said Gus, staring at the orb.
"Pikachu?" said Danielle, staring at Luz, containing a giggle.
"Pfft, no," said Luz, containing her own giggle while smiling. "You are close."
A serpent like creature flies out from the mist and transforms itself into a bat, then a scorpion, then a dragon, before reverting back to its true form: A cat-snake like creature.
"She's a snake shifter!" said Luz, as her palisman nuzzles into her. "Her name is Stringbean, and she's PERFECT!"
"Hooray…" said Danielle, paling a bit before taking a deep breath. "This is Luz's palisman. If I can handle Luz, I can handle… this… hey, Bean… nice Bean."
"What about your palisman?" asked Amity, looking at Danielle.
"Not yet but…" said Danielle, looking at everyone as she lightly touched her fanny pack. "If Stringbean is here, then they're not far behind."
"¡Pero mira que preciosos mis bebés! ¡Ven, ven!" said Camila, bending down and as she holds the palismans close.
"Thanks for what you said back there," said Willow, smiling at Hunter. "You mean a lot to me too."
"Cool. Happy to help," said Hunter, intertwining his pinky finger with Willow's pinky finger.
"Huntlow is a go," thought Danielle, staring at Willow and Hunter with a grin.
"Can't wait to show Eda, King and Aster," said Luz, as Stringbean takes staff form.
"They'll love her," said Amity, holding her girlfriend's hand. "Although Hooty might eat her."
"King might too," said Luz, looking at her girlfriend.
"Eda might three," said Amity, before chucklingly alongside her girlfriend.
All of a sudden, the ground shakes. Everyone is wondering what is going on. Staring up, Danielle sees Nova, not knowing he is possessed by Philip already. Reddish orange strings grab everyone, pulling them up and separating them. Putting Danielle and Luz to sleep, Nova-Philip turns the others to puppets as he sends them into the Archive House and the place where Aster, Eda and King were.
"Now then…" said Nova-Philip, an eerie smile on their face, chuckling. "Let's finish this game."

"Okay, let's see here," sad Rune, reading within the Forbidden Stacks within Bonesborough Library. "How to deal with a psychopathic madman."
"Belos is back, isn't he?" asked Malphas, eyeing Rune. "Shouldn't you be with Nova to help?"
"Nova… ask for help," said Rune, looking at Malphas. "That will be the day."
"Strength is greater in numbers," said Malphas, looking at Rune.
"I know that but until Belos shows himself, I really can't do anything," said Rune, placing the book down. "I've never been much of a fighter."
"Still…" said Malphas, only to see Rune rush out of the Forbidden Stacks and look outside.
"No way… why would Nova…" said Rune, before gasping. "He didn't… Belos possessed… … …Nova!"
Flying out of the Bonesborough Library, Rune flies towards the Archive House as fast as he could. Flying straight in and towards Nova's room, Rune sees Raine in the distance before flying over.
"What happened?" asked Rune, staring at Raine.
"Belos…" replied Raine, looking at Rune. "He possessed Nova."
"Not for long he won't," said Rune, clutching his hands into fists.
"And I have a plan," said Raine, looking at Rune. "It's time for Belos's last symphony."
