Turning back to her phone, she unpaused her music, but she found that she couldn't stop thinking about Mr. Nosy. Why did he look at her like that? And why didn't he take her phone away? She was very confused.

She wished she could text her best friend. She really needed to be rescued, but for some reason, she really wanted to discuss the strangeness that just happened between her and Mr. Nosy.

Her stomach growled, and she found her eyes wandering to the sandwich in front of her. Should I try it? As if in response to her silent question, her stomach made another loud rumbling noise.

Sighing to herself, she reached over and picked up the plate. For a long time, she stared down at the sandwich. She finally decided to take a bite, but when she tried to swallow it, her whole body seemed to reject it as she felt like she was about to throw it back up.

Despite this, she still forced herself to keep eating until she couldn't anymore.

"I don't understand how people can eat this," she muttered to herself, pushing the plate away and reaching for her phone. The song that was playing was very depressing. She needed to find a more upbeat song.

She heard the door opening again and quickly, she paused the song, but this time she hid it under the pillow that was in the cage with her, face down so it didn't press random buttons again. She was afraid it would be her ex-boyfriend, but relief crashed over her when she saw the light green Mr. Man stopping in front of her cage. She never thought she'd be so happy to see the nosy man.

He had a friendly smile on his face as he opened the door to her cage and sat down just outside of her prison. "Hey." He greeted her like she wasn't locked up in their basement for their own sick pleasure. His voice sounded almost kind and there was a sparkle in his eyes that assured her that he wouldn't hurt her.

But this only confused the girl, especially since it wasn't all that long ago that he was pushing her around and was following his small friend's orders. Now he was acting like the kind, curious Mr. Nosy she used to watch on the show, the one she remembered meeting for the first time all those years ago.

Why was he suddenly acting totally different from before?

Elizabeth wanted to trust him, but she just wasn't sure after everything he's done to help his friend hurt her. Until she knew for sure, she wasn't gonna let her guard down. "Hello," she said warily.

"What other music do you listen to?" he asked. "I remember you liked Three Days Grace, right?"

She eyed him. Then she nodded. "Them, and Hedley." She didn't want to say much.

"I think I remember Hedley. They sing Bones Shattered, right?"

Elizabeth nodded again, but didn't speak.

He sighed. "I'm sorry," he said, lowering his gaze. "I honestly never meant for it to go this far. Whenever he gives me an order, I think back to when you and him were dating and how you were always so mean to me. It helps me to do what he says…" His voice trailed off and he looked up at her, confused. "Why were you so mean to me?" he asked.

That question took her by surprise, and she wasn't sure what to say. "I… um…" She scratched the back of her head, trying to find the right words that would explain her feelings. When she first met them, she had decided to put up with him because she felt a real connection with his best friend, something she's never experienced before. But she hated nosy people and overtime she got tired of him snooping in her business, so after a while she didn't even try to hide her dislike of him. She opened her mouth to explain all this, but she kept getting tongue tied. She didn't want to say the wrong thing in fear of him getting upset with her, aware that he was still much stronger than her and still had the gun somewhere in this house.

Suddenly he lifted his hand in a gesture for her to stop talking. "It's okay," he said. "I think I understand. You don't like people going through your stuff, and that was exactly what I did. You like your privacy, and I now realize that it was my fault that we didn't get along, not yours." He lowered his gaze to the floor.

Sympathy washed over her. For the first time ever, she was seeing him as he was: a kind-hearted Mr. Man who was just curious about everything. His nosiness was a flaw; everyone had something wrong with them. Elizabeth had no right to judge anyone because she could be on the front page of Imperfect Magazine. Instead of really getting to know him for who he was, she had decided she hated him because he was kinda annoying.

"I just wish Mr. Small didn't have a grudge against you."

She looked at him; a thought suddenly crossed her mind. "Why do you even listen to him?" she asked, genuinely confused. "I mean, I know he's your best friend, but I stop listening to Roxanne after a point. You'd be able to overpower him anyways, don't you think?"

Mr. Nosy frowned. "The old Mr. Small was my best friend," he murmured, his eyes watering, and Elizabeth wished she hadn't said anything. "I hate the person he has become," the light green Mr. Man went on sadly. "I thought it would be a one time thing, what we did to you, and then we could go on living like we used to. But after we did… what we did, I realized that we both began to change, and we haven't been the same since. Then…" He suddenly stopped talking and closed his eyes, tears rolling down his face as he turned away from the human.

She reached out her hand, placing it on his leg for a moment, but when he turned to her, eyes still watering, she quickly withdrew and cleared her throat awkwardly. "Then… what?" she asked gently, shifting to a different position. She wanted to comfort him, but didn't know how. And wasn't sure why either, especially after everything the cartoons have done to her. Why should she care if he was upset? But she knew she didn't like seeing him like this, no matter what he's done to her…

There was a very long pause. He wiped away his tears and attempted to calm himself but his voice shook as he said," T-Then we went t-to far."

"What happened?" she pressed, resting her hand on his shoulder. Despite herself, she was curious, but she didn't want to nag him into telling her. "Maybe you'll feel better if you got it off your chest?" she suggested softly.

He stared at her for a moment; then he shook his head. "I-I can't." He stumbled to his feet and quickly added," I better get back upstairs before Mr. Small gets home." He reached for the door of her cage, stared at her for a moment, and then retreated to the stairs after locking her up again.

She found herself alone in the basement, mind whirling with questions as she felt her heart break for Mr. Nosy, not realizing before that he didn't even want to listen to his friend.

A buzzing sound broke into Elizabeth's sleep, the nightmare she had been having suddenly vanishing as she saw nothing but darkness. She felt relieved when the picture of her curled up in a cage, hidden in the cartoon's basement with lots of toys around her, disappeared behind her eyelids.

She began to stir, stretching as she was thankful that it had only been a dream. But her hands hit something hard and metal, and she blinked open her eyes, gasping when she saw the bars all around her and the room that had shadows in the corners while a bright light above lit the middle of it. Her gaze scanned over all the toys, and she instantly remembered everything that happened yesterday, reminding her that it wasn't a dream at all. Her life has become a living nightmare thanks to her ex-boyfriend.

The buzzing continued. Turning her head, she jumped in surprise when she saw the orange cartoon standing on the outside of the cage with a vibrator in his tiny hands.

When he noticed that she was up, he turned the button on it that quieted the device as a smile formed on his face. "Ah!" he exclaimed. "You're finally awake! I was beginning to think you passed away in your sleep," he admitted in a calm voice that suggested if she had died in this cage, he wouldn't mourn over her. The small man waved the vibrator around in the air, and she stared at it in disgust, afraid to know what he planned to do with it.

She found herself glancing around, noticing for the first time that his best friend wasn't with him, and she wondered where he could be, but when Mr. Small started talking again, she turned her attention back on him.

"I wanted to have some fun with you by myself," he explained as if he could read her thoughts, reaching over to open the cage and then gesturing for her to crawl out. But she didn't move, only glared at him which made him sigh. "Don't make this any more difficult than it needs to be, Elizabeth."

After another moment she finally left the cage but kept her distance from him. He had an annoyed look on his face as he walked across the room, ordering, "Follow me."

Reluctantly she did as he said, suddenly noticing that he was heading to the machine with the dildo at the end of it which made her freeze. "Please," she begged, moving away from the machine and her ex-boyfriend. "D-Dont make me do this."

But he ignored her pleas as he stormed back to her and jumped up to grab her hand, jerking her lower when he landed back on his feet. Then he started to pull her toward the machine, finally letting go of her and pushing her even closer to it.

She gasped in surprise when the dildo touched her leg.

"Get undressed," he ordered, glaring at the human.

Shakily, she started to take off her tank top, feeling the tears rolling down her face as she realized nothing could save her now. All of the sudden the door to the basement flung open, and Mr. Nosy came running down the stairs, almost tripping a few times. As Mr. Small turned in surprise, the girl put down her shirt again.

The light green Mr. Man came to a halt in front of his friend, clearly out of breath as his eyes sparked with fear.

"What is the matter with you?" demanded Mr. Small, no sign of sympathy toward his oldest friend.

For a few heartbeats, Mr. Nosy didn't reply, only tried to catch his breath while he kept looking from side to side. But when he finally calmed down, he explained, "We have company."

At first it appeared like Mr. Small wasn't going to believe him. After a long moment of staring up at his best friend, he finally stormed past Mr. Nosy, mumbling curse words as he went.

Elizabeth stared after him, wondering who was here, but she was distracted from her ex-boyfriend when Mr. Nosy walked over to the other side of the room. "Quick!" he called softly to her as he pushed aside a large piece of wood. A window was hidden behind it, and the girl caught a glimpse of bright green grass.
