People are not born equal. This is something a young boy learned, right at the age of eighteen. A young boy named Dokja Kim. In this world, popularity controlled all. And Dokja was… not popular. He often spent his days reading or occupying himself with anything away from people.
But, as with all things, there are rules. Dokja would rise through the ranks of a ruined world. But, that is a different story.
This story starts on a dreary day, our view centered on a ruined city… with a man, his body almost shattered, sitting on some rubble. He is wearing a black suit with a white coat on top, his face is rather angular, his hair a short jet black… and he's rather lanky, definitely deserving of his title as Ugly King.
"Hey," Dokja pipes up, "What's got you doing an introduction again?" He glances up, looking at the air, as if it held the secrets of the universe. Stupid Dokja, "...Mean." Dokja, in all of his wisdom, is just talking to the air. "We both know who I'm talking to, asshole. Eh, whatever, I still just need to wait… for a while still, I'd guess."
Dokja Kim looks out to the horizon, wondering how his friends are doing out there… "Eh, they're probably fine," he thinks, "they have Joonghyuk, they'll be fine… probably." He thinks back, recounting everything that led up to now… the train, where the story started, meeting Joonghyuk, and subsequently being thrown off a bridge… dying no less than four separate times, great times. "Well, that's just… fair."
…As he's thinking, losing himself in memory lane, he doesn't notice a pop up… pop up just outside of his vision… as he feels himself shatter.
People are not born equal. This is something a young boy learned, right at the age of four. In this world, twenty percent of people are seen as useless. The rest are born with powers, called Quirks, that might set you up for life. If you are born as part of that twenty percent… well, most don't make it out of their teen years.
Izuku Midoriya is part of that twenty percent, being born Quirkless.
Despite this, he still aspires to be a hero… regardless of the hate obvious towards him and "his kind". He still wants to help people with a smile, like the number one hero in Japan, All Might.
He would, some day, take the mantle of the Symbol of Peace… but, that is yet another story.
Our story starts as Izuku Midoriya finishes his last class of the day. He's writing down notes from a recent hero fight he saw, rambling to himself about how their Quirks might work, how they could be used better, and how to cover their weaknesses.
A blond haired kid hears his rambling, and grabs the notebook right from his hands. "Oi, Deku, you still think you can be a hero? If you wanna be a hero so badly…" Explosions come from his hands, burning the notebook, which he chucks out the open window, "just pray that you'll be born with a Quirk in your next life, and take a swan dive off the roof of the building!"
He and his lackeys walk off, leaving Midoriya alone. Disheartened, but used to it at this point, the green haired kid gets up from his desk and walks out of the building, heading to where his book should have landed… the fountain. His book is ruined, but he still fishes it out, putting it in his backpack as he finally leaves the school.
On his way home, he decides to walk under an overpass, a shortcut. As he thinks back on today's events, a manhole cover bursts open! A strange, slimy creature grabs hold of him, saying, "Oh, a nice medium sized invisibility skin suit! You'll do well to hide from the brute…"
Immediately, Izuku can tell that the villain is trying to force its way into his lungs, trying to suffocate him. He… he was going to die. His vision was blackening… but he could still see one last thing… a blue, transparent, text box…? 'The Last Constellation Looks At Incarnation Midoriya Izuku, and frowns', it reads.
