In the end, when everything was said and done, she was able to help with evading the prophecy so that she wouldn't have to lose any Originals. Despite the past, she wouldn't want them wiped out. She'd always felt sorry for what Rebekah had to go through with Klaus. She'd also forgiven Klaus, and had set aside her vengeance and anger for him. Kol she'd liked, and she saw Freya as an old friend. And Elijah she couldn't bare to lose. Although the prophecy had been stopped, she'd stayed in New Orleans with them, helping with semi-peace, as well as helping with anything else they needed. She'd known she'd be a pretty good asset, since she'd been allies and friends with the wolves last time she'd been in the city. She and Davina also knew each other. The difference though, had been that Katherine wasn't overprotective, and allowed her to live her life the way she wanted to. That was the difference between her and Marcel. Davina could be like a daughter to her, and Katherine would still stay out of her life unless she needed help. And in between all the prophecy stuff, she'd been able to sever ties with what the ancestors had done to him when he'd been resurrected by Davina, saving Davina. And Klaus had eventually even forgiven Katerina for the past, and also had set aside his hatred for her. They even became almost friends. And overtime, he trusted her with Hope when it had been needed to do so. Kat never forgot her love for Angel, but with him not wanting to leave LA, she'd rekindled her relationship with Elijah. And so, she was happy. This time, without any problems with Klaus. And Kat had been right. Damon being a vampire and all, the visions hadn't been bad, considering the vampire healing. And he'd done what he'd been asked. He'd stayed in LA to help Angel and Cordy. And so, everyone got their happiness.
