Ophelia Potter Black couldn't take the wizarding world any longer. The people were so fickle and judgmental, constantly flipping their views on if she was the next dark lady or their savior. It had been two years since the war had ended and she was done. Ophelia had used her time to train as a healer, upsetting everyone who thought she should work for the Ministry. She had also become the sole guardian for her godson, Teddy.

Teddy had previously lived with Andromeda after his parents had died in the Battle of Hogwarts. Ophelia made sure to be there for him every chance she had. She had been watching him that horrible day, Andromeda had dropped him off so she could do some shopping. The Death Eaters who had been released due to their vault size, led an attack on Diagon Alley. Shoppers had been caught so unaware, they didn't have a chance to protect themselves. The stores had been blown up while those walking in the open were slaughtered. The innocents were always the first to be attacked.

When the aurors had knocked on Ophelia's door with the news, she held herself together. She asked what they were doing to find those responsible but was told they had no suspects. Ophelia slammed the door in their faces before cuddling Teddy. It was just them now and he was her number one priority. That was the day she began to plan.

Ophelia wanted to get them both out of Britain, the population that held the control were still prejudice dicks. Everyone had hoped that real change would come after the war, they were sorely disappointed. Those who could, bought their way out of Azkaban and the Ministry was still corrupt. Kingsley had tried to make changes as Minister, but the pureblood bigots stopped him from succeeding.

That was one of the many reasons Ophelia was taking her godson and leaving. She wasn't hanging around for the next dark prick to pop up. She was done fighting for people who wouldn't fight for themselves and their freedom.

Ophelia had a good rapport with the goblins. When they had realized a horcrux was in Bellatrix vault, she had met with the head goblin to explain the situation. He had been upset that something like that was in his bank and thanked her for letting him know. They destroyed the horcrux as thanks. When she asked if they could do the same to others, she received a nod and a lecture on why they should have been brought in sooner. She ended up retrieving the diadem and handed it over to the goblins.

Following a hunch she had, Ophelia asked if they could remove one from a living being. When she had been freed of that piece, her hatred on Dumbledore began to grow. He had planned for her to die, she knew that was his end goal of this and every year he had tested her.

Once Ophelia had killed Voldemort and Neville the snake, the goblins asked her to come in for a meeting. She was surprised when they told her to take an inheritance test. The goblins wanted to help her gain power to make the changes their world needed. They also read her parents and Sirius' wills, they could tell something changed in her during that meeting.

Being found as the Lady to six families was a huge surprise to Ophelia and the goblins. She now outranked every pureblood in the British Wizarding World. Somehow the information was leaked to the public, the goblins apologized by executing the traitor in apology.

Taking the only steps she could think of to protect herself and Teddy, Ophelia locked down her home to where not even an owl could get through. She felt like she was being hunted again, only this time it wasn't by a madman out to kill her. Every single wizard and even some witches wanted to get their hands on her vaults and titles.

The plans she had started when Andromeda died had just been pushed forward. She was done. She never wanted to have to live like this again or deal with these people ever again. She would make sure Teddy was safe from the prejudice his father had to deal with and the horrors she had to go through.

Making her plans, she knew there were steps she would have to take. Once Teddy had went to bed that night, Ophelia began to write out everything she would need to do.

Arriving to the alley entrance, Ophelia made sure her hood and Teddys were up. They needed to make it to Gringotts unseen. She had thought over all of her options and found a solution in one of her vaults. She knew it would be an extreme option but she couldn't find it in herself to care any longer.

Entering Gringotts, she quickly asked for a private meeting room. The goblins were worried by her request but knew the witch wanted to remain unseen. The lead goblin made sure every other goblin knew to keep her presence quiet or lose their heads. When she gave her request, he knew they would never see her again when she walked out those doors today. He wasn't sure if they deserved her to stay, she only wanted to live her life, and it couldn't happen here.

As he watched Lady Potter Blacks request being done, he could only shake his head at the sad day. Closing the vaults of Potter, Black, Peverell, Emrys, Gryffindor, and Slytherin, some of their oldest vaults, would leave an enormous impact on those that were left. Their whole world would feel the impact.

Those moronic wizards couldn't change for the better, not even a little. They had just run off the one witch who could have saved them from what was to come. Being goblins, they could just go back underground but the humans would be left to the mercy of the muggles. He knew they would find them soon.

Ophelia had made friends during her time at Hogwarts. Some were fickle and some were more stalwart, but there were two who always stood by her, through everything. Right now, she needed to let those two people know she was taking her godson and leaving.

Walking up to the door of the house she hadn't seen in months, the door opened before she could reach it. Luna Lovegood could always see things others were blind to. Following the girl she thought of as a sister into the house, Ophelia placed Teddy down to play with his toys. Bracing herself, she sat and looked to Luna.

"You're leaving." Luna said solemnly.

Ophelia nodded, "I feel like it's my only option. I'm being hunted for marriage, and I can't do it. Nothing has changed and I won't raise Teddy here, not w these people who have taken everything form us yet still go unpunished."

Luna nods, standing as a knock sounds. Walking to the door, she opens it and Ophelias other best friend walks in.

"Luna, why did" Spotting Ophelia and Teddy, he shakes his head. "No."

Ophelia walks over to him, "Theo. I have to go. I feel like I won't ever be able to find a happy life here. These people only see me as the key to my vaults. I'll never find peace if I stay." She grabs each of her friends' hands.

"I'll go with you." Theo tells her quietly, "I can't stay here, my father wasn't sentenced to Azkaban. I don't want to stay if you go, I know Luna doesn't either."

Luna nods, "You need both of us where you're going. You and Teddy don't need to do it alone." She had lost her father and knew Theo's home life was shit. Thaddeus Nott was a mean bastard.

Ophelia looked between her friends, her family, glancing to Teddy. "Where I plan to go, we will never be able to come back here. Ever. I can't control where it sends us. The device and runes will guide us." Her friends just stare at her, "You could hate where we end up."

Theo and Luna remain silent during her rant. Luna finally stops her, "I would rather be with you in an unknown world than be left in a world without you." She pulled Ophelia into a hug with herself and Theo. "You and Theo are the only people I have and refuse to lose either of you." Tears fall between them.

Theo clears his throat, "I refuse to let you both run off without me. Teddy will need some male influence. Poor kid can't be stuck with just you two forever." The girls laugh at him, causing Teddy to laugh.

"Okay. If you're going with me, we need to make some more plans." Ophelia tells them. They spend the rest of the night making sure they had all of their bases covered, only stopping when Teddy began to fuss. They decided to regroup in two days, giving everyone time to gather what they needed and make any arrangements.

They were leaving tomorrow, today was being spent packing. Ophelia had double checked all of the runes from the Emrys vault and the items they were using from the Peverell vault. She wanted to make sure nothing could go wrong.

Luna and Theo were taking stock of everything they had before packing them into three bags that had undetectable extension charms. They had decided to use trunks to hold the smaller or dangerous items and then place them into the bags. The first bag held all weapons and gold from all of Ophelia's vaults. Luna had also bought library trunks, they now held every book in the Black library, any from the vaults, and all they would need to teach Teddy magic.

The second bag had more personal items and tents. Ophelia hadn't wanted to chance running out of soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste or anything like that. She also made sure all of their clothing and bed items were in it. Food was stocked and charmed so it wouldn't spoil, same all seeds she had bought, both food and potions. She refused to be without like she had been when on the run.

The last bag held any potion made, multiple vials of it, cauldrons, and potions ingredients. Theo had picked up enough magical vaccinations to give to thirty kids. They knew Teddy would need some but were hoping they could remake them. Being unsure of where they were going, they were chancing nothing.

Since they weren't sure where they were going to land, unsure if magic would be there, each made sure to have a sword on their hip. Ophelia had the sword of Godric Gryffindor and a blade from the Potter vault. She had been surprised to find it in her items, she knew it had been placed back in the headmaster's office after the battle. Theo and Luna had each found swords and blades as well.

Entering the ritual room, Ophelia held Teddy on her hip, making sure he was secured to her tightly. Theo and Luna connected their arms with hers. Activating the runes, each placed a foot on the item in the center and began to chant. Their arms tightened when the flames from the candles shot into the air. Wind began to circle them, not extinguishing the candles, their hair was lifting in the wind. Teddy's whimper made her want to comfort him, but she knew she couldn't just yet.

They kept chanting, not breaking for fear of messing something up. Ophelia felt as the ground fell out from beneath their feet. Darkness engulfed them and silence surrounded them. It felt like forever and no time at all when the room began to lighten.

Ophelia had to squint against the brightness that surrounded them. Teddy had his head buried in her neck. Theo and Luna still had their arms connected with hers. Looking around, she couldn't recognize the area they had arrived at. She could tell the other two couldn't either.

"Where have we landed?" Theo was the first to speak.

"I'm not sure but it's quiet. We must not be near a city." Luna says quietly.

Ophelia checked Teddy over, making sure he had arrived in one piece. "We need to find a road or water. Roads lead to people and water is just a safe place to set up camp near." She tells them.

With that, they began to walk.

I do not own HP or HOTD. All characters belong to their authors. All mistakes are my own. No, I won't follow the HOTD storyline exactly, I plan to mess things up for a certain Hand and others. Please continue to read, comment, and vote! I love all the love you've shown my stories and hope this one is good. I don't know this story line as well as HP or TVD, I just want to write for fun. Thank you all!
