It has been fifty-seven years since the execution of the Second Pirate King, Monkey D. Luffy, and he has left a legacy in his wake so great that some say he was more legendary than the First King, Gol D. Rogers. But like the last Pirate King, at his execution, he told the world that he had again hidden the One Piece for the world to find. Many saying it was the start of the next Age of Piracy, but then, war broke out among two families: The Monkey family and the Cobra family. After four decades of bloodshed, the war finally subsided. And nineteen years later, a member of the Cobra family set out on a quest to obtain the One Piece, his name is Cobra D. Red. P.S. I wonder how many people actually read this paragraph every time.

Caught Red-Handed! The Mystery Girl's Identity!

As the night slowly became day, the waves lapped against the shore, rocking the boats that were docked against the pier. One ship was among them, rocking with the other boats, but it was a whole lot noisier than the other ones.

"Ow damn it!" shouted Red, clutching his forehead. It had been a while since he could sleep normally, and he was unused to the feeling of waking up in a bunk, much less the top bunk. He had always heard that the top bunk was the best bunk, but he sure didn't feel like it now. He had slammed his head into the ceiling as he tried to rise from sleep, and now he had a pang in his forehead because of it. Looking up groggily from the couch they had found on the ship, Henry had an angry, sleepy look on his face, as if Red had just woken him up. Rising to his feet, Miles stretched his arms and yawned. Then he turned to look at Red, and after giving him a small glance, he smacked him in the face, saying, "Thanks for waking me up, Red, now I won't be able to go back to sleep."

Rubbing the place where Miles had smacked him, Red replied, "Well I didn't ask to get an early headache this morning." Sliding to the floor, he stood next to Miles, giving him a quizzical look. He hadn't noticed it until this point, but Miles was a few inches taller than him, and that slightly annoyed him, but he was still fine with it. As he began to notice more things, he caught the feint whiff of cooking meat, and his mouth began to water – until he realized who was probably cooking it, and as if on a switch, the saliva quickly dried up. Groaning, he climbed the stairs, followed closely behind by Miles, as they made their way to the dining room, where they hoped Bede had prepared an edible meal. As they entered the room, they noticed that instead of there being pots and pans out, there were just a few boxes, each with steam rising from them. Confused they looked up and saw Bede getting utensils, and he smiled when he saw their faces, and explained, saying, "I decided to not try and give our captain food poisoning again and instead went and got us something to eat." Giving a sigh of relief, the crew tucked into the food, appreciating Bede's empathy for them.

As they were halfway through their breakfast, Bede relayed some important information to them, saying that apparently, there was a cooking school in the fancy part of town, which had been nicknamed the Silver District and the poor part of town the Rust District. He had been told they might be willing to find a person willing to sign on as their ship's cook, and while they were there, they could also find a shop to find ship supplies, which they needed to repair parts of their ship that had been damaged in the storms. As they heard this, Red smiled, saying, "Good! Now we won't have to do this every time we want food," pointing at the food. Shrugging, Bede smiled, glad that he wouldn't be responsible for cooking anymore.

As they finished, the crew gathered their supplies and money so they could get what they need, and hopefully find a cook, but before they went, Bede pulled Red aside and took something out of his pocket and handed it to Red. It was a fake brown moustache. Confused Red asked what it was for, and Bede replied, "Well we already know they have your wanted poster, so it might be good for you to go undercover for now." Sighing, Red fitted the moustache to his face, nearly sneezing as he did, but a quick grip from Bede kept the air from escaping. As they left the ship, Red got many strange looks from passerby's, probably because the moustache was a little on the more comic side. Thankfully, as they entered the Silver District, large moustaches were common, and Red, Bede, and Miles were dressed well enough to pass off for residents. The same couldn't be said for Henry though, as people stared as his drabs, but he gave back an equal amount of staring, or possibly even more as they passed by women, big hearts popping up in his eyes as the more bustier ones passed.

Finally reaching the cooking school, the group looked up at it. It was two stories tall, with almost twenty chimneys, all with good smelling smoke billowing out of them. As they walked up to the double doors, Red stepped forward and knocked. Opening the doors, a burly cook stepped forward, and looked them up and down. Stepping forward, Bede spoke to the cook, telling them that they were looking for someone to be their ship cook. Nodding, the cook brought them inside, and after a quick shout, brought three young men over to them. After talking to each of them, Red wasn't feeling well about any of them. The first one although had fine marks was clumsy and the second one apparently couldn't even cook an egg. But as they were talking to the third one, the unimaginable happened – Red sneezed. Flying off his face, it smacked the student in the head. After reeling back a bit, the student looked at Red, and came to the same realization the other three cooks did.

"Get those pirates!" shouted the head chef. Running at them, the three students tried to grab them, but they easily dodged to the side. Turning to see who was about to attack next, Red ducked, wide-eyed, as a pan went soaring over his head and smashed through a window. As he looked up again, he saw the chef preparing more things to throw, including a collection of knives. Shouting at the other three, Red said, "Guys split up! We'll meet up later!" and with that, Red leaped out of the smashed window.

Not looking back, Red glanced around looking for an escape route, and noticed a group of Marine soldiers running towards him. Guessing that it wasn't because of his amazing looks, he decided the best course of action would be to run away. Dashing down an alley, Red heard footsteps behind him and continued further in, until he turned a corner and found himself at a dead end. Looking around, Red tried to find a way out of the alley, as the footsteps got closer. He looked in every nook and cranny and tried a few doors, too, but none of them proved the exit he needed. As Red began to prepare to fight his way out, a thought dawned on him, and he face palmed, muttering, "Red, how could you forget something like that." And just as the Marines were about to turn the corner, Red shouted, "Jet" and was soon rocketing into the sky, leaving the Marines an empty alley.

As Red soared over the buildings, the wind managed to take him off course and he soon began shifting direction. Trying to see where he would land, he twisted around in the air and was shocked to see himself plummeting towards a large mansion three stories high, one of the biggest buildings in town. Flapping his arms like a chicken, he tried to slow his descent, but it was all for nothing as he went crashing through a window on the second floor.

Dazed, Red stood shaking his head, trying to stop the world from spinning, when from upstairs he heard someone shout, "Something happened downstairs! Go check it out!" Knowing that he only had a few seconds, Red dashed down another set of stairs, only to here another group of people coming from a corridor over. Panicking, he dashed into a dining room where people had recently eaten. And although he didn't want to be found, he plucked an apple from one of the dishes. Munching into it, he dashed into a side room which he could only assume was the kitchen.

As he made his way through the room, looking for an exit, he heard a creak from another door somewhere on the opposite side of the room. Hearing this, he quickly ran for cover behind a couple of barrels, which one was full of apples from which he took another. As he peered out into the room, waiting for whoever it was that was coming, he was surprised to note that it was only one set of footsteps coming, and whoever they were, they were lighter than an average man.

As he watched, he had to grip his mouth to utter a gasp of shock, only letting his eyebrows raise instead. A serving maid had walked out from behind the corner, carrying a tray of cups for tea and crumpets. But the thing that shocked Red the most about this girl was who it was: it was the girl who tried to rob him last night. As the girl busied herself getting the tray in proper order, Red, on impulse came from out behind the barrels, and said, "Hey, we've met before." As she heard this, the girl almost dropped everything, but managed to catch the dishes. Spinning around in shock, she didn't know who she expected to see behind her, but she certainly didn't expect the guy who chased last night. Eyes wide in shock she began to edge away from him, but then she put a scornful look on.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Red, raising an eyebrow said, "Well, would you believe me if I said I flew into your second story window and made my way down here?" Slitting her eyes condescendingly, she shook her head, "Absolutely not." Shrugging his shoulders, Red replied, saying, "Whatever. But can you tell me why you're a maid by day and a thief by night?" This time, anger flared up in her eyes, as she grabbed the front of his shirt, nearly shouting, "No! I am not telling you that!" then grabbing a knife, she waved it in his face, saying, "And if you don't leave, then I'll gut you like a fish being prepared for salting and grilling."

Tilting his head, Red, ignoring the knife, said, "Okay, first off, what? Second off, I hope you still remember our fight, because you didn't do so hot." Throwing the knife to the ground, the girl, with her brows furrowed, said, "Well alright then! If you don't leave, then I'll scream!" Raising his hands to try and placate the girl, Red tried to calm her down, but soon she was screaming and he was forced to jump out of an open window. As she stopped screaming and smirked, but she heard a door from behind her slam open and quickly composed her face. Turning around, she was face to face with the head of the household and the head of his men. He had a mane of dirty blond hair and a scraggy beard that failed to conceal a scar on his cheek. The head of the men had a dark buzz cut, a clean-shaven face and big bushy eyebrows. As they walked up to her, the head of the household, obviously a noble, had a scornful look on his face as he asked her why she had screamed. When all she had to say was that she nearly dropped a platter. Giving her a smack to the head, he scorned her, saying to be more careful. And all of this was seen by Red, who was still at the window, watching it all unfold as he thought.
