A/N- Here's Chapter 9! I have a serious question for you guys. I don't know if I should write our sex scenes or just hint at them. I really don't know so I'm asking you guys. Why? Because I write for you guys! Though honestly… I don't know how I'd do with them… e.e!

I mean… to be honest I re-wrote this chapter. It originally had a sex scene—I mean I literally wrote one. It was for the one year anniversary and I was content with it, posted it to FanFiction and the next day I took it off because I just felt like no one would like it and my story would be flamed down to hell. And I don't want that.

I think in the end I'll just hint at them. I really don't know. So please, give me your opinion and tell me. I won't mind posting the sex scene as long as it is what you guys want!

Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read that and seriously tell me what you think! I'll love ya forever! Also I want to say I update infrequently so don't be shy and add this to your favies or just follow it!

Also, I want to thank my 38 followers for their continued support and of course all the people who have viewed my story! Love ya all ! I hope you enjoy chapter 9 and the reason it's so far off the original anniversary day is because of me re-writing it!

Hope you have a lovely day!

Oh and I'll quickly add this in: MaliciousScampers is writing a yaoi with Red/Green so if you like that couple, go check his story "Birthday" out. It's pretty good so far! :)

Chapter 9 –Night Time Fun

Green was lying in bed staring at the ceiling. He had a lot on his mind – mostly dealing with certain, raven-haired, red-eyed cherry loving man. Green wasn't too sure what to call their relationship between them. He didn't see Red as his lover or boyfriend but friends don't just kiss randomly and have intense make-out sessions. Green sighed and laid his one arm over his eyes, focusing on his breathing.

He wasn't gay. He wasn't a homosexual and he wasn't bisexual either – so why was he hung up on Red? Green groaned and removed his arm from his face and stared intently at the ceiling once more. This was confusing. Were they friends with benefits and nothing more than that? But they hadn't had sex so maybe just kissing buddies?

Green laughed pathetically at his own term 'kissing buddies'. They only ever kissed and made out a little so it wasn't anything serious. Green clicked his tongue of the roof of his mouth and sighed loudly, turning to his side and staring out the window. Outside there was a tall oak tree looming over his window, casting a huge shadow in his room. The leaves fluttered gently against the window as a cool breeze floated through the crisp night air.

Green huffed and started thinking about Red again. Green's eyes went wide and he sat up at his one thought in total shock. Maybe Red had pent up sexual anguish from being too busy with work and knew Green hadn't had any fun time with any ladies and was taking this opportunity to 'opt' into Green's pants. Green panicked for a second until he realized a few things.

One, he was much beefier than Red and stronger. He was at least a few inches taller than Red and because he was in jail for five years he didn't have much to do other than work out.

Second, Red wasn't that smart; there was no way Red was thinking and planning something that sneaky for a five whole years. The freaking moron couldn't even figure out how to plan a proper diet. Green sighed in relief. Thinking about Red always made him nervous, anxious and on edge – but on the other hand, it made him feel warm, happy and blessed.

Red was someone who was very special to Green – and Green couldn't deny that. Green was released from prison a few months ago – and no one else but Red was truly there for him. Green knew he loved Red but it was more in a friend way – or at least he thought so. Green sighed once more and pulled the covers off of himself.

Why was it super-hot in here all of a sudden? Green pulled off his night shirt and pants, leaving himself in nothing but his boxers. He stood up from the bed and shuffled over to the window and opened it.

Or at least attempted too.

The window was jammed. Green huffed and puffed, trying his best to pry the damn window open. After a few attempts Green sighed loudly and was half tempted to punch the window. Green shuffled back to his bed and sat down, cupping his face into his hands. He was having trouble sleeping and now it was too hot in here. Great.

Green removed his hands from his face and frowned. He never use to have a problem falling asleep – hell, it's how he spent a lot of his time in Jail. Again, it was all because of Red. He had come accustomed to using Red as a teddy bear at night and couldn't fall asleep without the thin man. Green grumbled to himself as he stood up and put his sleep pants back on and his shirt.

Maybe if he sat out in the garden for a bit he could cool down. He shuffled out of his room and before making his way down the stairs, peeked into Maria's room. Maria had been living with them for about two weeks now and they had finally finished decorating her room earlier today.

"Red, no that doesn't fu- freaking go there!" Green hollered, startling Red. Red was trying to build a bookcase and was having no such luck. He kept placing parts in wrong or just using the wrong tool to try and install a certain piece. Green groaned as he stood up and rushed over to Red snatching the piece Red was fumbling with.

Red was absolutely hopeless. Green chuckled to himself as he watched Red pout. He was like a little kid himself. It wasn't a bad thing though – he got along easily with Maria and that was enough to make Green view Red's Immaturity as a positive. Green glared down at Red – he still sucked at building simple stuff though.

"I'm sorry, Green! Do I look like an expert craftsman?" Red retorted slightly agitated at Green. Green shot him a sarcastic smile while he was correctly installing the piece Red had failed to do. Red smiled back a toothy grin – and Green's heart leapt a bit.

Red looked loving and charming with a smile. Green felt himself blush a bit and abruptly turned around and focused back on painting the ceiling white. Maria was placing stuff toys she had recently received from Red and Green on her bed, naming them and giving them back stories.

"A-are you even using the instructions, Red?! The manual is right there and I can tell you haven't even glanced at it once!" Green hollered at Red. Red flinched and laughed meekly, trying his best to hide his ignorance.

"W-well, you see…" Red started out only to be interrupted by Maria.

"Mr. Green! Do you have a radio we can listen too? I'm tired of hearing you and Mr. Red right about everything!" Maria chimed out sarcastically. Maria actually didn't mind their bickering – it livened up the place and rarely did it ever escalate to something serious.

Green hustled out of the room and shouted he'd be back in a second. Maria glanced over at Red and smiled.

"I thought I'd save you from his ranting, Mr. Red!" Maria chuckled out, causing Red to smile back at her a laugh.

"Thanks, I guess," he said as he picked up the instruction manual and started to read it. Green reappeared in the room holding a small stereo that was covered in dust. He quickly wiped the dust off and blew off any remaining dust out of Maria's bedroom window.

He plugged it in and sat it on one of Maria's new tables. Maria raced over and picked a station. When she was satisfied, she returned back to her bed and started reorganizing her plushies.

Green glanced around the room – it had received a major renovation ever since Maria moved in. The room use to be a spare room where he store anything he didn't need at the moment. The walls were a pale white color and the floor was a dull red color.

Maria's new room was painted a very neutral yellow color and one wall was painted with chalkboard so in case she wanted to draw with chalk on a rainy day, she could do so on her new chalkboard wall. She had light purple curtains with white lacey trim on the ends. They had redone her carpet changing it from a dull red to a vibrant pastel blue color.

Green grimaced as he recalled redoing her carpet – Red kept measuring the length of the floor wrong, causing Green to cut the wrong amount of carpet and then caused Green to yell at him. Red sure did make things more difficult – but he also made them memorabled and fun. Green smiled fondly at Red as he was concentrating on reading the manual and installing a shelf incorrectly.

Green marched over and gently grasped Red's hand that was holding the shelf. Green noticed Red's face get red a bit and Green couldn't help but laugh to himself.

"You're installing that piece wrong. It's supposd to go like this," Green whispered into Red's ear as he readjusted the piece. Red's face shined brightly and he sent Green off, telling him to work some more on ceiling. Green chuckled as he started working again.

Maria turned around and her eyes sparkled with happiness.

"Mr. Green and Mr. Red! I love my new room! Thank you both so much!" Maria chimed out, hugging Green, almost knocking him down off his tiny step stool. She then raced over to Red and tackle hugged him. Green smiled brightly as Red held his head and smiled at Maria.

"It's no problem, Maria. You live here now and we want you to have the best time ever," Red said, gently placing Maria next to him. Maria smiled and hugged Red again.

"I'm happy you and Mr. Green are my daddies!" Maria chimed out. Red and Green froze and locked eyes. Green looked away first as Red laughed and hugged Maria.

"Yup! And Green is Mommy because he doesn't have a job and cleans the house all day!" Red chimed out, playfully taunting Green. Green's eye twitched with rage. Green turned to say something but noticed Maria was pouring with excitement and joy. Green grumbled to himself.

He'd get his revenge on Red later.

Green smiled fondly on the memory. It was nice that Red and Maria got along – he was afraid they wouldn't but then again, Red acted like he was Maria's age so Green didn't get why he was so afraid they wouldn't get along. Hell, the two got along easily. Green saw Maria was passed out, holding a Psyduck plushie. Green smiled and snuck in her room, tucking her in and kissing her on the forehead.

"Sleep tight, Maria," Green whispered lovingly. He gently brushed a few stray hairs off her face and snuck back out of her room gently closing the door behind him. He started down the stairs and into the kitchen, exiting the house. Once he was in the garden, he sat down on the nearby bench and took a deep breath, basically bathing in the cool breeze.

He looked up to the night sky and smiled. Despite not having a job like he really wanted too, life right now was awesome. He had his house still, he had Maria and Red. He stopped and sighed, laughing a little when he thought about Red.

Red was just amazing – he couldn't deny it. He could remember when they were teens how futile Green was in trying to stop Red from letting Red have the spot light. Green chuckled at his past self.

He was a selfish bastard.

Green inhaled once more and smiled again. He loved his life and knew nothing could change that. He wasn't stuck behind bars and that was a major plus. Green let his thoughts wander and let time slip past him.

"…Green? Is that you?" Whispered someone. Green turned and noticed Red, who was still dressed in a suit, leaning towards Green and narrowing his eyes. Green felt his mouth go dry – Red looked good. He wore a two piece suit that was gray with semi-white stripes going along it. He wore a red formal shirt underneath and a black tie that was undone and hanging loosely on his shoulders.

Red stood up and smiled, waving gently at Green. Green waved back and cleared his throat, trying to fix his dry mouth issue. Red sauntered over to Green and plopped down, sitting right next to Green. Red stretched out his arms and yawned loudly while Green watched Red's every movement. Red turned and smiled again as Green just stared.

"You okay, Green?" Red asked innocently cocking his head to the side a bit. Green shook his head and stared straight up at the sky.

"I'm just a little hot. The window in our room is jammed and I couldn't open it up so I thought I could come out here and cool down for a bit," Green said not looking once at Red. Red raised an eyebrow and sighed.

"I feel like that's not everything. You want to talk about anything?" Red asked patting Green on the back. Green couldn't help but sigh. He wanted to talk about everything that dealt with their relationship – but he didn't know what was stopping him.

"Hey, Green," Red whispered into Green's ear. Green froze and couldn't help but melt a little as Red's warm breath snaked its way down the side of his neck, causing him to feel chills race down his neck and into his spine.

"Y-Yes?" Green asked not fully recovered from Red's whispering. Red smirked.

"What aren't you telling me? I know there's something you're not telling me – and I'm all ears, I promise," Red took a breath and breathed once again on Green's neck, "Don't hold anything back, Green."

Green gulped as Red's breath cascaded down his neck. Green felt chills running all over his body. Green glanced up at Red, locking eyes with him. What was with Red tonight? Why was Red taking such a great interest in him? Green sighed loudly and slouched in the bench, staring off into the night time sky. Red raised an eyebrow.

Green hated the silence they were currently drenched in. Red was staring into the sky too, probably not thinking much about this awkward silence – but Green was confused. He didn't know what to call Red. Boyfriend? Friend with benefits? Green shook his head at all those names. He could just call him Red and not worry about it anymore but that didn't seem logical to him – hell it didn't seem fair to him for some reason. Green sighed.

"What exactly are we, Red?" Green mumbled out, not realizing he spoke a thought. Red shot a glance at Green – his eyes were wide with surprise. Green raised an eyebrow. What with Red all of a sudden?

Red smiled. Green narrowed his eyes. What exactly was Red up to? Red leaned in inches away from Green, luring him with his seductive gaze. Green went to look off to the side but Red grasped Green by the chin, forcing him to look at him. Red's eyes glimmered with lust and love.

"What do you think we are, Green?" Red asked with a seductive tone. Green froze. Red leaned in just a few centimeters away from Green's lips. Green backed up and Red started to pout. Green abruptly stood up and his legs went like jelly because of the slippery ground and he fell on his bottom. Red howled with laughter.

"A-are you okay?!" Red asked between laughs. Green glowered viscously at Red. How could Red be this cruel? Red smiled and stood up, reaching a hand towards Green. Green grasped Red's hand firmly and when Red pulled Green up, Red lost his footing and took Green down with him.

Green opened his eyes and realized he was straddling Red. Red smiled up at Green. Green rolled his eyes and started to get up when Red held onto Green's neck.

"Gah… Let go! I'm trying to get up!" Green shouted as he tried to pry Red's hands off him using one hand to support him and the other to pry at Red's hands. Red cried out saying no multiple times.

"Don't wanna," Red chimed out like a little kid. Green felt his heart beat faster. The way Red was nestling into his neck and the way he said, 'Don't wanna' made Green feel like he was dealing with a little kid – but it was so damn cute.'

Green sighed and glared at Red. He wanted to get up off the ground and it looked like he'd have to follow Red's rules.

"…Put your legs around me so I can at least carry you in," Green grumbled out embarrassed at the whole sentence. Red smiled and complied, hanging off of Green like a Panda. Green huffed in irritation. How the hell was he going to get up now? Green somehow was able to stand on his knees and then placed one hand on the nearby bench and pulled himself up.

Green went to take a step when Red nestled his head into the nape of Green's neck, tickling him a bit. Green almost lost his footing but was able to keep it together. Green silently cursed Red – he was just hanging on him and was putting them both in danger. Green started making his way to the house and while he was walking, he heard Red mumbling to himself.

"…I love you, Green,"

Green froze up, holding tightly onto the doorknob of the screen door. He had heard Red say that a million times but somehow Green couldn't shake it off like he use to do. Green gulped as Red continued to whisper things into his neck. Green abruptly opened the door in a panic, walked in and sat Red on a counter. Green didn't turn on the kitchen light because he wanted Red off of him and knew his way around his own house so he wasn't afraid of accidently running into something.

"Alright, we're inside. Let go," Green spat out, trying to pry Red off. Red sighed and reluctantly let go. Green raised an eyebrow at Red. This sullen look wasn't very fitting of him. Green leaned in, placing his hands on each side of Red. Red looked up and was surprised a bit by how close Green was.

"What's wrong, Red?" Green asked, staring directly at Red. Red sighed and placed his head onto Green's shoulder. Red sighed again and Green gently placed his hands on Red's back, hugging him in a warm loving manner.

"Green, I love you. Do you…. L-love me too?" Red mumbled out. Green heard Red and froze up – did he love Red? Green bit his lip and curled his hands into fists. He wasn't sure himself but he did care deeply for Red – hell, he even made out with Red. Green sighed. Red made his heart pound all the time and brightened his day. When Red wasn't around Green felt rather lonely. He couldn't have a good night rest with Red being beside him to hold and he just didn't like being alone. He needed Red.

Dare he say it – he loved Red. The sudden realization caused Green to go dry at the mouth and his eyes to widen. He didn't just see Red as a kissing buddy or a friend with benefits. He saw Red in a much clearer light.

The way Red smiled and the way he acted always warmed Green's heart and brought a smile onto his face. For the past few months, Red had always been by his side, taking the world with him hand in hand. He would be lost without Red – without Red he'd probably be in this house by himself and wouldn't have met all the wonderful people in the town like Maria and the Baker, Dylan.

Green lightly pushed Red up and grasped his chin. He looked at red in a loving gaze and slowly leaned in. When he was just a few millimeters away, he whispered to Red.

"I love you too, Red," Green whispered out. He leaned in and kissed Red passionately, tilting his head slightly. Red kissed back and slung his arms around Green's broad shoulders. They pulled away for air and Green realized Red was crying.

"Red, why are you crying?" Green asked in a hushed tone. Red smiled and quickly hugged Green. Green patted Red on the back.

"I'm just so happy you love me back, Green," Red whispered into Green's ear. Green smiled slightly and hugged Red tightly. He picked Red up and started to carry him bridal style.

"Yes, yes I love you a lot Red. Without you I wouldn't have accomplished anything, Red. You're very important to me," Green said as he started up the stairs. He placed Red gently on the Bed and kissed him on the forehead. Red looked up and wiped his tears away.

"Now you go to sleep. I'm going to go get a drink of water real quick, okay?"

"Okay, and uh… Green?"

"Yes?"

"I love you…" Red mumbled out as he started to blush slightly. Green smiled and patted Red on the head and kissed him again on his forehead. He looked lovingly into Red's eyes.

"I love you too, Red."
