Chapter 3 Adventure
Bennet's POV
The Next Day
I was at the Adventure's Guild reception desk, when I spotted Fischl.
This is your chance, Benny! Go for it!
"Fischl", I yelled as I waved to her. "Over here!"
With that, Fischl spotted me before walking up to me.
"Well well well", she started. "If it isn't my newly discovered suitor. What is it that you wish to say to me after the feelings you confessed to me yesterday."
"While", I started, as I nervously rubbed the back of my neck. "I was wondering…if you wanted to go on an adventure with me?"
Saying this resulted in Fischl looking at me in shock.
"You want to go on an adventure, with me", she asked.
"Yeah", I replied. "There's this domain I've been meaning to check out. You want to go there together?"
After I said this, Fischl cleared her throat before answering me.
"Very well, suitor", she started. "I shall agree to accompany you in seeking out this domain."
"She means yes", Oz clarified.
"Sweet", I exclaimed. "Then let's go!"
With that, I grabbed onto Fischl's hand before running with her in tow.
…
Fischl and I had arrived at the domain.
"This is the place", I revealed. "You ready, Fischl?"
"I am ready to see the challenges and treasures that this domain holds", Fischl replied.
"She means that she is ready", Oz clarified.
"Then let's get going", I exclaimed.
Then, Fischl and I made our way into the domain.
We walked around for some time…until we reached the chamber at the end of the domain.
When we did…we spotted a treasure chest!
"Jackpot", I exclaimed before I started running up to it.
"Pace yourself", Fischl started.
But it was too late…as I had already accidentally stepped on some kind of plate.
When I did, some doors opened…letting monsters in!
"The enemy is upon us", Fischl said before summoning her bow. "Come! Let us vanish them!"
With that, Fischl and I began fighting the monsters.
"Bennet", she started. "Imprint the centre of the room with your symbol!"
"She means uses your Elemental Burst in the centre of the room", Oz clarified.
"Got it", I exclaimed. "I'm going in!"
With that, I used my Elemental Burst in the centre of the room.
"In the name of the Prinzessin", Fischl said as she took aim.
Then…she fired her bow right in the centre of my burst.
I barely managed to get out of the way before the arrow hit, resulting in an overload that took out all of the enemies.
When they were all gone…I looked at Fischl in awe.
"Wow", I started. "That was amazing Fischl! You came up with such a clever strategy just like that!"
"Thank you, suitor", Fischl said.
Then, she noticed something.
"You're wounded!"
With that I looked at my arm, and saw some blood coming out from it.
"You must've been hit by the reaction", Fischl guessed.
"Don't worry about it", I reassured. "I've gotten way worse injuries than this!"
Before I cloud say anything else, Fischl suddenly untied the bandana I wore around my arm before tying it around my wound.
"Hopefully that will stop the blood from seeping out until you are able to get proper medical attention."
"Thanks Fischl", I said. "Now, let's go get that treasure!"
With that, I ran up to the treasure chest and opened it.
Inside was…a cabbage…and a single Mora.
"Is that all that is contained within", Fischl asked.
"Not again", I groaned. "Sorry Fischl. This is usually the only things you'll find when adverting with me."
After I said this, Fischl smiled before taking the items out of the chest.
"We shouldn't be saddened by this", she stated. "After all, to someone who has nothing, even the little things are a treasure to them."
"Huh", I started. "I never thought of it like that."
With that, Fischl smiled at me again, which made my heart began to beat fast.
"Shall we begin making our way home?"
…
Fischl and I had returned to the city.
"That was a pleasant outing", she stated. "Perhaps we should do it again on another day?"
"She's asking you if you want to go on another adventure sometime?"
"Wait", I started. "Are you serious! You actually want to go on another adventure with me?"
"And why would I not", Fischl asked.
"It's just", I started. "Today we got lucky, but my bad luck has resulted in much worse things happening. And…I don't want you to get hurt, Fischl."
With that, Fischl looked at me in shock.
Then, she cleared her throat.
"You forget that you are talking to the Prinzessin der Verurteilung", she said. "Whatever dangers your curse decides to inflict onto me, I will be able to counter them."
"She's means she will be able to protect herself."
"Really", I asked. "Well, if you're okay with it…then I'll gladly go on other adventure with you!"
