Part 2

Hanrae, as the loyal person she was to the Akatsuki leader, did as she was asked and remained at the hideout while everyone else left for the Land of Iron. There wasn't much else to do but to begin preparing for the arrival of her first born. Since Tobi admitted he was an Uchiha, many questions were developing in her mind. Questions that made her wonder why would Kakashi have his left eye? Why wasn't Tobi still in the Leaf village? Who was the person Tobi stated Kakashi killed? And those weren't the only questions. There were others.

Yes, she had seen his face, well at least part of it anyway. It was always dark in the room when he would remove his mask, so it was quite hard to see what his full face looked like. She knew one side of his face was massed in scars from when he almost died, but that didn't explain on 'who' he was. Who was the man behind the façade of the mask?

As Hanrae sat in her room, completely bored as she done everything she wanted to do that day, to work on preparing for the baby. That consisted on leaving the hideout to purchase some baby things from a nearby shop where Tobi always got any of his supplies. The shop owner was an Akatsuki ally.

Looking at the door for several moments, an idea came to mind. Perhaps there was something else she could do. Her mind drifted back to Tobi once again. "Well Tobi, just who the hell are you? Really?" Standing, she walked towards the door. "Just what are you hiding?"

Leaving her room, she went down the hall to Tobi's chambers. With no one being around, they wouldn't catch her snooping around the area for anything. She was free to find whatever she wanted or needed without causing an alarm.

Entering his room, she took a look around. Never before had she been in his room until now and looking at it, caused a small gasp to release from her lips. His room had a white and red circle like crest over top of his bed. She immediately recognized the symbol. "He is Uchiha!"

So he was correct on his family lineage, but that only explained a small portion of her questions. She needed more answers. Like who was he and how did he get the name 'Tobi'. Tobi wasn't a name an Uchiha would call their son. It was a generic name, often used for non-ninja clan families.

There were lit candles around the room and with them still lit they were no doubt from a jutsu. The room was simply decorated with a bed, dresser and another door, which lead to the bathroom. By the dresser a hook poked out of the wall, which rested beside a mirror. The hook, she figured, was to hang his mask at night while he slept.

Going over to the dresser, she pulled open the drawers to see what sort of clothes he had. Perhaps his clothing could tell her something. In moments, she went through all the drawers and still found nothing, at least not until she pulled the last drawer and it had a photo. The photo was torn at the edges and on it had a blonde man with spiky hair and was grinning.

There was a boy wearing a mask and he looked annoyed and a girl who was grinning excitedly. However there was a large tear in the photo where there looked to be someone else. Immediately she began to wonder who the people were. The masked kid seemed very familiar to her, but this kid had both eyes. The one she knew only had one eye visible.

"It looks like Kakashi of the Leaf, just he has one eye covered because of his Sharingan. I wonder." Putting the photo back, she closed the drawer and took one more look around his room. There wasn't anything else she was going to find to help answer her questions. She was going to have to wait until Tobi returned. With a sigh, she left the room, going back to her own. She had many questions and she was determined to find them.

In the days after Tobi returned, things were going to how he wanted them. He had kept himself busy with all that he was doing including something dealing with the Uchiha teen Hanrae knew as a child when she was part of the Leaf, but did he remember her?

The only thing that really bugged Hanrae the most was Tobi was hardly around. He was always constantly dealing with the Uchiha boy. Seeing the boy, she couldn't believe how much he had changed in the years she had been away. Of course it took her completely by surprised when she learnt the Uchiha teen was trained by Orochimaru.

"Tobi!" she yelled, finally able to catch him alone.

At the mention of his alias name, the man in questioned turned to the sound. "Ah, Hanrae, it's nice to see you."

"See me my butt. You've been avoiding me for days now and I'm tired of it," she complained.

"Now, now," he said in his usual deep tone. "You don't want to get too upset. I've heard stress isn't good for the baby."

"No, it's not and neither is neglecting the mother to be. I know you have all these plans and becoming a father wasn't exactly part of it, but this child is yours and it would be nice to actually visit with me."

"We'll have plenty of time to bond once I have everything all dealt with. Soon the Hidden Leaf Village will know what true sorrow is all about. They think they know now, but just wait."

"Tobi that could take years. I have qualms about what you're about to do. They betrayed me too. But don't you think I deserve some attention from you?"

Tobi reached over and grabbed her hands. "Having you at my side is the attention I need. And once our child is born, he or she will be the beginning of the new Uchiha clan."

She sighed in frustrations. "Yeah I'm going to give birth to an Uchiha baby with the man I really know nothing about. It's obvious to know you were once a member of the Leaf, but I don't really know you besides you being the true head of the Akatsuki."

"Isn't that enough?" he asked, getting slightly irritated by her questions.

"No it's not!" she snapped. "I gave you my heart, my love, my body and what's the thanks I get? An accidental pregnancy that you at first blamed me for."

"I've given you everything you have ever needed since joining the Akatsuki," he countered. "I treat you a hell of a lot better than anyone else in the organization. Not even Konan was ever treated as you were."

"Yeah, I get special privileges. It pays to sleep with the boss, but that's not the point."

"You know I care about you, so why are you making such a big deal out of this?" His patience was running thin now.

She clenched her fists. "You just don't get it do you!?" she yelled as she turned and stormed away. Her emotions were getting the best of her. No doubt it was due to her pregnancy.

Tobi sighed. "No, apparently not," he whispered to himself.

When he was a child, he saw women pregnant and had weird mood swings. He never understood it then and he still didn't. He wanted the woman he cared for. Before becoming with child, she was caring and gentle. Then again it was his fault that she became pregnant because of his impatience that day when she conceived. His impatience was worse than he ever cared to admit. Of course he would never admit it openly that it was his fault.

Not wanting to worry about it anymore, he turned and left. There were still many things to do to prepare for and one of them was dealing with Kabuto.

Hanrae couldn't believe how oblivious Tobi was to her feelings in all of this. As she marched her way away from the man she deeply cared for, her eyes saw something move from the left. Stopped and turned in that direction, she immediately saw a man she wasn't expecting to see ever again.

"Sasuke," she breathed.

There before her, some distance away, was the last known Uchiha left alive and he was looking at her with intense.

"What do you want!?" she snapped.

"Nothing," the young teen answered. He needed surgery on his eyes, but had yet to have it done. He could see, but not very well. He was going to have Tobi who he knew him as Madara transfer his brother's eyes into his own. "Just curious on who was the person who knocked you up. Was it Kisame, Deidara, Zetsu…"

"Don't make me puke!" she yelled. "I wouldn't go near those guys with a ten foot poll. They are my friends and will never be seen as anymore than that."

"Then who?" the teen asked.

"If you must know. It's Tobi." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"So that's what he has you calling him by?" Sasuke snorted.

"What's that supposed to mean?" she asked, confused. "Even Zetsu calls him Tobi."

"You're behind the times. His name is Madara Uchiha."

She gasped and then her eyes narrowed. "You lie! Madara Uchiha is dead and if he was remotely still alive, he'd be pushing around 100 by now."

"Don't believe me?" he challenged, noticing how defensive she got suddenly about the man she acclaimed as to be the father of her child.

"Why should I believe you?" she asked. "Tobi is not an old man. I've seen his face. And besides some scars, he's quite handsome. Better looking that you'll ever be!"

"He's removed his mask in front of you?" Sasuke was taken aback. "I find that hard to believe."

"You're a guy. I don't expect you to understand. He's only a few years older than me. So unless Madara Uchiha has found away to reach the fountain of youth, that is not who he really is." Not wanting to hear anymore in what he had to say, she turned away and stormed off.

Now she really needed to know who he was and there was no way she was going to back down. Something was up. There was no way he could be Madara Uchiha. Madara Uchiha was the one who signed the treaty with the Senju before the Hidden Leaf village was formed and it was through their treaty the village was created. She already knew the Hokage of the Leaf was the granddaughter of the First Hokage.

As she left Sasuke's room, she felt something or someone was following her. She ignored the presence until reaching her room when she finally got tired of it and turned to confront the person.

"Look you, I just…" she stopped short seeing who it was. "Tobi!" she squeaked.

Silently, he lifted up his arm, and pulled off his mask, revealing his face to her. "I see you know Sasuke Uchiha is here. How do you feel about that?

"I knew him when he was a young kid but when I left the village, I think he had just became Genin or was at least soon to become one. I can't remember for sure and frankly don't really care. What I care about, is you."

"So it doesn't bother you he's here, that's good," he smirked.

"He tells me, you're Madara, but I know that is a lie. Madara is dead and has been a long time."

He sighed. "Can you please accept that there are things I don't wish to speak about with you? Yes, I am purposely keeping you in the dark on some things, especially my past, but I'm doing that for your own protection. You are my girlfriend, mother of my unborn child. You can become a target and the less you know, the safer you'll be."

For the first time, she wasn't seeing the leader of the Akatsuki but just a man and in his eyes showed an emotion she didn't think he actually had. Fear.

"I just want to know the man who is the father to this baby," she answered.

He stepped closer to her and brought a hand to her abdomen. "Someday I will tell you, but right now the dangers in you knowing are too high. You are too important to me."

She opened her mouth to speak but he brought a finger to silence her. "I love you and I want to be with you forever." He then removed his finger.

"I love you, too," she breathed.

He gave her a smile before leaning closer, kissing her. Her arms wrapped around his neck, as he pressed further into her. Reaching behind her, he fiddled with the door, opening it and then, without breaking the kiss, had her walk backwards into the room, closing the door behind him with his foot.
