Exactly two thousand four hundred and eighty six people perished when Sharon Rose breathed her last breath. Their heads blown open as a mass of pitch black flesh shot out from the exposed carcass and converged in one place, the Academy, Haven. Burgun Rose's last ditch effort, a petty, immature attempt at a failsafe, one meant to cause as much destruction as possible before they went out, to cement themselves in the minds of those still alive and those that have defeated them.

Cinder widened her eyes as she stared up at the spectacle in front of her, some Silver-Eyed freak with their head blown open, hung up by the black tentacles protruding from the hole in her skull. Was it a Grimm? Had her mistress, Salem, known about this? "What the hell…?" Courrier breathed next to her, "Holy…" Cinder shared the same sentiments; the tentacles pulsed, writhed, and pulsated as she took a look out the window. What looks to be jet black missiles flew through the sky as they all converged in Haven, thousands of them, blanketing the sky like a hail of arrows.

Cinder could hear the screams. The sound no longer blocked out by the windows as the fleshy black mass broke through the window and coalesced around the Silver-Eyed freak's unmoving body. "We're just a moment apart now…" the freak whispered tenderly, looking unbothered with the fact that her head was ventilated, "Ashes to ashes…" the mass grew larger, Cinder listened to the beat, it was a heartbeat, "Dust to dust." The freak's voice sounded like a harmony, overlapping voices creating a dissonant, ear-grating sound. The black flesh retracted back to the inside of her head as the freak dropped down, hands gripping the double-headed Scythe from before.

She swung it to the side, Grimm particles emanated from the blade as she stared down the two, both Cinder and Courrier. The freak had pale skin, her head still shaped like a crescent with an eye and half a mouth missing, she pointed at the two, "Die." The homogenized voice that came from the freak sounded gentle, soothing, utterly contrasting the intense Aura that enveloped her body. The freak's Aura violently crackled as it lashed out against its surroundings, pure Soul energy raking lines into the concrete floor and walls.

Cinder noticed from the corner of her eye, the entrance to the hall briefly opening before immediately slamming shut. The hair on the back of her neck rose as she instinctively activated her Aura, blocking a lash from the freak's tentacles, the strike knocking her back a fair amount while her shoes skid on the concrete. It hurt, much more than it's supposed to, Cinder hissed out in pain as her knees nearly buckled from the hit, Courrier quickly jumped out of the way before she could be hit though, "You!" Cinder yelled, pouring all of her Aura into making a large wall of fire to separate the freak and them, "We need to work together," Courrier raised an eyebrow at this but judging from the lack of snarky reply, Cinder figured that she knows the stakes as well, "You got a plan?"

Courrier narrowed her eyes at the wall of fire, "I have concepts of a plan, would that help?" Cinder sighed, "Nah, nah, I have… ideas, here and there, nothing big though, nothing concrete," Courrier reached into her duster, "I think… yeah… yeah! I got it, now listen up…"

Cinder listened, the plan was unfinished, with little chance of actually working, but damn it it's the only plan they have, might as well go through with it, Cinder took a look at Courrier, more at the woman- man- bastard's forehead, the line going across it… the stitches… any idiot can put two and two together… "It's the same soul in a different body," Cinder remembered what Salem had said, "I have eyes everywhere Cinder…" Cinder flinched as another tentacle tried to slash through the wall of fire, "This so-called 'rival' of yours… how interesting…" Cinder grimaced as she glanced back at Courrier, man, woman, who cares? She'll kill 'em dead when all of this is over…

The Roses felt strange. Sharon floated amongst a bright white void, the sight incomprehensible, the sound indescribable, the feeling indecipherable. It was warm, on her skin, Sharon reached out a hand, grasping at the light, watching it converge and spiral towards the darker centre. Burgun was close and far at the same time, she felt him near her presence, but she did not see him nor hear him. Where was she right now? "Are you proud, sister?" Burgun asked earnestly, his figure blurring in and out of view in front of her, a sharp, cold sensation rush through her skin, "My failsafe worked, I've avenged us…" Sharon furrowed her brows.

"No, absolutely not! You fucking pathetic excuse for a human being!" She exclaimed, loudly, the sound echoing through the white void, "When- how, what the fuck just happened?!" Sharon grabbed Burgun's collar, staring into his dead, cold eyes. Their gaze vacant and empty as his pupils slowly moved to focus on her's, "I never asked to be avenged!" Sharon headbutted the figure, feeling a white-hot pain searing her forehead as the figure of Burgun dissipated. The void rumbled, she felt the vibrations in her fingers, before the lights went out, "Hello?!" Sharon panicked, it was dark, and there was nothing.

Raven watched from a hiding spot in the ceiling, just above the abomination that was Sharon Rose and the burned terrorists. She felt the wall of fire conjured up by one of the terrorists through her bird form, the intense heat making her sweat. Raven wracked her brain to think of ideas… her ideals of 'Might makes right' haven't worked so far, seeing as how she's no longer the strongest… She'll have to rid the world of that abomination, even if it means working with two terrorists who have done much worse than her. Besides, committing mass amounts of murder was way worse than pillaging some villages here and there, Raven's sure of it.

Transforming back from her bird form, Raven landed quietly behind the two terrorists, thinking that she may have gotten the jump on them… "Good to have you here too, bird, this is Cinder and I'm Courrier," apparently not… Courrier looked at her with a serious glare; Cinder didn't even consider her even for a second, "Listen deadbeat, we have a plan all set out, if you fuck this up…" Courrier clenched a fist and pointed a finger at Raven, "Well… we might all be dead before I can do anything to you…" Courrier sighed.

"We're not telling her the plan," Cinder said blankly, her hands still making the impenetrable fire wall to keep the abomination at bay, Raven flinched as the tentacles immediately burned up into ash the moment they swing at the flames, "She'll be our… bait, distraction…" Cinder scoffed, "You good at evading?" Raven nodded, Cinder grits her teeth as Raven saw her finger tips start to char up, scars littered her arms and face, Courrier had them too… it was kinda hot… Raven shook her head, No! Destroy the Grimm abomination now, then go ask for forgiveness from her daughter, ex, and idiot brother and THEN get a date later…

The wall of fire dropped and the two terrorists immediately jumped out of the way, Raven did too, but just a split second slower. The abomination lashed out, tentacles whipping left right and centre, destroying the walls and floors as it approached the three. Cinder shot forth a blast of fire at the abomination, to which it easily waved away. She clicked her tongue and jumped back before the abomination could attack. After a couple of minutes of dodging, Raven noticed something… it's just her left, the other two have disappeared.

Those backstabbing, traitorous scum! Leaving her like this! Raven slashed at a tentacle whipping itself straight at her, feeling the force rattling her sword and hand. It felt like she was hitting someone's Aura… wait a damn second… The abomination twirled its double-headed scythe around expertly; Raven shuddered as she stared back in its singular eye, trying her best not to focus on the huge hole in the side of its head. The abomination jumped at her, scythe primed for a large swing while its Aura shimmer and crackled, Raven could see the energy slowly branching out into separate limbs, i.e. the tentacles.

Raven quickly took a step back and deflected the scythe swing to the side before jumping over the lashing Aura whips; she then spun around in the air and delivered a dropkick straight to the abomination's head, blocked by its immense Aura of course. The thing was still knocked back though, stumbling a bit before it raised its scythe again, Raven took quick glances around the area, where the hell are the other two?! She quickly jumped back, dodging another whip lash, her eyes then widened when a pillar of fire descended upon the abomination. It noticed this though, quickly jumping to the side to avoid the blast, Cinder was on the ceiling, "Keep that thing in one place!" She yelled, swinging to another corner as she dodged the Aura whip.

Raven nodded, switching Omen's blade to ice dust as she swung at the abomination indiscriminately, each slash connecting with the monster's Aura as it slowly began freezing it. Raven could see the frostbite hanging off of its Aura, Cinder shot another jet of flames at it, this time a continuous one as she directed the beam around the room, focusing on the abomination as Raven jumped back to avoid the crossfire. The abomination screeched, Raven seeing it clear as day as the abomination's Aura crackled and shimmered violently, the whips trying in vain to bat away the beam and breaking itself out of the ice.

Raven clicked her tongue as it did just that, shattering the ice that she applied before jumping away. Ice Dust, unlike real ice, have an extremely high melting point, high enough to be useful in combat and to be used in tandem with fire dust, Cinder's flames though… they were slowly melting the Ice Dust… Raven wiped away the sweat on her brow; thankfully she's on her side… for now.

Sharon felt cold; her eyes shot open to see the ground, "It seems to be a success..." Sharon heard a voice from her left, she can't move, not even blink, "They… bare an uncanny resemblance, ma'am…" This is the past. She blocked this out a long time ago, why the hell…? "Grimm, human, the lines separating the two have been blurred," a soft female voice came closer to Sharon, she felt something brush against her fingers, and she twitched, "Rise, my creation, rise…"

Sharon smirked, Salem didn't know, breaking away from the witch's brainwashing was easy when you're made out of her biggest enemy, or second biggest… Sharon followed through with Salem's atrocities for a good while before breaking out from her programming, Salem wanted a Grimm that can use Aura and she got it, unfortunately, said Grimm came with sentience and morals. Sharon doesn't know why she's seeing all of this again though… strange…

Qrow knelt down to look at the kids, "Things have seriously gotten out of hand now…" he sighed, glancing at Ruby, "Listen…"

"Why? What's wrong?" Yang raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms as she looked at the door separating them and the abomination, "We just saw you peek through and then immediately shut the door," Yang snorted, "You looked seriously pale then too…"

"It's just- I… Damn it!" Qrow gritted out, ignoring Ruby's indignant exclamation of his bad language, "We're getting out of here, now!"

"What?" Jaune asked, confusedly as Qrow began walking the other way, "Don't we need what's in there?" he pointed at the door, "I don't hear any-" Qrow flinched as a large boom echoed through the door, looking up in horror as the entire academy shook after whatever that was, dust and pebbles falling from the roof and hitting Jaune in the head, "Ow! Okay, point taken…"

"Good." Qrow nodded, letting the kids go first so that he can make sure none of whatever the fuck was going on in there to follow them. Gods… maybe Ozpin knows something about this, Qrow sighed, good thing he didn't bring him here, who knows what could've happened…

I'm getting back into the groove of things, though I wouldn't count on my upload schedule.

As for the other fic, I'm really struggling to see how I can write Eden, especially after I've incorporated him into the story.

I like New Vegas a lot more than 3, so writing Eden accurately is going to be a pretty big challenge.

Another problem would be the pacing, I don't know if I should go fast or slow or whatever I just don't know man...

Also also, I think there's a hurricane heading directly towards Florida later this week, so yeah lol.

Thanks for reading!
