(Prompt 5 was Into a Swift Sunrise.)

Thanks to all readviewers! Today we have a series of fragments. The prompt was "Victory".

Victory!

Cynax saw her sister's lips move, but she never heard the Word that was spoken. She would never hear anything again, nor would any creature in that world save one.

Jadis fought fiercely, making slow but sure headway against the older boy. A vicious smile grew on her face, until a Lion's roar broke across the battlefield.

Rabadash slew many in the hot rage of battle. But he dared name himself a very instrument of his god, and was caught up short by his pride.

Miraz saw the young man's feet step back, and both blessed and cursed chivalry. As he struggled to rise, a shout of "Treason!" went up behind him. Treason? he wondered. What treason is this? A moment later, he found out.

Pug was quite pleased with himself for having made a pretty penny off yesterday's lucky catch, when he heard a shout of "Make way for the king!" outside. The boy he had sold to Larimar yesterday strode up to him in shining gilded armor, and he could do nothing but gape.

Iesil deemed the diggings nearly complete. Only a day more, and she would finally strike at the very heart and soul of Narnia. Perhaps, she thought with amusement, it would not even need battle, only a twist of the enchantment in order to restore some of Rilian's memory. For was it not likely that the people would welcome their long-lost prince back with open arms, and naturally her also as his rescuer and wife-to-be? She smiled as she approached his chamber. But this time, the door opened to reveal four figures instead of one.

Rishda was so close, so very close to defeating the erstwhile king of Narnia. He had forced him to retreat right up to the stable, and was edging him inside. Then Tirian let go his sword with a shout and threw himself backward through the door, hauling Rishda with him.

Victory, but not yours.
