Carlisle POV.
I walked in the familiar walls of the Port Angeles Hospital. As well as doing a speech, I agreed to see some top priority patients, including an 18 year old girl. Samules, a Clinic doctor, who was the current doctor of the girl was meeting me to inform me of this patient, than I would be off to Langley, Vancouver to a job at the BC children's hospital.
"Doctor Cullen! A pleasure to finally meet you!," He came up from behind me and held out an eager hand.
I laughed! "The pleasure is mine!" I replied. "Please, let's get down to business," I motioned to the hallway and we started walking.
"Yes!" He agreed eagerly and walked down the hall. "So the girl has been going through some depression, and that is causing her body to break down, we have diagnosed her with Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, and she isn't getting any better," My mind flashed to Edward, to Bella and all the family we have lost. "Of course, Ms. Swan is-" I stopped dead, "Swan?" I croaked. He didn't even have a chance to nod before I was off running, down the hall to the room designated for Ms. B Swan. I stopped at the doorway, my eyes glossed over her body. Her eyes were sunken in and you could see the bones like there was no muscle. Her skin was almost clear and she was just left dyeing in her bed.
"What was the cause of her depression?" My lips said barely moving. He took a second to look at his paper and frowned, trying to look for the information.
"Her father told us it started after her boyfriend broke up with her and left with no means of communication," He read of his paper. "She isn't doing so well." Then, as if on cue her heart monitor started going off. I didn't think this through. I slammed the door and pulled a blanket over the other doctor's head. I slammed the window open and grabbed Bella and pulled her into my arms. I jumped through the window and landed on the roof tops and graciously leaped from roof to roof. I stopped every so often to do compressions to keep her heart going.
I felt her stirr in my arms. "Carlisle," She whispered. "I want him," I wanted to tell her he was at home waiting for her, that he is going to be with her forever, but how can I promise that if I don't know where he is. Maybe Esme got him home to help with the move. I heard her heart flutter, trying to push its way, but I knew she wouldn't make it.
I bent her down. "Ms. Swan, this may hurt a little," I leaned down and bit her neck, her arm and her thighs; but she didn't even squirm when I did so. I sighed and did some chest compressions every now and then on the way to langley.
She managed to keep her heart going after a while, no need for my compressions.
When I arrived home Esme and Alice opened Bella back with open arms. It hurt to know we would eventually tell her Edward left the clan.
It was than, two days later she woke up her eyes scanned the room and we heard her gasp with the new complexity.
She only said one thing. One thing that we would learn later, she would never speak of this topic again: "Is he here?"
Sorry, another short one! Enjoy and I don't own the Twilight Saga.
