The alarm went off and SuperTed ran to answer his computer screen. On the screen appeared two figures, wearing yellow raincoats and hats, on a giant vessel that was in the middle of a very rough storm and surrounded by tidal waves.
"SuperTed, we need your help, please!" one of the figures cried.
"Our boat has broken down and we're lost and stuck in the Bermuda Triangle!" cried the other figure.
SuperTed looked unsure about those figures as he saw them plead for his help on the computer screen. To hear about the Bermuda Triangle was scary enough, but it was the figures on the boat themselves that made him worried because they looked like two of his enemies he fought in the past. But he couldn't be certain because the coat and the hat that each of them wore hid too much and the heavy rain around them didn't help him see better. Anyway, the first rule of being a superhero was to always answer every cry for help, no matter who or what it was.
"I'm on my way." Then SuperTed turned the screen off, said his secret magic word, ripped off his fur revealing his scarlet suit and his yellow rocket boots and then he flew out of his space station and flew down to Planet Earth to the Bermuda Triangle. As he flew, he remembered about Spotty not being with him to help him and that reminded him of all his guilty feelings he still had about that very heated argument with him.
SuperTed reached the Bermuda Triangle. He tried to find the boat, but he struggled through the heavy rain and the rough waves on the sea. He managed to find a ship and it looked a lot like the one he saw on his computer screen. As he landed on it and looked around, the more it looked like it was the correct ship, but he couldn't be one hundred percent certain. The ship looked damaged and it had no crew at all. This made him start to feel extra cautious.
"Hello?" SuperTed called. "Hello? Anyone here?"
The teddy bear became worried as he started to think that the waves might have pushed the crew into the rough sea and he was too late to save them. He started to think that he was on the wrong ship, even though he couldn't find another ship in the whole of the Bermuda Triangle ever since he reached it.
Then something hit SuperTed. He saw that he got trapped in a block of ice. He tried to use his strength and the fire power from his rocket boots to break free from the ice, but it was too thick.
"Hello, SuperTed."
SuperTed looked to see two of his enemies approaching him – Dr. Frost and Pengy. That would explain the ice and why he got frozen in it. He gave his two enemies a hard stare. Then he saw more people arriving.
"Greetings, SuperTed," said Prince Pyjamarama.
"How are you feeling, SuperTed?" Bubbles the Clown asked. "Are you chilled?" Then he laughed at his own joke.
Then SuperTed saw the rest of the people on this ship, who were non other than most of the enemies he ever faced during his life. They included Polka Dot Face, the two Striped Men from the Planet Stripe who were spies in the Spotted Army, Julius Scissors and his best Hairmongers, Dr. Somnia and Bulk and Skeleton, who were the guys wearing the raincoats and hats who asked SuperTed for help. And saving the worst for last, the teddy bear was finally greeted by his archenemy, Texas Pete.
"Welcome aboard, SuperTed," the evil cowboy greeted evilly.
"What do you want, Texas Pete?" SuperTed demanded.
"Why, you, of course."
"So, all of this has been nothing but a trap to capture me?"
"Correct." Then Tex realised that it was just SuperTed alone. "Hey, where's your pimple-headed friend?"
"He left," SuperTed replied. "I don't know where he's gone, but, wherever he is, I hope he'll safe away from you."
"Well, when we do find him, you ain't gonna be there to save him," Tex said.
"Why? What are you going to do to me?"
"Take away your special powers," Tex replied.
"I'd like to see you try, Tex," SuperTed said.
"And you will, SuperTed," Tex said. "You will see me succeed." Then he turned to his villain friends. "Well, what are you morons waiting for? Give him the bad potion before the ice melts!"
"Right away, Tex," Bulk and Skeleton said.
Bulk was about to do it, but Skeleton tried to grab the bad potion from him.
"Let me do it, Bulk," Skeleton said. "You're too clumsy."
"No way, Skeleton," Bill said. "The honour is mine. Tex gave it to me."
But the two friends just kept on struggling to fight until Tex approached them.
"Ah, just give it to me, you two idiots," Tex snapped, as he snatched the jar. "You want something done, you got to do it yourself," he muttered to himself as he approached SuperTed.
The teddy bear wriggled his head to avoid taking the bad potion.
"Somebody, do something!" Tex yelled at his villain friends.
"Okay, Tex." Then Bulk slipped on the slippery deck and collapsed on it. "How's that, Tex?"
"I meant do something to stop this annoying pile of stuffing wriggle his head, you idiot!" Tex snapped.
Then SuperTed finally stopped wriggling his head and went unconscious when a device was put onto his head by Dr. Somnia, who was wearing the same device on his head.
"Is he asleep, Dr. Somnia?" Tex asked.
"He is," Somnia replied. Then he showed Tex a small screen. It showed a very scared SuperTed in a dark forest with tall, scary trees and the scary, night sky behind them. "This is what he's dreaming off while he's unconscious. And I'll take care of him even more."
Tex was delighted when he saw that the Sleepless Knight had arrived in SuperTed's dream and started to chase him in the scary forest. The terrified teddy bear couldn't even fly, even though he had his rocket boots on. They just weren't working.
While the Sleepless Knight was keeping SuperTed occupied in his terrible nightmare, Tex wasted no time to open the teddy bear's mouth and poured all the bad potion into him. He made sure that he drank every drop.
When the jar was empty, the villains moved a step back and watched what happened. The ice block around SuperTed vanished into and so did his scarlet suit and yellow rocket boots.
"Okay, Doctor," Tex said. "Let him wake up. It's time to see how he reacts to being completely powerless."
SuperTed made groaning noises as he regained consciousness.
"What's the matter, SuperTed?" Tex asked. "Are we too much for you? You call yourself strong? You call yourself smart? You call yourself a hero?"
"I'm not done yet, Tex!" SuperTed snapped. He tried to say his secret magic word, but nothing happened. He couldn't even rip off his fur, let alone reveal his suit and rocket boots. He didn't know what was happening.
"You want to know what happened to your powers, Super Runt?" Tex asked. He showed SuperTed the empty potion jar. "This is what happened. A gift from Mother Nature."
SuperTed gasped. "What did you all do to her, Tex?"
"Well, we invaded her magic cloud," Bulk said, "and then we captured her and forced her to make a potion that would drain your powers and then –"
"Shut up, Bulk!" Tex snapped.
"Sorry, Tex," Bulk said.
"I'll get you for this, Tex!" SuperTed snapped as he rose up.
"Come on, then, you giant annoying piece of stuffing!" Tex snapped. "Give me your best shot!"
SuperTed ran and tried to throw a punch to Tex, but he missed and fell down. All the villains laughed at his failure.
"Is that it? Is that all you got?" Tex laughed evilly. "Come on. Try again."
SuperTed rose back up and went to for Tex again, but he slipped on some ice created by Dr. Frost and didn't stop until he landed in a metal box. Then the door of the box was shut and locked by the evil striped soldiers.
"All secured, sir," the evil Spotted soldiers reported.
"Excellent," Tex said. "Now, just push him to the bottom of the sea and then finally nothing will stop us from ruling the entire universe."
Then the evil stripped soldiers pushed the box into the sea. All the villains laughed and cheered as their boat continued to sail away.
"Come on, boys," Tex said. "Now that SuperTed's out of the way, let's go and take over the universe."
His villain friends cheered.
"What about Spottyman, Tex?" Skeleton asked.
"He shouldn't be too hard to find and deal with," Tex said. "SuperTed's always been the smart one between those two heroes. Now, that teddy bear is taken care of, that spotty idiot will be much easier to find and control. Now, come on! There's a universe for us to rule!"
The villains cheered as the boat continued to sail away.
In the metal box at the bottom of the seabed, SuperTed tried very hard to break out of the metal box, but he was too weak, helpless and powerless to do so. All he could do was hope that, whatever Tex and his evil villain friends was going to do, everyone would be okay, especially his best friend Spotty, because he had no power to help them at all.
