"So, let me get this straight. You dragged us out here in the middle of the night to tell us that some guy who has magic has taken over the body of that girl you found the other day?" The lamppost above them gave off enough light to show the disbelieving look on Mr. Grumpy's face as he crossed his arms.

They don't believe us! Mr. Nosy realized, heart racing. Why would their friends think they would lie to them, especially about something as terrible as this?

After they had filled Mr. Scatterbrain and Little Miss Calamity in with what has been happening since Tyler trapped them in the magenta Mr. Man's basement, they agreed to come with Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small to try to convince their other friends that they are in trouble, but reluctantly, Mr. Nosy noticed. He guessed that they were afraid of Tyler doing worse to them than just locking them in a room.

"We promise that he won't do anything else to you," Mr. Small had reassured them.

The couple looked at him in confusion. "What can you do to stop him?" Little Miss Calamity had asked, her voice thick with doubt.

Mr. Small pointed to the toy lemur that Mr. Nosy held. "That is his weakness," he explained. "We aren't really sure why, but he seems terrified of it, and he won't go anywhere near it. As long as we have that, we're safe." His words were confident, but there was a hint of unsureness in his tone.

But it seemed to convince their friends to come with them to tell everyone what Tyler had done to them; Mr. Nosy had been relieved to see that they were beginning to trust them.

Suddenly he remembered what Mr. Small had confidently said as they left Mr. Scatterbrain's house. "When our friends realize how dangerous Tyler is, everyone will get together to stop him."

Or it would get them to stay away from him, Mr. Nosy had thought as he followed his friends. He wanted to believe that with everyone in Dillydale, they could stop Tyler, but they've never had to face anything like this before.

"Precisely." Mr. Small's voice knocked into Mr. Nosy's thoughts, bringing him back to the present where he stood on the sidewalk under the lamppost with the others, and he realized that his small friend was replying to Mr. Grumpy, seeming to ignore the disbelief in the blue Mr. Man's tone. "We discovered that he is terrified of this toy lemur." He gestured to the stuffed animal that Mr. Nosy held, and the light green Mr. Man lifted it up so the others could see it clearly.

Little Miss Daredevil stared at them. "But this doesn't make any sense," she pointed out, confused. "Why is this guy after this girl? And what does it have to do with any of us?" She paused before asking," And why is he afraid of a toy?"

Mr. Nervous turned to her sharply, eyes wide. "Who wouldn't be afraid of that thing?" he gasped, shaking as he stared at the soft toy. "It's horrifying!"

Suddenly they started arguing, Mr. Nervous insisting that they needed to run away before Tyler could do something unthinkable to them, but Little Miss Daredevil objected, pointing out that if any of this was real, that they needed to stay and fight.

Mr. Grumpy rolled his eyes. "You two are dodo birds if you really believe any of this." He turned back to Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small. "Where is this guy if he is real?"

"We don't know," Mr. Small replied, frowning. "He's running around somewhere with–"

The blue Mr. Man interrupted him. "I have not seen him," he announced, narrowing his eyes. Before either of them could respond, he turned to Mr. Nervous. "Have you seen him?" After the purple Mr. Man shook his head, worry shining in his eyes, Mr. Grumpy glanced at the Little Miss. "What about you?"

"No," Little Miss Daredevil admitted, giving Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small an apologetic look.

Mr. Nosy opened his mouth to insist that Tyler was real, but suddenly he was pushed aside by Mr. Scatterbrain, who stopped in front of Mr. Grumpy. "We've witnessed what this guy is capable of, and if we don't do something about him soon, he will make us regret not doing anything while we could." His voice was sad while Mr. Nosy caught a flash of fear in his eyes.

Sympathy toward his friend washed over Mr. Nosy. He frowned, realizing the suffering they must have endured the past few days, locked in the basement with only peanuts to eat while Tyler and Micheal posed as them to get their hands on Scarlet. And knowing Mr. Scatterbrain, he was worried sick about his animals, he thought, remembering how the magenta Mr. Man didn't want to leave his house until he was sure all his pets were accounted for, and he promised to bring home food since over the days their owner was locked up, they eat everything in the house.

Little Miss Calamity joined her boyfriend, staying close to him and hugging his arm, looking around widely like she thought Tyler would appear out of nowhere. Mr. Scatterbrain glanced down at her, putting his other hand on hers. Then he turned back to Mr. Grumpy, his eyes suddenly filled with determination. "I want to get rid of this guy, so Miss. Calamity and everyone else is safe again."

The blue Mr. Man stared at him for a long time, but right when he was about to reply, a scream from Mr. Nervous made everyone turn to him. Mr. Nosy was confused to see the purple Mr. Man staring at something overhead, his body trembling.

Startled, Mr. Nosy turned and looked up, but what he saw made him freeze as dread ran down his back.

A large, black cloud drifted in the sky, visible only when it passed over the moon. A shadow fell on the buildings and streets as the cloud floated over all of Dillydale, engulfing everyone in its gloom, with just the lamppost above them shredding light. But it didn't seem like a normal storm. Red lightning flashed throughout the cloud as thunder crackled so loud that it shook the earth under their feet.

"What is that?" Mr. Grumpy gasped, turning to Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small.

Mr. Nosy exchanged a glance with Mr. Small, and the light green Mr. Man noticed that his friend was thinking the same thing he was.

"It has to be Tyler," Mr. Small told the grumpy Mr. Man. "He's upset, because he knows we're trying to rescue Scarlet."

The others looked at one another with terror on their faces, but before anyone could say something, Mr. Nervous screamed again and ran off, disappearing around a building just as thunder shook the ground again.

Mr. Grumpy looked up at the cloud. Then he turned back to Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small. "Okay, so if what you said is true," he began carefully, his face revealing his shock," what are we supposed to do to stop this guy? You said he has magic," he said before they could answer him. "But we don't."

Jumping up, Mr. Small snatched the stuffed lemur out of his best friend's hand, landing back on the sidewalk. "This toy has power over him," he insisted, looking at it with hope shining in his eyes as if he was certain the toy was all they needed to defeat the evil human.

It's the only thing we found that frightens him, Mr. Nosy told himself, knowing they had to put all their faith in the stuffed toy; he remembered that it somehow opened the door so they could save their friends.

Mr. Grumpy stared at them in shock while Little Miss Daredevil looked doubtful, and Little Miss Calamity tried her best to hide herself behind her boyfriend; Mr. Scatterbrain took a stand in front of her like he was ready to protect her.

Finally the tense silence was broken by Little Miss Daredevil. "How can you be so sure that a toy can stop someone who's able to make that?" She pointed up at the large cloud that was hovering completely over the town now, red lightning flashing throughout it.

"We discovered his weakness during a nasty encounter with him," Mr. Small explained carefully as if he was deliberately avoiding telling them what truly happened when Tyler found them in their house.

Just thinking about it made Mr. Nosy's heart pound in his chest. He had been focusing on saving the small Mr. Man and then they had to go check on their missing friends, but now that he had a moment to take in everything that happened when Tyler showed up, he realized how close he came to losing his best friend.

What would I do without Mr. Small? he asked himself, though he quickly pushed that thought out of his mind, terrified to know the answer.

Mr. Small's voice broke into Mr. Nosy's troubling thoughts. "What we need to do is find Tyler," he was saying, glancing at the others who stood around them," before he can do any more harm. We need to save Scarlet," he added, urgently. "She's our friend."

Suddenly Mr. Grumpy's eyes narrowed. "You mean, she's your friend," he corrected the small man. "I don't know her well enough to risk my own life to save her. You two are on your own with this one." He turned to leave, adding," I'm going back to bed."

But Mr. Scatterbrain stepped in his way, leaving Little Miss Calamity trembling by herself.

"We can't let them deal with this alone," the magenta Mr. Man argued. He glanced at the cloud before turning back to Mr. Grumpy. "We need to stick together."

Little Miss Daredevil walked closer to them. "But I don't see what we can do to stop this guy," she pointed out.

Mr. Small joined them, still holding onto the toy lemur. "I understand that you don't want to get hurt, or worse.." His words trailed off as his eyes flashed with fear, but when he continued, his voice was strong. "But you have to remember, this has to do with all of us now, not just Scarlet or Mr. Nosy and I."

For a moment, Mr. Grumpy didn't reply. Then he asked," What do you mean?"

Pointing up at the cloud, Mr. Small explained," Because of what Tyler has done, everyone who is in Dillydale right now is in danger." He lowered his hand and went on," We need to get together to think of a way to stop him before he does anything else."

"What about that toy?" Little Miss Daredevil looked down at it. "You said he was scared of it, so can't you use it to get him to leave?"

Mr. Small opened his mouth as if to answer, but suddenly someone called out. "Heck of a storm moving in, huh?"

Turning around, Mr. Nosy gasped when he saw Scarlet's body standing on the other side of the street, but he knew from the nasty smirk on her face that it wasn't the friendly red haired girl they met a few days ago.

The short guy, Micheal, hung close behind his friend, eyes fixed on the ground, not even looking up as he followed Tyler across the street. As they got closer, Mr. Nosy saw that Micheal was nervous about something.

But Mr. Nosy looked beyond them at the Little Miss who was following them. He's never seen her before, but he couldn't look away from her. She was a brownish orange color, with a yellow nose, and freckles. She had a bow in her hair which was made up to look like a question mark. He wondered who she was.

Mr. Grumpy took a step forward. "Look, I don't know who you are," he began, eyes narrowing as Tyler stopped in front of him," and I really don't care. But," he went on," can you leave and never return?" His voice was thick with annoyance.

Tyler glared at the blue Mr. Man, but he didn't reply to him. Instead his gaze traveled over all of them, lingering the longest on Mr. Scatterbrain and Little Miss Calamity, and instantly the magenta man hid his girlfriend behind him. "I'm not interrupting something, am I?" His tone was full of mock sympathy.

Tearing his eyes away from the mysterious Little Miss, Mr. Nosy suddenly saw something about Tyler that he didn't notice before. "What happened to Scarlet's necklace?" he asked, taking a step toward Tyler, but he froze when he shot the Mr. Man a glare.

"I've hidden it somewhere." Tyler glanced up at the cloud, and, following his gaze, Mr. Nosy saw that at the center of it a bright red light shone. Each bolt of lightning shot from it, spreading throughout the cloud.

The necklace made the cloud! he realized, shocked that it was that powerful. He knew something wasn't right about it, but he never imagined it could create something so dangerous!

"What do you want?" Little Miss Daredevil asked Tyler.

Tyler turned to her. "I only want Scarlet," he confessed. "My goal was to get her and leave. But now too many of you know about me, so you can thank those two–" He pointed to Mr. Nosy and Mr. Small–" for dragging all of you into this, and I can't have witnesses. By the time I'm ready to leave, there will be nothing left of your town."

Fear shot through Mr. Nosy. "What will happen to everyone who lives here?" he spoke up, but he regretted asking that when a disturbing smile formed on the human's face.

"Let's just say enjoy the short time you have left, instead of trying and failing to stop me," he answered.

As soon as he finished speaking, a boom of thunder filled the air, and Mr. Nosy snapped his head up to see a bolt of lightning striking the road behind them. The earth shook under their feet as the ground split open.

Just in time, Mr. Nosy jumped out of the way before he fell into the large crack that appeared right where he had been standing only a moment before.

He glanced around for his friends, sighing with relief when he saw Mr. Grumpy and Little Miss Daredevil picking themselves up not far from him. Mr. Scatterbrain held on tight to his girlfriend's hand as she stood dangerously close to the edge of the gaping hole, but he yanked her back before she fell in, hugging her and murmuring softly to her.

With a jolt, Mr. Nosy realized that he couldn't see his best friend.

A yell from below split the sudden quiet, and Mr. Nosy turned, horror running through him.

Carefully, Mr. Nosy crawled to the edge of the hole and looked down, spotting Mr. Small holding onto a pipe that stuck out from the side of the earth. WIthout thinking what might happen to him if he slipped and fell in, Mr. Nosy reached into the hole and grabbed his little buddy, pulling him back up and placing him on solid ground.

"Thanks!" the small man gasped, trembling with visible fear.

Mr. Nosy was about to reply, but he suddenly got a strong urge to do something. Before he knew what he was doing, he snatched the toy lemur that his small friend was still holding onto and spun around. Tyler was looking pleased with him, while Micheal stood behind him, avoiding looking at anyone, and the mysterious Little Miss gaze around, eyes hard.

The light green Mr. Man threw the lemur at the red haired human, and as soon as the toy hit him, a light blinded Mr. Nosy and when he could see again, he noticed Tyler stumbling backwards and then falling onto his knees, hiding his face. Then his hands reached for the toy and pulled it close to him. When he looked up, the smugness was gone from his eyes, and now he looked confused and frightened.

"W-What happened?" the human stammered.

Micheal was backing away, shaking his head. "Oh, no, no," he said, eyes wide and scared. "What have you done?" Before anyone could speak or move, the short boy turned and ran off. But the Little Miss stayed, blinking and looking around, clearly confused.

Overhead the storm was calming down, the lightning vanishing and the cloud dissolving. For a moment the red light shone brightly in the sky until it dimmed, but now matter how hard Mr. Nosy looked, he didn't see where the necklace landed; he wasn't even sure if it fell.

We have to find it, before Tyler does, he thought.

Mr. Small walked over to the red haired human. "Scarlet?"

But the kid shook their head. "N-No. My name is Jerry," he replied. He looked closer at Mr. Small and then glanced over at Mr. Nosy. "Hey, I remember you," he said. "You said I was staying with you." He looked around, gasping when he saw the crack in the ground. "W-What h-h-happened?"

Suddenly Mr. Grumpy pushed Mr. Small aside. "This is all your fault," he growled, glaring at Jerry, "You brought that guy here, and he tried to destroy our town!"

Mr. Nosy glanced at the others, noticing they seemed upset with the human as well. He decided to speak up for Jerry when he saw how everyone was scaring him. "This isn't his fault," he insisted, walking over to the personality. "And it's not Scarlet's fault either. Tyler came here on his own. Nobody brought him."

Mr. Scatterbrain and Little Miss Calamity turned puzzled eyes on the light green Mr. Man, while Little Miss Daredevil asked," Isn't this Scarlet?" She pointed to the human.

"This is one of her personalities," Mr. Small explained, and Mr. Nosy was glad that they had been able to tell them about Scarlet's disorder before Tyler showed up. "We had the pleasure of speaking with him for a bit before." Then the small Mr. Man turned to Jerry. "But why did you come out?" he asked. "Where's Scarlet?"

Jerry shrugged and hugged the stuffed animal. Then he froze and looked at Mr. Nosy. "D-Did you say T-T-T-Tyler?"

"Yes." Mr. Nosy took a step toward him. "Do you know him?" He didn't want to scare the nervous personality any more than he was, but his eyes widened with fear.

Mr. Small looked up at Jerry before he could answer. "Can you tell us everything you know about him?"

For a long time Jerry didn't answer. Then he glanced away, putting the lemur in front of his face as if to hide himself. "I don't want to talk about him…" he muttered.

"Besides, don't we know all we need to know about him?" Mr. Grumpy asked, glancing at the others.

Mr. Scatterbrain, Little Miss Calamity, and Little Miss Daredevil nodded.

"He's dangerous," the magenta Mr. Man said.

"And he wanted to destroy our town," his girlfriend added, voice shaking with fear, and she ducked behind Mr. Scatterbrain.

"But he's gone now," Little Miss Daredevil pointed out. "We can all go to bed now." She glanced behind her at the ruined road where more of their friends were starting to gather, dragged out of their houses by the racket. "We can start fixing that tomorrow."

"There's so much more to Tyler than those things," a soft voice said, and everyone turned to Jerry. He hugged the toy tighter, still hiding his face, but his voice revealed his fear. "And he's not gone. He will return and he will be stronger." He looked up at all the Mr. Men and Little Misses with huge eyes. "When he does come back, he will make what he did look like nothing, and you will regret ever getting in his way."

As he spoke, everyone moved closer to listen, and they were starting to freak out, asking what to do. Mr. Nosy noticed the mysterious Little Miss murmuring something to the closest group beside her, but they looked at her, a stranger among them. But most seemed more worried about Tyler.

Mr. Small's voice distracted Mr. Nosy from the Little Miss, and he turned to see Mr. Small staring up at the human. "Can you please help us, Jerry?" the small man begged him. "If you do, then you will be saving many lives."

All fell silent as everyone waited to hear what the human's answer would be. It was several long moments before finally Jerry lowered the toy lemur, looking around with uncertainty. But when he spoke, his answer was: "Okay, I'll help you."
