And now, in the third part of the war... The Dogs have begun to hatch their plans in the battle...but with the raging healing storms, the glow from a magic song, and now the unexpected arrival of the monster forces, they'll have to move quickly... it's looking close for either side...who will prevail?

Chapter 42

The Battle for Feoh - Part 3

Free knight's command tower...

Most of the invaders were killed because they found that the knights' skills were too much to handle. However, despite them being pushed back...the Fatigue on the gold knights was becoming more evident the harder the dogs pushed to get in.

"Damn! Where are those reinforcements!?" one of the dogs screamed, a bolt piercing his skull after.

An Orc walked forward before lifting his great axe as the wind began to be sucked in, he then swung downward, releasing a powerful wave.

Many of the knights there scrambled to get out of the way, a few getting hit and eviscerated with that slash, giving a clear path for the invaders...

But, they all saw the Dark Elf woman sought by the dogs, with a dagger hovering near her heart.

"I know why you're here..." she said calmly.

Hicks who had been leading that charge, walked forward with a smirk, "Oh Good~, that makes this easier...and..." pointing at the dagger, "How's that supposed to help you? It's smaller than most of my throwing daggers!" he laughed, getting the other dogs to laugh with him.

"Even if it's way bigger than the dagger between your legs? it's a magical one that can extend with a speed that is faster than you in bed." the Dark Elf woman answered, "The moment one of you touches me in any way... you'll have to deal with the wrath of Niall."

The crowd was silent after that, whether it was the fact that she roasted Hicks or the fact that what she said was true, Remained unknown...The scout gave a click with his teeth, "Oh really now? From where I'm standing, Niall's not close enough for that threat to hit and if he is here, then I guarantee the men at the gate are keeping him busy enough..." drawing a dagger, "And Lucky for you, our boss gave us orders not to kill or have our way with you...yet...your husband has to take the knee first..." he sneered, "So do come quietly...or not, it just makes it fun for the rest of us!"

"I see... you're a small kid who's afraid to lose, now that explains everything." she sighed, "Acting like you're a man while trying to hide how much of a weakling you are... pathetic."

Hicks sighed with a grin, "That's a shame...and also not smart...I was hoping we could peacefully bring you there, but as I said before, this works just fine," his grin curving to a dark smirk, "Boys, take her prisoner and do mind the face,"

Both the mercs and monsters with him were chuckling, surrounding her sides, each one baring a twisted grin...before the first assailant, that being an imp, swooped at her with its dagger raised.

"Gonna wish you kept your mouth shut!" The imp laughed.

"Futos" a small whisper was heard as the Imp fell lifeless on the ground, "Unfortunately for you, my element is Death..." she gave them an empty stare before sighing, "But I know when I should stop... if you promise that you'd leave these knights alone... I'll follow you. But, if you try to touch me, this dagger won't lose time."

Hicks held a hand up, stopping the men and monsters, "Hold on boys...Those are your terms?" raising an eyebrow, smirking, "Very well, we won't finish the rest of these piss knights off, long as they don't follow us..."

She looked at the knights who had begun to help their comrades into the tower. Once they were all in, they barricaded the door.

"Now, do remember that touching me or the dagger, would trigger it to take my life." the Dark Elf pointed.

The scout nodded, "Of course, I'm not one to show up to my boss empty-handed," stepping aside, his forces following suit, "After you~"

As she went with them, the tower began to glow bright until it disappeared.

One of the mercs spotted that with a shocked expression, "W-what?! The tower! it just disappeared!"

"It doesn't matter...we got who we were looking for, now it's just a matter of getting her back to the boss..." Hicks said, glancing back to find it gone.

The woman said nothing as she knew that her plan would work.

Main gate

As the invaders were being pushed back, Traysek noticed a knight from Niall's men rushing toward them.

He frowned at his approach until he spotted a centaur riding towards him with his spear raised, gritting his teeth 'Shit...! he's chargin' on him!' taking a deep breath, "Wuld, NA KEST!" rocketing towards the knight.

The knight widens his eyes before rolling forward.

He zipped into the Centaur with a devastating thrust, going straight through its abdomen and out the back, charging the magic in his spear, before slicing out, removing his torso from his body, both halves falling over.

Traysek sighed in relief, offering a hand to the gold knight, "Got your back there friend,"

"It's about Lady Kolne..." the knight said as he accepted Traysek's hand, "The Commander needs to hear it..."

"Whoa whoa! slow down, who's this "Lady Kolne"? you'll have to forgive me, I've yet to be familiar with folks here," Traysek chuckled, helping him up.

"It's... the Commander's wife..." The knight was more afraid than anything, and his fear was toward Niall.

The Redguard's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, "T-the command-Niall's Wife...? they took her? Shit..." he hissed glancing over him, running an orc through with his spear, "Oh boy... he's gonna be pissed...I'll uh, pass the word, you seem shaken enough already, and we're kinda friendly, he and I," nervously smiling with a small sweat drop.

The knight didn't wait for long, dashing away, "I'll remember your sacrifice!"

Traysek waved at the knight with the same expression, "Yeah...sure..." turning to the direction Niall was fighting in, "Alrighty...time to deliver some bad news..." heading there with a sigh.

Niall brutally decapitated a Dog, before cleaving two Orcs with one strike, "C'mon lads! One final push!"

While on his way, the Redguard evaded a flying arrow from an imp, returning fire with chain lightning, frying him out of the sky... He then spots an orc trying to get the better of Niall, taking a leap and going for the orc with both spear and sword held, impaling him with both when he landed on him, surprising the commander.

"Oi commander! Long time no see!" Traysek grinned, pulling both weapons out of the dead orc, shaking them of blood.

"Oh, the lad from that time!" Niall grinned while cleaving a group of Dogs.

"That's right! I'm surprised you remembered me, I couldn't be happier," The Redguard said while lunging his sword backward, piercing through the heart of an unglowing holy knight, while the flying spear deflected another blow from a merc and with a quick swipe it took his head off, "Unfortunately, the news I carry, isn't as such...I think the enemy's trying to make a power play because one of yours just told me they took your wife!"

There was a small silence before a red thunder fell on Niall. Covered with a red thundering coat and a frosty aura, the commander began to walk toward the enemy's camp, freezing anything in his way.

The Redguard blinked twice with a shocked expression, 'Yikes...that's him angry...? Gods he's up there with Dargo with that I see...still...' he whistled, calling the dragon who was shaking a screaming black dog in its maws like a chew toy, only to toss away the merc and fly to him... He Climbed on and ordered the mount to follow the enraged commander.

when the dragon ended up next to him, Traysek looked down, "I can get you there faster, need a ride?" offering his hand with a knowing smirk.

However, it was like his words were said to the wind as Niall was unresponsive, freezing any attacker, turning into dust soon after.

"Or not..." The Redguard said, with a shocked expression, 'Check that...he's way scarier than Dargo... That said, this does give me another objective...right now I doubt he'll take the time to search for her...that part I can do and..." glancing around the battlefield, 'With the enemy's numbers dwindled significantly since the deaths of their officers, I don't think Greil'll mind given the circumstances...' he glanced towards Greil who was still fighting, "Greil! Something's come up! I'm off to help Niall, they're attempting power play and Kidnapped his wife to do it, gonna see if I can get her from them, are you good here?" he called out, the dragon taking flight.

"Good luck with that!" Greil replied, "I'll take care of the rest here!"

Traysek nodded, "Good luck to you too! Hyah!" he shouted, ordering the dragon to take off and head towards the enemy camp.

at a small camp...

Volt was waiting with a smirk, 'Those boys should be back with our bargaining chip by now...did I send too little, no, couldn't have...' he mused, as one of the mercs ran up to him, "What is it?"

"Hicks is back!" the merc pointed to the coming group with the pregnant Dark Elf.

Upon seeing her, the black dog leader sneered, "My oh my~ what do we have here?~" standing up and started circling her, "Who would've guessed the commander's woman is dark beauty, and I gotta say, he's got quite the taste!" nodding in approval, noticing the baby bump, "Ah...and you've one on the way, how about that boys? you brought me a two for one deal!" he laughed, along with his men.

"If you're done hiding your insecurities, you'd better be prepared..." the Dark Elf looked at him dead in the eyes, "Death is on its way... and nothing can stop him now. not even your pathetic skills."

The men went silent, as Volt raised an eyebrow, "Oh? You mean your husband...? Well, dearie~ that's why we didn't harm a single hair on your head...and if everything plays out well, we won't..." narrowing his eyes, "But the way you're going about it...it's like you know he's here already..."

"The moment your forces approached the tower, someone ran to inform him..." she answered, "Therefore, he might be closer than you think."

"Incompetent idiot..." a growl was heard as everyone turned and looked at someone who approached Volt.

Volt raised an eyebrow, "What? And how exactly am I incompetent, Rogrys? I already had someone do something about the knights!"

The Orc who was with Volt at the fort walked in the light before scowling, "This was supposed to be stealthy, and here you are revealing your plan to the enemy."

"It was stealthy, we're in a hidden camp, and there would be no way Niall could find us unless-" Volt paused going wide-eyed, glancing at the wife, "-She's trailing him here...is that what you're doing...? Is that why you came so willingly?"

"Not really." the Dark Elf smiled, "Let's just say that the connection between us is deep."

"Instead of taking her here, you could have tried to take her somewhere that isn't our true main camp!" the orc roared, "Xhuunakt promised us that you're competent, where's that competence now?"

"It's not over yet! we still have the fort close to here, this camp wasn't long term and then there's Beasley who I still haven't heard anything from...which I should probably check on," getting up from the chair.

"What did you ask him to do exactly?" Rogrys asked.

"Beasley, I believe was supposed to get rid of the current rulers here, since we failed to convince Alicia to surrender, then getting rid of her parents will be what it takes, might even make a show out of her mother, he's always hated the queen after all..." Volt chuckled, "While I check on him, I'm leaving the woman in your hands, no doubt the commander will be here for her and you did say you wanted the blood of a strong opponent...I believe you'll get your chance today," with a grin.

"Oh my, what a courageous man who tries to escape his responsibilities." the Dark Elf woman giggled.

Volt scoffed, "You're not going to goad me into fighting your monster of a husband! I've seen what that can do on the battlefield and I'm not interested in getting my bones turned to powder! Hicks, let's go," heading out of the tent.

"You got it boss," turning to the woman, "It's a shame we really couldn't play together...oh well~" following his boss out...

"I'm not that interested in playing with a toothpick." she sighed, "So small that I'm not sure if I can imagine feeling it."

Rogrys was trying his best to hold his laughter.

Over the campsite...

Traysek finally arrived at their main camp, spotting Volt, Hicks, and a few of his men leaving, heading somewhere, making him frown.

'The hell's he off to? eh..whatever, he's not the objective right now anyway, and it's not like I can't always track him down later...' He noted, looking around, finding a spot near the main tent, "Take them there and hover, I'll go down myself!" he ordered.

The dragon obeyed, flying close and remaining over the air as the Redguard jumped off, "Stay in flight, if I need anything I'll whistle..."

The mount took to the skies after and began to fly in a circle above the camp...once on the ground, Traysek quickly moved to cover, hiding from a couple of passing mercs behind a pile of barrels...

'Okay...the main tent should be here somewhere...it should be the largest one out of all them,' scanning around, until he spotted it, unguarded, 'There we are, but there's no guards here...why...? Hmm...' going to it and entering...

He found armed mercs and a couple of Orcs had jagged axes.

The Redguard raised an eyebrow, "Oh? I figured when I saw him leave, I didn't think the mutt left guards behind, interesting..." spotting an orc with familiar markings, "Your marks, I almost recognize them, I've seen the same on my friend Bruk'daz...you're from his former clan aren't you?"

The Orc growled as the Dog mercenaries charged forward.

"Tiiid, Klo Ul...!" Traysek uttered, eyes shadowed over as time slowed down to a still, moving to quickly eviscerate the attackers, targeting vitals and openings with deadly slashes in the form of a spin, finishing his bloody dance with strong vertical slash...

Time resumed with a fountain of blood being the reward, shaking off both his spear and sword, looking up at the orc with eyes aglow, "That was...rather rude...and here I was trying to introduce myself,"

"It seems like someone doesn't know where he is..." a voice said as another Orc, skinnier and armed with claws walked forward, "Only a fool would throw himself in the enemy's net."

He cut his slit glowing eyes to him, smiling, "Or...someone looking for TRUE challenge because these "cut-mes" sure aren't providing it..." motioning to the dead mercs, "But I think you can...I can feel the pressure of your power from here, even baring the same markings..." lowering his weapons, "As for why I'm here, I'm here for the lady...I owe The commander, her husband a great debt for saving the necks of my crew and I...and I'm here to pay up, even in the enemy's net..." giving him a smirk, "But you, Warrior...what are you and your clan gaining by helping a man like Volt? I'm sure by now, you're aware of his cowardice,"

"Chieftain's orders, not mine." the Orc replied, "Besides, we have a win-win situation by using him to our advantage."

Traysek slowly nodded at that, "So you're all using him... Well, I Can't be mad at that, he makes it too damn easy for anyone willing to capitalize on that...and do we need to say why?" with a knowing smirk, "At least That answers why your "helping" but not what's gained after, and I don't think it's a base need...Come on, what is it? ancient treasure? forbidden weapons or maybe rites to a clan? I'm sure he's promised something to you...and I'm curious on what that is...not that I'll gain anything from it, but it does help to know these things,"

"Besides the competence, which he seriously lacks, we asked for blood." the Orc replied, "I don't even know why I told you, there's nothing to win in doing it..." he then exhaled before looking at the Dragonborn, "I've heard of you; mocking, dishonorable, loathsome... Volt didn't hold back with the description."

"I wouldn't hope not...But I assume he's left out the why..." The Redguard sighed, "I only mock those deserving of it, and he does and I DON'T respect him...Not after everything he's done...Not after the weakness he's displayed...I can't...he's got no sense of loyalty or honor, a little would help, but he's got none and this coming from a criminal...so in return, he's not worthy of it at all..." His smile returned, "But you on the other hand...you might be...Despite you working together, your goals don't truly align...you're more loyal to your clan and Xunaakt than you are to him and I can respect that...you're also going for the blood of the strongest foes, and there is honor in that..." slowly nodding after "Yeah, I think I'm going to like you... what's your name, warrior?"

"Xunaakt didn't earn our loyalty." the Orc spat, "We joined him only to have more allies to push back our enemies in the south, and he promised that. It was the chieftain's decision, and I respect the chieftain. But Volt, Xunaakt, their plans... I find it disgusting." after taking a deep breath he added, "The name's Rogrys."

"As do I...apologies for the misunderstanding, Rogrys," Traysek apologized before giving a slight bow, "I'm Traysek the Red Dragon, or the Dragonborn, and nice to meet you...that said, I have a proposal...since you seek strong enemies, and I'm looking for a challenge myself, I'll take you on, one-on-one, and since it's blood you seek...please, feel free to take as much as you like...if you can that is..." with a smirk, "But I prefer outside of here, the idea of me swinging a weapon around a woman carrying, doesn't sit well with me...and I don't think Niall would like that too much,"

"I don't care." he then turned to the other two, "Go back and prepare the ritual." the Orcs nodded before going away.

Traysek frowned up that, 'Ritual...huh? what kind...? Hmm...I'll have to stay on my toes here...got a feeling that'll be more than I hoped to bite down on...but...' grinning when he remembered something, 'I'm not exactly unprepared either though...and since I've spent most of the war keeping forces busy, I don't have to hold back too much here...' he nodded, "Very well," backstepping out, "When you're outside, I'll be ready..." in a more chilling tone.

Rogrys took a deep breath before the blood in the tent began to flow within him, "Not strong, but enough for me to use." he then stepped out.

Traysek took a deep breath, drawing energy from the ground, drawing flames, and imbuing them into him, while the spear floated, grabbing it when he was finished, watching his opponent step out with a grin, "Now that we're past pleasantries...your move!" taking a defense stance with both.

Battle theme: I'm my own master now - Mgrr ost

The Orc crouched before disappearing with blinding speed, leaving only a shadow at his emplacement as he had his claw ready to screw through Traysek.

The Redguard's eyes shadowed over, the smile remaining, doing the same crouch when the blow came and disappeared without leaving a shadow behind, coming at him from above with a cross slash.

Rogrys turned into blood before also appearing above Traysek, going for a godspeed piercing attack.

"WULD!" he quickly shouted, rocketing away from the blow, barely dodging it as sparks flew...using the spear to keep himself from sliding any further and leaving a crystal trail... He gave a harsh stomp, unearthing Crystal trail before, "FUS!" blasting the line shards at the orc.

Rogrys roared with a shockwave that deviated from the trajectory of the shards.

'Much like the Thu'um, his roar blew them away, impressive...' He thought, his eyes aglow as he lunged forward, quickly closing the distance with rapid thrusts from the spear.

The Orc backstepped carefully before finding an opening for a rapid set of swipes with the claws.

Traysek stopped his attack to evade a couple, a few catching the heavier pieces of armor and getting bright sparks, managing to catch one with the parry of his spear, knocking the blow away, before pushing the orc back with a kick, jumping back, "YOL, TOOR SHUL!" spitting a large gout of flame at his opponent.

Rogrys turned again into blood before disappearing, this time, he emerged from beneath the ground, one claw ready to shred Traysek's face.

With a quick swipe, Traysek deflected the blow away from his face with the sword this time, and retaliated with an overcharged thrust, the blast nearly crystalizing the orc as he was sent back, while the former landed, 'He's tough...and his speed and teleportation is nothing to laugh at...and that's twice he's nearly coined fatal blows, not to mention the chunks he's taken from this armor and I thought Bruk'daz made me nervous...' taking a deep breath, letting his spear float, freeing his other hand, taking another stance, 'Still, this is refreshing compared to the one-hit kills back there,' leaving his open hand completely free 'Let's see how he deals with a switch up...'

"Not bad." Rogrys complimented, "You can give the champion of the Tribe a run for his gold. But I have my own objective in this battle... I guess that I need to get a bit more serious than I was before." Blood began to appear on his skin before that he moved faster than he used to.

Traysek narrowed his eyes, having a hard time tracking the orc, taking a deep breath, his world slowing down as the orc got closer, coming from an angle, and countering the blow with his swing, clashing sword with claws followed by the shockwave, both weapons glowing a deadly crimson...

"Hmm...that power of yours is no joke, you're starting to make me sweat here," giving a large stomp, causing a shockwave that distorted the ground, and leaping back and sent the spear flying in wheel towards Rogrys, taking a breath, "YOL" coating the spinning spear in flame.

Rogrys disappeared again before appearing both above and below Traysek, going for a piercing attack.

The Redguard hardened his defense, a firey cloak quickly emerging as both attacks struck it, reflecting the damage, causing the second orc to disappear, and using that window to recall the enflamed spear, which spun towards his back while going for a thrust with the sword.

However, Traysek felt pain on his nape as Rogrys disappeared, revealing himself to be a clone.

*Song end*

The Redguard stumbled, nearly dropping his sword...He frowned and checked the back of his neck, feeling something warm in his fingers to confirm it was indeed blood he brought his hand back, at first he didn't know what to make of it, staring it with his slit eyes, until he sighed, closing them and his hand, a smile on his face, "Well played~ tell you the truth, I didn't know they were both clones," turning back around with them normal, "You wield that magic well, I'm envious, I can't use it like that, makes detecting you nearly impossible, good blow, if it were my other men, you'd bested them for sure,"

"My goal isn't to kill, but to collect." the Orc stated as a huge amount of Traysek's blood was floating, "And thanks to you, the Bloodseekers might stop this timewasting crusade initiated by Xunaakt."

"Really now? From that alone?" With a raised eyebrow, waving him down, "Well, it's not for me to ask, I know you clans have your secrets and traditions and I did say, "take it if you could" and you did just that...as well as provide a good pretty damn good fight... to the victor the spoils," he grinned, steam coming from his neck as the wound closed rapidly, "May it provide you with what you need, but if it helps and you can rub it in his face, he's lost to your exile before you got this, let that sit in..." with a chuckle.

"Of course that he'd lose." Rogrys scoffed, "He's weak, using only those weapons given to him by that human to appear strong."

Traysek sighed, "Yeah...heard about the guy who's making them, Gideon I believe...he's someone you oughta watch back around, even after free..." hearing the sounds of thunder, and then a rush of frozen winds, turning to the direction finding Niall slowly approaching in the distance, "That said, dealing with a dragon's rage is one thing but...that rage is another..." watching everything around him disintegrate from frost, "But, if you and your clan ever need help with getting loose and my blood isn't my friends and I will be in town for a few weeks, once we get set up, don't be a stranger,"

"I'll keep that in mind." Rogrys nodded before disappearing into a puddle of blood, taking the blood he collected from Traysek.

Traysek smiled, stretching after that, sheathing the sword and recalling the spear to his side, 'That was a tough battle, but he wasn't that bad of a guy, I hope it goes well for him, they need it...'

"Well, that was quite the fight." a voice said as the Dark Elf woman stepped out.

He chuckled, walking up to her, "You witnessed that huh? Sorry that took a while, I was having a bit of fun there, you seemed okay when I got here though," giving her an overall look, "So...you're the wife my buddy went crazy for... Can't say I blame him, would've done the same," with an approving nod.

"Well, I'd better go see him and let him know that I'm alright." she began to walk and then turned, "By the way, the name's Kolne Sol, champion of the God of Death."

Traysek had a surprised look, "No shit? You're his champion? I'm surprised they were even able to pull that off, guess that explains that weird dagger floating at your chest," he concluded," Regardless it's nice meeting you Kolne, like I said back there, the names Traysek. I'm here with the dark army today, one of his knights came running into the battlefield to get that to him. I caught him, that's how I knew...and since I owed Niall anyway, this was due..." he shrugged, "And I had hoped to run into Volt, who I just saw leave before landing, no idea where he went though... and that concerns me..."

"From what I heard, there are three targets." Kolne pointed, "They were called; Primary targets to take alive. As well as making sure that the throne is empty."

Traysek raised an eyebrow, "Wait whoa...three targets? and a throne? I'm a bit lost, I thought Volt's goal was only to get Alicia to surrender, who are the other two contenders? I'd say Prim, but that's who you mean, is it?"

"Well, I'm one of the targets." Kolne pointed with a smile, "The second being the Princess Prim, and the third target is the daughter of the minister of finances. As for the throne, you can say that he doesn't want to see it occupied for now."

"Ah got It now...they grabbed you because they thought you would be a piece to use...and they're willing to do the same to the other two...got it, and as for the throne, since Alicia isn't queen yet..." Traysek went into thought, "Her parents are still alive aren't they...?"

Kolne nodded, "They are. A bit annoying, but nothing can be done to remedy that."

"Unless that's what his intent is...if the idea is to ensure the throne is empty then yeah, he's gonna go for them...as well as the other two targets, I doubt prim's in any danger, but...that other one, now that one I could send somebody to look into..." glancing up at the elf, "Thank you Kolne, I've got a good grip on what they're going for now...I can find the royals, but the other daughter, I'll see who can, I'm sure someone's free..." noticing Niall in the distance, "Speaking of which..." motioning towards the commander closing in.

Upon seeing her, the air around Niall calmed as they ran to embrace each other.

The Redguard couldn't help but smile at the reunion, frowning when he noticed the storm getting weaker, 'Damn...I figured that was gonna start happening, the storm is starting to wane, which means, once these skies clear up that advantage will be gone...and so will the pressure on our enemies,' narrowing his eyes at the rumbling sky.

After a while, Niall picked her up and said, "Thank you for your help..." softly before leaping away.

He closed his eyes with a sigh, "No further words needed, You're welcome Commander, take care of her...' glancing around himself, 'now then, time to call in...' going for his calling stone.

Back at the main gate...

Greil cleaved the last Dog as the rest either fled or surrendered.

"How's everyone!" he called as some soldiers ran to him.

"There were many casualties." one of them said, "But there's still more enemies in the castle."

"That would be our next target." Greil pointed the castle with one of his axes

Soon after, A call came through his callstone, prompting him to answer it...

"Yes?" Greil answered.

"Greil, it's Traysek, I've succeeded In freeing the commander's wife, but I've got new intel on that regard..." Traysek's voice chimed through.

"That's good to hear." Greil said, "We finished here. All that's left is to secure the castle that's taken by the Holy forces."

"I'm glad to hear it, guessing they finally caught on,' Traysek complimented, 'Turns out, Kolne, the wife, was just one of a few pieces they needed to end the war in their favor...Princess Prim is a target too, along with the daughter of a finance minister which I'll send someone to handle...right now, I'm headed to the royal castle... I found out what Beasely's been up to during all this...he intends to kill the current rulers here...that's why I find it ironic you're heading here as well,'

"Therefore, we'd need to make haste." Greil took a deep breath, "I will trust the matter of the Minister's daughter to you. I need to direct the forces to go there."

'Very well, since there's plenty of us all over the city, I can see who's closer...for now, I'll see you there,' Traysek said, ending the call.

"I wish you good luck," Greil said.

Over Feoh Airspace...

As The Dragon neared the castle, Traysek still held the call stone, "Hello Traysek calling in, I just got new objectives and I need someone or "someones" who are available,"

"Inigo, Erik, and I are still helping survivors, maybe Recorder could help? She did take care of the officers and the supplies with Dargo," Lucien's voice clicked on, "What's the situation now?"

"There's a daughter to the minister of finances that may have been kidnapped by the dogs, I'd handle it myself, but it's far from where I'm going...I'll need someone to take care of that," Traysek laid out.

"Unless it's on the way, I don't think we can at the moment, we've enlisted with a Rescue team right after we took care of the officers..." Record added in.

"I would take a look, but with the wounded coming in frequently as they are now, *huff* the medic team needs all the help they can get...over here!" Yuri shouted after.

"I can take a look at that, sir, I haven't been able to contact Zephyr and I'm searching for her at the moment, I suppose I can put that to a pause..." Erik's voice came next.

"Are you sure Erik? She has been dark for a while..."

"I'm certain sir...this is war after all...right? I'm sure she's okay...I'll find this girl," Erik said in a low tone.

Traysek sighed deeply, with a facepalm, "Alright Erik, I'm leaving this to you...but..if you do find Zephyr out there and she is in a bad way, tend to her first...understood?"

"Without a question sir...I'll check in when I'm done..." The Nord assured.

"And what are you doing currently, my friend?" Inigo's voice came up.

"I'm headed to the castle, I need to confirm if the current rulers are still breathing or not, Alicia's parents...so that should be a fun meet and greet..." the Redguard chuckled.

"Best of luck to you on that, DB..." Recorder nervously chuckled on the other end.

"I'll try..." Traysek scoffed, "That said, I'm close now, I'll have to cut this short, for those still on their current jobs, keep going and you Yuri...? I heard that heavy breathing, take it easy...if no one's stopped you by now..."

"They already tried, twice now..." She sighed...

"Well if they come a third time, take the advice, alright? there's more than enough to take over for a while...don't overdo it..." The Redguard berated, "That said, God's blessings on you all," hanging up the stone, as the dragon headed towards the castle tower...

With Erik, southern gate...

The Nord tucked away the crystal, continuing his search, 'Now that the storm has happened and the fires are out, some of those paths are finally open...might be able to find her on my way with this all open...now... he mentioned that they've got someone, so that'll mean I'm either carriage or a convoy...I'll see if I can find either one first...' heading down to left charred path...

There were a lot of bodies, around 19. However, one of the bodies was different... to the point where it froze Eric.

It was Zephyr, lying in a pool of blood, leaving him in a trance, not believing what he was seeing, "Z-zephyr...? Hey!" snapping out of it and going to check on her, finding large open lumps of flesh that oozed blood when he touched it, "By the gods... who did this to you?!" checking her back, finding the armor to be punctured through, "Son of bitch... someone got you from behind...? gods, no...please tell me your still there!" checking for a pulse, finding it to be there, but very weak, "Good... you're still here...just keep hanging on, alright? I'm gonna call for help," going for his crystal, "Eric calling in! I repeat Erik calling in! I found Zephyr, and she's down, someone made a fucking mess out of her!"

"Shit...that's why she went dark...Gods Erik...tell me is she...?" Traysek's voice clicked on.

"She's still alive, but I need a medic team now! she's been run through the godsdamned back and it's going all the way through!" Erik in a panicked voice.

"Wait...what does this wound look like exactly...? been strange wounds on the monsters that have been coming here injured,'

Erik checked the wound again, grimacing at it, "It's a large sword wound from the back to the front with the flesh lumped over where it exited..."

'Gods...she got hit the same knight or dog then...okay, I'll let the medic team know to head there, in the meantime, you need to find a way to seal that wound until they get there..." Yuriana pointed.

"I know how to bandage a wound, and I'm in the southern part of the city, I'll put my scouter on so you'll know where to send them..." Erik breathed, "Thank you, Yuri..."

"Thank me after we all make it out of this...you're welcome though..." She said, the line clicking.

"I'll resume the other mission once I patch her up, boss, I was on my way until I saw...that..." The Nord sighed, glancing at her.

"No need to explain, I'll be waiting on the results of your other mission..." Traysek stated before the line clicked, ending the call.

Wasting no time, the nord quickly got Zephyr into a building, a tavern that was cleared out once the attack started, carrying her over to a table, knocking everything off, and gently lying her there, he quickly undid the straps to her cuirass, before gently removing it, setting it on the chair "Don't worry, the medic team will be here soon, for now, let's see if I can stop that bleeding..." sitting his backpack down and rummaging through it, coming out with bandages, a bottle, a cloth, and a scrolls, sitting them on the counter...going for the cloth and bottle first, dipping the former into the bottle and going over to her, 'One way to know for sure If you're still alive...here goes...'

There was a noise as a Dog entered the store.

"Fucking hell, that old man really loves to annoy me..." he sighed before noticing Eric, "The fuck are you? Clearly not someone with Volt and his posse."

Erik narrowed his eyes, noticing the glow, "I'm NOT with him...and from the looks of it, neither are you actually..." raising an eyebrow, "I can't say I expected one his to ever have that on them..." sighing after, "Name's Erik the slayer, and I'm in the middle of trying to close up a deadly wound,"

"The name's Andre." the Dog answered, "Was sent from the northern part of the city to help someone. Can't say no to the boss."

Erik eyed him for a moment, "Huh Since I know Volt isn't the type to send someone to help someone during all of this, I'm going to assume you're working for someone else on our side...in that case, I'll need help with her..." going back to the wound and dabbing it with the cloth to clean it.

"Still, you'd need to stabilize the wound after cleaning it." Andre stated as he began to look around, "Your best chance would be to close it with something that can stop the circulation of blood."

"Like Cauterizing the wound, that's why I was carefully cleaning it before then," Erik nodded, finishing with the front wound, before gently turning her to the side, gently cleaning that side next, watching her wince every time the cloth touched it, "She was run through from the back, and I had wondered why she'd gone dark...now I know why...gods..."

"Must be a Holy Knight." Andre stated, "If it was one of Volt's boys, they'd have taken her alive and unharmed. And, that wound is too precise."

Erik froze for a second until he went back to dab cleaning the wound on her back, "Holy knight huh...that would make sense, and only one is coming to mind...if it's who I think it is...he better hope he doesn't run into me..." pulling a steel dagger from his hip, sitting it on the table, "Got something to help with the cauterizing, it hasn't been used either," pointing it out to the Dog.

"Try doing that, I'll go check for any booze." Andre pointed at the dagger, "The blades need to be purified from anything before heating it."

"Gotcha," finishing the cleaning, leaving her comfortably on her sides, while he went to go do that, taking the bottle of liquor and pouring a bit, to clean the dagger, heading over to the flame when the blade dried, letting it heat up until the blade lit up, heading back to her, as Andre came back.

"Now, let's see if she'd need the alcohol." Andre said as he began to tap her, "That's bad... she's already numb... must be the loss of blood."

"Means she's about go shock soon, we'll need to close this up quickly," The Nord said, grabbing the scroll and going for the back wound, "First thing's first, gotta do something the deep hole and I'm lucky I had this," opening the scroll, getting a healing hand spell in place of it, placing his hand on her back, a golden light going over her as he held it, the wound healing from within, however since this was scrolled magic, it didn't last that long, going out after a few minutes...

Erik checked the wound to find that it was less deep than it was, but still worrisome enough for him to grab the heated blade next, applying it to her back first, getting a sizzling sound as the flesh mended under the heat.

Andre held her hands as he said, "Beginning to warm up, which means that she's gaining blood... good, all that we need is to do that trick again to make sure that the wound doesn't close the wrong way."

"Yeah, I should have another scroll in there, it should do the trick," The Nord breathed, going for his backpack, coming out with another scroll, opening it, and using it for the exit wound, once again holding it until the wound was no longer lumpy looking from the front, reduced to a slit, repeating the same cauterization process, watching sweat form on her bead, until the wound was burned closed, "What's it looking like now?" going for the bottle and cloth.

"Now someone needs to watch over her until real medics come here to do their job." the fake Dog pointed, "What we did is just temporary, but her chances to survive have increased."

Erik sighed in relief, wiping the sweat from his brow, "Right...I expected that..still thank the gods for that..." he huffed, "A medic team should be on their way, I was told from a friend she'd have them sent them here,"

"Should be good for now." Andre sighed with relief, "Need help with anything else before I get back?"

The Nord frowned, when he remembered, "Come to think of it, yeah...I was supposed to be tracking down the daughter of the finance minister on my boss's orders, and then...well...I find Zephyr like that, I couldn't leave her out there..." he said, stroking her hair.

"The little Martha?" Andre raised an eyebrow, "She's fine. Had her hidden not far from here."

"What? You've found and hid her? I mean that's great news, but how? By now I figured she would've been taken," Erik said with a raised eyebrow while wrapping Zephyr's wounds.

"Was going to wait until there were fewer people to get her away... but that song made me glow... which ended in an annoying fight with ten other Dogs." Andre sighed, "I'd be damned if I let someone as young and innocent as her with those scumbags."

Erik chuckled, "Damn...so you were covert and the song gave you away, that had to suck...but I understand you not leaving her there though, I don't think anyone with a heart could man..." finishing up with the wrapping, "Still, I'll need to confirm her safety after this, my boss is looking for clarification there and knowing how he is, if she's safe enough, he'll be okay with it, but at least he'll know..."

"There's a jewelry store north of here." Andre pointed with his thumb, "The sign shows a golden bird carrying a ring. That's the place where she is."

The Nord nodded, "Okay, I'll check it out once they come for her, but for now," glancing down at her, "I think she's gonna make it..."

Moments after, Inigo and his rescue team come into the building that Erik and Andre were in, bringing a stretcher...

"Inigo? where's the medic the team?" Erik asked confused.

"They're pretty preoccupied right now with the wounded dark forces with stab wounds in the back, and some didn't even make it from what we got from Yuri..." noticing the black dog there, narrowing his eyes until he saw the glow, "Wait...you look like a black dog and yet, you're glowing like the rest us here...what's more..." sniffing at him, "You don't have the same vile smell as they do..."

The Nord sighed, "This is my friend and comrade, Inigo...he's part of the rescue effort like I am," turning to the khajiit, "And this is Andre, he's been helping me patch up Zephyr..."

"I know what people think when they first see me, and to be honest... I'm not blaming them." Andre sighed before adding, "Still, this glowing thing helped me in a way... not to get killed on sight..."

The blue khajiit chuckled, "And those without the glow are the ones we're to target so, lucky you, my friend, and do not worry about appearances, you've been helping and we appreciate that," turning to Erik, "That said, we'll take care of Zephyr, you need to make sure that daughter's okay,"

"Right, I'll get to doing that, Andre just told me she's in a safe place, but I'll still need to confirm that," Erik pointed out, "I'll...leave this to you...just be careful alright?"

"Of course my friend, but seriously you do need to go, " Inigo waved, as the Nord started packing his things, and grabbed his shield and ax.

"I'll show you where she is," Andre said.

"Alright, then lead the way," Erik nodded, following him out.

Near the royal castle...

Rey approached the castle, having taken down monsters and Dogs alike. On his way, he managed to get an additional force of four knights who joined him and Marquel.

"We're nearly there, if they've already gotten in, this would be the time for them to," Rey pointed, as they continued towards it.

"Gates on sight!" Marquel pointed to the closed gates.

"I see it, hold on," Reynold said, stopping them as he spotted a large glowing dragon land on the upper castle, "Looks like we're not the only ones here...it's that dragon from the main gate..."

One of the Holy Knights in the castle looked at the group and shouted, "Who are you?!"

Rey held his hands up, "Whoa! we're reinforcements! we heard the enemy was pushing here, came to assist!"

"Finally!" the knight smiled, "Open the gate! Our allies are here!"

The gates lifted, with six knights walking through, joined by the knight who greeted them...

"So what's the situation here? from what we just went through in the city, I can't imagine any better here," Rey pointed, "And I think I just saw a dragon with its rider on your upper walls,"

"Another one?! Damn! We're already having some problems with one! This is just perfect!" the older knight began to grump before turning to Rey, "We still had to secure the safety of Lady Alicia and Lady Prim, every man that we send never comes back."

Rey nodded, "I would imagine, and since that song' been going on, we've been getting hunted left and right," looking around at the wounded, "By Celestine...what's the status on the royal family?"

"Both princesses were taken hostages by the assassins," the knight answered, "As for the King and Queen... they're in the royal chambers with the rest of the ministers...We've already sent a few men to protect them,"

"Prim...okay, I can free her from those, and if we find the rider we'll deal with them too, most likely another Kletzkreig, they're here like an infestation today, usually don't see many of them..." Rey assured.

"The one that we saw.. was their General; Greil." the knight pointed, "Not only him, but others joined him by scaling the walls."

Rey narrowed his eyes, "I see, so he's here too...they must be trying to get to the nobles that are here...great...I think I've seen his dragon at the main gate, but the one I've seen just now was an armored Red-" eyes going wide at a realization, "-Dragon..." going into thought for a second, until he sighed, "Where do they have Lady prim? we'll start there and then..." watching the armored dragon fly off the walls, "We can figure out what to do with our uninvited guests"

The knight nodded before saying, "Both princesses are being held in the main command room."

"I know where that is, thank you that's all we'll need," turning to the others, "Let's go," before dashing to the castle, with his retinue following, 'I hope and pray...you're not who I think you are...or your gonna have plenty to answer for...' he had on his thoughts, getting to the doors, "Get ready, there's no telling what we're expecting...they're already in these walls!" with a hand on his sword.

Command room...

Prim looked happy as she sat down.

"No matter how you look at this, the battle is won, and everything is good," she said with a bright smile.

"Nothing's good!" Alicia snapped, "All those monsters took over the city! And they have traitors with them!"

Prim sighed before saying, "Alicia-nee-sama, you should know that without them, the Black Dogs would have taken the city. People are safe and sound, the real traitors are either dead or hidden here to be taken into custody when General Greil steps here,"

"W-W-Wait... wha-what's going on... how do you know that the general of the Dark Army is coming here..." Alicia was at a loss for words as she was shaking and shocked.

"It's because I'm a member of the Birds of Prey of course." Prim answered with a smile, "As Lord Swain is the Raven, Commander Niall is a watchful falcon, Lord Raymond is a majestic eagle... as for me, I'm a mesmerizing peacock that can charm any idiot around."

"Why! What would you gain!" Alicia snapped again, "You're the crown princess of Ur! You shouldn't meddle with monsters!"

"So narrow-minded, and so easy to manipulate." Prim shook her head, "All that you did was against the people, which would have been something that Volt would have used if it wasn't for the commander's plan, it would have been the case. Thankfully, they still believe in one member of the royal family to change things; me. And one thing is needed; to get rid of the bumps within the court."

At that moment, Greil entered.

"General~ I've been waiting for some minutes, you know?" she said with a smile.

"I had to dispose of some obstacles in my way." Greil answered, "I do hope that you've been alright."

"Yes~" Prim replied, "That assassin is sure doing a wonderful job. Not to mention that the maid that Lord Swain sent is quite skilled."

Alicia drew her sword and pointed it toward Greil, "You! You did something to her! Bring her back!"

Prim sighed again as the assassin appeared behind her and knocked her out.

Meanwhile, the throne room

With sounds of rumbling coming from below, Alicia's parents, King Eos and Queen Aurora, were discussing with the nobles on the way to escape, now that the castle's been overrun by the monster forces...

"We'll have to take the emergency tunnel and come back stronger!" one noble recommended.

"Still, where should we go?" the king asked with a concerned voice, "The alliance's forces are stretched thin and with this battle, it would be more stretched." he then looked at himself, "Still, what's the meaning of this glow? And aren't you affected by it?"

"Maybe we should head to Ur." the queen thought out loud, "I'm sure my brother can help."

Another noble nodded in agreement, "Of course! We could launch a counterattack from with our neighbors at Ur, and that's if they're not on their way now...if we get to the tunnels and make our way out then certainly- Gah!" getting interrupted when a blade soon found itself going through his guts with a harsh tear, being yanked out moments after, causing the noble to collapse on the table, dead... The culprit was one of the knights who stared at the carcass with a cold stare as blood began to pool on the table and floor.

"Wh-what's the meaning of this!" King Eos yelled as he looked at the knight, "How dare you harm a nobleman!"

"Kill them!" the knight said as the other guards began to slaughter the other nobles, shocking the royal couple.

"What's going on...?" Queen Aurora asked as she was shivering.

Amid their confusion, the prime minister who had been standing at the shoulder of the king, smirked with his eyes shadowed over, slowly revealing a dagger from under his sleeve, and plunged it straight into the king's back, before giving another stab, watching the old king gasp, choking on air as blood squirted from each breath taken.

"NOOOO! Eos! EOS!" Aurora began to scream with horror as she watched Eos' last moments, extending a hand toward her.

At this point, Beasley stood over the dying king and his wife, with a near-demonic grin, "You have only yourselves to blame for this, "My lords" you and your family have stood in my way of ruling this city for too long...I've played along for these years, waiting on my chance, while you got fat and lazy on the throne... and now that the boy has finally moved on it...I can finally give Feoh the true ruler she finally deserves!" he cheered in a mad laugh, stabbing the queen in the back this time, watching her seize up and flump over, lying on the now-dead king, blood gushing from the wound, "Take heed, that your deaths with serve as motivation against our enemies...and don't worry about your daughter and the royal line, I intend to preserve and continue both quite well~ farewell...!" her vision darkening after that, his face being the last she's seen.

"So, "Lord" Beasley, what should we do about the princesses?" the knight asked, "None of the men that were sent returned. As for the others... you can't recognize their bodies..."

"I expected that, with the invasion of the monster army, it's thrown off quite a bit...still with these two out of the way, my rule is certain, I just need one of you to inform them of their parent's "Last brave stand" against the enemy and take them to the dungeons..." The prime minister grinned, wiping off the dagger with a cloth, "And don't bother getting rid of the bodies, since the monsters have already invaded, they can take the fall,"

The knight smirked before saying coldly, "Yes... we were busy fighting their monster of a general, and Dark Blades got to them while we were occupied. That could work..." he then walked away with the other knights.

Beasley chuckled, as the knights left the throne room, 'Now, all I gotta do is hope Volt's pulling through on his end with the other problems, it's been a while since I've heard anything now...I should check in, let him know all went according here...' walking off towards the royal chambers.

Castle rooftops...

The Redguard had finally arrived at the castle, finding it already under siege by the general and his forces, grinning, 'Good, they've gotten started, makes getting in much easier now...' as the dragon lowered to the upper battlements, letting him jump off, and flying off soon after, 'Now that I've made it, I should be able to get to the throne room much easier,' looking around and finding a tower with a staircase, 'bingo...' heading towards them and going down...

Castle halls...

Once he made It down the staircase tower, he came upon the bloodied halls, full of butchered holy knights, familiar with the carnage...' looks like the General's been through here...only he would leave messes like this...' frowning at himself for the thought, 'Then again, so do I...huh...' pressing through the gore-filled hallway.

Down the road, he found some knights impaled by red roots, as well as other knights who were inspecting them.

"Damn it... Infernal Racignals, which means that a wood demon is nearby." the lead knight mumbled.

Traysek frowned and took a corner, before snapping his fingers, materializing his full helmet when the horns ignited in flames, eyes glowing bright from it, walking up to them with metallic breathing, sword drawn.

The knights turned and froze at the sight.

"Is that... a demon?" one of them asked.

"No..." the lead knight replied, "Demons usually are accompanied by a Hellish Aura... But this... this is just murder intent."

"Wh-what should we do?!" another knight began to panic, "Even after killing the king and Queen! Make sure to frame the Dark Army! It should have been the sign that we've won!"

"Idiot!" the lead knight snapped as he began to sweat.

Traysek chuckled darkly, his tail cracking the ground when it struck against it, "Now, while I have no idea who did THIS, it doesn't matter...it's your turn now...!" rushing at them with blinding speed and slashing into the lead knight, a spray of blood being the reward, flowing into the sword.

The other knights screamed like girls as they ran away.

The Dragonborn tilted his head, switching back to his horns with a hard frown, "Wha-? what...? seriously? That was it?! Wow..." scoffs, glancing at the thorns, 'Still, whoever or WHATEVER did this these guys are still around...hopefully their friendly, I'm seeing only dead knights here...' heading towards the throne room...

Throne room...

Once Traysek entered the throne room, he found the bloody scene before him, the nobles here were all cut down in brutal ways, eyes straight open with expressions of either betrayal or fear...he then spotted two more bodies that stood out to him, going over to them, finding a blonde woman identical to Alicia and a man with a crown, 'So that bullshit back there about them killing the royals was legit...here's hoping the king's still alive...' kneeling and checking his pulse, getting nothing, 'Damn it...! he's gone...and from how warm he still is, this is was done moments before I got here...gods, poor bastard...' going for his call stone, "This is Traysek to Greil, I found the parents, the king's no longer with us...and it's looking the same way for the Queen too," with a headshake

"I had hoped that they'd be still alive." Greil sighed before adding, "Their knowledge of the enemy would have been an advantage for us."

"Even if Uncle Eos and Aunty would have been alive, I would have asked for their assassination." A voice Traysek hadn't heard for quite a while stated, "The old blood must make place for the new... something they'd never understand."

He smirked with a raised eyebrow, "Oh? I remember that cute voice~...is that Prim I'm hearing? Long time no talk~ though I didn't expect you of all to be tuned in on this, I have questions for later," he chuckled.

"But I'm waiting~" Prim said with a sweet voice.

After a heavy sigh, Greil stated, "Can you join us in the command room? We'd like to discuss some things with you."

"Of course, especially with this...New development, I only need to know where that room is from here and-" he went to continue but...

There was a small and weak whimper coming from the bodies as the hand of the queen twitched a bit.

"-I'll...make...it...there..." Traysek finished with a shocked expression, "Well I'll be~ Guess you better reserve that seat for two because it looks like the queen's still hanging on," going over to her, finding her to be twitching, "I'll be on my way, but I need to close this wound..." applying grand healing over her, as she groaned, "Hey, I got you, don't go on me yet..." he coaxed as the deep wound closed rapidly.

"A... licia..." her breathing became stabilized, "Eos... Alicia..." and then nothing.

The Redguard huffed, finishing the spell, with a grin, "Don't worry you'll see your daughter soon, trust me on that...as for the other...well..." Glancing the dead king, "No luck there...time to go, your Highness," picking her up and carrying on his back, "Alright, now where's that command room again?" to the calling stone.

"Follow the branches, they'll guide you," Greil stated as the same red roots emerged from the ground, making a line.

He raised an eyebrow, "Thanks! Now I know who to blame for the mess in the halls," he laughed, following the line of roots to the command tower.

Command room...

In the command room, Prim was pouting for quite a while as Greil shook his head.

"You should be happy that you have family, not wishing that you don't." he pointed out.

"It would seem that you don't understand; if some people find out that she's still alive, they'll use her as a front to stand against me, and I'd rather avoid that," Prim explained.

'I will always find humans to be strange...' Greil sweatdropped.

Soon after, there was a knock at the door, "It's Traysek and I've brought cargo..." glancing at the unconscious queen on his back.

The maid walked to the door and opened it.

Traysek walked in, "Sorry I'm late, had to avoid a couple of patrols on the way up with her on my back," going over to a small sofa and lying her down gently on it, going to the table, taking a seat, "So the most innocent princess of shields, isn't so innocent after huh?" with a knowing smirk, "Didn't know you'd be on this side, took me by surprise though, you wore that mask well~" with an approving nod and grin.

"We all have some sort of duty." Prim replied before looking seriously at Traysek, "Now then, what are your questions?"

The Redguard relaxed on the chair, "Easy now they're friendly questions, for one, I didn't expect you to be a double agent, and that's a surprise...but I knew meeting you, there was something else about you... no one's EVER that innocent after all, glad to know what it is now,"

Prim giggled before saying, "Oh my, did you think I wouldn't take advantage of this situation? Only an idiot wouldn't try to find the winning deal during times like these. Of course, one needs to know where to look, instead of who to look for."

"I see, so you intended to rule without restraints, Gotcha," He concluded with a nod, "Honestly, I was just being coy before when I said that I wanted answers, but I'm glad I got them either way..." with a shrug.

"Is that all? Really?" Prim raised an eyebrow, "I'm sure that you have more questions."

He thought for a moment, until noticing something else off, spotting Alicia on the bed nearby, raising an eyebrow "I see you've also managed to secure your cousin, I couldn't imagine that being hard..." Chuckled with a nod, "Actually I do...What's gonna happen to her after all this? Not that I care too much, she was rude to me in the beginning, but this is her city...I imagine she wouldn't have given that up without a fight..." deepening his frown, "Right...?"

Prim giggled before saying, "Actually she did. They took nuns as hostages to force her to capitulate... and it worked. Of course, one needs to find the opportunity in every moment... and to gain any advantage. That's why I joined the Birds of Prey; unlike the Black Puppies of Volt, I wouldn't have to use my body, nor Alicia-nee-sama's body to get what I want. However, my interests are entangled with someone else's... well it doesn't matter, I can have Alicia-nee-sama as a soldier of Niall, and those soldiers will be part of the newly established kingdom of both Feoh and Ur."

"Not to add the reputation that she had with the public." Greil shimmed in, "Her downfall is more than imminent... and no matter what happens, her family name would be synonymous with cowardice and failure."

Traysek sighed, nodding again "Right, So she gave in and proved to be a weak leader... No wonder you were able to take over, and I'm guessing you had something to do with her being subdued too..." giving her grin, "I'm starting to like you, lady Prim~ you took your chance and seized it, I can respect that...I'd do the same in this situation...that said, this group you mentioned, "The birds of prey" now that's something I haven't heard of, even on our side of the fence...but I have met Lord Swain, no bad opinions there, even helped us escape a couple of weeks back...wondered how he's been,"

"I heard that he went recruiting in the west." Prim answered, "I do wonder how it concluded..."

"He must be heading back to Ken," Greil added.

"I see, it's a shame he's not taking part in today's fight, another day perhaps... that said," Traysek paused, his expression turned serious, "I'm here to find where the prime minister is holding up at...I'm certain he had something to do with all that death In the throne room...and from the lack of panic from the guards, they were in on it too...if I can find him, we can end this,"

"Ah yes! Prime Minister Beasley! I am wondering where he is~" Prim stated with a sweet smile, "I do want to... reward him for doing the heavy lifting for me~"

A sweat drop appeared on Traysek, "By heavy lifting, I assume you mean those other dead nobles, Gods... that's ruthless... I'm almost afraid to ask what that "reward" is now..."

"He did more~" Prim pointed, "He didn't just destroy Alicia's reputation, he also killed some nobles who were quite the headache to deal with. There's also the fact that he spent a fortune to fortify his little army, not knowing that all that gold fell right in my hands."

The Redguard frowned, "So he's been your pawn without even realizing it, that's... probably the most evil thing I have ever heard in dear life...thank the gods that's not against us..." glancing at Greil with a sweatdrop.

"How sweet of you." Prim giggled, "I have asked for something very special from the lands of the north; a ferocious beast to entertain me by playing with him."

"By the Earthmother..." Greil took a deep breath.

Traysek gave her a couple of blinks, "Ok then...so we're expecting a live show later, cool...Either way, I still need to find him, and judging from how warm the bodies were, he had just recently done that...means he's still in the castle somewhere..."

"He must be heading through the hidden tunnels." Prim pointed, "Once he arrives at the end of one of them, he'd take a carriage to Ur. Of course, he still has some gold, so I would prefer to have him spend everything before taking him in~"

"So it's not about his capture with you... you want him to suffer with the pretense of false victory... A slow sweet killing method...Shit with that, I might not even have to do anything, he might off himself," Traysek whistled.

"It's not like I have to lift a finger to have him do it." Prim stated, smiling, "He's so stupid that all I have to do is point somewhere with the promise of strength and he'll run there without thinking."

Traysek frowned, "He's that power-hungry? then in that case, he hasn't left...think about it, a man who finally accomplished his goal would just leave after that? hardly...especially with the black dog commanders alive, Volt is on his way here now, which Is why I wanted to corner Beasley before those reinforcements got here...and whoever else he has in his corner lurking around,"

"The other nobles fled to Ur with their assets." Prim replied, "As for Volt... he may be using a secret tunnel to get in."

"He could be or they might just let him in because those are the prime minister's men...wouldn't need one..." Traysek thought, "Since I know hasn't escaped and he wasn't on the throne... If there are Royal chambers here, which way would I have to go to get there?"

Prim simply looked at the maid who nodded.

"She'll guide you to it," Prim stated as roots emerged from the ground.

Traysek stood up stretching, "Nice to know who caused the roots, that's impressive," giving both a bow, "Well lady prim, I see you and Alicia are in good hands here, General if I need anything I'll call, I'll let you know what happens either way,"

"Good luck, Captain." Greil nodded.

Throne room...

Reynold and his party finally reached the throne room, finding the carnage before them, the former gritting his teeth.

"Dammit! We're too late! those assassins already struck!" Rey growled, noticing the king going over to him, "King Eos...?" checking on his pulse, "By the goddess, The king's dead...!"

"This has to be the work of the Dark Blades," Marquel stated.

"This seems like their work, although something's off here...assassins like that go for vital spots, these guys look like they were just murdered and savagely...that wound for example is a bit big for a dagger don't you think?" Rey said, inspecting the wounds of the others, "If we look around, I'm sure we'll find whoever or whatever did this,"

"Maybe the monster army sent some Kletzkrieg here to assist the Dark Blades?" another knight pointed, "Some are known to be savages among them."

The lead knight nodded, "That could also be true...they are invading at this very moment, many knights are dead in the halls and there's these strange vines too...we'll have to tread carefully...something tells me we'll have a fight on our hands soon..."

...

Now back into the halls, Traysek followed the vines, leading him back into the throne room and stopping at the door when he saw a squad of knights there, narrowing his eyes on a familiar one, 'That's...Reynold...but why isn't he glowing...isn't he one of Swain's...hmm...something tells me I'm gonna get a different answer...and one I'm not gonna like...' Materializing his helmet once more, with a shadow spell in hand, casting it and dimming the lights there...

"Should we do something about this?" one of the knights asked, "If we manage to take the documents from the king's office, we might discover something about where the enemy is hidden. And we can take a few more Kletzkrieg heads as proof that you're the one who can save the situation."

Rey thought on that..."That's if we run into any more...from the lack of them so far, means they've thinned out and-"but as he was about to continue that answer, the lights completely dimmed down, following a large plume of crimson smoke that started to pour in, surrounding them, "What...? where did this smoke come from...?" hand on his blade looking around frantically.

"Sir! It would be cowardly to hide." a knight pointed, "We need to show them what we, true knights of Celestine, can do!"

"Considering your friends in the halls, I'd say that impression is too late..." they heard a metallic voice echo, putting them all on edge.

Rey at this point was shaking, but still retained a hardened gritted expression, "Yeah? says a lot about you if you're not showing yourself, why don't you come out coward?! I've killed enough of your Kletzkreig brethren today, you'll be no different!" he challenged, tightening the grip.

"Reynold! Look there!" A knight pointed at the approaching figure.

He turned to that direction, and that's when his blood froze, breaking into a cold sweat upon seeing the armored figure...Blackened with crimson thorns glowing on it as well as the dark-lit dragon tail... Rey could feel his heart racing, not because of the armor, nor the glowing tail and helmet...Not even the bloodied weapons...it was the killing intent the figure was giving off, suffocating almost...with every step towards them, he felt his breath getting thinner and thinner...'W-who...is this...? Is he the one responsible for the carnage?! What's this intent I'm feeling...? He's not even close and it feels like... he's already got me by the throat...'

"That...that's no Kletzkreig...Not with that murderous intent..." Reynold uttered, fear in his voice as his sword arm quivered.

"What should we do?" one of the knights asked, "Should we escape?"

Rey shook his head, "After coming this far? We can't now, and besides...I don't our friend here is gonna let us leave...what's more..." narrowing his eyes, "He's got that glow on him too...he's one of them...either way we gotta take him down..."

Traysek finally reached the bottom of the stairs, and walked towards the group, stopping a few feet away. An awkward silence fell between them all for a moment, until he chuckled deeply under the helm, "Well well well~ that's a face I didn't expect to see here...Long time no see, Reynold..."

To be continued...

Hello Everyone, so...quick apology, I tried to wrap this arc up and it was supposed to end in this chapter until it got too long...so we decided to split it up, and just make this part 3... but no worries :) part 4 and the final act of the arc is right around the corner... ;) it just needs some final touches on it and you'll get that as well... for now, time for Review answering...

OniTenshi500: You couldn't have said any of that better... but you know? people like what they like... And I'm not against anyone's tastes in the matter, Some readers like characters with Depth, and others might like empty Mc shells they can insert themselves into...My story isn't the best and I know that, but it's my favorite project...and I enjoy writing it and that's enough for me... As for Reynold, you bet he did, but that holds its consequences too...and I think you'll enjoy watching those as well as Alicia's downward spiral :) stay tuned my friend.

That's it for now folks, stick around for the fourth and actual final part of this battle arc... God's blessings to you all :)
