This was a blast to write.

"I love food." Mika muttered, diving into his food. He may have been teeny tiny, but food was a joy that he never failed to relish in. He, Neji and Hinata were all at a sweets shop that Hinata was fond of, happy as clams eating and chatting about something or another. At this moment it was about Shin, and how cute he was.

"... And his fur is so shiny, and he is so long! Our long boy." Hinata crowed.

Mika just rolled his eyes. "You don't have to pick up his long hair from damn near every surface at home."

She just brushed him off. "He's a precious baby, you are just jealous you aren't as cute as he is."

"Not too sure about that." Neji said, startling them all as they all blushed. "Please ignore I said that. Please."

Mika leaned in. "You think I'm cute? Why ignore that, I am cute, so why not talk about it." He teased, taunting the older Hyuuga to the point of a red face

However, as Neji stuttered and muttered, desperate for an answer, a person manifested next to them in flurry of speed. Startling them all, even Shin who had been sleeping in Mika's lap. The person was a woman, tall and gorgeous with purple hair and an air of strength. She had a sword on her back, her arms well muscled and strong. Her smile was warm but utilitarian...

Mika knew she was powerful.

"Mika?" He nodded. "I am Yugao Uzuki. I will be your mentor for the next few months, until Ibiki is done with his project."

"I am pleased to meet you... what now?"

"The Hokage gave me your hospital training schedule, we will training on the days between, so you can maximize your training in that time. Ibiki wants you to enter the chunin exams. Based on his recommendation and how skilled you seem to be, I agree with him. And since I do, it will be my responsibility to maximize your skills until you are capable of dominating the Chunin exams."

Mika gaped. "On my own?"

"That is the goal, yes."

Hinata smiled, putting her hand on his. As did a flushed Neji. "You'll do really well, Mika." Hinata said

Neji nodded. "Yes, you will... you are smarter than us all, and incredibly capable. You'll do incredibly well."

Mika could not help but flush this time. "Thank you... both of you... so... when do we get started, Yugao Sensei?"

"Right now."

Mika stood, throwing down his money. "See you lot later." He kissed Hinata's cheek, as he always did, then Neji's making him almost explode. Then he turned to Yugao. "I have a training ground that is perfect, if your down."

"I'll follow you. Show me you body flicker." They were there in less than two minutes, with Yugao smirking. " Your body flicker is great, but you need some work on your flow. Less movements per step, it will get you farther and expend far less energy. Now, before that, spar with me, all out. I'll let you know when we're done. Without Shin, I need to make sure you can fight without your cat." Shin nodded, hurrying away

What came next was him getting his ass handed to him sixty different ways. He ended up with a dozen cuts, bruises and welts. Yugao was fast, brutal and effective.

It started when he threw a kunai at her, rushing right after. She caught the kunai and blocked his blade, shoving him away before cutting his forearm with the blade. "First blood, me. " Then she kicked with him with a shattering blow sending rocketing across the field. He barely landed before she was slashing with his kunai. He just body flickered away, and sank into the earth. As best he could, he layered genjutsu from the underground, as he made earth clones to help him.

As the clones rose, he felt his genjutsu ( all three layers) shatter before a hand burst through the ground, grabbing his hair and tossing him at one of his clones. As it turned into earth, he tried his best to block her next strike only to be socked in the face so hard he swore his jaw broke and he slammed into a tree.

Dazed, he could not move even as she was there by him... with healing green chakra. "Why did I do this? To keep you from being cocky. No one is beyond killing you. Genin or Kage, we can all die with the right tactics or overwhelming power." Once she was done healing him, she smiled. "I hated doing that, but success has a bad habit of killing people. I am far beyond you, even your newly won Hidden Mist Jutsu and Silent killing would not have helped. I am a sensor, and a good one."

"I get it,... so where do we go now?"

Her smile turned sweet. " We go to mastering your kenjutsu, silent killing and amplifying your speed. If we do that, you'll be able to overcome just near anyone that comes your way. Now stand, and show me your worth my time." She turned to Shin. "I want to see what you can do as well, Shin..."
