The Forest of Death is my all time least favorite part of the series. So pointlessly long...
I hate that, so this is really short out of spite.
At the Entrance of the Forest of Death
Fur ruffled, Shin felt bloodlust oozing from His and his Daddy's pores. Both of them were, by nature, eager to take our their bloodlust on others. They loved to fight, to prove their worth. Sensing the eager eyes on them, desiring their earth scroll and their lives, Shin knew it would be a perfect time to test out his and Daddy's skills. He could not wait to see it... how powerful they truly were, together and apart.
The moment they were given the go, he led his Daddy into the forest, sniffing out two teams coming their way.
'Daddy, a team from Frost and Rain are coming this way.'
Mika could not help but smirk, reaching out with his mind. 'Let's try this out, I have been wanting, dying to practice genjutsu in battle.'
And Shin would have smiled if Cats could as his Daddy wove his plan.
Soon, a double tiered illusion was placed over them, making it look like a part of transformed Earth Clones were them and that they were leaping toward the tower when in actuality they were watching from above moving with the grace that came being striving to master the Silent Killing with Yugao. The two teams shot toward their genjutsu, leaping with graceless forms with swords drawn.
Shin laughed internally when, the moment his clone self was stabbed and the two teams were mixed together... his and Mika's clones, covered in over a dozen explosive tags, exploded. Body parts and blood flew around as the teams were rendered mush. One survived, a girl from Frost, though she would have spent hours suffering had she been allowed to stay that way. Shin leapt down, carving a path through her neck, saving her from that suffering.
He and his daddy rummaged through their stuff, taking another Earth Scroll and one Heaven Scroll.
"Well, that was easy... onward."
And then, restructuring the illusion to mask them, he and his daddy shot toward the Tower. They made it swiftly, the illusions masking them from everyone and everything. Not even the giant bugs attacked them, as Mika leaked out subtle Killing intent. Not enough to draw eyes to them, but enough to make snakes and giant bugs leave them alone.
The only thing that gave them pause was the inhuman, very jonin or even kage like burst of wind that washed through the forest... but they were not dumb enough to investigate...
Soon, they made to the tower, throwing the scrolls down... and summoning... "Ibiki sensei!" Mika said, smiling. Shin jumped into the man's arms, getting really, really nice pets.

Ibiki could not believe it. "Mika... Shin... you... you broke the record. By a lot. You beat this test in an hour, how?"
"Genjutsu and stupid people. I suspect no one even though to look for me through illusions. I mean I just layered one after killing two teams with an explosion and boom, here I am. I did not stop to play with other teams, I did not brag, I just killed and ran. No pussy footing around."
Shin nodded, purring. "Easy, people dumb, weak..."
Ibiki sighed, amused and very pleased... but also deeply, deeply startled. "Well, you have until the five days are up, or people get here... so rest, relax and ready yourself, kids." And as Mika and Shin wandered off, he could not help but wonder. 'Just for a moment there, he reminded me of Orochimaru... that same callousness, coldness and genius. Who would he be, without good guidance... I shudder to consider.'
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the review.
Mika beating those teams easily was inspired by Team Kurenai doing the same with the leeches. Strategy should matter...
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
