Anger
(With Bella)
Bella was tired. Even though the trial was over, life was still bringing her down. There were many reasons. One was some of the wolves. They questioned her about being a squib as well as her still being friends with the vampires. There were a few that thought she should still be punished for when she was under the personality curse. Luckily Sam and Jacob always came to her rescue. Otherwise she probably would have already snapped.
Then there were some kids at school. They made sure she could hear them talking about her. No one had the guts to talk to her face. They would also try and convince Angela and Mike what a terrible person she was. They brought up how she got Jessica's parents to send her to military school. They hated when they were reminded that Jessica got herself sent there. Luckily Angela and Mike always stood up for her.
Finally it was the reporters. Not the American ones but the British ones. They were constantly sending her letters. They wanted to interview her and some of the questions they sent her were inappropriate. One asked if she ever witnessed her father and Harry having sex. It was disgusting. Some wanted to ask her how it felt to be one of the reasons many reporters were arrested.
That was what she was reading at the moment. It was a letter from one of the reporters. It congratulated her on getting those reporters arrested. They then asked if she felt good about herself. She knew it wasn't her fault nor did she feel guilty about it. She was just tired of reading it.
"Are you okay dear?" Molly asked.
"Not really." She sighed.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked.
"You are busy." She said.
Molly was helping Harry with the fundraiser. Harry was raising money for the hospital's children ward. Bella didn't want to take her away from that. She felt that was more important than some dumb reporters. Molly felt differently.
"I'm taking a break from that. Plus you are more important at the moment." She said.
Bella bit her lip. "I'm just tired. From some of the wolves to some classmates to the reporters. I never seem to get a break. I just received another letter from a reporter. He disguised it as a bill." She told her.
"I thought Harry put up a ward to keep those letters out." She frowned.
"He sent it the non-magical way." She said.
"I see. Clever." She sneered.
"Yeah." She sighed.
"Well, tell Harry. He can show this to the ministry and get them arrested for harassment." She said.
"They already authorized the mail ward for that." She said.
"Yes and they still found a way to continue. They will be arrested next." She said.
"I hope so. I just want all this to stop." She said.
"I know dear. So do I. It is ridiculous." Molly shook her head. "How about I make you some cookies." She said.
"But the-"
"No buts. I am able to make you some cookies and I will. Harry is taking care of all the baking for the fundraiser." She assured her.
"Okay." She smiled.
"Great. What kind?" She asked.
"Chocolate chip." She answered.
"A classic." She smiled. "I'll let you know when they are done."
"Okay."
Ring Ring.
"I'll get it." Bella said.
"Okay dear."
As Molly went back into the kitchen Bella went to answer the phone. She wished she didn't. It was one of her classmates. Bella could hear the disdain and hate in her voice.
"Hello Bella." Lauren Mallory greeted.
"Hello Lauren. How may I help you?" She asked.
"By getting out of our town." She sneered. "You have made such a mess since coming."
"I am sorry for whatever I said or did to you. I promise you I have no memory of what I have done." She said.
"You really think I'm going to believe a slut like you?" She laughed.
"No." It was the truth.
"..." For a few minutes there was stunned silence. "I need you to tell Jessica's parents that you were a bitch and lied."
"I wasn't the one that got Jessica sent away. She did that herself." Bella told her.
"Yeah right."
"She tried to seduce Harry and she was wearing inappropriate clothing. Her mom caught her and that was why she was sent to military school." She told her.
"You are so useless!" She yelled before hanging up.
Bella shook her head and hung the phone up. She then flopped back onto the couch. She was feeling even more drained. She was also feeling like she was closer to snapping. She was glad she had a therapy appointment in a couple days. She really needed to talk about this.
"What happened?" Molly asked.
"A girl from school called. She wanted me to tell Jessica Stanley's parents that I am a bitch and lied. She believes I got her sent to military school." She sighed.
"Wasn't that the girl that wore an inappropriate outfit to seduce Harry at the bakery?" She asked.
"That was Jessica." She answered.
"That girl got herself in trouble." She said.
"That is what I told her but she didn't believe me." She answered.
"I am so sorry you have to deal with that." She said.
"Not your fault Molly." Bella said.
"I know but you shouldn't have to deal with all that."
"It is what it is." She said.
"Just make sure your father knows." She said, hating that she couldn't really help.
"I will." She promised.
"Good. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." She said.
"Can I help?" She asked.
"Of course you can." She smiled.
"Great."
(Next Morning)
Charlie decided to accompany his daughter to school. In his hand was their phone record. He wanted to talk to the principal. When they arrived everyone looked at them. Charlie noticed Lauren's parents were there too. They were glaring in Bella's direction as their daughter cried. He wasn't sure if it was real or not but he felt like the girl was faking it.
"How dare you!" Lauren's mom hissed.
"Let me guess your daughter is saying Bella bullied your daughter?" Charlie asked.
"Yes she did. She called our house last night and told her she was next. She was going to run her out of town like she had done to Jessica." She huffed.
"That's funny." He said.
"How is that funny?" Lauren's father asked as he gave Charlie a scathing glare.
"Well, I have my phone records. It shows that Lauren called my house, not the other way around. Secondly, my boyfriend's mother was over yesterday and heard the conversation. Bella never once said that. She had apologized for whatever she had said or done to Laurel when her brain was bleeding. She then told Laurel what really happened with Jessica. Lastly Jesscia got herself into trouble and was sent to military school. She, wearing an inappropriate outfit, showed up at Harry's bakery to try and seduce him." Charlie said.
"What?" Both parents looked at each other.
"Bella informed me of the phone call. I had the records pulled to show the principal. Many are pissed off at Bella. I understand why and I can understand that many don't believe she had a brain bleed but now they are bullying her. Many are being hypocrites and I want it to stop. If you don't believe us about Jessica you should ask her parents. I would say you could see Harry's security footage but with how inappropriate Jessica's outfit was he erased the footage. I have a copy but I feel like that is child porn and I refuse to show it." He said.
"Let me see the records." The other father demanded.
"Here." He handed them over.
He looked over the paper before glaring at his daughter. The mom was shown the record and did the same. They couldn't believe their daughter was stupid enough to lie to them like that. Of course the sheriff would have evidence. He had punished Bella when she was in the wrong. This time she wasn't. In fact the girl looked like she wanted to disappear. They were starting to believe she really did have a brain bleed that changed her personality.
"That paper is lying!" Laurel yelled.
"Laurel." Her father said in a tone that said lie and you will be in more trouble.
"Fine! I wanted her to pay for being a bitch. She is no longer in trouble, she is suddenly back to being top of the class with her grades, she is best friends with Angela and Mike, and she got my best friend sent away. She tricked Jessica into going to the bakery!" She yelled.
"She was seen by a doctor that confirmed the brain bleed." Charlie said.
"Yeah, her boyfriend's father! Of course he would lie for her." She sneered.
"Edward and I broke up. I have been seen by another doctor that confirmed it. A neurologist." Bella half lied.
"What?" That was a shock.
"I really am sorry for all that I did but I have no memory of it. I wish I did so I could apologize and make up for it but I don't so I can't." She said.
That made Laurel clap. "Oh wow. You are such a great actress. You and your father should take a bow."
"Enough! Your mother and I will talk about your punishment after you get home today. We will be here to pick you up." Her father said.
"WHAT?! Why am I being punished? That bitch is lying!" She yelled in anger.
"So far the evidence is saying you are the liar, not her." Her mom said. "You will be punished for lying and for bullying." She looked at Bella and her father. "I am so sorry. We believed her when she said you called and bullied her."
"It's alright. I understand why you believed her. I was out of control. I wish I could remember but I do know from what I was told I was horrible. Hopefully this will be the last incident." She said.
"It will be with Laurel." She glared at her daughter. "And if I found out you bothered this girl and tried to get revenge for you getting caught your punishment will be doubled." She warned.
"Hmph!" She crossed her arms and pouted.
"I mean it, young lady." She gave her a stern look.
"Yes mom." Her pout deepened.
"Get to class." Her father said.
"Yes sir." She did as told.
Her parents left after that. Charlie went to the principal. The man had been watching. He promised to address his concern before the sheriff left. The rest of the students and the staff dispersed.
