I do not own these characters, but I love writing for my couple. So I am borrowing. They are owned by Disney/ABC.

A few of you mentioned that Elizabeth should pay for her part too. Patience. It's coming. Jason isn't just going to go to 1 therapy session and be done. They both need therapy. But Jason needs it more. They both did horrible things to each other. That's why I am fixing them. From the ground up. This takes time. Gotta work through everything that destroyed you so you don't make the same mistakes. It's easier for Elizabeth right now because Lucky is basically non-existent and hasn't been since 2011. Her turn is coming too.

Also, I am not above begging. I am just curious to know who is reading besides the few that have commenting. I am just interested in seeing if there is more than a couple of you. Just a hey, I am reading. I am writing this for myself 100% I hate the show and I am trying to make my couple right in my mind. Even if the show never goes there again. This is what I will go back to when the show is finally cancelled.

GENERAL HOSPITAL

The familiar hum of the hospital filled the air as Elizabeth made her way through the corridors. The shift was already busy, with nurses and doctors bustling around, patients being wheeled in and out of rooms, and the constant beep of monitors echoing down the halls.

She headed toward the nurses' station, ready to check in for her shift, but as she approached, she spotted a familiar figure standing near the reception desk. Carly. Of course.

Elizabeth immediately felt her stomach knot with tension. Carly was leaning against the counter, her arms crossed, clearly waiting for someone, but as soon as her eyes landed on Elizabeth, that familiar smirk curled on her lips.

"Elizabeth," Carly greeted, her tone dripping with false sweetness. "Fancy seeing you here."

Elizabeth didn't miss a beat, keeping her expression neutral as she continued walking past. "I work here, Carly."

"Oh, right," Carly said, pushing off the counter and following Elizabeth with a casual stride. "Saving lives and all that. You must feel really important."

Elizabeth stopped, turning to face Carly. "What do you want, Carly? I have a shift to get to, and I'm not interested in whatever game you're trying to play."

Carly's smirk only grew. "Game? Who said anything about a game? I just thought we could have a little chat. You know, woman to woman."

Elizabeth crossed her arms, already tired of the conversation. "If you have something to say, just say it."

Carly took a step closer, her tone dropping to something more pointed. "I've been thinking a lot about how you and Jason have been...reconnecting. And I just wanted to make sure you understand that just because Jason's spending time with you doesn't mean you're the only one who matters to him."

Elizabeth clenched her jaw, keeping her voice steady. "Jason and I have our own relationship, Carly. Whatever you think you know, you don't."

"Oh, I know plenty," Carly countered, her eyes gleaming with the challenge. "I know how Jason is. He's loyal to a fault, but he's also someone who's been there for me and Sonny no matter what. And that's not going to change just because you're suddenly back in the picture."

Elizabeth's eyes narrowed. "This isn't about you, Carly. Jason has his own life, and it's not your place to dictate who he spends his time with."

Carly laughed, a cold, dismissive sound. "You think I'm trying to control him? Please. I'm just reminding you of the reality. Jason has always been there for me, for our family. And you, Elizabeth...you've always been just a distraction."

The words cut deep, but Elizabeth didn't let it show. She took a breath, steadying herself before responding. "Jason isn't the same man he was, Carly. He's choosing his own path now, and that path doesn't revolve around you or Sonny. It revolves around his family. Our family."

Carly's expression faltered for just a moment, but she quickly recovered, rolling her eyes. "Family, huh? You think that just because he's back in your life, everything's going to magically fall into place? Jason's always going to put Sonny and me first, Elizabeth. It's who he is."

Elizabeth shook her head, her voice firm. "No, Carly. Jason's done putting you first. He's finally seeing what he wants for his own life, and it's not the endless cycle of you dragging him into your problems. He's working on himself now, and for once, he's choosing to live his life for him. Not for you."

Carly's smirk faded, replaced by a simmering frustration. "You really think you can change him? That you're somehow the one who's going to make him forget everything we've been through?"

Elizabeth stood her ground. "I'm not trying to change him. Jason's already changing. And I'm supporting him, not pulling him down like you always have."

Carly's eyes flashed with anger, but before she could retort, one of the nurses walked by, giving them both a curious glance. Elizabeth took the opportunity to step away, effectively ending the confrontation.

"I have patients to attend to," Elizabeth said, her tone final. "This conversation is over."

Carly crossed her arms, her expression hardening as she watched Elizabeth walk away. "This isn't over," she muttered under her breath. "Not by a long shot."

Elizabeth hurried down the hall, her heart pounding in her chest. The confrontation with Carly had rattled her, but she wasn't going to let it ruin her night. She had her life with Jason, and nothing Carly said or did would change that.

As she entered her first patient's room, she took a deep breath, refocusing on her work. But even as she moved through her shift, Carly's words lingered in the back of her mind, a reminder that no matter how much they tried to move forward, there would always be someone trying to pull them back.

But Elizabeth wasn't going to let Carly—or anyone else—dictate her future. Not anymore.

GENERAL HOSPITAL - LULU'S ROOM

As Dante settled back into the chair beside Lulu's bed, Elizabeth Webber entered the room, her nurse's scrubs a stark contrast to the emotional weight of the moment. She offered a warm smile, her eyes immediately falling on Dante, sensing the lingering tension and hope in the air.

"How's she doing?" Elizabeth asked, moving closer to check Lulu's vitals.

Dante looked up, gratitude evident in his gaze. "There was another slight movement earlier. The doctor said her brain activity has improved."

"That's great news," Elizabeth said, genuinely pleased. "The smallest signs can mean so much in these situations. Keep talking to her; it helps more than you know."

Dante nodded, squeezing Lulu's hand gently. "I will. I just want her back. Our family needs her."

Elizabeth noticed the fatigue behind Dante's eyes and the way his voice wavered with emotion. "You're doing an incredible job, Dante. Being here for her, keeping that connection alive—it's important."

"Thanks, Elizabeth," Dante replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "Sometimes I feel so helpless. I just wish she could hear me, you know?"

As Dante spoke, Elizabeth's heart ached for him. She had watched so many families struggle through similar situations and understood the toll it took. She moved closer to the bedside, adjusting the blanket around Lulu. "You're not helpless. Just being present means everything to her. It's part of the healing process."

The doctor re-entered the room, looking over the charts with a focused expression. "Dante, I want to try something new. We'll increase the stimulation—play some of her favorite music, maybe read to her. It might help her brain engage even more."

Dante's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Yeah, she loves music. I'll bring her favorite playlist tomorrow."

"Good idea," the doctor affirmed. "And remember, it's a long road, but every little sign counts. We just need to be patient."

As the doctor left the room, Elizabeth turned to Dante. "Have you considered bringing Rocco by? Maybe he could help Lulu feel more at home."

Dante hesitated, his brow furrowed with concern. "I don't want him to see her like this. I don't want to scare him."

"Understandable," Elizabeth replied gently, "but kids can be incredibly resilient. Seeing his mom could spark something in Lulu. It might make a difference."

After a moment, Dante sighed, the weight of the world on his shoulders. "You're right. He needs to see her, and I need to let him be part of this process."

Elizabeth smiled, proud of Dante's resolve. "It's a brave step. You don't have to do this alone."

As they spoke, a soft noise came from Lulu, almost imperceptible, but enough to catch both their attentions. They exchanged hopeful glances, anticipation thrumming in the air.

"Did you hear that?" Dante's heart raced as he leaned closer to Lulu, searching her face for signs of consciousness.

Elizabeth's expression brightened, her eyes wide. "I think she did respond to your voice. Let's keep encouraging her."

"Lulu, can you hear me?" Dante's voice trembled with hope. "It's me. I'm here. Please, if you can hear me, squeeze my hand."

Silence enveloped the room for a moment, tension rising, but then—almost as if fueled by the bond of love that connected them—Lulu's fingers twitched.

Dante gasped, his heart pounding. "Lulu! Did you just squeeze my hand? Please, do it again."

Elizabeth watched with bated breath, her heart swelling as she witnessed the connection between them. "Come on, Lulu. You can do it!"

The room was thick with anticipation as Dante continued to speak, encouraging her to fight. Suddenly, Lulu's hand tightened around his.

"She did it! She squeezed!" Dante's voice broke with emotion, a mixture of joy and disbelief flooding him.

Elizabeth grinned, tears of relief filling her eyes. "That's amazing, Dante! Keep talking to her. You're reaching her. She can hear you."

Dante leaned closer, his voice firm yet gentle. "Lulu, I love you. Rocco needs you. I need you. You're the heart of our family. Please keep fighting for us. You're the strongest woman I know."

As Dante poured his heart out, Elizabeth stood by, providing the support he needed. They both shared a moment of hope, a reminder that even in darkness, love had the power to spark light.

HOSPITAL HALLWAY

Meanwhile, outside the room, Sonny leaned against the wall, reflecting on his son's emotional turmoil. His thoughts were interrupted when Carly approached, her expression tight with concern.

"Sonny, have you heard anything?" Carly asked, her voice filled with urgency. "I just came from the boys. They're asking about Lulu."

Sonny shook his head, frowning. "Nothing yet. But there are signs of hope. Dante's been holding it together, but I'm worried about him. He's trying to be strong for the kids, but it's taking a toll."

Carly sighed, running a hand through her hair. "He can't carry this burden alone. He needs to grieve, to be vulnerable. I just wish he'd let me in."

"You know Dante. He wants to protect everyone, even if it means shutting out those who care about him," Sonny replied, glancing back toward Lulu's room. "He needs support right now. We both do."

Just then, Dante stepped into the hallway, his face a mask of resolve. "I'm okay, really," he insisted, sensing the tension between his father and Carly. "I just talked to the doctor. There's a chance Lulu can wake up."

Carly stepped forward, her eyes searching his. "You have to take care of yourself too, Dante. You can't help her if you're falling apart."

"I'm fine," he said firmly, but the slight tremor in his voice betrayed him.

Sonny interjected, "Let's go get some coffee. We can't be in here all day. Maybe a change of scenery will help."

Dante hesitated but then nodded, needing the distraction. "Yeah, okay. Just for a bit."

As they walked down the corridor, Carly took a deep breath. "Dante, I can't imagine the pain you're feeling. Losing Sam, and now all of this with Lulu."

He stopped, meeting her gaze. "It's more than pain, Carly. It's fear. What if she doesn't come back? What will I tell Rocco? Charlotte?"

Carly's heart ached for him. "They'll need you, too. You can't do this alone. Let us help you."

Dante nodded slowly, a flicker of vulnerability crossing his face. "I know. It's just hard to let people in when I'm feeling this way."

GENERAL HOSPITAL - LOCKER ROOM

Elizabeth stormed into the locker room, her entire body trembling with anger. The confrontation with Carly had been gnawing at her since the moment it ended. She had held herself together long enough to get through her rounds, but now, in the privacy of the locker room, her control snapped.

She threw her bag into the locker with a loud bang, frustration pouring out as she slammed the locker door shut. "Who the hell does she think she is?" she muttered angrily, pacing back and forth. She yanked open the locker again, shoving her hand inside to grab her water bottle, only to throw it across the room in a fit of rage. It clattered to the floor, echoing in the confined space.

"She's not going to win this. I'm done letting her get in my head." But despite her words, the emotions she had kept in check boiled over. The years of Carly's interference, her constant meddling, her belief that she had a claim on Jason—everything Elizabeth had fought so hard to keep buried threatened to consume her.

She kicked the locker, the metal reverberating from the force, and shouted, "I am so sick of her!"

"Whoa! Whoa! Biz!" Terry's voice cut through the chaos as she rushed into the locker room, alarmed by the noise. Elizabeth stopped mid-rant, her hands still clenched into fists, her breathing ragged. "What the hell is going on?"

Elizabeth turned to Terry, her face flushed with emotion. "Carly. She's what's going on. She just—she won't stop. She keeps pushing and pushing, and I'm so done with it!"

Terry approached cautiously, seeing the storm in her best friend's eyes. "Take a breath, Biz. What did Carly say this time?"

Elizabeth ran her hands through her hair, pacing again as she recounted the confrontation. "She cornered me in the hallway, started taunting me about Jason. Telling me that no matter what, Jason will always put her first. That I'm just a distraction. I tried to brush it off, Terry, I really did, but she knows exactly how to get under my skin. And the worst part? Part of me believes her! That's what's killing me."

Terry placed a gentle hand on Elizabeth's arm, pulling her out of her spiraling thoughts. "Hey, Carly's always known how to push your buttons. But you can't let her win. You and Jason have come too far for this."

"I know," Elizabeth whispered, tears of frustration gathering in her eyes. "But what if she's right, Terry? What if, deep down, Jason will never really be mine? What if he'll always choose her, no matter what?"

Terry's expression softened, and she led Elizabeth to the bench. "Carly's trying to bait you. She feels like she's losing control of Jason, so she's attacking you because you threaten her place in his life. But that's not the truth, Biz. Jason chose you. He's with you now."

Elizabeth wiped away a tear, her voice shaky. "But she won't stop, Terry. And I can't keep dealing with this. Every time I start to feel secure, she finds a way to tear it down."

Terry took a deep breath, thinking for a moment. "You know what? You need to tell Jason."

Elizabeth looked at her, surprised. "What?"

"You have to tell him," Terry insisted. "You can't keep this from him. If Carly is actively trying to sabotage things, Jason needs to know so he can put a stop to it."

Elizabeth shook her head, her frustration still palpable. "I don't want to drag him into this. He's already dealing with so much."

"And what about you?" Terry pressed, her voice soft but firm. "You're dealing with a lot too. Jason can't protect you from Carly if he doesn't know what she's doing. This isn't just about you anymore, Biz. It's about your family. He deserves to know so you both can face her together."

Elizabeth took a shaky breath, realizing Terry was right. Carly wasn't going to stop, and Elizabeth couldn't keep hiding this. If she and Jason were going to build a future together, he needed to know the full extent of Carly's interference.

"Okay," Elizabeth whispered, her voice hoarse. "I'll call him."

Terry nodded, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. "Good. And whatever happens, Biz, don't let Carly make you doubt what you have with Jason. He loves you. That's real. And it's stronger than whatever hold Carly thinks she has on him."

GENERAL HOSPITAL - LULU'S ROOM

Back in Lulu's room, as the machines hummed softly, Dante returned, determined to keep talking to her. He resumed his chair by the bedside, holding her hand tightly. "You always said we were a team, Lu. And I'm still here. I promise I won't give up on you."

Suddenly, he noticed her eyelids fluttering. "Lulu?" His heart raced. "Please, come back to me."

The machines beeped steadily as he watched in awe. "I know you're in there. Just give me a sign. Squeeze my hand or something!"

For a moment, the world fell silent, and he felt a gentle squeeze. Dante's breath caught in his throat. "Lulu! Can you hear me? Squeeze my hand again!"

Another squeeze, slightly stronger this time. Tears streamed down Dante's cheeks as he felt the flicker of hope ignite into a flame. "That's it! Keep fighting, my love. We're going to get through this together."

HOSPITAL LOBBY

Outside, Sonny and Carly waited, their expressions filled with concern and hope. Sonny checked his watch, knowing they needed to be there for Dante. "We should head back in. He needs us."

"Yes," Carly agreed. "He needs to see that he's not alone."

As they walked back toward the room, the energy shifted, a sense of anticipation thickening in the air.

GENERAL HOSPITAL - LOCKER ROOM

Elizabeth stood up, wiping the remaining tears from her cheeks. She pulled out her phone, her heart pounding as she dialed Jason's number. The phone rang a few times before Jason picked up, his voice warm and familiar.

"Hey, Elizabeth," Jason said, sounding calm. "Everything okay?"

Elizabeth hesitated for a moment, trying to gather her thoughts, before she finally spoke. "Jason, I...I need to talk to you about something. It's about Carly."

There was a pause on the other end before Jason responded, his tone immediately more serious. "What happened?"

Elizabeth clenched her fists, her anger simmering again as she recalled Carly's words. "She confronted me today, at the hospital. She...she said some things, Jason. She said that no matter what happens, you'll always choose her. That I'm just a distraction."

Jason was silent for a moment, processing her words. "Elizabeth, I—"

"I didn't want to tell you," Elizabeth interrupted, her voice trembling slightly. "But I can't keep pretending this isn't affecting me. She's trying to drive a wedge between us, Jason. And I don't know if I can handle this anymore."

Jason's voice was calm but firm. "You don't have to handle it alone, Elizabeth. I'll deal with Carly. This has gone too far."

Elizabeth let out a shaky breath, relieved to hear him say that. "I just...I can't keep living in her shadow, Jason. I can't keep feeling like she's always going to have some kind of hold over you."

"She doesn't," Jason said firmly. "She's trying to stir things up because she feels like she's losing control, but that's not going to work. Not anymore."

Elizabeth closed her eyes, leaning back against the locker as she listened to him. "I don't want to lose you, Jason. But I also don't want to keep fighting this battle with her."

"You're not going to lose me," Jason reassured her. "We'll deal with Carly, together. I promise you, Elizabeth. She won't come between us again."

Elizabeth took another deep breath, feeling the weight lift just a little. "Okay," she whispered. "Thank you."

"I'll see you when you get home," Jason said softly. "We'll talk more then. But know this, Elizabeth—I'm with you. Always."

She smiled, a small, fragile smile, but it was genuine. "I know. I love you."

"I love you too," Jason replied before they hung up.

Elizabeth lowered the phone, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She wasn't alone in this. Not anymore. With Jason by her side, she could face whatever Carly threw at her.

Terry gave her a supportive smile from across the room. "See? Now you're not carrying this weight by yourself."

Elizabeth nodded, grateful for her friend's advice. "Thanks, Terry. I really needed that."

Terry stood up, giving Elizabeth a quick hug. "Anytime. Now go finish your shift so you can get home to your man."

Elizabeth laughed softly, the tension finally starting to ease. "I will."

GENERAL HOSPITAL - LULU'S ROOM

Carly stood by Lulu's bedside, her fingers absentmindedly adjusting the flowers on the windowsill as the steady beeping of the monitor filled the room. Her phone buzzed in her pocket, interrupting her thoughts. Glancing at the screen, she saw Jason's name and smirked, stepping out into the hallway.

She answered casually, "Hey, Jason! What's going on?"

Jason's voice was like ice, sharp and cold. "Get over to Elizabeth's. Now!"

Carly laughed, a mix of amusement and disbelief. "Why? Did Elizabeth run crying to you again?"

Jason's response was immediate, his voice low but laced with fury. "You need to stop, Carly! Don't even start with that crap. You're the problem here, not her."

"Oh please," Carly scoffed, her tone thick with condescension. "She's just insecure. She's always been jealous that I'm still in your life. You should be thanking me, Jason, not wasting time with her."

That was it. Jason exploded. "Jealous? You seriously think this is about jealousy?" His voice was razor sharp, seething with anger. "This is about you constantly crossing lines and sabotaging every damn thing I try to build! I'm DONE with your manipulative games."

"Manipulative?" Carly shot back, her tone defensive. "I'm just looking out for you—like I always have. Someone has to, because clearly Elizabeth can't."

Jason's fury only grew. "Looking out for me?" His voice dripped with contempt. "You're not looking out for me—you're smothering me! If you gave a damn about me, you'd respect what I want, but no, it's always about you, Carly! You don't care what I need, you only care that I'm not bending over backward for you anymore."

Her eyes narrowed, the venom in her tone increasing. "So now you're just going to walk away from everything we've been through? For her?"

"Don't twist this, Carly. This is me taking my life back." His voice was full of unrelenting intensity. "You have disrespected Elizabeth, undermined her, and for what? To keep me under your thumb? You've been toxic for years, and I'm done pretending otherwise. I won't let you keep poisoning my life."

Carly's mouth dropped open in shock, her voice wavering as she scrambled for control. "After everything we've been through, I'm the one who's toxic?"

"Yeah," Jason snapped, cutting her off. "You don't get it, do you? You think you've been there for me, but you've only ever tried to control me. Every time I've tried to move forward, you've pulled me back—like you own me." His voice grew louder, more forceful. "Well, guess what? You DON'T own me, Carly! You've never had that right."

Her voice shook with rage, but Jason cut her off again before she could argue. "You think I'm going to keep letting you treat Elizabeth like she's beneath you? That you're the queen of my life? You are nothing but a selfish, insecure brat who can't stand the idea of not being the center of attention!"

"Jason—" she tried to interject.

"No, I'm talking now," Jason growled. "You think belittling her is going to make me come running back to you? You are the one who is pathetic. You're acting like a child throwing a tantrum because you're not getting your way. Well, newsflash, Carly—your little act isn't working anymore."

Carly's face twisted in disbelief. "You're really going to do this? After everything we've been through, you're just gonna throw me away for her?"

Jason's voice was final, cold as steel. "You've done this to yourself. I'm setting boundaries, and if you can't respect them, then we're done. I won't let you keep wrecking my relationship with Elizabeth. Not anymore."

She let out a bitter laugh, her voice filled with venom. "Oh, so this is how it's gonna be? You think Elizabeth is so perfect? Fine, I'll leave you two alone. But you're gonna regret this, Jason."

Jason's anger boiled over, his voice rising to a near shout. "I don't care what you think anymore! I don't owe you anything! You think I need you in my life? I'm done with you manipulating me, pulling the strings. You're NOT the center of my world anymore, Carly, and you never will be again. Stay the hell away from me, and stay the hell away from Elizabeth!"

Before she could respond, Jason hung up, the fury still burning in his chest. His hands trembled as he shoved his phone back into his pocket, adrenaline coursing through his veins. For the first time, he had put Carly in her place, and he wasn't going to let her ruin his life any longer.

GENERAL HOSPITAL - BACK IN LULU'S ROOM

Dante's heart raced as he watched Lulu's eyelids flutter again, this time more insistently. "Please, Lu, come back to me," he urged, his voice trembling with hope.

Carly stepped back into the room just as Lulu's eyes slowly opened, revealing the faintest glimmer of recognition.

"Dante?" she whispered, her voice fragile yet filled with warmth.

Dante's heart soared as he leaned closer, tears streaming down his face. "Yes! I'm here, Lulu. I'm right here."

The room erupted in an overwhelming surge of emotion as Sonny and Carly exchanged shocked glances, their hearts swelling with relief.

Lulu blinked, her gaze shifting between them, confusion etched on her features. "What… what happened?"

"You've been in the hospital, but you're waking up now," Dante reassured her, his voice a mix of disbelief and joy. "We thought we lost you, but you fought back."

Lulu's gaze softened, and she reached for Dante's hand, the warmth of their connection igniting the room. "Dante, I…"

Sonny stepped back, letting the moment between them unfold, a bittersweet smile on his face.

"You're safe now, Lu. You're going to be okay," Dante said, his heart full. "We're all going to be okay."

As tears of joy filled the room, the three of them embraced the fragile miracle of love, resilience, and the promise of a new beginning.

WEBBER/MORGAN HOME

The familiar sound of the front door closing echoed through the house as Elizabeth stepped inside, her heart still racing from the confrontation at the hospital. Carly's words lingered like a dark cloud, but Elizabeth was determined not to let them break her. She was done letting Carly's manipulations affect her.

Jason was waiting for her in the living room, standing with his arms crossed, tension radiating off him. His expression hardened the moment she entered. "Hey," he said, his voice steady but a storm brewed beneath it.

"Hey," Elizabeth replied, taking a deep breath. "I'm glad you're here."

Jason cut straight to the point, his tone unwavering. "I talked to Carly right after you called me." His jaw tightened, his anger simmering just beneath the surface. "I told her she's done. She's not going to interfere in our lives anymore."

Elizabeth's heart swelled with gratitude, but she could see Jason's frustration still simmering. "You did? Jason, thank you. She had no right to come to the hospital and—"

"She had no right to come at you, period." Jason's voice sharpened, his anger more evident now. "She's been pushing you around for too long. I made it clear to her: she's not controlling me anymore. I won't let her dictate who I am or what we have."

Elizabeth stepped closer, feeling the fire in his words, the intensity of his protection. "It was hard hearing her say those things. Like I'm just in the way, like she'll always be first."

Jason shook his head fiercely, stepping toward her with purpose. "No. Carly's always played these games, making you feel like you're second, like I'll always choose her. But I told her—she's wrong. You are my priority, Elizabeth. And I'm not letting anyone, not Carly, not anyone, tear us down again."

Elizabeth's breath hitched, feeling his words sink deep into her. She could see the change in him—he wasn't just saying it; he meant it. "I've been afraid, Jason. Afraid that no matter how strong we try to be, she'll always find a way back in."

Jason stepped closer, taking her hands, his voice soft but resolute. "I know. But I'm done letting her, or anyone, have that power over us. Carly has no place in this anymore. This is about us, not her. I'm not living for anyone else anymore—only for you, for our family."

Elizabeth met his gaze, her heart racing. "I don't want to feel like I have to fight for you. Not against Carly. I just want us to be solid, to stand together."

Jason's expression softened as he brushed a thumb across her cheek. "You don't have to fight anymore, Elizabeth. I'm setting boundaries—for real this time. Carly's not coming between us again. I won't let her. I'm making sure you never feel second, not to her or anyone."

Tears filled Elizabeth's eyes, her heart swelling with the certainty in his words. She could feel the weight lifting, replaced by something stronger. "It means everything to me, hearing you say that. I can see you're serious about this. I can feel it."

Jason nodded, the fierce determination still burning in his eyes. "I am. I'm not just talking anymore, Elizabeth. I'm acting. And that means putting us first—making sure we're protected from anyone trying to tear us apart." He took a deep breath, his tone softening. "And with the kids coming home soon for winter break...I've been thinking. It's time we start planning our wedding. We've been focused on healing, but it's time to focus on building now."

Elizabeth blinked, her heart skipping a beat. "Our wedding?" she repeated, the idea wrapping around her like a warm embrace. "You really want to start planning?"

"Absolutely." Jason's face broke into a rare smile, the weight of his anger lifting. "I want to build a future with you. I want us to do this right, to have everything we've dreamed of—for us, for the kids. No more waiting."

Elizabeth's smile grew as she realized the shift in him. He wasn't just saying the words—he was stepping up, truly making her his priority. "It feels like we're finally moving forward, doesn't it? Like we're building something real, something solid."

Jason's gaze softened as he nodded. "We are. And we'll be stronger than ever. No more looking back, no more letting anyone, especially Carly, pull us apart."

Her arms wrapped around him tightly, her heart full. "I love you, Jason. I just want us to be solid, no matter what comes our way."

"I love you too," he murmured, his voice steady, holding her close. "And we will be. I'm making sure of that. No one's coming between us again. I promise."

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the weight of the day slowly lifted, replaced by the unshakable certainty that they were stronger together.

Elizabeth leaned in closer, her breath warm against his ear. "You know, with all this talk of weddings... maybe we should celebrate. Just the two of us."

Jason raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Oh really? How do you want to celebrate?"

Elizabeth grinned, her fingers trailing down his chest, the touch familiar and electrifying. "Maybe with a little more than just wedding plans." Her voice dropped to a teasing whisper. "A little... frisky celebration?"

He chuckled softly, leaning closer, their lips almost brushing. "I could definitely get on board with that. You always know how to light a fire."

"Good," she whispered, pulling him closer, feeling the heat radiating between them. "Because I'm done with the insecurities. After everything... I want you to know how much I want you. No holding back."

Jason's gaze darkened with desire, but his expression softened, touched by her words. "I want you too, more than you know." He brushed a thumb gently over her cheek, his voice tender. "Let's not just make plans for the future—let's make tonight ours."

With a breathless smile, Elizabeth closed the gap between them, pulling him into a kiss. The world outside them faded, replaced by the warmth and intensity of their shared connection. They had faced so many challenges, so much pain, but this—this moment—was a reminder of how far they'd come. Tonight was for them, a celebration of their love and all that they were building together.

As they broke the kiss, Jason took her hand, leading her toward the stairs. The air between them was charged, filled with the weight of their past and the hope of what was to come. Each step felt like a testament to the battles they had fought—against their own doubts, against the circumstances that had torn them apart time and time again.

Once they reached the bedroom, Jason turned to her, his eyes intense but filled with a tenderness that made her heart flutter. He closed the door behind them, shutting out the world and all its complications. This moment was just for them.

Wrapping his arms around her waist, Jason pulled her close, his hold both firm and gentle. Their lips met again, the kiss deeper this time, as if they were rediscovering one another in ways they hadn't allowed before. Elizabeth felt the heat of his body against hers, the familiar sensation that had once been a source of pain now filling her with comfort and longing.

"I've missed this," Jason murmured against her lips, his voice low and thick with emotion. "Just being with you, without all the walls between us."

Elizabeth smiled softly, her fingers tracing the familiar contours of his face. "Feels like we've been fighting those walls forever—everything keeping us apart."

Jason's hands cradled her face, his thumb brushing tenderly across her cheek. "All the doubts, the danger... the things I thought would protect you. But tonight, it's just us. No barriers, no one pulling us away."

He kissed her again, slower this time, savoring the way they fit together. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. Their bodies pressed together, the heat and tenderness between them a reminder of everything they'd fought for—everything they were afraid they might lose forever.

When their lips parted, Elizabeth smiled, her eyes glimmering with a warmth she hadn't felt in so long. "Do you remember the last time we were here?"

Jason chuckled softly, a rare smile lighting up his face. "How could I forget? It was intense... maybe too intense."

Elizabeth grinned, her voice soft yet playful. "That's us, Jason. We're intense—always have been."

Jason's eyes softened as he brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. "Yeah, but now... it's different." He paused, his voice deepening with sincerity. "We're finally as one. No walls. No holding back. It's just you and me—together, like we were always meant to be."

Elizabeth's heart fluttered at his words, and she leaned in, her lips brushing against his. "No more waiting, no more doubts," she whispered, her breath mingling with his. "Just us."

He swept her into his arms, carrying her to the bed, the intensity between them building with each step. The air was thick with unspoken promises, but it wasn't just about passion—it was about healing, about coming back to the love that had always been there, even when they'd tried to deny it.

Jason laid her down gently, his eyes dark with desire but also filled with a tenderness that made her heart swell. He lowered himself beside her, his fingers tracing along her arm, sending shivers down her spine. "I want to explore every part of you," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.

Elizabeth smiled, rolling onto her side to face him. "Then let's make this a night to remember."

Their lips met once more, igniting a rush of passion that had been waiting to explode. Elizabeth tangled her fingers in his hair, pulling him closer. Every kiss, every touch, was a reminder that they were still here, still fighting for each other after everything they had been through.

Jason's hands roamed her body with a mix of reverence and desire. "I've never stopped wanting you," he whispered, his breath warm against her skin.

Elizabeth's heart swelled at his words, her hands roaming over the hard planes of his chest. "You make me feel alive, Jason," she whispered back. "Like we can overcome anything."

As their bodies pressed closer, the passion between them intensified, but so did the depth of their connection. Every touch, every whispered word, was a testament to the love they had fought so hard to protect. This wasn't just about the physical—it was about reclaiming what they had lost and building a future where they could finally be together, free from the doubts that had once held them back.

As they moved together, their love poured into every kiss, every caress. Jason's hands roamed over Elizabeth's body, igniting her senses, making her feel cherished, desired in a way that only he could.

"Jason," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion, "I need you."

He groaned softly in response, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered back, "I'm here. I'm yours."

With those words, the last of the walls between them crumbled, and they gave in to the raw, unrelenting passion that had been building for years. Their movements were slow and deliberate, filled with a love and understanding that had been hard-earned through years of pain and struggle.

When they finally collapsed beside each other, breathless and sated, Elizabeth felt a peace settle over her that she hadn't felt in years. Jason reached for her hand, lacing his fingers through hers, and they lay there in silence, hearts beating in sync.

Elizabeth turned her head to look at him, her heart swelling with love. "That was… everything."

Jason smiled softly, his thumb brushing over the back of her hand. "It was perfect."

And as they lay together, basking in the afterglow, they both knew that this wasn't just a momentary reunion—it was the beginning of something stronger, something unbreakable. They were healing, they were growing, and together, they were finally finding their way back to the love that had never truly left them.
