Chapter 2

[Meanwhile, at 11:02 PM, in CatDog's bedroom under their house, when in every hour, after Cat had already managed to finish his dinner of cooked fish, which he himself had caught from the river in the forest. He and Dog are now lying on their bed between the two headboards, and covered with a blanket, and doing something opposite to themselves before falling asleep. Cat is attentively reading a book with a lighted table lamp on the bedside table, and Dog is lying, with his left hand leaning on his head along his ear, and his left elbows on the pillow; however, he thinks a little concerningly and worriedly, and observantly watches the door of the balcony, when the full moon keeps shining in the sky.

Apparently, as Cat finished reading and carefully put it on the shelf of the bedside table, and tried to turn off the lamp to go to sleep, until suddenly, as he noticed Dog, who was still lying and watching the balcony door quite relatively pensive and worried than once.]

Cat: (Sigh) What's matter again, Dog? You always look and just feel so restlessly thoughtful and instantly look at the balcony door for an unknown detail, but this does not allow you and I to go to sleep peacefully.

Dog: Uh… I really don't know, Cat. But, it is obvious that my canine troublesome sense is still tingling again, as if it has consciously conveyed something further, as if some new danger will soon come to Nearburg or something.

Cat: Uhh… What exactly is this new danger supposed to be?

Dog: It's hard to pin down, Cat. But let's assume that it could be the same beastly wolf that almost attacked us in the forest 4 hours ago. Or someone else, if it was significantly related to the wolf. But in any case, I will not analyze further or find out who it was in general.

[Here there is a short pause, and every second of the pause is interrupted by Cat, who laughs incredulously and unconvincingly, what exactly Dog was talking about. But he immediately guessed what it was about.]

Cat: W-Wait, let me guess… eh… Oh! I guessed something, Dog. For your tangible prophetic knowledge, that rather some type of werewolf-something may appear in Nearburg. If am I right or not?

Dog: Uh…. Yeah?

Cat: (And continued to laugh in an incredulous way) Y-You made it up so inaccurately, Dog! But honestly, there are no such things of werewolves in Nearburg. However, they only show up in some movies, TV series, books and so on. But in our reality it doesn't happen like that anymore. 'Cause, you know for sure, it is absolute and untrue nonsense.

Dog: B…B-But, my canine troublesome sense doesn't lie at all about-

Cat: Nah! You just made something up from some crazy and ridiculous things that you trust so irrelevantly. It's probably like you've watched too many werewolf movies or something that you've started to trust it and are fearfully expecting the werewolves to come soon.

Dog: Really? Huh… Maybe I really inaccurately made up from some crazy and ridiculous things I trusted it so irrelevantly. (And sighed with conviction) You're right, Cat. Werewolves really don't exist at all. And besides, thanks for cheering me up.

Cat: You're welcome, pal. Just, as I quietly advise you, don't worry about anything, as you predicted when something like this would happen at all.

Dog: Yeah, Cat. I honestly promise that I will no longer worry about anything, even if it is unlikely to happen in general. And also, good night.

Cat: Good night, Dog.

[And before Cat quickly turned off the lamp, he and Dog lightly rested their heads on the pillows between the two headboards of their bed, closed their eyes, and fell fast asleep even on a quiet night with a full moon.]
