AN: Here's chapter 6. We're not at camp quite yet. I mean, we are but Percy's still unconscious. You could probably guess what the cliffhanger last chapter will lead to from the title alone. That's why I put last chapter that Sally didn't 'die' last chapter. I didn't say about any future chapters. We also get a little bit of context on why Percy ran away. If you still don't get it, it will be fully explained in a future chapter. I hope you enjoy.

Note: I don't really have a schedule for updates but the pace that I'm posting now, I will post all the chapters I have already written within the week and I will eventually not keep up. Therefore, I will only update 2-3 times a week now. Next update would probably be on Thursday or Friday.

I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. All credit goes to Rick Riordan.

Chapter 6: No! Not Sally!

I turned to the source of the sound and saw something that brought tears to my eyes.

A beautiful woman laid on the ground. She had long brown hair and soft blue eyes. Her hair was matted with blood and her beautiful skin was covered in scrapes and bruises. I knew who this was, even after all these years, I will never forget that woman.

It was my mom, Sally Jackson.

A door laid broken in front of her. Clearly, she was thrown through the door.

I looked around my surroundings once again and I recalled where this is. I remembered that this was our old apartment complex before I ran away. But who would do this?

Was it Gabe? Did he continue to hit her after I left? If so, why hadn't she left him.

"Sally Jackson. Come with us and this will hurt so much less." I recognized that voice.

A figure walked out of the door. It had leathery skin, large wings, and clawed hands. Though this time, it was holding a flaming whip.

It was Mrs. Dodds.

But why would a monster attack her? This wasn't supposed to happen. Monsters should leave mortals alone. Without me, monsters should not have been attacking my mother.

My mother shakily stood up. "What do you want?"

"I told you sweetie. We want you to come with us but you are being very uncooperative."

'What would Mrs. Dodds want with my mom?' 'Will she be bait to lure me into a revenge plot to kill her?'

As I was mulling over my thoughts and being terrified of my mother's safety, two more figures emerged from the room. They looked similar to Mrs. Dodds and brandishing the same flaming whips.

Mom said, "All three furies? I should feel honored." We were similar in many ways. When we're stressed, we get extremely sarcastic. I always loved that about her, no matter the situation, she could still lighten the mood. This time though, I wish she wouldn't aggravate 3 monsters who expressed how much they wouldn't care harming her while she is weaponless and hurt.

"So, come on. Let's do this the easy way and you come with us peacefully." The fury to the left of Mrs. Dodds said.

My mom's response was to run and the furies gave chase. As fast as my mom is, the furies just easily caught up to her.

A fury tackled her and they went tumbling into a window. The window glass shattered from the impact sending my mom and the fury falling..

'NO!' I screamed, but my voice seemed to have vanished as I helplessly watched my mom and the fury fall off the side of the building.

I went over to the window and looked down. I saw the streets of Manhattan but no sign of my mother.

Maybe this wasn't real, maybe it was all a nightmare. But I knew better. Demigod dreams could be really useful for getting information, but it could also show you events you would rather have never seen. They allow you to see into occurances during the present, past, and maybe even the future.

I spun around, intent on going down to check, but I saw I was no longer in the apartment complex.

I was in what looks to be the interior of a cabin. There was a pingpong table on one side surrounded by chairs. Stairs that lead to a higher floor.

I looked through a window to see the most breathtaking view I have ever seen in my life.

It was a view of what I think is the Northern shore of Long Island. A valley marched all the way up to the glistening water about a mile away.

The distance between them was filled with buildings designed in Greek architecture. Children wearing orange t-shirts ran around. Some were doing archery, sword fighting, lessons, wrestling. There were even kids who were climbing a wall that was spewing lava at the top.

I realized this must be Camp Half-blood. Grover told me some things about the layout and it checked out. The surroundings look more like the start of autumn than summer so it's either the camp has weird weather or this is from the past.

You never know with demigod dreams.

My attention was drawn to a person in the middle of the room. It was Chiron.

He was in his centaur form. He was looking through a bunch of papers when he got up.

He started walking up the stairs.

My vision blurred for a bit. When it cleared, I wasn't in the cabin anymore.

I was in some sort of attic. It had various Greek items. Armors with cobwebs, once bright shields dusty and rusted, there were even monster heads in jars like a reptilian looking head labeled HYDRA HEAD #1, WOODSTOCK, N.Y., 1969.

Chiron was standing in the far end of the room looking like he's contemplating something.

Suddenly, green mist enveloped the room. The source of the mist was a decrepit, rotting body. The eye sockets were hollow, sunken, and empty while the skin looked more like jerky than tissue. A raspy voice echoed across the room.

I am the Oracle of Delphi. Speaker of the Prophecies of the Great God Apollo, Slayer of the Mighty Python. Approach, seeker, and ask.

"What must I do to ensure the success of this housecall?" Chiron asked.

The same raspy voice echoed across the room.

The half-blood daughter receiving your housecall

Shall find what were stolen and return them all

But give her the sword of the banished daughter

Lest she be subjected to Hades' slaughter

The mist returned to the corpse looking like dirt being sucked by a vacuum cleaner.

My vision started to darken as the dream ended.

I opened my eyes slightly. My mind is still foggy.

I stared up at a blonde girl with princess curls.

When she saw I opened my eyes she asked, "What will happen during the summer solstice?"

"What?" I croaked.

She looked around for a second. "What's going on? What was stolen? We've only got a few weeks."

"I'm sorry…" I responded. "I don't…"

There was a knock on the door. The girl's head immediately snapped to it then she filled my mouth with pudding. I drifted back to sleep.

AN: There's the chapter. How was it? Don't worry, Sally will return to the world of the living... maybe. And by the way, what do you think of the prophecy? It's pretty straight forward. Sorry that this is a short chapter. Please review, I want to read your feedback so I can improve on my writing or to get motivation to write.
