A giant puppet looking like head with a round black nose appeared in front of them. "Oh, hey fellas!" he exclaimed. Branch prepared to strike, while Sora and Poppy screamed.
"Welcome to Vacay Island, brah," the head said. He has no ears.
"Hey, hey," the citizens started singing. "Hey, hey. When you're on a holiday, you can't find the words to say. All the things that come to you. And I wanna feel it too. On an island in the sun, we'll be playing, having fun. Hanging makes me feel so fine I can't control my brain."
One of the citizens smashed another into the sand, made of yellow and gold glitter, with a volleyball. One of the beach balls floated up, with a long beak and small wings. "She call me Mr. Boombastic. Tell me Fantastic. Touch me on the back, she says I'm Mr. Ro-ro-romantic. Call me fantastic. Touch me on the back, she says I'm Mr. Ro-ro-romantic."
New birds joined in. "Smooth, just like a silk. Soft and cuddly, hug me up like a quilt. I'ma lyrical lover, no take me for no filth. With my vacation physique, yeah you know me well built."
This time a Troll came in, large, purple hair pushed back, with white clothes, surfing on the largest wave. "Sailing. It takes me away to where where I've always heard it could be. Just a dream and the wind to carry me. And soon, I will be free." He held down the last note.
His surfboard floated to the shore, carrying him with him. He picked up the board and walked away. "Welcome to Vacay Island. We have many attractions, feel free to look around," he said, waving a hand.
"Hey, no wait," John said, running after him. The others followed him. "Hey, uh-"
"What you want something?" the Troll asked. "Here, take a menu. You can order anything except for the shrimp. Don't ask me why." He started writing on a clipboard, then handed it back to a bug. "What? No," John said. "Spruce, it's me!"
"Spruce?" the Troll asked, stopping.
"Spruce?" Sora asked. Branch nodded.
"Sorry, I go by Bruce now," Spruce said, walking again. "I decided to leave my band days behind me. I could get you an autograph if you wanted."
"No, Spruce, it's me, John!" John cried. "And I brought Branch."
That caught Bruce's attention. "Branch?" he asked, turning around.
"Oh no," Branch said, taking a step backwards.
"Branch!" Bruce cheered, running towards Branch with his arms extended. He picked him up and threw him into the air, the height of five Trolls stacked on each other. "I miss throwing you around like that, Branch!" Bruce exclaimed.
"I'm not a baby anymore!" Branch cried.
"Right, right, sorry," Bruce said. "You're still adorable." Branch grumbled and crossed his arms.
Bruce turned around. "What are you doing here? Actually, you know what?" he asked, before John got to answer, so he put his hand down, "I haven't even shown you my family yet!"
"F-family?" Branch asked.
"Yeah! This way!" Bruce cheered.
Bruce led them to the counter, where a tall, yellow, earless Troll stands, cleaning a plate. "This is my wife, Brandy. She's the woman of my dreams. The very tall woman of my dreams," Bruce said dreamily.
Brandy turned around. "Brandy, these are my brothers, John Dory and Branch," Bruce said, pointing to each one. "And his friends."
"Poppy! I'm actually his girlfriend." She elbowed Branch. John looked at her, mouth gaped.
"Sora," he waved, "Donald and Goofy."
"And this is Tiny," Branch said. "I really have no idea why he's here."
"Is he yours?" Brandy asked.
"What?" Branch asked, his face turning pink.
"What? No, come on, you're joking!" Poppy said, waving a hand and giggling.
Brandy giggled, but didn't answer. That made Poppy nervous, but she decided to not question. "How does it-" John started.
"Shh!" Branch shushed, covering John's mouth with both hands. John stared at Branch's hands, then glared at his brother. Goofy sighed of relief.
"I also want you to meet my kids," Bruce said.
"Kids?" Branch asked, a hint of happiness in his voice. "That's right!" Bruce cheered. "Your nephews and niece!"
"I have a niece?" Branch asked, smiling.
On cue, the kids all came storming in through the different doors on the sides, bombarding their father with questions on the counter. "Daddy! Daddy! I have pink eye!" one of the kids exclaimed.
"Oh my Pink Eye!" Branch cried. Tiny swore, but Goofy covered Sora's ears. "Oh my-" Poppy cried. John just took a step backwards.
"Anyway," Bruce asked, stepping away from his kid, "what are you guys doing here?"
"We came to get the band back together," John said.
"Nope, no, can't do, I'll have to pass," Bruce said. "Get these guys meals to go!"
"Spruce, Floyd's in trouble," John said.
"Floyd," Bruce muttered.
"He needs us to save him. Together," John said.
"Okay, for Floyd," Bruce said.
"Ooh, we should practice!" John said.
"Practice?" Branch asked. But Bruce and John had already walked off.
"Daddy was never in a boy band, was he?" one of Bruce's kids asked.
"Oh, he was," Brandy replied, dreamily. "He was in THE boy band."
"Just keep watching, sweetie!" Bruce called. "I'll show you!"
Branch, Sora, Goofy, Poppy, Tiny, and Donald walked up to where the two Trolls gathered, along with all the Vacaytioniers, watching. "You're not going up there?" Sora asked.
"Why?" Branch asked.
"Uh, I thought you'd want to dance with your brothers?" Sora replied.
"Oh, no, I totally get it," Poppy said. "You just got back in touch with your brothers so you don't feel entirely ready to dance with them yet because it's too much pressure," Poppy said, nearly all in one breath. "I get it."
"No, I-wait, what?" Branch asked.
"Yeah, no I totally understand," Poppy said.
"I, uh-" Branch said. He wanted to say something. Sora could tell. But no matter how many times those wheels turned in his head, nothing came out. "Ugh, fine," Branch said.
Branch walked in the center of his two brothers, who had their backs turned. Sora pulled in closer to Poppy. "How are they?" he asked.
"You've never heard of BroZone?" Poppy whispered, shocked.
"Uh...they weren't a popular band where I'm from," Sora said, earning a nod from Donald.
"Oh my gosh, BroZone sounded wonderful then!" Poppy cheered quietly. "I just KNOW they'll sound good now."
Poppy pushed a cassette into a cassette player, and music started. "My girl's like candy, a candy treat," John started. "She knocks me right up, off my feet."
Bruce slid in. "She's so fine, as can be. It's like a perfect harmony."
"Candy girl," they sang together, excluding Branch. "You are my world. You look so sweet. Come back to me. All I know, when I'm with you, you got the right stuff, baby."
Sora started tapping his foot. "You're right, they are great!" Sora said.
"Love the way you turn me on."
"Woah, oh, oh," Poppy added.
"You got the right stuff, baby. You're the reason why I sing this song." There was a pause for the music for a moment before Branch, joined in. "You're all I ever wanted," they all started. "You're all I ever needed, yeah. So tell me what to do now, 'cause I want you back. Doom, doom, doo, da da. Doom, doom, doom, da da. BroZone's back, alright."
"Whether your a mother or whether you're a brother, we're stayin' anlive, stayin' alive," John and Branch sang, leaving Bruce to do backup vocals. "Feel the city breakin', and everybody's shakin', we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive."
"Oh, oh, oh, oh," John and Bruce sang. "Stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Oh, oh, oh, oh."
"BroZone's really back, alright," Branch added.
"Stayin' alive, stayin' alive."
"Doom, doom, doom, da da. Doom, doom, doom, da da. I want you back," they all finished.
Author's Note
Best song in the whole movie, first of all. Secondly, I changed Poppy back to the way she was in the first one. I like that Poppy better than World Tour. That, and Holiday in Harmony Poppy are my favorites, 'cause she reminds me of movie 1 Poppy.
