Dipper was terrified. He paced around the attic restlessly as his mind whirled with throughts. It's been a couple weeks since he found out that he'd been living with a DEMON since the start of the summer! Worst of all, his sister was now pining for said demon! But how could he defeat someone like THAT? There was only one way to find out. "I need to steal Gideon's journal." He said in a serious tone. He knew from the chubby boy's talk with Maddie that Gideon either knew about the journal or had one and he was banking on the second. As Dipper thought of this, avoice whispered into his ear.
"YOUR SOUL IS MINE!" Dipper screamed in fear immediately, causing the source of the voice to burst into laughter. It was Maddie, the very demon he had to defeat. "Sorry, Dips. You're just too easy." Dipper grumbled grumpily.
"If only you weren't an all powerful demon, I'd be less scared." Whispered Dipper in a serious tone, justifying his fear to himself before Maddie tilted her head at him. "Nothing! It was nothing...uhh, I think Grunkle Stan is calling for me. I gotta go." Without even waiting for a response, the boy dashed out of the room. Once the boy was gone, Maddie's expression turned deathly serious as a yellow triangle floated up beside her from the shadows.
"He knows." Said Bill calmly crossing his arms. Maddie nodded slowly with a dejected expression. "We might need to kill him." He said nonchalantly, causing his daughter to choke on her own spit. The tomboy quickly glared at her father who twirled his bow tie in response. "Woah woah! I was joking! I still need him for my plans, remember?"
Maddie rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She said with a frown. "Got any dating advice? Mabel asked me on a date." The tomboy asked tiredly as her shoulders slumped forwards. A conflicted look appeared onto the triangle's face as he got lost in thought. "How did we manage to get into situationships with this family TWICE?"
Bill blinked, snapping back into reality before letting out a hearty chuckle. "It gets a lot weirder when IT happens." He said, a wistful loom in his eyes. "The moment you realize you kinda like them too. And then you get drunk at a bar after they leave you for being just a silly guy."
"Says mister "I have some kids in need to make into corpses."." Replied Maddie as she headed for the door.
Bill burst into laughter. "And despite everything, you still love me." He said pushing his finger into his cheek to make an "adorable" face and Maddie couldn't help but smile as she left the room.

Dipper took a deep breath as he stared at Gideon's home from a fair distance away. "Am I really about to break into some kid's house and steal from him?" He muttered under his breath before he heard a voice from beside him.
"Sometimes, it's what you have to do to stay in this crazy game called life." Dipper screamed as he turned to the voice. It was Stan. "Hello."
"Grunkle STAN?! What are you doing here?" Asked the boy with widened eyes.
"I heard you muttering about stealing something and I have to say, I'm very disappointed that you-" said Stan with a deep frown, that caused Dipper's gaze to fall to the ground in shame. "didn't properly prepare for the heist." The old man finished before placing down a bag of tools that made Dipper's expression to transform into a giant grin. "Now, what's the plan?"
Dipper placed a hand on his chin with a serious expression. "We need a distraction." He said calmly. "Something to get Gideon away from his room so I can steal the jour- I mean the thing."
Stan hummed as he fell deep in thought. What would be the perfect distraction here? His eyes scanned the Gleeful home searching for any weakness until his eyes fell on the sign on their front door saying "pardon the garden". His eyes narrowed as a masterful plan hatched in his wicked mind. His quickly pulled a shovel from the tools bag and spoke in a menacing tone. "I will pardon nothing!"

Meanwhile, with Maddie and Mabel who was wearing a heart sweater. The two girls sat down in the living room across from each other at a round table with a pig in a chef costume next to them. "And now, courtesy of chef Waddles, dinner is here!" Mabel said as she pulled out two plates of what can only be explained as rainbow spaghetti on plates.
"Hey, you gonna finish that?" Asked Bill, floating beside Maddie with a smile. "I remade this stuff in the mindscape and I gotta tell ya, it's amazing!" A horrified expression crept onto Maddie's face, causing Bill to roll his eye. "Oh just try it! It won't kill you, probably." He said before taking a pause during which his expression quickly turned dark. "On second thought, don't eat it...or touch it with your bare skin or stare at it directly for too long. Maybe keep it out of breathing distance while you're at it."
The tomboy's right eye twitched at her father's words as she stared at Mabel with a forced smile. "I don't think I'm hungry right now." She said pushing the rainbow spaghetti to the side. In response, Mabel immediately threw her own plate out the window...literally.
"So, tell me more about yourself." Said the girl in a dreamy tone as she rested her arms on the table. Maddie chuckled nervously.
"We've been friends for years, Mabel." She said dodging the question as Bill ate popcorn in the background. "Surely you know me by now." Her father started laughing from behind her.
"It's funny because you're a liar." He said cheerfully before shoving more popcorn into his eye/mouth. Maddie struggled to not roll her eyes at his antics before Mabel spoke.
"Yeah," she said with a smile as she played with her hair. "but I wanna know you...romantically." Maddie quickly started sweating as Mabel sent a wink her way. Bill grumbled from the background, narrowing his eyes at Mabel.
"I...uh- like-" said Maddie nervously as her eyes darted around the room to find an answer. "...things."
"I like things too!" Exclaimed Mabel cheerfully with the biggest smile she could muster. "We have so much in common! What's your favorite movie?"
Maddie quickly scoured her brain for a movie that was in this dimension and not from her old one and found...very little. "Seriously?! Not even one!" She blurted out before her eyes widened as Mabel gasped.
"I love that movie too!" Lied Mabel cheerfully, or at least had watched a terribly named movie. Either way, Maddie was done.
"I'm sorry, Mabes." Said the tomboy with an exhausted. "I can't do this anymore." Mabel blinked.
"It's okay." She said cheerfully. "We continue the date tomorrow!" She added with her usual bounciness, causing Maddie to groan.
"I meant permanently, Mabel." Replied Maddie, her shoulders slumping forwards. "I'm not a romance person. I haven't been this caught this off guard since the incident. I can't act properly!"
"You don't need to act-" said Mabel before Maddie slammed her hand on the table, cutting her off.
"ALL I do is ACT, Mabel!" Said the tomboy clutching her hair in a desperate tone. "I lie and cheat to get what I want. I don't feel guilty for being a liar, but i- you deserve better than me." She added rubbing her own arm. "Someone who doesn't lie all the time. Someone who didn't charm you for their own purposes." She continued before letting out a small sigh. "If I go through with this, I'll feel like I'm manipulating you to love me."
Mabel raised a brow. "But you're not, right?" She asked bluntly as if it was natural, causing Maddie to freeze.
"I- I mean- it's- I'm- yeah, but- UGH!" Maddie stammered to find an counterargument to no avail. The tomboy looked Mabel in the eyes and spoke. "What do you even see in me?"
"Your pretty face." Replied Mabel bluntly, earning an unimpressed look from her date. "And you don't have a pushy or creepy personality like my failed ex boyfriends. You're very considerate of others and are a great person! Remember that time you scared Dipper's bullies?"
"It's mostly the face, isn't it?" Asked the tomboy with a mischievous smile and Mabel laughed nervously, causing Maddie to burst into laughter. "You're the most absurd person I've ever known."
"So, can we kiss now?" Asked Mabel nonchalantly, causing Maddie to blink.
"Woah woah. How about we take it slow-" She said before she felt lips on her cheek. Mabel already gave her a kiss, leaving the tomboy frozen in a daze.
"See you on our next date!" Exclaimed the girl, leaving the room as Maddie caressed the cheek Mabel had kissed. Her cheek slowly reddened as she processed what had just happened. Suddenly, Stan entered the room covered in dirt and soil.
"Uhh, kid? You alright?" He asked raising a brow. "Your face is a little red there."
"Yeah yeah. I'm fine." Replied Maddie absentmindedly, her focus still on her kissed cheek. "How are you?"
"Pretty great after we robbed that skank Gideon." He said cheerfully before his eyes fell on Mabel's rainbow spaghetti. "Hey, you gonna eat that?"
Maddie didn't reply.

Meanwhile, at the Gleeful home screaming and screeching echoed throughout the building as the two parents avoided a singular room. Inside that room was Gideon Gleeful, his face red with anger as he screamed. "IT'S GONE!" His journal! It was gone! The secret to ultimate power disappeared!
Gideon's breathing was quick and erratic. His room in tatters from searching. His entire body was shaking. "It's her! IT'S HER FAULT! THAT DEMON!" He screamed angrily. Yet no one answered. Only a shadow flew across his room barely inside his vision. "W-WHO'S THERE?! SHOW YOURSELF!"
Suddenly, ominous laughter echoed throughout every corner of the room. Gideon walked back in fear as the laughter continued, sweat falling down his cheeks before HE appeared. A yellow triangle with one eye, a top hat and a bow tie floated in front of him. "W-what are you?!" He said feeling vulnerable in front of the demon. Without his journal, he was helpless against this being.
"Call me...A FRIEND." Said Bill Cipher cheerfully, prompting a horrified expression from Gideon. "Oh, don't look at me like that Gideon. I haven't even done the teeth thing."
"The what?" Asked Gideon in confusion before Bill opened his hand and before the boy's eyes, his own teeth flew from his mouth to the demon's hand. Gideon screamed in fear at the sight of the demon holding his teeth, causing Bill to laugh maniacally before the demon returned the teeth to their original place. "W-what do you want from me?" He asked in a terrified tone.
"Woah woah woah! You weren't usually THIS easy to fold." Said Bill in surprise as he readjusted his bowtie. "I guess Mads really did a number on you."
"Y-you know her? That foul witch!" Exclaimed Gideon, his blood boiling as he thought of Maddie. Hearing this, Bill's eye twitched. "Once I get my hand on her weakness, I'll make her-" Suddenly, Bill's arm stretched forwards pinning the chubby boy to the wall.
"Pick your next word VERY CAREFULLY." Said Bill with an eye and body both red with rage. "Show some respect for a being higher than you'll EVER be in your MEANINGLESS LIFE." Gideon nodded vigorously, prompting Bill to turn yellow once again. "Good. Now, I'm here to help you." He said, getting the boy's attention. "I can help you circumvent the deal you have with Maddie and get you all the power you'll ever desire! And all I need from you is a small favor. We can discuss the details later. Now, do we have a deal?"
Suddenly, Bill's other hand extended towards him burning with blue flames reminding him of his deal with Maddie. His face reddened as he remembered her, giving him the push he needed.
"Deal."
