Hey everyone, hope youre still enjoying. I have some plans for the next chapter - we're wrapping this one up soon. :) 3
Olivia woke up at three in the morning feeling a little disoriented and bothered by the fact that Lexi hadn't woken up. She pulled the covers back and got up out of bed. She winced, feeling a cramp in her lower stomach. She continued down the hall to Lexi's room to check on her. She felt relief to see her baby sleeping soundly in her bed. She lifted the covers up over her that she had kicked off.
Olivia leaned over and kissed her forehead.
She went past Noah's room, noticing a light on. She poked her head in. "Babe?," Noah looked up from his bed. He had an arm tucked behind his head holding a book that he had almost finished.
"Why are you awake, Mom?"
"Why are you awake?," she asked, stepping in wincing again at another cramp.
"I got in to my book and then Lexi woke up at about midnight so I read her a story until she went back to sleep.
Olivia sat on the edge of his bed, "you're the best kid," she told him wearily. She leaned over and smoothed the bruise that was forming upon his upper cheek.
"Yeah I'm the best, I got suspended from school and punched some kid in the face a few times," he replied humourlessly. She understood why he was awake.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, sweetheart. We can make this right and you what you did was inherently from a good place, but it just affected some other people… you were trying to protect Kaci, the girl you love. That's valiant, maybe unnecessary but valiant all the same," she informed him gently.
"Mom? How do you know if it's right? Like, I really care about Kaci, but I don't know if I like her in that way."
Olivia was a little surprised. She thought for a second: "well," she began, "it's a feeling you get, like butterflies in your tummy, you know? You just feel weightless when they're around and they make you safe enough to be completely at ease with," she explained.
"When I kiss her… it's weird, I don't feel anything and I hate that I feel like that. It feels awkward and … not special."
She was surprised by how much information he was sharing. "I know I'm mom but … have you just kissed once or twice… or? Because at first it's not always amazing, it's awkward and uncomfortable and … feels weird."
"Maybe that's it," he replied. It's just been a few times but I just feel sad about it," he admitted.
"It's okay if you're not feeling it babe, don't try to force feelings that aren't there. Maybe it's awkward and uncomfortable because Kaci isn't quite ready either," she suggested, ignoring the discomfort she felt.
"Thanks Mom," he murmured.
She leaned over and kissed his forehead. "I always want you to feel comfortable to talk to me like this, babe. I'll always try to be helpful and not freak out about it."
"I know," he gave her a little smile.
She affectionately rubbed his back. "Get some sleep, okay? We're going to be getting up and going for a walk with Lexi in the morning and then you have a science exam to study for if I remember correctly."
"And just like that… back to uncool Mom," he teased with a cheeky little smile.
"Goodnight, Noah," she replied, getting up slowly and heading back down the hall toward her bedroom.
/
"Liv?" Trevor murmured, hearing her come back in to the room. "Everything ok?"
"Yeah," she whispered, "I'm just going to the bathroom."
Olivia sat for a moment, collecting herself. She was starting to worry a little about the cramp. Once she was done, she discovered something that made her insides turn cold. Blood. "Trev?" She called out. "Trev? Can you please come here?" She knew she sounded a little panicked, but she was, she felt sick.
She heard him call something back before there was a little silence as she inspected the spotting. "Are you okay?"
"No… can you please come in here?"
The bathroom door opened the second he heard the pain in her voice. "What is it?," he asked bleary-eyed, "what's wrong baby?"
"Ive had some cramps on and off all day and I just— I'm bleeding a little bit… what if- " her shaky voice dissolved in to tears.
She had folded over the toilet paper, not wanting to freak him out.
"Can you show me?," he asked, not even flinching by how personal she felt it could have been for him. She showed him the light red stained paper.
"I'll call Raia, baby don't panic, okay? It could be completely normal, we just have to ask the question."
"Okay," she nodded, sniffing.
"It'll be okay, I promise. Worse case scenario, we just jet down to the emergency department to get checked out, okay?" He watched her nod, looking up at him with her soulful eyes full of tears and despair at what it could possibly mean for the baby that she realised she was incredibly attached to.
He caressed her face, "its okay, just breathe, finish up here and come in to the room and just sit down and relax and I'll give Raia a call and we can tell her what's going on."
He left her with some privacy for a moment and went to the next room. He had an idea. He grabbed Olivia's phone and took it to her. "I know this sounds weird, but maybe take a pic, Raia might ask for it."
"Okay," Olivia nodded, trying to think straight and not panic.
He disappeared again and only moments later she closed the bedroom door and joined him. He pulled back the covers and patted her spot beside him. He held his phone in his hand and waited for his sister to respond. He yawned. "If she doesn't answer in five minutes, we'll see if we can get Finn or Sonny to come and sit with Noah and Lex while I take you to the hospital to get checked."
Before he could finish his sentence, his phone began to ring. "Hey, what's up? Did you shit the bed?"
"Sorry to call so late," he apologised, ignoring her joke. "Liv and I are a little worried about some cramping and spotting and I wanted some advice."
"Oh, is Liv there with you?"
"Yeah, you're on speakerphone, she's a little distressed right now," he told his sister, trying his best to stay calm for both himself and Olivia. He put an arm around her neck. A second later there was a FaceTime request. They could immediately tell that Raia was at work.
"Hey Liv," she smiled at her in the dim light of their bedside lamps.
"Hi," she tried to remain composed.
"Okay, I'm going to ask some questions… the cramping, on a scale of 1-10 how bad is it?"
"4 or a 5," she replied, "its enough to have noticed on and off."
"And the bleeding — have you had any bleeding before?"
"No, none."
Raia thought for a second, "Is it just a light pink, or brownish or and how much is there?"
"I made Liv take a photo," Trevor interjected, "just in case."
"Yeah, send me that picture, I'll tell you whether I think you should go get checked out," she replied.
Olivia picked up her phone and went through the pictures before hitting send. She disappeared for a second. "It looks light," she replied before she came back to the video chat. "Mmm, I think its okay, is this the first time you noticed any blood?"
"Yeah, but… before my shower I was wearing black brief so maybe it was happening earlier?"
"How long have you been cramping?" Raia asked.
"Like… since late afternoon," she replied, "but I just thought its everything kind of … moving around and stretching."
"It could be, give me a few minutes I'm going to run it past a doctor, I'll give you a call back." Without another word, she disappeared, hanging up. Olivia looked at Trevor, wanting to cry. "Why did I ignore it? I'm so stupid."
"Its okay, sweetheart," he stroked her hair, trying to disguise his own concern. "Whatever happens, I'm right by your side and we're going through it together, okay?"
She nodded, leaning against him. "This is why I was so scared of telling anyone," she remarked, "its like I'm jinxing it."
"You're not superstitious Liv, I know that for a fact. I love you and telling people didn't jinx anything. Sometimes life happens, but in this case we have nothing to be getting upset about, okay? We're going to wait for Raia to call back and then we are going to follow her directions."
She felt his hand affectionately rubbing circles on her back. She let her eyes close for a moment before drawing in a deep breath. She felt Trevor's lips on her forehead. She slid an arm around him, comforted by his presence, his closeness and his words.
He sat with her for a few moments in silence, letting her lean on him, allowing him to quietly and affectionately comfort her. It seemed to help. She was able to take long, deep breaths, controlling her panic.
His phone began to ring again. He picked it up, accepting the face time. "Hey…"
"Hi honey," She caught sight of Olivia and pouted, "guys, at this stage its nothing to worry about but the doctor suggested that you might go to the ER anyway if for no other reason but for your own assurance."
Olivia's eyes filled with tears. "I knew it was too good to be true…" she murmured.
"Olivia," Raia told her with seriousness, "I need you to listen to me and believe everything that's about to come out of my mouth, okay?"
She nodded slowly, trembling a little, trying to withhold her tears.
"Honey, everything is probably fine. Your spotting is very light, its pink, not bright red or dark — that's a good sign. The doctor and I just think that for the sake of my niece or nephew and your and Trevor's beautiful baby to be, you should get it checked and that way, you won't stay up all night thinking the worst. In two or three hours you'll have your answer and you can move on continuing to bake that baby - okay?"
"Raia wouldn't just tell us what we want to hear, she'll be honest with us always," Trevor added.
"Okay," Olivia nodded, wiping her eyes.
"Okay, I finish at 6am, give me a call if you need to or if you want me to speak to the doctor, give me a call I'll keep my phone in my pocket," she promised. "Let me know how you go."
"Thanks Raia," Trevor replied. "Love you, talk later."
Once Trevor hung up he turned to Olivia. "I'm going to call your work and see who's on and see if we can get someone to come and sit with Noah and Lexi. Are you okay?"
Olivia nodded. "Okay sweetheart. Why don't you put something on while I do that?"
"Thanks…" she murmured, getting up and making her way back to the bathroom to get the clothes that she had been wearing earlier. She pulled her leggings on and her t-shirt. She realised it was probably too cold to go without a sweatshirt. She looked around the bedroom until her eyes settled on Trevor's NYU sweater. It was big on her, but it was cozy and it smelled comforting; like him.
"What's going on?" Noah asked, appearing at Olivia's bedroom door. "Why is Dad getting Uncle Finn's son over here? Are you okay?"
"Oh, sweetie, I'm okay, I just need to go to the hospital to get checked out."
"Is it the baby?," he asked alarmed, "is the baby okay?"
"Raia seems to think so, but its good to check things out just in case," Olivia was trying her best to show calmness to her son.
"How do you know?," he asked, his eyes sweeping over her, trying to assess for some thing to be wrong.
"I've had some cramps and I'm bleeding a little, but its okay honey, I promise that there's no cause for worry, Raia just decided that its probably good for us to get a quick looking at and then we won't have to worry."
Noah stepped through the threshold and wrapped his arms around his Mom. "You must be so scared, Mom…" he murmured. She felt so blessed that her son was so emotionally intelligent and sensitive.
"I'm a little scared," she told him honestly, "its okay if you are too, but we'll be okay, no matter what happens, babe, we'll always be okay."
"I know but… I really, really love this baby already."
"Me too," she kissed him, "but Trevor and I will just go down to the hospital and I will text you as soon as I get a result."
"Are you familiar with Finn's son?" Trevor asked, wincing. "He said you are."
"Yeah," Liv gave him a weak smile. "Ken; he's a really nice guy."
"He was at the precinct after work and offered to come. Noah, kiddo, you should be asleep."
"Noah was up with Lexi after we went to bed and he was in bed reading before when I got up," she informed Trevor.
"I'll go and wait in my room," he told them, "please tell me as soon as you know something."
"Promise, babe. I love you."
"I love you too." He replied, holding Olivia close to him again.
/
Olivia couldn't deny that she was tired and it had been more than an hour of waiting. She was uncomfortable and tired and Trevor was starting to get frustrated. "You doing okay?," he asked, softly gathering her long brown locks and bringing them over her shoulder and out of her face.
"I'm just tired and this chair is giving me a sore back," she admitted. He looked around to the emptying waiting room. He shifted in his seat a little and picked up his coat that he had taken off and put on the spare seat beside him. He let go of Olivia and folded it up placing it on his lap.
"Lay your head," he told her patting make shift pillow.
She hesitated. "Sweetie, it's 4:45am, who knows how long this will take… just rest," he insisted. She stared at him for a second. "Cmon, let me take care of you, let me worry about everything, you just lay down and close your eyes, I'll rub your lower back and wake you if we get called up."
"K… thank you for being my rock," she murmured a little self consciously.
"Of course," he replied. "Just lean on me, if you just relax, I'll deal with the hard bits to take them
away for you," he gave her a weak smile. She loved him so much in that moment, she was so in love and appreciated him more than he could have ever known.
She placed a hand on his chest and leaned over to kiss his lips. He caressed her cheek with his forefingers.
She withdrew and did as he requested and got comfortable resting her head in his lap, curling up over a few empty chairs. She felt his hands stroking her hair as she closed her eyes. Her concerns alleviated somewhat over the fact that there was absolutely nothing she could do.
She trusted Trevor to take care of the hard conversations with the doctors, she didn't have it in her to try to explain everything, the whole situation had frozen her with fear for her unborn child. She wanted to sleep so that it would be over, so that maybe when she woke up she would be relieved to find it was just a bad dream.
Trevor was surprised by just how fast she managed to fall asleep. He could tell immediately by her arm going a little limp and her body became heavier. He settled back, resting his head on the wall. He checked his phone and saw a message from Noah. "Any news on Mom or the baby yet?"
"No kiddo, Mom is asleep here with me, we are still in the waiting room. Please try to get some sleep, I will text you as soon as there's anything to tell,"
Noah replied agreeing.
It was almost half past five in the morning when Olivia's name was finally called. He gently woke her up. A little disoriented, she sat up while the nurse waited patiently smiling in a comforting way. "Follow me through here and we will get you a cubicle," she told them. Trevor took Olivia's hand as he nervously guided her through the emergency department.
"I'm Rachael and I'm going to just take all of your vitals and then I'll grab some information for the doctor, okay?"
"Okay," Olivia replied.
"So, I'll get you to put this gown on," she held up a hospital gown, "you can pop your belongings in to this bag," she tapped a plastic bag on the end of the bed, "and when you're ready you can make yourself comfortable on the bed. I'll give you a few minutes of privacy."
"Thank you," Trevor answered. She pulled the curtain around the cubicle. Olivia glanced at Trevor a little bleary-eyed. He gave her a smile, "I've always thought you might look a bit sexy in one of these ass-less hospital gowns," he joked.
It was just a tiny burst of comic relief that she needed. She gave a little laugh. It cut through the nervousness she felt. She began to disrobe, leaving her bra and underwear on. Trevor helped her in to the gown and tied it at the back for her. He figured out how to lower the bed so she could get in to it more gracefully than climbing in. He fussed about, pulling the covers up over her.
"I'm okay, Trev, I promise."
"Good, I don't need you to worry, okay? Just relax and try to put all of your faith in to our healthy baby."
She nodded, "I'm trying."
The nurse came back, opening the curtains after checking that Olivia was decent. She took all of Olivia's vitals and noted them down on to her chart. "So, I want you to tell me a little about the cramping and the bleeding…"
Trevor jumped in, as promised, doing the talking for Olivia. The nurse at first didn't particularly like him interrupting a question she had asked, but Olivia was nodding with agreement. Trevor noticed immediately, the nurse's disdain for him and recognised how it may have looked controlling. "Sorry," he finished, "Liv is really tired and really scared, I know you asked her, but-"
"He is just trying to support me so I don't panic," she informed her.
"Oh, its okay, this is a first time pregnancy, I can understand your concern — but you did the right thing by coming in. I think I'll go and get the doctor and she will examine you and maybe ask a couple of similar questions, okay?"
Olivia agreed and they went back to waiting.
"You can sleep, Liv," Trevor told her, or at least try to relax and just close your eyes.
"What's the point? I'm too nervous to sleep now," she murmured. She reached for his hand. He stood up and got close to the bed and took her hand and gave it a squeeze. "What are we going to do if something is wrong?"
"If something is wrong we'll deal with it together," he told her gently, realising that she just needed some reassurance that even if something didn't go the way they wanted, that there was still an afterward, that he wouldn't run or blame her. "We'll be sad, Olivia, there's no doubt about that, but we'll manage." He paused, "but I don't think that's going to happen. I think we're being cautious because we love our baby."
She nodded, hanging on to every word he said.
The doctor arrived shortly after with Rachael the nurse. She introduced herself to Olivia and Trevor as Angela Reeves - the rostered OB GYN. "I feel stupid bothering you," Olivia finally blurted out.
"Oh, no, no, don't feel like that, I always tell all of my patients to call or come in if they're worried about anything."
"My sister is a nurse upstate," Trevor informed her, "We called her and she said that we should just come in to get checked."
"Good advice," she smiled warmly. "So, it looks like you have an appointment for late next week for your first sonogram and blood work," she remarked, "that's booked in here, it's with the other OB, but… I was thinking that maybe I'll do a quick exam if you're comfortable and then we might get you wheeled over and I can do a sonogram now, I know it's early, but it will pick up anything that we might need to look further in to."
Olivia glanced at Trevor, slightly panicked. "Do you think there could be?," she asked looking back to the doctor.
"Sweetheart," the doctor placed her hand warmly on Olivia's upper arm. "I don't actually think that there's anything wrong. Spotting is completely normal early in pregnancy. For the colour you've said it was-"
"I have a photo of the spotting," she said quickly, "I don't want to give you the wrong information,"
"Oh, sure let me see…"
Trevor grabbed Liv's phone and went through to find the image. He showed the doctor who briefly glanced at it. "Olivia, I think it's fine, its very pale, it's light in colour and flow. I'm more concerned about the cramps — but this is your first pregnancy, so it really could just be your body readying itself, stretching, any or all of those things - it could even just be some bad food."
"Okay," she let out a breath, trying not to panic.
The doctor carried out a physical exam, walking Olivia through everything before she smiled at her. "Everything looks good, Liv, you can breathe. An orderly will arrive shortly and they'll bring you up to get your sonogram, I'll meet you there."
"Okay thank you."
She patted Liv's arm. "You're in the best place to be right now, we'll do our best to send you home to your other children as soon as possible."
Trevor felt grateful for how nice the Ob Gyn was being. Olivia needed a sensitive doctor.
Once they were alone, he got up to give her a warm hug. "Its going to be already, we're just formalising that the baby is okay. She's an OB, Liv, she'd have seen hundreds pregnant women so I think she would know almost immediately if something was wrong."
"I know you're right," Olivia agreed, "but I can't help but think, 'what if'."
"I've got you, you don't need to worry, Liv. We're going to go on up to that room and we're going to get to hear our baby's heart beat and we're going to see that there's nothing wrong, just your body preparing to make more room for our precious baby that's going to grow and grow until you're absolutely glowing and ready to pop."
She couldn't help but to eat up all of his words, sharing a smile with him.
He kissed her lips and stroked her hair. "I love you, this might actually turn out to be a positive thing."
"Are you gonna go to work today?"
"Can you imagine if I tried to go to school in about 2 hrs?," he asked, looking at his watch, realising it was just on 6am. "I'll call it in soon, I might go in the afternoon to train the football team, but everything else will be about having you get some proper sleep while I look after Lexi and try to get her tired so we can all get some rest."
Olivia laughed. "Good luck."
/
"Okay," Dr. Angela smiled at Olivia, "are you ready?"
"Yeah…"
The doctor held the sonogram wand and got in to a comfortable position. She pressed it against the underside of her small bump. Immediately Olivia and Trevor could hear the whooshing sound of the doppler. "Wait- is that the baby's heart beat or the machine?" Olivia asked, listening to the repetitive sound instantly begin.
Angela looked at her and smiled, "I told you, you had nothing to worry about. That is a very, very strong heart beat, Liv," Trevor couldn't help but let his eyes fill with tears as he saw the relief flood her face along with the tears that spilled over.
"Its okay," Trevor comforted her, brushing away her tears. "I told you it'd be okay… the baby is fine."
She nodded and let out a quiet sob, the stress of it all had caught up with her and the relief that had washed over her was overwhelming.
The doctor stopped and grabbed Olivia some tissues. "Its okay, Liv, this can call feel so precarious this early on, the baby looks good…" she placed the wand back on to Olivia's belly and pointed out the baby's length. "Oh," she smiled, turning back to her patient, "I can actually tell the sex of your baby. Would you like to learn it?"
"Yes!" Trevor blurted out but quickly glanced at Olivia sheepishly, "unless you don't."
She smiled through her tears and gave his hand a squeeze. "We can find out if you want, I don't mind. I think we've had enough surprises for the time being."
He kissed her forehead.
Dr Angela smiled at the sweet couple. "You're both having a boy."
"Ohhh," Trevor murmured before looking at Liv. "Oh that's wonderful," he added. "You happy with that baby?"
"Bit late for that now?," she joked. "Yes… I'm happy. Noah will be over the moon, I think," she felt immediately relaxed and content. "Thank you," she told the doctor.
"You guys did all the handwork," she winked. "But after this, I think I'm going to give you some discharge papers and I think you should keep your appointment for next week and get some blood work done and do another sonogram and that'll be a much longer one."
"Thank you so much."
"I'll get you both a picture to take home to show your other kids."
"Oh that would be amazing, thank you," Trevor told her. There was a thermal printer on the other side of the bench that he glanced over at as it started to whirr.
"What a night…" Olivia murmured. "I'm so tired. I bet Lexi is awake already,"
"Good news is that her brother is home today and he knows exactly how to entertain her so maybe you can get some sleep."
"Hopefully," Liv remarked.
The doctor handed them the images in an envelope and had Olivia delivered back downstairs to her cubicle to get changed while the discharge papers were being prepared.
/
Trevor opened the door to the apartment and gestured for Olivia to step inside first. They were greeted with excited Ruby who ran in circles to see them both. Trevor gave her a pat until she was satisfied and ran back down the hall.
Olivia could hear Lexi hitting her highchair with happiness. She loved breakfast. "Mom?" Noah called, "Dad are you back?"
"We're back…" Trevor replied, appearing at the end of the hall, looking in to find Amanda at the table with a coffee.
"Is everything okay? You didn't text," he asked, getting up from beside Lexi to his Mom.
"We didn't text because we wanted you to sleep," Olivia replied, "and I thought you might be. Don't fret, everything is fine. It was good to just get checked out and be certain though," she told her son, bringing him close for a hug.
Noah gave her a squeeze. "If anything, I'm feeling a little nauseous — probably cause I'm tired," she announced. She glanced up at Amanda, "what happened to Ken?"
Amanda laughed, "Finn told me he sent him and then I got back from a job so I thought I'd come over in case Lexi was a bit difficult to manage waking up without you both here."
"Thanks Amanda," Trevor replied gratefully. "Why don't I make everyone breakfast?"
"Oh, no, I should probably go— I won't keep you guys up."
"No, you should stay aunt Amanda," Noah told her as Olivia sat down where Noah had been, greeting her little girl after Trevor had kissed her good morning.
"Thank you," she smiled at Noah, "but Uncle Sonny has already texted me three times asking for my help finding things for the girls. I'm sure they're playing games with him."
Trevor smiled. "Thank you so much for coming and relieving Ken of his duties. I hope Lexi behaved for you."
"She was perfect and so was Noah as always," Amanda stood up. She leaned over and gave Noah a hug and a kiss. "And I'm so glad everything is okay." She gave Olivia lingering hug and a little squeeze knowing that she would have been sick with worry. "Have a good day guys, if you need anything later, give me a call."
Trevor saw Amanda out the door. "Is Liv really okay?," she wondered, as she stepped outside, lowering her voice to a hush. "She doesn't always tell us the truth," she told him.
"Yeah, she's actually so much better. In a way, its good that this happened. Maybe not at 3am, but you know…"
"That's good, Trev, I'm glad she's got you, thanks for looking after her so well."
"Of course, I'll always take care of her, I love her."
Amanda smiled. "Have a good sleep when you guys get to it."
Trevor smiled and said goodbye.
/
"Ok Mama, you go to bed and get some rest— Noah and I will clean up the kitchen and I'll worry about Lexi."
"Wait-" she halted him, "the envelope, are we gonna?"
"Oh, now?"
Olivia smiled and nodded wearily. He went to where he'd put down his keys and grabbed the envelope. He took a seat back down at the table. He passed it to Noah. "Here kiddo, want to see a picture of our baby?"
Noah grinned, "Yeah! Oh wow, did you get to hear the baby's heart beat?"
"We did," Olivia told him with a happy face. "I'm going to another appointment next week which you can come to with Trevor and I if you like?" Noah smiled, the joy-filling his weary face. He glanced at Trevor, still feeling slightly bruised over the conversations they had the day before.
"Yeah?"
"Of course, you're part of this, it's your sibling…"
"Do you want me there?," he asked Trevor pointblank.
"Are you kidding? Of course I want you there. It would be disappointing if you weren't, kiddo," he told him gently, handing a slice of cheese to Lexi, "and you too, baby," he told her, "we need you to come and meet your sibling too."
"We are all in this together, all of us…" he added, glancing at Noah.
"I mean," Noah's eyes poured over the photos. "Is it gonna change anything, what if you have a boy? I'd almost prefer it to be a girl…" his voice trailed off. Trevor glanced at Noah with gentle reproach, cocking his head to the side.
"What do you think is going to change?," he asked him, "you can be honest, now's the right time, maybe we all need this conversation — but especially you."
"Honey, if you feel something about this that's worrying you, then let's talk about it," she told him. She knew exactly what he was going to say, but whether or not he had the courage to voice it was another story.
"It seems just…" he drew in a breath and let it go and shrugged. "The baby is so tiny," he murmured, momentarily distracted.
"Are you worried the dynamic might change because this baby is biological?," Trevor pushed him.
Noah looked up, his face stricken with concern. "I don't know, maybe…"
"Noah, I would never ever have adopted you or Lexi if I didn't think I could love you like I'd given birth myself. The relationship we've formed since you came in to my life is something that is incomparable to what I'll have with Lexi or any baby that I do actually grow within me," Olivia explained, "I love the idea of you getting to be a big brother and watching you dote on your sister has only made that feeling deepen…"
"Okay," he replied. "But maybe you won't mean to love a biological baby more…it'll just happen."
"You know, the things I told you about my Mom, Noah, she was my biological Mom and she couldn't love me — same as your biological mother; despite how much they tried, they just shouldn't have become parents if they'd been given a choice," she explained, "you gifted my life and there is nothing in this world that would make me love you less than any other child I have."
"Okay," he nodded.
"And I've gone from having no children to three children, Noah, and I am so excited and I only play favourites when it comes to students, I promise you that."
Noah managed a laugh. "I just don't want to feel left out, I know that's immature-"
"That's not immature, bud," Trevor told him gently, "nobody ever likes to feel left out. But that's not going to happen. You're going to be the best big brother on both counts and I know that to be true because you already are and each day that I get to spend with you, my love for you as your Dad grows and grows, so please don't ever feel like Mom or I will treat you different."
"At first the baby might get a lot of attention - the way that Lexi is, but it'll just be an adjustment period and I will take your help any day of the week."
"Thanks Mom," Noah replied.
"With that said," Trevor told him, "I was thinking we could do something fun - would you like us to put together a little gender reveal for you?"
"What do you mean?," he asked, "do you know what the sex of the baby is already?"
Olivia started to laugh, "Yeah… apparently our baby isn't shy. We could plan something fun so that you can find out in a fun way. What do you think?"
"I love it," he grinned. "But I kind of want you to tell me now."
"Okay well you get to decide."
"If we do the gender reveal thing, can we do it today at some stage?," he asked impatiently.
"Ok, I'll talk to Mom and see what we can do…" Trevor agreed.
/
"Oh, do you mind putting that in a cup where it cant be seen through?" Trevor asked the young barista. The Starbucks barista stared blithely at him for a second. Trevor stared back, waiting for him to compute the request, trying not to show his impatience. "You know, not a clear cup? I want to surprise my son with the drink…"
"Oh… sure…"
He waited with his coffee from the street stand and was on his way back to get one for Liv too. He chose a blueberry iced tea lemonade for Noah, something that he'd never get for himself. It had to be blue for the gender reveal. He hoped it would work and he knew how much his newly labeled son loved his Starbucks drinks.
He and Liv had ordered both Noah and Lexi t-shirts that had some motif about becoming a sister and a brother. He sat down for a second when he retrieved Noah's drink and pulled the sharpie he had brought with him from home. He opened the sports back he held in his hand. He pulled out the new and unused set of ping pong balls out and wrote on the white one. Congrats on your baby brother xxx
He took a sip of the sweet, sugary ice-tea so that there was enough room to drop the ball and watch it float. He put the top back on it, making sure he couldnt see inside the cup and began toward the coffee stand to get one for Olivia.
/
"On a scale of one to ten how tired are we all?" Trevor asked with a little laugh.
"Exhausted and nauseous," Olivia told him, "I don't even know if I can stomach this coffee…"
"I'm tired too, but…I'll be okay," Noah told Trevor. "How about you?"
"Exhausted," he smiled.
Olivia had set up the pull-out sofa for them all to hang out on as a family and watch some movies together while they entertained Lexi until her nap. Trevor brought himself and Noah some snacks and a little fruit bowl for Lexi who came and went from her toy corner as she played quite well on her own.
"Here's your drink, kiddo," Trevor passed Noah his Starbucks cup, winking to Olivia over his head. She smiled back at Trevor, loving that he had figured out the gender reveal all on his own. Noah took a sip of his drink and made a face, "what's this?," he asked. Trevor had to try his best to not laugh.
"What do you mean?," he asked, taking a sip of his own double shot.
"It tastes weird. They might have given me the wrong drink," he replied, immediately pulling the lid off to see what was inside. "Its blue!," he exclaimed, "eww what's that?," he made a face as he saw the ping pong ball and fished it out. He glanced at it for a second as both Olivia and Trevor held their breath with anticipation. Slow a smile spread across his mouth, "oh my god…" he breathed, "really?" He looked up at Olivia and then to Trevor, "really? I'm going to have a little brother?"
"Really really," Trevor nodded. "You're going to be a best big brother that there ever was to this baby…" he told Noah.
"Wow…" he breathed. He turned to Olivia, "this is so surreal, is this the truth? No one is playing a trick on me right?," he laughed.
"No baby, no one is playing a trick on you. We're having a boy… I know you have your reservations about how things might work out but I want you to know that youre my first baby and Trevor and I will never love you any less."
He hugged his Mom and then hugged Trevor. Not wanting to be left out, Lexi raised her arms at Olivia, "Mama up up!"
"Okay, come on… maybe you can have your snack and when we are finished with our drinks, you might like a little milk before your nap."
Trevor lifted her on to the pull out bed with them. Lexi crawled over him. Trevor winced in pain as she tried to gain balance on her feet by stepping hard on his upper thigh. She stumbled, Noah catching her against him, causing her to burst in to giggles.
"You love your big brother, don't you bubba?" Olivia asked her once she'd calmed down.
"I know what she wants…" Noah remarked. The almost 2-year old kept leaning over, hoping to get her mouth over the straw. "She wants to try my drink. Is there caffeine in here?"
"No, but there is a lot of sugar," Trevor replied but couldn't deny how sweet she was, wanting to share her brothers drink with him.
"Okay, so just a little taste, okay?" Noah warned her, "this drink is for big kids not little kids. You can have a tiny taste."
"Me do it!" Lexi replied, plonking herself down on her brothers lap. Olivia smiled— one of Lexi's tiny hands rested on the cup while she leaned forward, taking a tiny sip before going back for another longer one. She pulled away making a face, unsure of whether or not she liked it. She went to try again, "last one, little smoosh," Noah warned her.
He took the drink from her, "no, this is Noah's drink," he told her gently when she reached for it again.
"Why don't I go and make a special drink for you, darling?" Trevor asked her. Lexi's interested was piqued.
"Oooh that sounds fun, Daddy is going to make you a special drink like mine." Olivia smiled at her son's interactions, she couldn't get over just what a wonderful brother he was and how quickly their bond had formed. It was interesting to Olivia that she was just as comforted by Noah as she was by both herself and Trevor.
Trevor got up and picked up Lexi, "come on, come help Daddy make you a drink," he told her, giving her a kiss.
"Mom, did you decide on a day for her birthday?" Noah asked, taking a big sip from his blueberry lemonade.
"Mmm we're thinking of next week - its about 24 months, I'd say. I don't want her to miss out on a birthday."
"Me either— do you think we should do something special?," he asked. "Like, we want to get her some fun gifts, right?"
"Yeah," Olivia smiled. "Remember when you were little? You had to have an ice cream cake every year and I remember one year, I went all over the lower East side trying to find one and I got home a bit late and forgot to plan for Amanda and Carisi to come over to sing happy birthday and you were so heartbroken because you thought all of our friends forgot about you."
Noah pouted and laughed at Olivia's lamentation. "What a little loser," he joked.
"Ohhh no, it was a really guilty Mom moment," she admitted.
"I'm sorry I made you feel like that, Mom, I didn't mean to be that selfish, I guess I never really understood."
"Oh honey, no," she smiled and kissed his temple, "you were so little, you just knew it was your birthday and you were excited. But you bet that I fixed that really quick. I called Uncle Sonny and Aunt Amanda and Uncle Nick and his wife at the time and Zara…" she laughed, "and we had a quick impromptu party for you…"
"You are a great Mom, the best, actually. Do you know how many of my friends over the years have said that they wished they had a Mom like mine?," he asked her as Trevor returned with Lexi and her sip cup.
"Aww thanks Noah," she grinned at him, "you're the best son." He rested his head on her shoulder and smiled at Lexi, "oooOooh what do you have in your cup?" He asked.
Lexi excitedly shook her spill-proof cup. Trevor grinned as he set her back down. "Show Noah and Mommy your special drink,"
She put her hand out to steady herself and handed her sip cup to Noah. "Ooooh look, there's some blueberries and some strawberries in there!"
"I put one drop of that red food colour in it," he smiled at Liv and Noah, "and its just water with some fruit."
"Daddy made you a good one, didn't he?" Liv asked. Lexi nodded and took her cup back. "Me drink!"
"Yes! That's right! Good girl, thats Lexi's drink." It was a new word, they praised every new word she vocalised which was happening a little more every day.
She got comfy between Trevor and Noah and sipped on her water happily. "I guess this means we're watching a kids movie?" Trevor asked with a laugh.
"I don't care, I'm going to be out like a light in about 4 minutes. I really am so close to throwing up again," she announced. Noah made a face.
"Oh honey, is it just pregnancy nausea? Or do you think maybe you picked something up at the hospital?"
"No, it's a pregnancy nausea, I was feeling it lightly yesterday morning too… Maybe it's because I'm so exhausted because I don't think I've felt this rotten since being pregnant."
"Why don't you go and sleep in bed?" Trevor asked.
"Because I wanna hang out with my family, it's not often we get to spend a day all together… a certain person's suspension not-withstanding."
Noah chose a movie and snuggled down, passing his drink aside to Trevor so he could put it up. Lexi, not wanting to be out-done, passed her drink to Trevor too so she could cuddle up with her brother. Trevor tried not to grin at how much their daughter idolised Noah.
"Goodness you guys are so damn cute," Trevor remarked. "Your Mom and I really lucked out with you both."
"You're not wrong about that," Olivia remarked, propping a pillow behind her head and relaxing back, pulling a blanket over them. "If I fall asleep guys, please don't forget to ask little miss to go sit on the potty before you change her diaper."
"Do I ever forget?" Trevor asked her.
She smiled, "No."
"Well then…"
She simply winked at him and concentrated on the movie.

"Oh honey," Trevor mumured the next morning as he started to get ready for work. He had brought Olivia some toast in bed but as immediately as she had finished, she brought it straight back up. "Ok we need to think outside the box. I might stay home today and take care of Lexi again so you can rest, you're look terrible."
"No, it'll pass, you can't just stop going to work," she pointed out, not daring to move a muscle. "Noah could help."
"Noah can't look after Lexi all day, he's a kid. We can't expect that of him," Trevor replied. "It's fine. I'll call my boss they knew you were at the hospital but I didn't say why, so they'll probably expect that I might end up spending a few days off with you."
Olivia moaned with discomfort. "I hate this feeeeeliiinggg…" she whined, "it's the worst."
Trevor came and sat down beside her and stroked her hair. "I know, I'm so sorry you feel so bad."
"I'm sorry for moaning about it, I just don't deal well with being sick. I feel so useless."
"Its okay baby, I told you. I'd take care of you during this pregnancy and I meant it," he replied. "So get comfortable, I'll order you some lemon gatorades that you can sip between water and I'll go finish making breakfast for the kids."
"Thanks baby," she murmured, clamping her eyes shut. "I'm so glad I'm sick because I know it means the baby is thriving but shit it feels so bad."
He managed a weak smile. "After breakfast, I'll come and give you a cuddle or you can come and lay on the couch with a bucket…"
"Maybe," she replied. Trevor kissed her forehead.
/
"How are you feeling tonight?" Trevor asked Olivia who seemed to sprite up a little at dinner time. "Any better?"
"Yeah," she smiled, coming in to the kitchen as he was wiping up dishes. "Thanks baby, much better."
"I made you what you women like to refer to as girl dinner," he told her as she circled the counter to wrap her arms around him wearily. He reciprocated her embrace briefly before letting go.
"This is why I love you," she chuckled. "You're the best."
He pulled out a dinner plate from the refrigerator. She laughed when she saw it. "Aww sweetheart, you even sectioned the plate off so the fruit didn't touch the rest," she truly loved his thoughtfulness.
"For the lady," he presented over it with his hand, "we have some cubes of water melon, strawberries and blueberries and over here," he pointed to the small dish, "we have some cubes of cheddar, plain salted pretzels and some green olives," he pointed to another area of the plate, his smile growing as he watched hers grow too. "And over here we have some cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, some walnuts and some snap peas." He picked up a little pot of yoghurt, "and some plain, vanilla Greek yoghurt."
"This is amazing, sweetheart, thank you so much, I love you, you know? I just really want you to know how much I appreciate your effort to try making me feel better."
"Aww, of course, I hate it when you feel awful. I just want to see you smile and back to your happy, beautiful self," he replied, slipping his hands upon her waist as she wrapped her arms around him again. He leaned over her and kissed her lips lingeringly. "Mmm," he sighed, falling in to a pattern of short, slow kisses. He missed the physical side of things a little — they had taken a little bit of a backseat since she'd found out she was pregnant and her body had felt a little off — he understood completely though.
She kissed him back eagerly, feeling him push her gently against the counter, tasting the tip of her tongue as their kisses found a slow, tender rhythm that made his heart race a little. He felt her slowly pulling back, he had waited for it, savouring her mouth against his. "Mmm," she smiled, closing her eyes, relishing him. It wasn't really the right place for making out anyway, he would have preferred it in private where Noah couldn't just walk in at any moment.
"I love you," he whispered, finishing things off with one last kiss. He stroked her arms before letting go. "I keep having to pinch myself that I have this life with you and the kids…"
"Me too," she replied, reaching up and smoothing his face. "It's everything I've ever wanted." She felt his hands resting on her belly. "And you, little man, ease up on Mommy's tummy," he pleaded, looking down at the slight bulge. He met Olivia's eyes and they both laughed lightly. He kissed her again.
"Where would you like to sit and eat?"
"I'll just sit at the table," she replied, "I'll bathe Lexi after I'm done, I feel so neglectful."
"Nonsense," he waved her remark away like it was an annoying insect, "I've already bathed her, she was grumpy and tired so I got dinner and bath time done early and she's having one story with Noah and then I'm going to put her to bed."
"Superdad," Olivia smiled at him as he took her plate and placed it on the kitchen table with Olivia following. "You're the best."
"I'm just doing what I can to make the parts that are difficult, a little easier."
"Well, I appreciate it," she replied as he pulled her chair out and gestured for her to sit. "Call out to me if you need anything okay?"
"I'll be fine. I'll just go get my iPad-"
"I'll get it, just sit and put something in your tummy."
/
"What are the chances of Lexi sleeping through the night?" Olivia asked as she came from the bathroom, ready for bed. She wore a pair of cotton boy-leg underwear and a camisole. Trevor smiled, noticing her bump a little more.
"Slim-to-zero," he replied with a chuckle. He went and hung his own towel back up and got in to bed.
Olivia climbed in to bed with a sigh. "I can't believe how much better I feel tonight," she remarked, sitting forward to pull the camisole from her head.
Trevor chuckled. "Why did you get out of the shower, put that camisole on only to take it straight off again as soon as you got in to bed?"
She laughed, "I don't know… because I guess I'm a little self-conscious sometimes, or maybe I'm so used to the idea of not being able to be naked in a house with a kid."
Trevor smiled, "you have nothing to be self-conscious of, you are absolutely glowing and your boobs are amazing, I always tell you that."
"I know…" she shrugged, "I think I have felt my body begin to change in really tiny ways over the past few weeks and I guess it's made me a little self-conscious about for how much longer I'll be attractive to you…"
"Sweetie," he began seriously, "you won't become unattractive to me, if anything I feel like my feelings will only grow — my admiration for literally growing a human in you is going to be insurmountable. The commitment to motherhood to me is pretty sexy too, just quietly."
"Keep talking…" Olivia pressed, jokingly, sidling up to him to cup his cheek and kiss his lips.
He kissed her back. Pulling her in to his lap. "Oooh, you won't be able to do this soon when I turn in to a pregnant sow!," she joked.
Trevor gasped in shock, "Olivia!," he scolded her, "I don't ever want to hear you talk about yourself like that to me again. That's awful… I'm not even kidding."
"It's okay, I was," she replied, feeling a little reprimanded. "I love you, I'm sorry."
"Its okay," he softened, caressing her hair, "I hate it when you say cruel things about yourself, it makes me think that maybe somewhere beneath all those smiles and this beautiful resilience is a woman who doesn't really have a high opinion of herself."
"It doesn't matter what I think of myself…" her voice trailed off. She leaned forward to kiss him but he dodged her.
"It matters to me. I want you to know your value as a woman and as a mother and as someone who contributes to this world in the most positive way. You need to be aware."
"Okay, okay, can you just kiss me and I'll become more aware as you kiss me more, I promise," she replied.
He finally chuckled, giving in to her. He pushed her off of him until she was on her back. He turned his body to her, half-way hovering over her, admiring her beauty as he damp hair fanned over the pillow. He smiled gently, realising that her eyes were deeply searching his, waiting for him to make a move.
He didn't want to create a means to an end, but rather he wanted to savour her delicious new pregnant body. He trailed a line of soft, torturously slow kisses along her collarbone and up to her earlobe. She gasped softly, realising very quickly that all of her senses had become heightened with the life that grew within her womb.
The scent of his aftershave did something wonderously unexpected to her; she found herself craving him in a new way. She wanted those lips; those hands; that tongue — she wanted to feel all of it all over her body and there was no part of her that wanted him to stop and discuss things.
She raised her head, trying to meet his mouth but he had other ideas. With a frustrated sigh, she fell back the short distance on to the pillow. He continued his kisses without a word down her neck. He knew what she wanted and he had planned to give in to whatever her beautiful body asked of him.
He smirked to himself as he stopped briefly to kick the covers out of the way. "Smile… don't look so frustrated," he teased her.
"Don't tease me," she whined, "I don't know that I can handle it tonight—"
"I think you can handle it," he told her, letting his lips hover just inches from hers. "I don't think you have a choice, quite frankly." He continued his torturous approach, lightly tracing the tips of his fingers over her almost-shivering skin. "Wow, you're… really cold?"
"No!," she exclaimed in a whisper, "it's anticipation!"
He chuckled, "Wow, that's a new response," he couldn't help but to be flattered as he let his fingers run down the inside of her arm down in to her wrist - what he had learned in the past was a little sensitive. He grazed her skin just slightly all the way back up and over her collarbone where his mouth had just been, keeping eye contact; a little amused smile adorning his gorgeous crooked smile that always made her weak.
Finally, her eyes fell shut as he circled his way around her swollen breasts that he knew were sensitive. She gave a soft moan of approval that errupted quietly from the back of her throat. It was enough for him to cause his briefs to restrict him - the sound shooting a sensation between his legs.
He gently took her hand and pressed it against his erection and leaned in to her ear, letting his mouth rest; hovering beside it. "Look what you caused with your sexy moans and your gorgeous body," he purred, his words causing her to shrug with a ticklish sensation at the feel of his breath and just how very close his lips were to her skin.
"Me?" she played coy, pulling away slightly, a playful smile gracing her pink, soft lips. "Me? I did that?"
"Mmmhmm," he smiled, kissing her, "you did that, you always do that…"
"Wow, I most certainly am quite powerful," she joked, turning away, exposing her neck to him, "I think your mouth is missing from my skin..."
Trevor chuckled and let go of her hand. She continued to softly rub his hardening member on the outside of his pants, causing him to let out a throaty moan, trying his best to quell the noises he knew he had the capacity to make; perhaps just a little too loudly.
He explored her with his soft, caresses; his grazing fingertips, revering her newly pregnant body, finding his way over the small bump and down to her thighs, causing her to flinch, gasping out loud.
"Sorry-" he immediately apologised.
"No," she said quickly, turning serious, "my skin is just so damn sensitive," she complained despite it not worrying her for the worst— if anything it felt even better than she could recall. He lowered his head, kissing his way down to her breasts, running his tongue around her areola, making the slow circles smaller and smaller as his lips locked around her hardened bead. His fingers moved up her sides, causing her back to arch at the warmth that seemed to cover her body - almost too hot to deal with.
"Oh shit…" she whispered in to the dimly lit room. He gave up the teasing and let another hand find her plump mound of flesh, making circles against with his thumb upon her free nipple.
He loved to hear her gasping and moaning and the feel of her body writhing beneath him. A big turn on for him was her fingers through his hair, her grey manicured nails scraping along his scalp causing his erection to throb between his legs. He almost let go of her nipple between his lips, but he didn't want to stop her from reacting to the way his tongue flicked over it, circling the tip of it in and increasing her breathing to short gasps.
"Fuckkk…" she almost laughed, "baby—" she didn't know why she was calling out to him, she most certainly didn't want it to stop. She knew he would be pleased with himself when he reached between her legs to find just how wet she was; how he had barely done much to cause her to feel as though she could possibly have a small orgasm from his breast play alone.
That would be a first, she thought, pleased for both of them.
She couldn't wait to return the favour, to push him on to his back and take his long, hard member in to her mout- "Oh fuck!" she cursed as his hand didn't dilly-dally in finding its way beneath her underwear.
"Is this okay?" he asked, lifting his head, releasing her breast. He moved slightly to her side, allowing himself better access. She raised her knees to peaks, letting the knee closest to her fall languidly, allowing him all the space and access to her intimate space as he wanted.
"Mmmhmm," she turned her head, giving him a weary smile. "Yeah, it's sure okay."
He smiled lovingly at her, raising himself so that he could pull her underwear off. She lifted her backside and helped him push down the waist band. He pulled them over her knees, not roughly but he didn't have time to mess around. She kicked them off and watched him settle back next to her.
Sometimes he liked to explore her body quietly, watching her respond to him. He liked to see how she quivered beneath him, how her face changed when he did something really good and how it contorted with pleasure when she was on the cusp of an orgasm. He loved her, he loved her body and he loved the quiet moments between them when she realised he was all about her and she became slightly self-aware until she fell over the edge of her arousal, letting herself go.
It was an Olivia that took a long while to tap in to, a completely vulnerable woman who wasn't just putting on a show of wanting to fuck for the sake of it — she was a woman who wanted to be wanted and needed to be shown how much he loved her and he was always more than happy to oblige.
"I want you," she murmured.
"You've got me, I've got you…" he replied quietly, leaning forward, kissing her cherry-red lips that were slightly swollen from making out. "Just lay back and close your eyes," he added.
He watched her grab for a handful of the sheets as her eyelids fluttered closed, a tiny, soft moan escaping from her sweet mouth. She sighed. He slid his fingers along her opening, slowly and tauntingly, letting his thumb brush over her swollen clit. "How does that feel?," he whispered in to her ear.
She hummed, "it feels s-s-o good," she stammered. "I'm so wet for you," she remarked as if he would have had no idea.
"I know, you are so hot, baby," he pressed a lingering kiss upon her upper arm and then another on her lips as he obliged her, dipping a finger inside her warm opening. That was all it took for her to let out a long groan of pleasure. "Fuck, Olivia," he whispered with a slight laugh, "why do you always feel this fucking amazing when I touch you?" he enjoyed the warmth of her as he stroked her slowly.
"Mmm Trev… that feels—" she tried to speak but she was suddenly rendered speechless as his deft fingers buried themselves deep within her. No words could aptly convey the pure electricity that he had sparked throughout her nerves beneath her skin that caused gooseflesh to immediately spread out over her whole body.
He silenced any more attempts at speaking with his mouth covering her throat, laying, hot, wet, openmouthed kisses in the spaces that he knew turned her on - not always the most obvious. He knew what she wanted and he knew she was always going to be a little too self-conscious to say it out loud. He repositioned himself, planting kisses slowly down her body. He paused upon her bump and kissed it with deliberateness as he continued the rest of the way down between her legs.
He dipped his head low, swiping his tongue slowly along her opening, gathering her arousal, before covering her with his mouth, finding her clitoris.
As her fingers dug in to the sheets, twisting them, trying to find something; anything to take away the visceral urge to cry out in sheer ecstasy. He could feel her tensing already, he slowly removed his fingers, letting her nerve-endings tingle as he his motions became slower; sluggish, as if he was struggling not to bring her to orgasm as quickly as she wanted it.
He grazed her clitoris in circles; slow, merciless circles with the very tip of his tongue, trailing his fingers back and forth again along her entrance until she let out a moan of frustration; a whimper even, begging him in her very best whisper. She arched her back up off the bed, begging with her body too. She pleaded with him to make her come, only making him ignore her, not changing the speed or the urgency of his motions.
Suddenly everything stopped. She opened her eyes, wondering what interruption had occurred - had he heard Lexi? She stared up at him, her breathing almost at a pant. He was hovering over her with a grin. "What are you doing?," she asked, wondering if he was stopping.
"Be patient, my sweetheart," he replied, slipping his hand between her legs, caressing the inside of her thighs, not addressing the place she most desired. He kissed her knee as he brushed his hand over her again. She realised he was building her anticipation and it worked. He lowered himself back down and this time it felt more intense and less like he was trying to torture her.
She felt the heat coiling in her lower stomach, slowly spreading throughout her in waves as he lapped up her nectar, paying close attention to the bundle of nerves that made her tremble as his tongue flicked against it gently, burying his lips like he was looking for treasure until they locked around it. She hissed with pleasure, writhing beneath him, unprepared for his fingers filling her up, sliding deep in to her wetness; curling slightly as she rocked against him involuntarily.
She buried her fingers in his hair, lolling her head as she felt the urge begin to swell within her. Trevor recognised it too. "Baby, please, please fuck me," she blurted out breathlessly, "please."
He didn't have to be asked twice, he throbbed and while it was a nice idea to have her mouth wrapped around him, the plan to sink his erection deep within her seemed like a much better one. He gave her one last kiss before pushing his own jocks down, letting his erect penis spring to attention. He crawled up over her, not wanting to put any pressure on her stomach. He held his own weight, hooking an arm around her thigh, dragging her closer as he angled his cock at her entrance.
She gave him a nod, a silent approval to go for it. He looked so wonderful, she thought, in the dim glow of the bedroom with his chin glistening from where his face had been. He didn't care, none of that bothered him. He let his eyes close as he pushed his way in to her. He let out a guttural moan as her walls tightened around him.
"Shit, you feel good, Liv, fuck…" he swore out loud. He braced himself with his hands on either side of the bed. He was able to see her face, looking down at her doe-eyes with his clenched-jaw and his unmistakable look of absolute adoration. He tried hard to keep control of himself as he moved in and out, slowly at first, before picking up a little rhythm.
Olivia knew she was close but she wanted him to make it last for as long as possible. She lifted her legs, wrapping them around his thighs. He always moved so slowly, thrusting deeply as he filled her up, causing her body to jolt upward to meet him every single time. He was so sensual and was able to make love with her like no other partner she'd ever had.
She would never have dreamed of being able to make eye contact during sex, let alone feel comfortable maintaining it. She felt lost within her feelings for him, overwhelmed and so fucking in love that it made her a little dizzy. It was the small things, the way that he brushed wayward hair from her forehead while he concentrated on plunging in and out of her core. He cared for her physically and emotionally, already putting so much effort in to their child that was still so early along, but his commitment was everything to her; not to mention the lengths he want to for the children he had been so open to taking on.
She loved him. His hips rocked faster and she felt his thrusts become more forceful; the way she liked the most when their passion built. He lifted her from the mattress over and over and over, faster and deeper each time until he felt the same stirring in his abdomen; the one that he recognised as release. He slid his arms beneath her, holding her as she ripped his body, her fingers biting in to his back, knowing that she was about to let go and tumble over the edge of her pleasure, falling in to the abyss.
He heard her, the very noise that she made when she was coming; her breathing, her body tensing and jutting and jolting beneath him. Another thrust, feeling both of them spilling over one another. Trevor kept going slower, more tense, letting his hand slip between them, brushing along her clitoris to make sure she was coming as hard as he had.
She pushed his hand away and chuckled, "no, no… I can't, I already came," she told him, a little too sensitive for his touch.
He realised as he pulled out of her that she had come and she had come hard. He planted a few kisses over her face and neck, and moved aside, wanting to collapse but not wanting to put pressure on her belly. With his arms wrapped around her, he brought her with him, pulling her body against his, disregarding everything. "I love you," he breathed, kissing her again, happily sighing.
He glanced at her and realised that a few tears slipped out of her eyes. "Hey, are you okay?," he asked, alarmed, "did I hurt you?"
"Oh my gosh," she covered her face with red-hot embarrassment. "I'm fine, I'm fine…"
"Liv…? Tell me?" He stroked her hair. She wiped her eyes and grinned at him, sniffing. "I'm emotionally sensitive, okay?"
He let a smile linger across his mouth. "About what? About us having sex?," he wondered. He wanted to make sure she wasn't trying to save his feelings. "Are you crying cos it was bad? Was it bad sex?" He knew that it wasn't bad sex, he was only teasing.
"No!," she exclaimed, "the opposite, fuck…" she felt herself calming down from what had transpired between them, "I think I'm pregnant and my hormones are everywhere and I just love you and you're the person I've been the most vulnerable with during sex, it just made me realise that … even though maybe sometimes I still come across as a bit self-conscious— the amount of my soul I give to you when we're having sex is …. sometimes overwhelming and very, very unlike me."
He gathered her in his arms and cuddled her close. He kissed her mouth. "I love you, I love every bit of you and I love your vulnerability and even that you managed to tell me this… I never ever thought I'd love anyone else more than… you know," he didn't want to say her name in case he spoiled their intimate moment, "or be able to give myself the space to love someone again, but what we have is… honestly unlike anything I've ever had and it seems to feel even more intense now that you're pregnant."
She kissed him this time. She smiled at him, feeling his hands caressing her bare back. "We're the best," she told him with a cheeky little grin. He held up a hand, "high five for team Langan & Benson."
She obliged him as they both laughed.
"We should shower," she finally remarked.
"Definitely. Why don't you go hop and I'll fix the bedding up…" he chuckled.
She made a face. "I can help…"
"No," he kissed her softly, "Go have a shower, beauty, I'll be right there for a quick rinse and a shower cuddle."
"Okay, love you…" she gave him another kiss and slid off the bed and in to her ensuite.
