Rise Of G-Morph And The Amazing Spider-Man by Amit Barabi:
Here is a summary for those who read this story on their phone's browser:
Eunice chooses Gwen Stacy as the successor of the Hero Of Heroes, Ben Tennyson. Please read and enjoy her origin as the heroine, G-Morph, and her ever-growing adventure with her arachnoid boyfriend, Spider-Man. This story is mainly based on the movies The Amazing Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it also has some original ideas. Peter and Gwen are pairing. I was inspired by The Incredible Muffin's My Alien Academia and Ben 10: Unlimited. This story was originally titled "Wristed Heroes." This is the first story of my big planned series, Amit's Cinematic Universe, or A.C.U. for short.
Ben 10 does not belong to me. Spider-Man does not belong to me. The right to blacklist bullies who have not read my story before calling me a retarded writer and blacklisting me does belong to me. The two who did it know who they are.
It looks like we are finally getting the lizard. Who is excited to see how I turn him into something more than just a Hulk with a tail? FYI, this is how he is usually depicted in media.
Chapter 13: Rise of The Amazing Spider-Man.
Multiverse-M, Earth-616, Oscorp Tower, Tuesday.
Two days have passed since Peter met XLR8. He and Gwen barely had time to see each other at school, and due to his search after Nir Vax, he almost got in trouble for not attending detention. Thankfully, the school staff was reasonable enough to alter his punishment and give him only twenty minutes of detention on those days so he could go to work and be with his aunt.
It was probably the best he could get, but it prevented his girlfriend from telling him what he already knew. They could only see each other for a minute outside classes, and there was no privacy for important reveals. But she had reminded him about dinner with her parents after work, clarified the address, and added a nice bonus of kissing in front of obsessive guys who did not believe Gwenter was an item.
Peter arrived at work thirty minutes after Gwen did. He saw his girlfriend gripping her left wrist to muffle a beeping sound and was told to go on with the lie. He did not know what she meant until he saw Doctor Connors with a gloved right hand.
"It's a prosthetic," The doctor lied, "I was told that my research needed another hand."
Peter could briefly see a green spot on the doctor's neck as Gwen excused herself to the bathroom. When she returned, the muffled beeping sound stopped.
"As much as I wished we could wait, my superiors decided that we should start human trials," He said, "Our 15... volunteers... have already received their shots earlier today. We need to monitor their reactions and compare them to their medical files. Each of us will monitor five test subjects."
The teens exchanged a look as if having a wordless conversation before heading to their stations.
"This is wrong," Gwen muttered as she monitored her assigned test subjects. Some of them have already started regrowing missing limbs and showed both pain and green spots similar to the ones Connors had, "These people were already underfed, sick, and were exposed to alcohol and other drugs before coming here. They are being used without realizing they essentially gave up their lives."
"I don't like it either," another voice said, "We could fix them in a moment, but not without being seen."
Monday morning.
Gwen woke up and got ready for school. She looked at her Omnitrix menu like she did every morning since breaking the Omnitrix.

It looked like her watch's condition had improved. At least one day was shaved off the repairs. She suddenly focused on the second to last line while going down the elevator, 'Eunitrix (Available)?!'
At that point, she heard a familiar voice, "Good morning. What did I miss?"
"Eunice!" The hologram barely appeared when Gwen attempted to hug her, "I missed you so much! I'm sorry I hurt you. Are you okay?"
Eunice returned the hug, though none of the blondes could feel the other, "I'm fine, it was like taking a long nap, and you didn't do anything wrong. Ben would have done the same thing. So, what did I miss?"
...
After catching up, Eunice noticed worry in Gwen's expression, "What is it?" She asked.
"Do you think Ben would be mad when he finds out I broke the watch and put you in a coma?"
"Knowing Ben, he probably already knows," That turned Gwen's expression into a fearful one. Eunice noticed and hurried to calm her down, "He would understand. Otherwise, whatever you think he would have done was done already. Ben can be harsh when necessary, but he gives people second chances. He did not get the title 'Hero of Heroes' because of his fear factor, and when I first met him, one of his former enemies had already dated his cousin for a year under Ben's approval and support. If anything, I think Ben would be proud of you at least as much as I am."
Tears appeared in Gwen's eyes, "Thank you."
"I know," Gwen mumbled, "There are no cameras or microphones in this room, right?"
"No," Eunice answered, "I checked. The only microphone here must be turned on manually by you."
"Okay," Gwen spoke more openly, "If they show any sign of dying, we need to eliminate any recording device, create a distraction, and save them."
"If we do that, it must be our last resort to save these people," Eunice countered, "It would backfire if these people survived by a miracle and there was no record of their recovery from the side effects of the serum. When you catch a break, try to discuss this with Peter. We need to think this through."
...
Peter monitored the test subjects' vitals and physical reactions in his monitored room. He did his job well, but his thoughts were elsewhere. Alien V stole the formula these people were experimented on and gave it to Connors. Undoubtedly, he did it to cause issues if he got captured or killed, which he did. He will work on the anti-serum as soon as possible to ensure this experiment will not give Osborn any tools to hurt more people, but he cannot leave his post right now. Perhaps there was something the successor could do, but that was mostly a theory, and he could not ask. His phone was beyond repair by any means he had, and he and Gwen had to leave their phones outside anyway.
Maybe if he could make a distraction, he could help with something. But there were too many unknown factors to consider before making any move. For all he knew, he could be watched at that moment.
...
The teens were given a short break at one point, during which they kept the monitors recording. They barely made eye contact before Gwen dragged Peter to one of the silence rooms designed for private phone calls.
"Some of my... assigned volunteers... don't look well. How are yours?" She got straight to the point.
"Same," Peter replied while looking around. They could not be heard, but anyone could see them through the glass walls, "Can any of your alien friends do something about it?"
Gwen looked to the side momentarily as if listening to someone before answering, "They can't, but my watch can do something. There are only two problems: I have to approach them, and if I can heal them, they may become like you."
"I could jam the sensors and cameras and make it look like a bug, but I need Karen for that," Peter suggested, "How fast can you get your friend to fix my phone?"
Gwen looked at that spot again and nodded, "I think I can get this done in a few minutes. Give me your phone."
...
Upgrading Peter's phone was a child's play. It took her longer to get to the bathroom than fixing and improving the device. As soon as she exited the toilet cell, Gwen ran back to where Peter was. She tripped before she returned his phone, making Peter stop her fall in a right half-hug and grabbing his repaired phone with his left hand. Seeing an eyewitness to his incredible feat exiting the monitor room mid-action, Peter continued his left hand's momentum to make it look slightly clumsier and pressed that hand against Gwen.
"Is it going to happen often?" Connors asked at the sight of Peter's hold on Gwen, "I support young love, but this is a workplace."
Peter released Gwen when he realized where he had grabbed her and knew she could stand alone.
"Thank you," Connors said sarcastically, "You have a minute to return to your posts."
The teens blushed, "We are in trouble," Gwen stated, "We should do as he said."
Peter remembered the last time he got in trouble and looked at his healed arm, "Yeah, we should. Are we up to the plan?" He whispered.
"Yeah, yeah," Gwen nodded and noticed his gaze on his healed injury, "How is your arm?"
"It's fine. I don't even have a scar," They did not have time for him to tell her what he knew, but that was another confirmation.
...
Connors watched his assigned test subjects and examined his new arm. It had green spots across its skin, similar to the test subjects' shirtless skin as they started growing their missing limbs. He had taken issues with moving to human trials that early, but he started seeing its merit.
Suddenly, every monitor flickered and showed an error alert, followed by the cameras sparking and the lights turning off and on repeatedly. He tried desperately to manage the disaster when a green shockwave passed through his assigned test subjects, reversing them into their pre-injection state and destroying the serum samples around him. The wave of green energy was about to reach him when it turned red and faded out of existence. He looked at his destroyed workspace, only capable of saying one thing, "What the fuck?!"
After a minute of shock, Connors rushed to check on his interns. They did not look as shocked as he was, but their similarly damaged monitor rooms and stress were unmistakable.
The teens were sent away home for their safety and the 15 test subjects were sent to different monitored rooms to check if the experiment could be salvaged.
They succeeded. Gwen's watch destroyed every sample of the lizard serum in both vials and human bodies in Oscorp Tower. Thanks to Karen and Peter's Upgraded phone, no one could trace it back to the teens. It bought them some time before more trials could be performed to prove Oscorp intended to weaponize the serum and sell it to questionable people. There was only one problem. The Omnitrix's power core was drained to 1% before it could cure one last target.
None of the teens could talk about it until they exited the tower. Once outside, Peter tried to congratulate Gwen and give her the stage to tell him her secret a moment before his improved phone notified him about Nir Vax.
"What is it now?" Gwen asked impatiently, "I thought they got him after you got shot."
"They did," Peter confirmed. He ignored that Gwen could have had only a few ways to know about his run with Detective Yuri Watanabe, "It says that Nir escaped his arrest before his trial."
He ran away and searched for a place to change into his black suit, red mask, and gloves. Gwen wanted to join him, but with her Omnitrix almost drained enough to damage its power core again, her car parked next to Oscorp Tower, and needing to get home before dinner, she could not do so without causing problems.
...
A blonde man in a prison uniform and a star mark on his wrist ran through the streets. He continued for hours in populated areas with occasional short breaks in hidden spots, getting more public attention with every passing moment. At one point, he reached an area with no visible civilians and caught his breath.
A unit of cops watched him from an ally, waiting for the right moment to catch their target. One officer started to lose his patience, "Why are we wasting time on this bull crap? That guy is probably not even real?" He whispered to one of his fellow cops.
"The captain and at least two detectives believe he is real, so that is enough for me," His friend replied, "Are you saying that because of that blurry video on the Bugle?"
"No," The first cop denied, "I just don't believe a guy can lift cars without an Iron Man armor."
"What about Captain America?" A third cop challenged, "He could do half the things this guy can do in World War Two. Maybe they are related."
"No way," The first cop dodged his peer's point, "Captain America died a virgin."
"Quiet," Captain Stacy ordered, "Something is wrong. This guy was obsessed with Vax and people who looked like him. Detective Watanabe heard him saying Vax was his target. He should have showed up by now."
"Maybe he can tell that this is not the real Nir Vax, and you should have given this masked guy more credit," A 5th voice said, causing the unit to turn around. Sticking to a wall, was the spider-themed masked guy, "I will give you credit. It almost worked."
They tried to draw their guns, only to get their hands webbed to their hosters.
"Who are you?" Captain Stacy stepped forward while trying to free his hand.
"Really?" The masked guy asked, "No one gets the idea of the mask?"
"Is this a joke to you?" Captain Stacy asked angrily, "You have taken the law to your hands, caused property damage, and inflicted punic in the streets. You caught some criminals, but you are not innocent!"
"So, you don't want me around?" The masked guy dropped from the wall and stood at eye level with the Captain. A cop from a different unit aimed their rifle at him, unprepared for the masked vigilante to close the distance in a blur, crash his rifle, and web him before walking back to the captain, "Fine. I was about to retire anyway. Feel free to dismiss your task force and use these resources on the real criminals."
"Like Nir Vax?" The Captain asked, "What makes him so special?"
Instead of answering, Peter turned around and prepared to jump atop the building.
"Wait!" The Captain shouted, "Who are your partners?"
Peter gave him a look, "These webs will come off in an hour. Tell your other units that you won't need to worry about me or my partner anymore."
'Partner... Singular...' The Captain thought as he reached to his radio with his free hand, "Attention, all units: The operation has failed."
Peter swung between buildings until he reached Gwen's neighborhood, changing into his casual clothes and walking the rest of the way to her address. He had walked there once before with Gwen the day after he got his powers, but he remembered the path well enough. He was about to enter when the doorman stopped him
"Wow!" The man blocked Peter's path as soon as he noticed him, "Can I help you, sir?"
"Yeah, no..." Peter said confusedly, "I'm good. I'm going on a..." He reached for his backpack to get the note with Gwen's address, only to realize that it would achieve nothing alone.
"Dropping off or picking up?" The doorman asked.
"Am I what?" Peter asked. That man was confusing.
"Are you dropping off or picking up?" The man asked again, "You are a messenger, right? Do you have a package in that bag?"
"I am not a messenger. I am having dinner with these... em..."
"Who were you here to see?" The doorman asked intimidately.
"Gwen Stacy..." Peter stated the obvious, "Did no one...?"
"Your name?" The doorman added intensity to his intimidating deminer.
"Peter," Peter replied to the intimidating doorman. That guy was not as tall as Peter, but he struck more fear in him than most of the criminals he fought that week. Despite the man's intimidation, Peter corrected himself, "I'm sorry, my name is Peter Parker. Why? Didn't they tell you I was coming?"
"Is she tutoring you?" The man showed a more accepting deminer for a moment but still found a way to insult Peter's ego. He loved Gwen and knew she was smart, but being told she was smarter than him enough to tutor him for school was absurd.
Peter could only shake his head.
"Can you open the bag please?" When Peter stared at him and was not eager to comply, the doorman gave his ultimatum, "No bag, no Gwen."
...
Gwen sat on her bed, reading a book in her room, and set her Omnitrix to another manual recharge mode to accelerate its repairs. It should be fixed in less than 2 days if she plays her cards right. She wore the same blue sweater, green skirt, brown boots, and hairstyle as at school and work. Her sweater was at least one size too big but hugged the right places. It also allowed the sleeves to cover the Omnitrix flawlessly. Her skirt reached her knees and was made of thick fabric and designed to move around if necessary. Her boots almost reached her knees, did not give her much height, and were reasonably flexible for their fashionable design. Overall, her outfit was practical for movement and maintained her elegance while covering more skin than most of her outfits.
Peter appeared at her window. She did not notice him until he knocked on the glass with as little force as he could muster.
Gwen saw him and opened the window with a smile on her face, "Hey," She chirped, "Why didn't you take the elevator?"
"I am my own elevator. Also, your doorman is intimidating," Peter replied with honesty as he entered through the window with casual agility, "So, this is your room, huh?" He looked around.
"Yes, this is my room," Gwen said with a smile. She saw his disturbed expression and sweaty body and approached him, "I assume you have taken care of that issue. Now that Nir Vax is out of the picture, how do you feel?"
"My uncle is still in a coma, and Tennyson is the only one who can heal him..." He paused, "I don't know if my uncle will make it, but I trust this guy. Rook Schmooze told me not to tie my happiness to Nir's capturing, but I feel better."
Gwen hugged him and he hugged her back immediately. There were no words to describe how glad she was to know that his uncle's well-being was a higher priority for him than the guy who shot him. That made her wonder about something, "Do you plan to keep being Spider-Man?"
Peter did not answer right away. Frankly, he was not sure if he should. He wore the mask to catch Nir, and that purpose was fulfilled. However, he had developed a liking for catching other criminals. But with the police focusing on him instead of the criminals, maybe it was his time to follow his promise to Gwen's father and her advice and retire.
"I need to take a break," Peter answered, "I had an unfortunate run with your father less than an hour ago, and he was not happy. You said it yourself: I have to stay low for a while."
"Yeah, it is the smart thing to do... for now..." She responded and deepened the hug, "I know it puts you in danger and goes against what my father represents, but I don't want you to quit. You help people even if you don't see it. Even if my dad hates you for it. You help this city in ways my dad and I can't, and I know you need it just as much as the people live safer thanks to you."
He kissed the top of her head and smiled. That girl was the best girlfriend he could wish for. He realized something, "Wait, Spider-Man?"
Gwen giggled, "There is no official name for 'him' yet," She reasoned, "Do you prefer 'The Crazy Masked Guy'?"
Peter returned the laugh, "I don't know. I think Bug-Boy is a nice nickname."
Gwen blushed, "Only I can call you that!" Gwen declared, "And only when we are alone."
He looked back at her bed, 'We are alone now...' He thought before crashing that train of thought. Gwen had similar thoughts, but she hid them well. They broke the hug and looked down at the growing gap between them, more specifically, at the one thing Gwen's blue sweater amplified, "Are we okay with what happened after you... your friend fixed my phone?"
It was obvious he did not refer to their team-up to save those people. Gwen tried to hide her blush and smiled, "I can't say I expected it to happen, but it wasn't so bad. Your phone stood in the way, though," She looked him in the eyes, "How was it?"
Peter's blush appeared, "I loved it," He looked away momentarily, "I don't hold my phone right now. Can I try again?"
Before she could reply, they heard a knock on the door.
Her father entered the room, "Hey hun," He said as he saw the two teens with guilty expressions, "You must be Peter. How long were you here?"
Peter could not speak. He knew who the Captain was, but when they met less than an hour ago, he forgot to disguise his voice, and there was no way he could hide it forever as Peter around him.
Gwen noticed it and came to the rescue, "Dad, this is Peter, my boyfriend. He came here with me two hours ago, and we were here the whole time."
"Hey," Peter said with a less confident voice while shaking Gwen's dad's hand, hoping the man would not recognize his voice. At least Gwen made it unlikely for him to suspect his timing, "Nice to meet you."
The Captain's eyes widened briefly, "Nice to meet you. You look sweaty for someone who sat in a room for 2 hours. What happened here?"
"I... I was nervous about meeting you," Peter reasoned, "I've never dated anyone before, let alone someone whose dad has the authority to use a gun."
George smiled, "I know the feeling, kid. It's natural to be nervous in your shoes. I won't use my gun if you don't give me a reason. Have you?"
"N-No, sir!" Peter answered.
"Dinner is ready," George smiled. His suspicion decreased, "I hope you love Branzino."
"Who doesn't?"
...
Peter and the Stacys were seated at the table with Peter facing Gwen and her parents facing each other. Initially, Peter struggled to cut his Branzino, but Howard helped him, allowing them to meet face-to-face, "Everyone struggles with their first Branzino heads," Gwen's younger brother reassured him.
"George," Helen tried to break some ice, "Why won't you tell us about your day?"
"Yeah," Howard chimed, "Did you catch that spider guy?"
"Not yet," Gwen's father answered in a tone that would fit well in an interview, "But we will. He is an amateur who assaults civilians late at night. He is clumsy and leaves clues, but he is still dangerous. I don't think that guy even believes in what he does."
"How dangerous is he?" Peter asked in fake disbelief, "I saw someone who looked like him taking a beating from a pale man with red eyes and grey hair in my neighborhood last week. How can that spider guy expect people to believe those blurry videos with the car?"
George narrowed his eyes, "You saw a masked man fighting an old junky and didn't call the police?"
"M-My phone broke 8 days ago," Peter answered quickly between bites, "and that other guy more than held his own with his knife," No one noticed Gwen's feared expression when her boyfriend mentioned Alien V, "If that was the spider guy, I would say that he was over his head from the start and couldn't have held his own against the police if he ever met them, no matter what he believes in."
"You seem to know a lot about that guy from one interaction that could be with someone else," George pointed out in a judging tone, noticing the gap between Peter's claims and what he knew about the masked man, "Do you know something that we don't?"
Peter exchanged a brief look with Gwen before answering, "I think that guy is most of the things you said, other than him being dangerous."
There was a brief pause.
"Right," George spoke after a moment, "So, Peter, tell us about yourself."
"There is not much to tell," Peter said in a calmer tone, "I rival Gwen's grades and work with her at Oscorp Tower."
"And you told me I spent too much time with Kate and Ashley between school and homework," Howard commented while looking at his sister.
"I know who Ashley is," Peter replied in genuine interest, "Who is Kate?"
"Someone Ashley's sister bullies," Howard answered, "I think she took a break."
"What do you do between school and work?" George directed the conversation back at Peter, "Do you have interesting hobbies?"
"I build computers and write programs," Peter answered, "I try to create a great management algorithm to help people manage their time and money better."
George nodded, "Your parents must be proud of you."
"Dad," Gwen prevented a potential argument, "Peter lives with his aunt and uncle."
"Plane crash," Peter added.
"Oh, dear," Helen's eyes widened.
Howard did not respond verbally.
"I'm sorry," George apologized.
"Peter, let's get some fresh air," Gwen got off her chair and walked toward the balcony, "Dad, we need to talk later."
"Yes," George responded, "We do."
...
The couple exited to the balcony. Dinner went better than it could, but one could not ignore the tension between Gwen's father and Peter, "That was something," Gwen stated with a breath of relief.
"I'm sorry," Peter apologized, "I thought he found out at one point."
"Even if he did, I would have fought for you. I won't let him arrest you," Gwen reassured, "But I don't think he knows."
"I know," Peter smiled, "There is something I need to tell you."
"What is it?" Gwen asked.
"I know what..." A combination of police sirens at the bridge and his Spider-Sense cut him off.
An hour and a half earlier.
Doctor Curtis Connors reviewed the damage to his lab and ran blood tests on all 15 test subjects. It looked like a sabotage. Unlike him, they were back to normal, save for slightly stronger immunity systems. Connors, however, still had his arm, no longer needed glasses, and felt stronger than ever. Only two other people worked within sabotage distance from the volunteers, and now that he knew about the nature of the failure in his experiment, he regretted letting them go.
He knew where to find them and took a cab to their location. During the 30-minute ride, Curtis felt more scales growing on his skin and his clothes getting tighter. Something has grown from his lower back and claws penetrated his gloves.
The process was both painful and illuminating. It was as if hundreds of previously unknown chains had come off of him. The cab driver looked back through the mirror and screamed his lungs out.
"I have to go," Peter stated.
"Be careful," She pulled him into a deep kiss, knowing that the police could target him over the disaster. Peter returned the kiss quickly enough to fool Gwen into thinking it was mutually initiated.
"Gwen," Helen exited to the balcony and called out, interrupting the young couple, "Your father is needed. He asked you two to get inside."
Helen got inside and Gwen followed. She saw Peter jumping off the balcony while spinning in the air and putting on his mask when she looked back. The Omnitrix chose that moment to beep back into [Active Mode].
"I'm in trouble."
Terror struck the bridge, causing chaos as cars were pushed everywhere, traffic came to a halt, and people panicked. It all started with one former man.
Peter swung through the city and reached the bridge before the police, already in his black jacket and jeans and red mask and gloves. He looked down and saw a humanoid reptile twice his size about to throw a car off the ledge.
He leaped and webbed the car to the bridge with his strongest web. Once he secured the web, the Lizard hurled another car, this one bearing an Oscorp logo. The process repeated itself four more times by the time the masked hero and the monstrous Lizard exchanged looks. Peter was about to fight the lizard when he heard a cry for help from behind him. Peter looked back at the man before returning his attention to the fleeing reptile.
Seeing the Lizard was no longer attacking anyone and people needed help, Peter approached the African-American man.
"Somebody, help me!" The man cried again, "My nephew is trapped!"
Peter jumped down towards the hanged car and ripped off the closest entry point, its back window.
"I want my uncle!" The kid within cried, "Uncle!"
"Hey, hey, hey," Peter tried to calm the kid.
"Help!" The kid cried again, unaware of Peter's flashy action.
Peter tried to calm the kid down, only for the kid to direct his fear at the masked man sneaking behind him. With no other choice, Peter took off his mask, "Hey, look. I'm a normal guy, alright?" It worked; the kid looked at Peter with a neutral expression. Peter offered his mask, "Wanna hold this?" When the kid nodded, Peter tossed the mask to his hand, "Hold my mask."
Moving forward in gaining the kid's trust, Peter tried to establish improved communication, "What's your name?" He looked at the kid's backpack, where he saw a written word, "Miles?"
"Yes," Miles answered to his savior.
"Let's get you out of here," Peter climbed down the car. It looked like his first direct saving went smoothly until a leak from the car's fuel tank reached a shortened flashlight at the front, combusting the car's external structure.
The flames burned the web's attachment to the car's rear, forcing Peter to fire another one at the bridge. The vehicle fell with Peter holding its heating rear and Miles still inside. As flames and smoke intensified his effort, Peter struggled to maintain his grip, "Miles, climb now."
"I can't."
"Yes, you can!" Peter encouraged as more smoke hit his face and pieces of the car fell off. Damn it! He had to save the kid! His uncle counted on him. But he was useless in that position. He needed help. He needed something to help him push through! A hero! He wasn't even sure if he thought about himself or Miles.
At that moment, Peter thought of something. Miles just needed something to believe in, "Put it on," Peter coughed, "The mask. It's gonna make you strong. Miles, trust me. Put it on."
Miles followed Peter's instructions; he put on the mask and climbed up the car's internal structure until he reached close to Peter.
"There you go," Peter coughed more heavily, unaware of the piece he held detaching from the car, "That's it! That's it, buddy."
Peter kept encouraging Miles to climb and Miles followed his hero's words. The kid was at Peter's reach when the car came apart. The vehicle fell with Miles still in it. Both of them screamed as the distance between them grew. Acting quickly, Peter used his now free hand to fire a web line at Miles's chest, saving him while letting the burning car fall into the river below.
Peter sighed in relief while pulling Miles into his arms before climbing up.
Miles's uncle watched from above. He could not see Peter's face from above, and it did not matter to him. All he cared for was bringing his nephew home safe and sound. Peter, now with the mask back on his face, climbed back to the bridge with Miles in his arms.
"Miles!" His uncle hugged him, "Oh, God. Thank God. Are you okay?"
Peter watched with tears in his eyes under his mask. There is nothing he can do to reunite with his uncle, but thanks to his actions, another kid, not much older than Peter was when he lost his parents, was united with his loving uncle.
Was that the feeling of being a true hero?
The uncle looked Peter in his masked eyes, "Thank you. Who are you?"
"I'm Spider-Man."
Author's Notes:
So, George Stacy knows that the few superpowered people who helped Peter are one person. I am sure Peter's slip will not backfire.
I had to change the dinner scene due to the butterfly effect and because I hated how it treated Peter in the movie. In the film, he all but told George that he was Spider-Man. I made it about him hiding his identity when George has already suspected something because Peter shares a voice with Spider-Man.
Also, yay, Peter calls himself Spider-Man. There is a reason I chose this name for this chapter.
Who is ready for an after-credit scene?
Peter had easier experiences saving people from the other dangling cars. Before he could get to the last one, he saw a familiar blue blur running across the water before disappearing in a flash of green light. In a moment, there was a second flash, and he saw an ugly mermaid jumping out of the water towards the last car and saving the people inside.
Ripjaws had the luxury of forcing people to accept her help and leaping upward to safety while they held tight to her scaled skin. They still ran away as soon as they could, but it did not matter to her. She had a greater concern.
"When will I be able to equip a rebreather?" She asked.
"In one day and fourteen hours," Eunice answered, "You can shorten it by setting the Omnitrix to manual Recharge Mode and... Oh no."
"What is...?" Before she could finish, she saw a web blom shot at the destroyed car before her. She turned around and saw Spider-Man staring at her.
