Halo, it's time for the newest chapter. Enjoy the reading.

The day has come when the reclamation of the White Fang begins. Blake was sure it was possible to talk the wayward faunus back from their path of violence and destruction, but he couldn't do it alone. Her father, Ghira, supported her in everything and knew that he had to speak up and take the first step.

He spent the whole evening writing his speech and walking up and down the house rereading it, correcting it and reciting it to himself. Everyone waited in tense silence as he prepared to give his speech. Finally, he stopped but a weary sigh and a shake of his head made it clear that he wasn't satisfied with the speech he had written and that he couldn't do better.

- Are you ready? – His wife put her hand on his shoulder encouragingly, indicating that she believed in her husband.

- Yes. - He wasn't so sure himself but he took one last look at the paper. - It won't be easy to convince people but the truth is often quite difficult to accept but I know that this is the right decision. – His daughter, Blake, also stood by him.

- You will succeed. - Supported by Sun, Lynda and Monty.

There was nothing to do, the news had already spread that Ghira was going to give a speech and the population of menagerie had gathered in front of the Belladonna mansion. As soon as he stood behind the podium, the eyes of the gathered people, the lenses of the cameras and the Scrolls were all focused on him.

Blake, Sun and Lynda just stood by the podium while Monty stayed behind with Khali. The microphone is turned on, indicating that he will begin his speech in seconds.

- Thank you all for coming. – Ghira began his speech. – I would like to start by dispelling the doubts that have plagued our island. I feel it's important that the people of this area understand the truth. No matter how you felt about the human race, we can all agree that the fall of Beacon, which happened not so long ago, is a true tragedy. A tragedy that deeply affected humans and faunus alike. Although the main aggressor is still unknown, it has been officially confirmed to be Adam Taurus, - He looked contemptuously at the two White Fang emissaries. - the leader of a very strong, rogue faction took a serious role in this event. His actions not only tarnished the reputation of the organization that was originally created in the name of peace and equality but caused serious harm to our entire species. Every day that this man's actions go unpunished, it will be awfully hard to convince the people who look down on us. – The gathered faunus began to whisper nervously and the White Fang's delegates were also interested but he raised one hand to signal the crowd to be calm. - Recently, a spy from the same renegade faction attacked my own daughter, Blake and her friends in my own home but luckily, they were able to deal with this individual. Although one of them was physically injured and the culprit escaped, - He took out Ilia's Scroll from his pocket. – we managed to get her Scroll. Thanks to this, we have evidence that Adam Taurus plans to assassinate the current leader of the White Fang, Sienna Khan and take her place. – The crowd started to worry and shout loudly again. - And his radical plan doesn't stop there! - He held the Scroll up high. – In the Scroll, it's described in detail that his next destination will be Haven academy and the CCT-tower there and on the night of the next full moon, before the start of the fall semester, that's it two months from today. I sent my fastest messenger to warn the Mistral government but I feel we have a more serious responsibility. My relationship with the White Fang might be a bit…interesting. I founded this organization years ago to help create a world where all faunus who wanted to be equal to humans. Although I thought we were making good progress and could have achieved serious results in time, they wanted faster results both inside and outside the organization, so I stepped back and appointed Sienna Khan as my successor. It's true that I didn't agree with her methods but what I did agree with was what she fought for. For peace and equality between faunus and humans. This isn't the goal of Adam Taurus. What he's up to isn't for anyone's benefit but himself. I think, - He raised his voice. - it's time for the faunus to show the world that we are indeed equal! Time to deal with this renegade faction! Restore the former glory of the White Fang! – The crowd started cheering. - And to that, the answer is clear! We must go to Haven and protect it at all costs! – The cheering and applause suddenly stopped and stunned silence fell on the court of the manor. - Before we go any further, I'd like my daughter to share her own story. Not only as a former member of the White Fang but as a survivor of Beacon. – Blake stepped forward, but her father still whispered kindly to her. - You can do it.

- TRAITORS! – A loud shout could be heard from the crowd and the same girl who attacked them last time revealed herself.

- Ilia! - Sun found out.

- We'll catch you now! - Lynda also drew her blades.

- Cowards! - Ilia yelled contemptuously and looked around at the crowd, who backed away from the Grimm masked girl in horror. - After the way humans treated us, after what they did to us, - She looked back at the Belladonna family. – are you asking us to help them?!

- I know, - Ghira raised his hands defensively. - that we weren't treated the best, but...

- Where was their help, - Ilia didn't even listen, she just continued shouting angrily. – when the Dust companies treated us like slaves?! Where was their help when the kingdoms hunted our kind like animals?! Where was my help when my parents were killed in a Dust mine?! Where?!

- Young lady, - Ghira tried to calm her down and remain diplomatic. - the result requires patience and cooperation.

- The Belladonna family is the worst of the faunus! – Ilia still wasn't paying attention and the cameras were already pointed at her. - They want us to work with the same people who are trying to oppress us! If you really, - She looked over the crowd again. – really want to help our people, it's time to support Adam and not the Belladonnas! He will bring us the future we deserve and if you are too cowards to fight, know that the White Fang will do it for you!

- Shut up! - Sun jumped out of the crowd to attack her but Ilia used her whip-sword to dodge him.

- After her! – A police officer shouted, pointing at the fleeing Ilia.

The RRNJL had at least a dozen questions in their minds after a boy named Oscar Pines appeared at their apartment door claiming to be the dead Professor Ozpin.

- Did he rejuvenate? - Nora guessed.

- Or possessed! - Jaune snapped.

- Or reincarnated? - Ren mused.

- Or a clone? "Lance also had a theory.

- Isn't it weird? – Ruby didn't understand anything but all 5 of them were curious about the boy, who didn't know much more than they did.

- Very strange indeed. – Sighed Oscar, who was sitting in an armchair, while the 5 older students joined him.

- Okay, kids, - Qrow stopped them. – how about we give him a minute and remember that this is very stressful for all of us. - The team nervously took a few steps back as soon as they noticed how much they attacked Oscar with their curiosity and questions.

- Thanks. - Oscar was grateful for the intercession of Qrow, who sat down on the couch next to him. He glanced nervously and awkwardly at Ruby and blushed a little. - Sorry, I just haven't met real Hunters and Huntresses until now.

- Well... - Ruby noticed how nervous Oscar was and tried to calm him down. – and we have never met a person who had two souls. So, it's a first time for everyone. - That worked because Oscar let up a bit but Qrow cleared his throat, signaling that it was time to get to the point.

- I don't like to interrupt your getting-to-know-each-other games, - He looked at Oscar in a serious way. - but we need to talk. With your roommate, kid.

- Fine. Okay. - Oscar sighed and leaned forward. - I'm just telling you in advance, I'll still be here. - He closed his eyes as if trying to meditate but suddenly a green light appeared around him, which made him open his eyes, which glowed yellow for a moment, then turned back to green.

- A great relief, - He spoke again but as if he had become a completely different person. - that I see you safe and sound, students.

Everyone looked at him in shock, shaking their heads or looking at each other in confusion.

- Wait, - Jaune didn't understand. - what happened now?

- Professor… Ozpin? - Ren couldn't believe his eyes either.

- All right, - Oscar answered, but it wasn't him at all. – although I'm not the only one talking, as Oscar is also mentally present. He was only giving me his ability to speak at the moment so that I could speak. - For a moment, he took a break but he continued. - I'm afraid the situation is worrying.

- And terrifying! – Nora interrupted. - And bizarre! And it's hard to believe! – Oscar, rather Ozpin just laughed at Nora's comment.

- Good to see you guys still have your sense of humor. - His face became serious now. – I know that you have already gone through incredible difficulties. - He lowered his head. - I'm sorry.

- Well, - Ruby didn't understand why the former director was apologizing. – it's not your fault? - Ozpin just stared at Ruby bitterly and ashamed.

- It's all my fault. I have already mentioned that I have made more mistakes than any man, woman or child in this world. - Qrow got up to make some coffee. - That wasn't an exaggeration at all. I was cursed. I've been walking Remnant for thousands of years and during that time I've lived, died, and reincarnated into another person's body who knows how many times. Professor Ozpin, as you describe me, wasn't my first version of me and definitely not my last. It's… an incredibly complicated process.

- So… - Jaune didn't even know what to ask. - who or what are you?

- I am the amalgamation of the souls of countless people who gave their lives to protect Remnant. - Qrow returned with the coffee and handed it to Ozpin. – With each rebirth, my soul merges with another's and I change but my memories stay with me. - He looked into the black coffee and saw Oscar's face in it but his eyes were yellow. - This curse was placed on me by the gods for not being able to stop Salem in the past. – He looked up from the coffee and looked determinedly at the young people. - But we have to stop her now.

After a short silence, Ruby spoke.

- So… how can we do this?

- First of all, - He crossed his legs and leaned on the arm of the armchair. – we must secure the relic of Knowledge.

- It's perfect! - Nora jumped up excitedly. – So far, we've been totally stuck but now we can take the cute little boy Ozpin to Lionheart and everything will be solved!

- Please don't call me that. – Ozpin liked Nora's enthusiasm but less so as she named him.

- And it's not even a good idea. - Qrow joined in and Nora blew angrily and sat back down.

- But... - Ren didn't understand either. - I thought you're in command among the headmasters?

- Basically, yes. - Ozpin nodded. - They were officers I could trust. Especially during the reincarnation period. - He stood up anxiously and, clasping his hands behind his back, went forward. - But Qrow told me how the conversation with Leo went. Not only he's behaving irrationally but he has broken clear orders that I have issued for situations like this. Something's wrong. - He stopped in front of Mistral's portrait. - I don't want to jump to conclusions but I can't ignore it either. Apart from you, no one knows yet that I was reborn in Oscar and I think it's wisest if it stays that way for the time being.

- We better have an escape route, - Qrow gave the short answer. – until we are sure of our business.

- Exactly. – Ozpin answered and now turned to the students. - Now we have two tasks. - The first, - He held up one of his fingers. – we need to recruit as many Hunters as possible to help guard the relic.

- But the Mistral Council… - Ren was about to remind them but Qrow quickly stopped him.

- Doesn't own every Hunter in the kingdom. And I know exactly where to look for them.

- Provided, - Ozpin added. – if they are reliable. - Qrow just smiled confidently.

- I assure you they can fight. I'll write a list tonight and… - As he leaned back and put one leg on the coffee table in front of it, one leg broke and the cup on it flew off and shattered. – Sh*t!

- Good luck for that. - Nora said to him, while Qrow just angrily cleaned up the remains of the mug.

- Until then, - Ozpin walked in front of the students. – we can focus on the second task.

- What is the second task? – Nora stood up curiously, before Ozpin just grabbed his cane.

- Getting you in combat shape. - Everyone looked at each other in confusion at this statement.

- But… - Ruby began awkwardly. - we already know how to fight. – At this statement, Ozpin pointed his wand directly at Ruby.

- You can only fight well as long as you have Crescent Rose! I'm guessing you're still bad at hand-to-hand combat?!

- Well... - Ruby started to wring her fingers awkwardly and furtively looked to the side, but finally she opened her arms and admitted it. - yes.

- Mr. Arc, - He now pointed the wand at Jaune. – I'm happy to hear that you've improved a lot in combat but I'm sorry that you still haven't been able to discover your Semblance. – Jaune just looked to the side in frustration but Ozpin measured the rest of the team. - You all have improved a lot but you still have a long way to go before you can face Salem and servants. - He took his cane back and rested it on his shoulder. - And even though Oscar can transfer control over his body, I still need to strengthen his body and aura. - He turned his stick and rested it on the ground. – Over time, my muscle memory is transferred to it but practice speeds up the process.

- But… - Ruby didn't understand one more thing. – if Qrow goes to find the Hunters, who will teach us?

- That's a stupid question. - Lance added, looking at Ozpin as he jumped up, spun around and landed in the middle of the armchair as he kept spinning his cane.

- Well… after all, I was the headmaster of Beacon Academy. - Everyone stared at the boy in front of them with admiration and amazement. - We have about two months until classes resume at Haven. If Salem has any sense, she'll attack right before the students return. I know it's not a lot of time but it's better than nothing. - He stopped twirling his cane, confidently gripped it and smiled. - Just don't expect me to treat you gently. – His body again radiated green light, he lost his balance and fell backwards, tilting the armchair with him.

- He's got to be kidding, isn't he? - That was clearly Oscar.

Mike, on Yang's instructions, had already been driving the RV for hours, which the bandit told him, since the guy Yang beat up at the gas station turned out to be a member of the Branwen bandit clan and knew Raven. The car went along a forest path, Mike was driving, Yang was sitting in the first seat and the bandit stood between them and told Mike where to go.

- How far is it? - Yang asked and the bandit just looked out the window and answered confidently.

- I think it will be good here in the clearing.

- It's very nice of you to help us. - Mike smiled innocently and unsuspectingly as he slowed down and stopped.

- I'm going ahead to make sure it's safe. – The bandit had already gotten out of the car but Yang stared after him with a tired look as he ran into the trees, and she leaned against the trailer with crossed arms.

- Hm, what a nice guy. – Mike, on the other hand, was completely unfazed and naively believed everything this man said.

- Are you serious now? – Yang just shook her head, took the glove off her mechanical arm and stretched.

- For what? - Suddenly, a shot was heard and a small fireball flew towards Yang's head, which she shielded with the robotic arm. - Hey, - Mike glared at the returning bandit who had brought reinforcements to rob them together. – you almost hit one of us!

- I would have considered it as an accident! - The man laughed as he twirled his pistol but instead focused on Yang. - I can't believe you were stupid enough to let me lure you here! – The other bandits surrounded Yang and Mike menacingly.

- Um... - Mike still hasn't dropped it. – what's happening?

- Oh nothing, we just run our small family business. - The bandit made it as clear as possible but Mike was still confused. - Is he fooling? - He was already embarrassed that someone could be so slow-witted.

- No, - Yang replied in a rather tired style. - he's really that stupid.

- Hey! - Mike was a little offended by that.

- C'mon, - Yang just put her hand on her hip. – you didn't even recognize that your grandfather and his friend André were actually gay!

- What?! - It hit Mike like a cold shower.

- Sorry for the interruption, - The bandit just reminded them of the current situation with irritation. – but we're here to rob you!

- What?! - One surprise after another hit Mike but Yang didn't seem at all scared or surprised.

- Is that everyone? - Yang asked and the bandit just laughed.

- Yes, little lady. We are here. - He shrugged and pointed behind him. - Oh, and the whole camp on top of that.

- That way? – Yang, to be sure of her work, pointed to the same place as the bandit, which caused him and his companions to look at each other in confusion.

- Um... yes. That way.

- Good to know. - Yang confirmed. - Thank you.

- Now, - The bandit confidently walked forward. – in exchange for my tooth, we'll take your RV, your motorbike, - He prepared for a strong fight. – and we'll beat you up.

Mike just recoiled in horror but Yang just raised her slightly trembling arm and activated the remaining half of Ember Celica, preparing to fight. Mike, since What the Heck was still locked in his closet in the trailer, would have been unarmed, so he ran back into the trailer to get his weapon.

- Last time you were lucky and you surprised me, sweetheart, - The bandit's voice could be heard. – but from now on you'll think twice... - He stopped suddenly and was terrified of Yang. - Get her!

While looking for the key to the locker, Mike heard banging and gunshots outside but he found the key in the glove box but he was in such a hurry that he tripped and knocked a bowl full of keys off one of the counters. He dropped the key to the cupboard and it fell into the pile of keys.

"Ouch, Grandpa and Uncle André's key-collecting mania is making things difficult!", Mike thought nervously and began to search for the right key among the hundred ones.

There were more and more metallic knocks, shots and bangs coming from outside.

- IT DOESN'T BEND TO LEFT... - Crack! - ARGH... now it also bends to left...

Mike was getting more and more worried about Yang, who is forced to face a group of bandits determined to do anything alone and he is still looking for the goddamn key that can help her.

He finally found the right key, opened the cupboard and took What the Heck and immediately ran out of the RV to help her.

- Don't worry Yang, I'll save you! – He tried to aim with his weapon but all the bandits were lying on the ground, paining their injured limbs and Yang was standing above them and didn't even break a sweat.

- You're a little late. - Yang said.

- Who are you? - The man who led them here coughed and stood up. - Doesn't matter. Once Raven finds out what happened, you're done!

- It's possible, - Yang just turned to the man. – but I doubt it, since I'm her daughter.

Yang and Mike headed towards the camp where the bandits came from.

- I'm done... - That's all the man said before he collapsed.

Preparations for the trip to Mistral began, Emerald and Mercury started the plane that would allow them to leave Salem's hiding place and they were just waiting for Cinder, Roman and Neo. However, Emerald received a special assignment from Cinder that required her to go back to the hideout but carefully and quietly.

The mint-haired girl knew where to go and her Semblance made her perfectly suited to the task of sneaking in front of the room she was looking for.

- …that's a bad idea, Neo! - She heard Roman's voice but he seemed terribly angry. - Because these people are crazy! They want to destroy the world, not take it! - Although no one's voice was heard, it was clear that he was arguing with his silent girlfriend. Unfortunately, since Emerald couldn't see, she couldn't know what Neo might say, she could only deduce it from Roman's reaction.

- I say we should get off as soon as we get to Mistral! – Roman is planning to desert. – We'll figure something out but I'm sure that the longer we stay with them, the more likely we'll bite into the grass! – There was silence for a while, apparently Neo was signing something. - You've seen what they can do, you know what they want and you know they'll do it again! - Neo could sign again. - But only because we were very lucky! The chance that this could... Don't come at me with this again! You also know that... No! - Suddenly, a scuffle was heard from the room, Emerald backed away a bit as the sound of clattering and hitting came from the room.

The door slammed open and Roman fell through it, he rolled for a while, his hat fell off but with the help of Melodic Cludgel he got up and put his hat back on.

- Do you think - He looked quite worn, there was a tear on the shoulder of his jacket and a tear on the knee of his trousers. – you could do better on your own? - He looked angrily at Neo standing in the broken door, who looked at him angrily, leaning Hush on her shoulder but she also looked worn, there was a tear in her pants and her tailcoat looked stretched, they had clearly been fighting for a while.

Neo just pointed dismissively.

- Am I a coward?! – Roman started towards her angrily but Neo pointed Hush's blade at him. – I only have my mind in the right place! - Neo kept her eyes on Roman as she signed again. – How dare you?! My hat is not lame! But your hair is ugly! - At this Neo angrily attacked and slashed Roman's right cheek but Roman then slapped Neo, who fell to the ground but angrily looked up and snarled at him. - You're worthless without me! – Roman aimed Melodic Cludgel's crosshair and put his finger on the trigger. - You minus me equals a piece of sh*t.

- What's going on?! - From the end of the corridor, Salem stopped the fight, and everyone looked at the witch in horror. - Emerald?

- What... - Emerald, who was shocked to notice that the illusion that made her invisible turned off in shock. – I just came to see if Roman and Neo were coming, because we were just waiting for them.

- Me and Neo… - Roman lowered Melodic Cludgel. – were having a talk. - Neo just stood up angrily, rubbing her face.

- Really? - Salem's face was unmoved but her eyes were focused on Emerald. - It's time for you to go. Arthur is already ahead of you.

- Yes, Mistress. - Emerald bowed, turned and headed towards the plane.

- Sorry for yelling, ma'am. - Roman raised his hat apologetically and together with Neo they followed the other girl.

- I'll forgive it. - Salem answered but she also spoke to one of the members of the pair. - But I still have something to talk to you about! – Roman turned back confused.

- With me?

- No. - Salem looked directly at Neo. - With her. - Although none of them understood why Salem would want to talk to Neo, she had no objection to being separated from Roman for a while.

- Um... - Roman still tried. – Mistress, Neo doesn't speak and sign language is very...

- I know sign language, Roman. Go now. - Salem ordered and Roman thought it wiser not to object.

- Yes.

Neo watched as Roman left the hallway and was left alone with Salem, which she found very uncomfortable but the witch hadn't done anything to cause concern, yet. Neo just gestured for Salem to start what she had to say.

- He's your boulder. - She finally spoke but Neo just shook her head in confusion, "What?". - You're like a bird tied to a boulder. - Neo slowly but began to understand what Salem might be referring to. - I understand that you love Roman but that kind of love only brings you trouble over time. - She walked closer to Neo but she didn't move, although it was more from fear. - The bird, if freed from the boulder could fly far and do things that she would never have imagined. - She got behind her back and grabbed her other shoulder but Neo was trembling and couldn't move. - But if she doesn't, she's afraid the rock will drag her into the depths, break her wings and never be able to fly again. - She leaned right into Neo's ear as he hugged her petite body and whispered creepily into her ear. - I had a man in my life too, who was my boulder. - She chuckled a little. - It was the biggest mistake of my life that I didn't get rid of him in time.

Salem released Neo, who was still a little scared but understood what Salem was trying to say.

"Roman just pulls me back. He is too cowardly when he should be bold. He's hesitated, I'm collected. I don't need Roman anymore.", Neo deduced from Salem's words.
