Halo, it's time for the newes chapter. Enjoy the reading.
Although the Battle of Haven lasted no more than a few hours and ended as quickly as it began, the battle left the population deeply shaken. Next day when the sun dawned again, people slowly recovered from the shock and resumed their daily activities. The same was true for team RWBY, who woke up refreshed after a well-deserved, restful and peaceful night, knowing that they had done their job well last night.
They stopped the White Fang from destroying Haven Academy and the CCT-Tower, obtained the Relic of Knowledge and stopped Salem's plan.
Although the details weren't revealed to the media, only that the terrorist faction of the White Fang was stopped by the peaceful faction led by Ghira Belladonna from Menagerie. The official version only reports that Qrow and the students only went to visit Professor Leonheart to help the academy but Leonardo's betrayal was kept a secret, people were made to believe that he died as a hero, protecting the academy.
Team RWBY, if they were successful, still had questions for their mentor, Ozpin, who was currently too exhausted and Oscar, who still needed rest in his body, so they couldn't question him. The other figure they had questions about was their newest companion, Roman Torchwick, who had supposedly defected to them.
- How long are we going? - Yang demanded the answer after Roman agreed to answer their questions today.
- A few more corners. - Answered Roman, who was familiar in the city of Mistral, since he grew up here.
- And do they cook well? – Ruby was interested, since Roman had promised to take them to a restaurant.
- Well... - Roman couldn't answer this question. - I ate there a lot when I was a child. It seemed so then.
- And what kind of place will it be?! – Weiss was excited about the fact that after so much travel, fighting and home cooking, they finally had the opportunity to eat in a proper restaurant. - Traditional Mistralian? Perhaps an exotic Vacuoan? Elegant Atlasian?!
- Let it be a surprise. - Roman just laughed and shrugged. – The menu changes daily.
- Menu... - Weiss clasped her hands and laid her head on them, closed her eyes and imagined the restaurant she dreamed of, where an elegant head waiter welcomes them, seats them at a laid table and the head chef finds new and creative dishes on a daily basis who dazzles his guests with. - Will be there a Cake Butler...? - She muttered to herself as she began to drool.
- Cake... Butler? - Roman just shook his head in confusion.
- A butler who's responsible to bring cake. - Ruby gave the answer as the others started to giggle. - It was Weiss's favorite.
- We don't have to get in fancy dress? - Yang hoped.
- It's not neccessary. - Roman reassured. - I'm sure you'll be the prettiest there.
- Is it on you? - Blake wanted to clarify something important.
- It's on me. - Roman assured them after they turned the corner. – We're here. - He spread his arms as soon as they reached the front of the restaurant.
- This… - Yang, even if she wasn't a fan of elegant restaurants with high level of etiquette, she really didn't expect the type of restaurant that Roman had just brought them to.
- You can't be serious?! - Blake crossed her arms in disdain.
- You got to be kidding? - Ruby hoped that Roman was only joking.
- My goodness! – Weiss, whose mind was still clouded by the pink imaginary fog, tried hard to see the positives. - It's so cute!
- Weiss… - Ruby could hardly believe that Weiss was the only one who liked the place. - what are you...
- It has a little rustic charm. – Even subconsciously, Weiss was unable to see how Roman had put her and her friends. It was a small makeshift dining room converted into an old warehouse, which had several large, long and huge tables surrounded by low wooden benches and which were quite full. There were no decorations, no welcoming reception, not even waiters to serve. - Maybe they have a Vacuoan table where everyone takes what they want.
- Weiss, - Yang tried to make her friend understand that this wasn't a dream restaurant she was fantasizing about. - open your... - Roman just stopped her by putting his hand on her shoulder.
- Wait, I wonder when she'll figure out.
- It's not funny! - Yang shook off Roman's gloved hand.
- What's the name of the place? - Weiss looked up at the battered green board with the name of the place written in faint but legible letters. – Mistral's Houm-eless Kit-chien? – The girl still looked in with an ear-to-ear smile. – It's a pretty fancy name.
- Okay, - Yang also smiled at Weiss's ignorance and had to admit one thing to Roman. - it's really funny.
- Oh, how nice they are, - Weiss was touched by the fact that the homeless people entering the restaurant. - the homeless people can even use the bathroom. They can pick up a tray, stand in line, receive food as a charity, which... - The pink fog in her mind began to clear and slowly but gradually she began to see the gray, harsh reality. - they don't take out... but... they're sitting down... and... they eat here... - Weiss was struck by a terrible realization like a bolt of lightning. - MY GOD, YOU BROUGHT US TO A HOMELESS KITCHEN?!
- A+ for observation. - Roman just laughed at the rich girl's reaction.
- You don't expect, - Yang didn't want to eat here either. - we should we sit here?
- I WILL NOT SET MY FOOT IN HERE! - Weiss was still angry.
- What's wrong with you? - Roman shrugged.
- Roman, - Blake wanted to clarify one thing. - we aren't homeless.
- But we are hungry. – But Roman clarified another thing. - We haven't had breakfast yet and I said it's on me.
- Yeah, - Yang rolled her eyes. – the free kitchen, where you don't have to pay, it's on you.
- Can we get out of here, - Weiss muttered nervously. – before anyone really thinks we want to go in?!
- That's a pretty rough joke, Roman. - Ruby didn't laugh either.
- Calm down! - Roman was starting to lose his temper. - Not just the homeless ones who come here, drunks, criminals for a living, children from the orphanage and lazy, alcoholic work truants who ended up on the streets by their own fault. – This didn't improve the girls' opinion much and it wasn't helping to earn their trust when a larger group of hungry homeless people entered the restaurant. – Though the homeless are the target audience. – The girls' expressions, which were exactly the same, tired and suspicious, told Roman everything about their opinion. - I know what you're thinking, but this is a relatively an all right place! They don't spit in your food, clean once a week and don't give you spoiled food! This is considered luxury in a free kitchen! I used to eat here all the time when I was kid and I was fine!
- Why did you have to eat in a homeless kitchen as a child? - This thought crossed Ruby's mind.
- The caretakers kept bringing us here from the orphanage. - Answered Roman, who went forward, opened the door and his nose was hit by the familiar smell of musty wood, cheap food and unwashed homeless people. - Come on, - He signaled to the girls to follow him. - it will be good.
- I could eat. - Ruby was the first to follow.
- If we get answers this way. - Yang was already hoping that Roman would finally speak.
- I've seen worse. - Blake followed her teammates.
- You're really entering such a place?! - Weiss was left alone on the street and every inch of her was fiercely protesting to enter the restaurant.
- If you know another place where 5 of us can eat for free, we'll go there. - Roman offered an ultimatum, either come in and eat with her friends or go back to the apartment, alone and hungry.
- I will never forgive you for this. - Weiss finally gave in and crossed the worn threshold.
No one really cared about them, the homeless people just continued to eat, thankful that the restaurant provides them with at least one meal a day and they didn't even notice how a group of young people, who didn't seem to belong to them at all, ran through the dining room and the at the counter they were given a thick and cloudy soup in a plastic bowl and a bowl of mushy stew mixed with gravy, boiled potatoes and a slice of bread.
- It's not that bad. - Ruby liked the food.
- Compared to being a homeless kitchen. - Blake admitted it too.
- Maybe I'll hit up as a bum just for the food. – Yang also dug it in herself.
- Okay, - Weiss took a deep breath. - my dignity is now falling to the bottom. - She took a spoonful of the soup, put it in her mouth and swallowed it.
- Well, princess? - Roman confidently spooned his own soup. - How does the low-borns' food taste?
- Delicious. - Weiss blushed in embarrassment and continued to spoon.
- Told you.
- Okay, - Ruby, after finishing eating, pushed the bowl aside and looked seriously at Roman. – will you tell us now why you want to stay with us?
- Hm? - Roman took out a cigar and lit it. - Ah, yes. - He took a smoke and blew it out. - Like I said, I don't agree with Salem's plan to destroy the world but besides that, there's another reason, survival.
- Survival? – Ruby remembered well what Roman told her at the battle of Beacon, "Lie, steal, cheat and survive."
- Yes, - He leaned back comfortably as he continued to puff on his cigar. - the thing is, with the change of sides, Salem definitely wants to see me dead and will use Neo for this purpose.
- Neo? – Yang remembered the short girl with multicolored hair. – Was she your… girlfriend? – Roman leaned forward and fixed his suddenly strict green eyes on her but he didn't answer, he just blinked silently.
- Or just your friend? - Blake guessed but Roman was now looking at her, which made him look quite scary.
- Your partner? - Weiss went lower.
- Your sidekick? - Ruby finished.
- Something like that. - That's all Roman added. - Not incidentally, even Raven could be on my trail. - He rolled his eyes and shook his head. - I always trusted in the wrong women.
- So, Neo… - Ruby tried to be so tactful, she didn't know exactly what was between Roman and Neo but it was clear that Roman was very shaken by Neo's betrayal and also that he didn't want to talk about it. - will she come after you?
- You can bet on that. - Roman replied. - That girl knows me too well and I don't have much of a chance against her alone.
- Huh, - Yang thought something was ridiculous. – are you afraid of Neo?! We can see who wore the pants!
- I'd be a fool if I wasn't afraid, now that Neo wants to see me dead. - Roman was not affected by the insult to his manly pride. - Anyone who underestimates that short girl is making a huge mistake, after all, I taught her almost everything.
- I see, - Ruby already understood, Roman and Neo had been together for a long time and there was more than a simple working relationship between them. - and that's why you stay with us...
- Because with you there is a greater chance that I can fight her back.
- You really think, - Blake guessed. – she'll come after you?
- I know Neo. She doesn't like to do half a job, especially when it comes to a personal matter.
- But what happened between you? - Weiss disagreed.
- That's when Raven came into the picture. As soon as I found out what Salem's long-term plans were, I was looking only for a way out with Neo. I was hoping that she would have a plan to get out of her grasp and offered to join her clan if I helped her get the relic from Haven.
- But things didn't turn out the way you planned. - Ruby was sure of that one thing.
- Did Raven betray you? - Yang thought.
- No, - Roman angrily squeezed the butt of the already smoked cigar. – it was Neo. She told Cinder about my plan. It seems Neo didn't get that Salem just wanted to turn us against each other, which she seems to have succeeded in doing.
- Then, - Ruby already figured out the rest. - Neo made another offer to Raven to help kill you.
- You got it, Red! - Roman clapped.
- So, - Yang just crossed her arms in disdain. – you are only helping us to save yourself and…
- ...and for my own selfish interest! - Roman finished Yang's sentence with just a wave. - Put on another record, Blondie. - He stood up and headed for the exit. - I hope you all enjoyed your breakfast but now it's time to get back to the house.
- Roman, - Yang said to him, who also turned back. - we still don't trust you. - Roman just smiled slyly.
- This is the wisest thing you have done so far.
Back at the house, the members of team RWBY were given a huge head wash by Qrow.
- Where the hell have you been?! - It wasn't expression of how angry Qrow was.
- We went to breakfast with Roman. - Yang replied, not understanding why her uncle was so angry. - He said you allowed it.
- I didn't even know about it! - Qrow now turned to Roman, who innocently raised his hands.
- Actually, I said he didn't protest.
- I still don't understand why we couldn't talk here in the house? - Ruby asked the question.
- I promised you that I would answer your questions, - Roman just spread his arms. – not to your father and your friends.
- What?! - Ruby just shook her head. - Qrow's not my father, he's my uncle!
- Oh, - Roman was a little embarrassed that he had misjudged their relationship. - I was thinking he was.
- That's enough! - Qrow couldn't stand any more disobedience. - Don't go anywhere without me or Oz knowing! - He grabbed Roman's arm and looked angrily into his eyes. - Especially you!
- Oh, - Roman just put his other hand in front of his mouth with feigned concern. - am I grounded now?
- You… - Qrow was ready to smack the pompous bastard but Ozpin interrupted and Qrow released Roman.
- That's enough! – For Roman, it was a bit of a strange sight that a 14-year-old child commanded but he stood there like a wise man who had seen a lot, who had already lived more than anyone would think. - We can't fight each other! - He walked down with his cane, while the lantern hung on his belt and reached all the way to his knees. - The most important thing is to take the lantern to Atlas as soon as possible!
- To Atlas? - Ruby asked back.
- Atlas? - Yang too.
- Atlas? - So is Jaune.
- Atlas? - Nora and Ren at the same time.
- Atlas? - So is Mike.
- Atlas? - Lance too."
- Yeah, - Qrow just tiredly rubbed his forehead after everyone asked him one after the other. - to Atlas!
- Familiar from somewhere, - Roman tried to list the most characteristic qualities of Atlas. – advanced robots, the Schnee Dust Company, full of self-righteous snobs, as many rules as there are stars in the sky, bad food, worse weather, overpriced hotels, watered-down alcohol and stale tobacco? This is what stands out to me about Atlas.
- I somehow didn't know Atlas like that. - Weiss had a different opinion about Atlas. – I think it's an artistically beautiful city, full of luxury hotels, good restaurants, as well as the citadel of science and the arts and the CCT-Tower there is the biggest of all.
- Yes, - Roman just rolled his eyes. – this is how Atlas can be if you are rich. In reality, it is a hotbed of bureaucracy and corruption.
- Then for you it will surely be like going home. - Blake cut in.
- Hell no! - In Roman's voice you could feel that he took this as an insult. - Criminals there fight with pen and paper. - He clearly felt disgust for the Atlasian criminals. – They always want to solve everything with paper, they take out insurance policies that are full of loopholes, so they can cheat each other out of their money with their lawyers. These make my stomach turn.
- Well, - Qrow just sat down on the couch and crossed one leg over the other. - Oz said we should go to Atlas. - Weiss raised her head in horror at this statement.
- You got to be kidding?!
- Let's look at the bright side, - Nora, who had been lying on the floor until now, using her suitcase as a pillow. – at least we can move out of this house. – There was nothing to be done, Weiss and Roman, who didn't even want to go to Atlas, had to put up with it.
- You can guess, - Qrow was one of them. – I'm not in the mood for it either but without Spring Maiden to lock the relic back in the chamber, this is our best chance to get it safe.
- Atlas, - Ren had a reservation. – perhaps the safest kingdom in the current situation but its borders are closed. General Ironwood recalled all Atlas units.
- Not all. - Qrow took out his Scroll and projected the northern part of the Mistral continent. - Argus lies on the northern coast of Mistral and is the most important trading point between Anima and Solitas and is home to the largest Atlas military garrison outside of the kingdom. There's no way they'd just leave and if we play our cards right, there's a good chance we'll get them to accompany us straight to Ironwood.
- After all, - Blake had an idea and looked at Blake. – we have the heiress of Shnee Dust Company with us.
- Yes," Roman supported Blake's plan. - a good little ransom... - He suddenly came to his senses and, like someone whose tongue tripped, shook his head and corrected himself. – I mean, we would get a reward money for it. - He laughed to himself. - Sorry, old habit.
- As a matter of fact, - Weiss corrected her friend and gangster as she packed Dust vials into her suitcase. - I'm just the ex-heiress.
- True, - Yang tried to remain optimistic. – but if there is some chance of getting reward money, it wouldn't hurt to try. - He finally winked at Weiss, who just shook her head and closed her suitcase.
- Hopefully, this plan will come together. - Ozpin was happy that the others were able to smile even after what they had been through but he had to break their spirits. - I know it wouldn't hurt to give you some time to rest but the fact is that we're tight now.
- Yes, - Blake looked at the lantern. – while this thing is out of storage, there's a good chance it'll fall into the wrong hands.
- Anyway, - Jaune, holding his sword up, became curious about something. – what exactly can it do? Qrow didn't tell. - Qrow, who was just as in the dark about this as the others, looked at Ozpin curiously.
- I guess, - Roman was also curious, since he had never seen a real magic relic in his life. – it's not only lights up with pretty light?
- Of course. - Ozpin turned and leaned on his cane with both hands, then took the lantern from his belt with one and began to explain. - The Relic of Knowledge is a relic of incredibly powerful and dangerous power. - As he explained, the lantern began to grow and glow. – Its user can ask it any question and the spirit of the lantern will answer it.
- Amazing! - Ren was impressed.
- Unbelievable. - Blake also looked at him in amazement.
- I could use it a lot. - Roman's hand almost itched to steal it.
- Then what are we waiting for?! - Lance immediately had an idea. - Let's ask it about Salem's plans!
- Unfortunately, as much power as it has, there are some big disadvantages. – Ozpin immediately crushed their enthusiasm. - It cannot tell the future and only answers 3 questions.
- 3 questions for all users? - Mike raised his hand to ask.
- No. - Ozpin corrected him. – 3 questions every 100 years, regardless of user.
- You mean, - Lance tried to put it together in his head. – if I were to ask a question and give it to Mike, would there still only be two questions left?
- Exactly.
- Well, - Yang just shrugged. - it's not that bad either.
- But it's not that good either. - Roman looked at the lantern with disappointment.
- Then we'll figure it out quickly! – Nora immediately jumped up and energetically ran around everyone. - What should we ask first? - She grabbed the lantern obsessively and pushed it straight into her face. - Can we have more questions?! Can we?!
- It doesn't grant wishes. - Ren corrected Nora while rubbing his forehead.
- I'm afraid so, - Ozpin just laughed at Nora's energy, this girl could always make him smile. – it's unable to answer any questions currently. - Nora grumpily put down the lantern and sat back down. – I asked the last question 30 years before we closed it. We have to wait at least 70 years before we can use it again.
- Well, - Ruby just stared at the lantern. - at least we now know what it is.
- Yes, - Roman was completely disappointed. – a lighting junk that we can't use for anything.
- But we have to make it safe! - Ruby added.
- I agree, Ms. Rose. - Ozpin nodded.
- For what? - Roman just shook his head in confusion. - For 70 years, it does nothing, it just lights up. It's nothing but a junk.
After there was nothing left to discuss, the team members started packing their belongings into suitcases and prepared for another big trip. This time they didn't have to walk the many miles but they had at their disposal the train station of the city of Mistral, from where several trains left for different parts of the continent.
As Roman looked around the station, he remembered the year when he left Mistral. Of course, he was nervous but a lot of good things happened to him when he came to Vale and he hopes that good things will await him now that he leaves his home country again.
The station had not changed, it was full of restaurants, cafes, umbrella seats where guests could sit, as well as people coming and going from all over, who were either arriving in the city or just leaving. In the middle of the station, there were still those two dragon snake statues, coiled up towards the ceiling, one made of dark brown, the other cream-colored marble.
- What are you so excited about, Red? – Roman and the others looked at the excitedly bouncing Ruby, who was hiding something behind her back with a wide grin.
- Ta-da! - She took out a paper bag.
- What a waste of… - Weiss just rolled her eyes but Yang pushed her aside and headed towards her sister with full determination to get the bag.
- What did you buy me?! - Ruby just kept the bag from her.
- You have to wait until you can see it! - She just stuck her tongue out at her.
- It's no fair! – Yang had already left to get the package but the bickering sisters were interrupted by Nora's excited bouncing.
- Oh, I can't wait to get to Argus! Beautiful northern coast! - She turned lustfully towards Ren, whom she tried to imagine in a swimsuit. - Do you think it's still early for the beach season?
- Unfortunately, yes. - Ren broke her reverie with that. - But maybe there will be a swimming pool in Atlas?
- Yeah, - Roman still wasn't excited about the trip to Atlas. – if there is, it will be very expensive, full of rich, fat children who will pee in the pool.
- I hope you're happy that we're going to Atlas, - Weiss wasn't a fan of the idea either. – you couldn't imagine what I went through to leave Atlas!
- I know you're worried, - Ruby confidently sat next to her friend. – but trust me team RWBY won't leave you alone for a second. I promise.
- Neither does good old Torchwick, - Roman also sat next to him and patted his head. – until we get the ransom... - His tongue tripped again, but he quickly corrected it. – the reward money for you. – Weiss just got annoyed and pulled away from Roman, who sees her nothing more than a suitcase full of Lien.
- There's nothing to worry about, - Ironically, two armed men who looked like profiteers called the team. The one who spoke was a heavily built man wearing brown boots, dark gray pants, a brown gold metal buckle, a brown belt, a black t-shirt, a black leather jacket, and brown gloves. He had short, black hair and smiled at the team with fake kindness as he rested his cylinder-shaped mace with triangular spikes growing out of it on his shoulder. – while we're on board!
The other man, wearing black boots, pants, a brown belt, a white shirt, a blue vest and black mittens, wore his long brown hair in a ponytail, but a lock hung down by his right eye and a beard that only covered the tip of his chin, was elegantly cut. He rested a big muzzle on his left shoulder and, like his companion, a fake, condescending smile sat on his face.
- Speaking of profiteers… - Weiss and the others looked at the two men suspiciously.
- And you are...? - Nora also guessed that they didn't just want to be friends.
- Dee, - The man with the mace first introduced himself and then his partner. – and Dudley, of course. Real Hunters from the Argus area. We'll protect everyone as we move through Grimm-infested areas.
- But, - Dudley took over. – for a generous tip, we can arrange for your car to receive extra attention. - He winked. - In case something goes wrong.
Ruby and Yang simultaneously leaned at the two men's pathetic attempt to make extra money.
- I have something for you! - Suddenly, Qrow's voice was heard coming from the post office, returning to the team after delivering a letter to Ironwood. – Knock off! - He stood between the two men and his two nieces. - Looks like the Mistral Hunters are on the decline these days. - The two men didn't like Qrow's intervention, nor the fact that the two girls mocked them by making all kinds of faces and pointing at them.
- Hey, you're talking… - Dee was about to throw in the Hunter rank but Qrow stopped him when he showed his own license.
- A professional Hunter. – As soon as they saw that the license was real, they immediately backed off. - If you leave now, maybe I won't report that you left the staff entrance completely unguarded. Shame on you for failing in your work before it began.
- I… - Dudley looked at his partner in horror. - It was not me!
- Let's go, stupid. - Dee just sighed and turned the corner, pulling his companion behind him.
- You know, - Oscar spoke. – the burden of saving the world can sometimes be quite burdensome. - He looked up at the team smiling. - But people like that make me happy that it's our job and not theirs.
Nobody could argue with this statement.
- So, - Qrow asked one last question before leaving. – are you ready to travel?
- Yep!
- We're just waiting for Blake, Mike and Lance. - Weiss reminded them.
Blake said goodbye to Ilia and Luna one last time in the upstairs section of the station.
- I'm so sorry about what happened to Lynda. - As much as Ilia was happy to have another chance at redemption, she was still haunted by the burden of the past and the crimes she had committed. - I feel like it's all my fault.
- Are you telling me? - Luna, too, could hardly look Monty in the eye after what happened. - I lost a family member.
- I feel like - The two girls were mostly grateful to Blake. - we don't even deserve what your family did for us.
- Well, - Blake forgave them. - You have to get over this, Luna, Ilia. Saving Haven is a good start to making faunus better treated in Mistral. Now you just have to continue on this path.
- Yes! - Ilia was full of hope for redemption.
- This will be our penance. - Luna was also ready for a second chance.
- Maybe the White Fang was a failure, - Ilia hoped that they wouldn't make the same mistake as the old organization before. – but with your father creating a new movement, the New White Fang, we have more faith than before. - She hugged Blake. - Thank you, Blake. For everything. - She could feel the sadness in her voice caused by Blake's departure. - I wish you didn't have to go yet.
- I know, - The hug ended. – but my team needs me. The people responsible for the attack on Haven and the fall of Beacon are still out there and must be stopped.
- You won't be bored at all. - Luna just laughed.
- That's the advantage if you want to save the world. - Ilia joined.
- You wouldn't imagine how true this is.
- Blake, - Luna was worried about one thing about the future. - Do you think Monty will… ever forgive me?
- I can't say for sure, - Blake looked across the station where Lance and Mike were still talking to the faunus boy. – but if he's like her sister, he just needs time. The wound in his heart is still fresh.
- And she really pooped there?! - Monty laughed after Lance told a funny story from Beacon that included Lynda with them.
- Yes... - Mike just blushed awkwardly from the unpleasant memory. – and I had to pick it up. I learned then to never treat Lynda like a dog.
- We really don't like that. - Monty warned.
- Despite all that, - Lance also remembered the pleasant times when they were together with the faunus girl. - we have many good memories with her.
- All of us. Mike added.
- She died because of them. – Monty looked at Luna and Ilia by the stairs, who were saying goodbye to Blake. - Because they betrayed her and their friends. – The two boys looked at each other and remembered the fourth member of the LLMM team, Mandy, who also betrayed them.
- Yes, - Mike leaned down and smiled kindly. – but they regretted it and want to fix it.
- But Lynda can no longer be resurrected! – Monty burst out. - Nothing will bring my sister back!
- We know, - Lance tried to reassure him. – just like them but if we don't give them a second chance to atonement, then what?
- Atonement? - Monty shook his head a little confused, as if he didn't know what the word meant.
- When someone does something wrong, - Mike explained. - but he tries to make amends and get them to forgive him.
- What do you think? - Lance asked as he saw Monty's thoughtful face. - Will you give them a chance?
Monty didn't say anything, he just walked past the two boys to head towards the girls. Ilia and Luna noticed, then Blake turned and smiled kindly at her.
- Monty... - Luna looked sadly at her little brother.
- Blake, - Monty turned to Blake. – you forgive them and give them another chance.
- Yes, Monty. I do.
- Right, - Now he asked the other two girls. – do you know that what you did was a bad thing?
- Yes, Monty, - Luna just nodded with her eyes closed. - we know.
- And we are very sorry. - Ilia added.
- Can you forgive me? - Luna looked at the boy pleadingly.
- I think I can give you to at men. - The two girls looked at each other confused at this statement.
- At men? - Luna shook her head as if she had misunderstood.
- Atonement. - Corrected Lance, who appeared behind Monty with Mike. - You'll get a second chance from him.
- Thanks, Monty. - Relieved, Luna knelt down to hug him, but the boy didn't go to her.
- Is something wrong? – Ilia was worried, both girls saw that Monty couldn't decide whether to go to Luna.
- I promise, - Luna looked at Monty with sad hope. – you won't be disappointed in us. - Not knowing what to do, Monty looked up at Lance, who leaned down to him.
- Listen, your sister and Ilia made a stupid mistake, which they are very sorry for. They need all the support they can get to do atonement. And if they go down the wrong road again, I promise, - He pointed to himself and Mike. – that your two new brothers will come back and slap their butts. – Monty just smiled and finally, he went into Luna's arms and hugged her.
- Thank you, Lance. - Luna was grateful to the Red Knight for convincing her little brother to give her another chance.
- I meant it, - Lance warned the two girls. – don't let him disappoint in you.
- Time to go. – Mike saw that the team was already waiting for them.
Blake, who had been talking with Sun and his teammate Neptune, came and said goodbye.
- Hey, - Neptune called out to Luna curiously, staring at her purple hair. - I see you like the colored hair too. - He tried to get closer to her.
- Do you think he has a chance with any of them? - Lance asked laughing.
- He's knocking on the wrong door at Ilia, - Blake answered. - but I don't know Luna.
- I mean, - Mike noticed the resemblance, Luna's purple hair and Neptune's blue hair. - they both have colored hair.
- Maybe it will become clear in time. - Lance shrugged.
- Not sure, - Blake interrupted the two boys. - Luna stays here in Mistral while Sun and his team go to Vacuo. So…
- There won't be a chance. - Lance finished.
Once down the stairs and joining the waiting party, they boarded the train, which soon headed north, straight for Argus.
